Error with movie thumbnails in Library module

Hello!
I have a Nikon D7000 and I'm having problems with Lightroom's Library module: the preview of the movies doesn't work, I'm getting an error. I'm attaching a screenshot. Could this be fixed before Lightroom 3.4?

Error with saving of photo library

I am getting this error message:
"An error occurred while trying to save your photo library.
Some recent changes may be lost. Make sure your hard disk has enough space and that iPhoto is able to access the iPhoto Library."
My most recently imported photos are not being saved into the library. Please help.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
This sounds like a damaged database file.
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums back.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

Working with multiple files in Library module

Hello,
I am trying to work with a subset of files in the Library module. Doing things like delete, rotate, flag etc. I select the files by Ctrl-Click (WXP) and then try to do the function--sometimes it works, other times it may delete or roate the wrong file. How can I get this to work everytime?

This may not help, but the times when that happens to me is when I go too fast and some operations haven't finished. I then try to select a file that hasn't completed and the file I select is in the process of having the data updated. The worst is when it is trying to render as I am doing something.

White thumbnails in Library module (CC 2015)

hi, with the new version of Lightroom (CC 2015) I've got a very annoying problem: some miniature in the library module is totaly white, the picture doesn't exist for LR, but the picture really exist in their original folder. someone can give me some help? Thanks

Someone on another thread suggested this work around.
"Instead of exporting from your "Develop" module, try exporting from the "Library" module. I just tried this and it worked with no issues."

"Image not Found" error with Show Thumbnails

Using Dreamweaver's ADDT "Show Thumbnail" server behavior, I get an "image not found" error. The thumbnail has been created because I can see in on the remote server. I am new at this, please help!

I´m now trying to understand your scenario -- so if I get it right, the file list recordset retrieves the correct image folder
(assuming you´re passing the dynamic folder name from e.g. an URL variable "id_dog"), but just displays one image rather than looping through all images in that directory ? However, can you please post the code of the page containing the file list recordset ?

I used this in abap program then it is uploading fine but when used in the web dynpro file is not uploading. On debugging it is showing error in function module SDOK_PHIOS_CHECKIN
error key 5 ie error in transfer.
So please suggest how to upload in web dynpro abap.

MIGO Goods Receipt - error with Movement Types on GR from Inbound Delivery

Hi,
I am getting an error message when processing a Goods Receipt (MIGO) against an Inbound Delivery with as 2 lines with different movement types, a standard 101 and a 970 (the latter being a user defined movement type for free goods).
The error message I get is 'Movement type 970 is not allowed; only 101 is allowed
Message no. BORGR622'
This error message only occurs with a Goods Receipt against an Inbound Delivery, we are able to process a similar Goods Receipt using MIGO against a Purchase Order, with two different movement types 101 and 970, without any issues.
It is only a problem with a GR against an Inbound Delivery which is necessary in our MM solution.
As anybody and ideas how to resolve this? I cannot see anything obvious in config, and have not spotted any SAP OSS notes either.
I should mention that we can process a single line Inbound Delivery and Goods Receipt for the Movement Type 970 also!

The solution was set up at my company before I joined, but the different movement type is to enable the free goods stock to make a Finance posting to a Bonus Stock GL Account. Bonus stock sale update the same account.
As I mention the '970' movement type worked fine with Goods Receipt against a Purchase Order (it was coded into to the user exit).
The MM procedures were changed to use the Inbound Delivery matched to the PO, this had a result that when the Goods receipt was posted in MIGO it posted as 101 movement, as the PO number was not being recognised.
By making a further change to the user exit we able to suggest the '970' movement type, but now get the BORGR622 error I refer to.
'511' is not possible against an inbound delivery either.

Error with the FIELD CAT function module.

This was the error message i had got from the FIELDCAT function module.
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_READ_SRC_LINE_TOO_LONG', was
     not caught in
    procedure "K_KKB_FIELDCAT_MERGE" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by a
     RAISING clause.
    Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
    exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
    The reason for the exception is:
    There was an attempt to read program "/A1SSPC/ITP_SCH_REP" from the database.
    The READ REPORT statement allows you to copy a program text into an
    internal table. The occupied line length in the program text must not
    exceed the width of the internal table.
    The internal table "\FUNCTION=K_KKB_FIELDCAT_MERGE\DATA=???" is 72 characters
     wide. The program line is
    204 characters wide.

Errors with movies or podcasts

I keep getting errors when opening iWeb, such as couldn't load bundled movie. This also happens with some (but not all) podcasts that I share from GarageBand to iWeb. I fix the errors and publish, but the next time I open iWeb, the errors are there again. I have fixed the errors a couple times now, but any time I launch iWeb, those same errors are back.
I'm using iWeb 3.0.4 on my MacBook Pro. I would appreciate any help.

Download errors with movie rentals

I have a 32 GB iPAD with almost nothing loaded up yet. I tried to download two movies directly on to my ipad via the itunes store app on it. The movies started downloading until they suddenly stopped and it says on my ipod "download error tap to retry" . I retried it and it did the same thing so i waited a couple days and retried and it said the same error message. I already paid for these 2 movies is there any way i can download them?..

I have the same issue on my brand new 32GB Wifi iPad bought in Montreal. Tried to download a rental in HD from the itunes store directly to the iPad. It almost completely downloaded and then upon checking the status of the download it said download error. Music video's, music, and apps all download just fine. When I tried "check for downloads" in iTunes on my Mac, it does not show up, and now I cant delete the space the partially downloaded rental occupies :S.

Error with movies in Quicktime

I cannot see any movie in this computer. I've played them in another mac and they run well. They are in .avi and my quicktime only says that there is an error and that i might need to downoad something from the quicktime page but it does not say what.
The screen is just white when it opnes and also when a click play.
Has anyone had this problem?

Open the file with QuickTime Player.
Open the Movie Info window (Command-i).
Note the name of the video codec used in the file.
Do a Google.com search for codec name +Mac and download one appropriate for your OS and computer.
Quit and relaunch QuickTime after installing the new codec.
Try the file again.

Quicktime errors with .mov's captured in premiere. HELP!

I captured video through Adobe Premiere CS3 to a FAT32 external. It stopped twice during capture before I changed it to capture to the computers internal HD. I went back to retrieve the files that had stopped during capture. and the .mov files cannot be opened by anything. VLC says "no moov box" and quicktime says it's a filetype that it cannot understand.
i've captured countless times through premiere and this has never happend. is there a way to repair the files, convert them, etc? help please.

Chris -
You don't want to be capturing video to a FAT 32 drive in the Mac world. Your QT wrapper didn't make it all the way around the file - probably because of a 2gig limit.
If you are going to continue using this drive for scratch video drive remove everything, reformat to MAC OS Extended and re load. Capturing to your internal system drive isn't the best either, as you know.

I Nearly bought from Amazon too but I found a thread from Adobe stating that the only recognized outlet for lightoom is themselves and other outlets serial numbers will not be guaranteed.
THat at was sufficient for me to buy direct from Adobe, hope you get it sorted.

Why do I get an error message when I tried to switch from Library module to the Develop module?

I've been using my LR3 for a few months but this is the first time that I got an error message when I was switching from the Library module to the the Develop module. I have a macbook pro with 500 GB HD. I am currently using 450 GB already. Anyone have an idea how I can fix this. Thank you.
