I had this exact same problem just now, trying to upgrade to 10.7.
I even got that error msg when trying to UNINSTALL iTunes!
After hours of frustration trying everyone's different suggestions, I downloaded Revo Uninstaller http://www.cnet.com.au/apps/revo-uninstaller-10610875/ which solved the problem.
Use it to help uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Then you can install iTunes from scratch.

I hope someone can help me. I've tried, multiple times, to install the latest iTunes but I keep getting the following message:

Does anyone know what this means? I'm running Windows Vista. I originally had iTunes 7.3 but needed the upgrade for iPod Nano. I have uninstalled it and removed the Mobile Device Support and Quicktime to try and reinstall everything but nothing it working.

When you get this message you need to manually remove the Gear drivers before installing iTunes.

When I click on finalize project or when I tried to share on Vimeo iMovie goes through this ten hour operation and the, somethime while I'm away from the computer, I get this error message. UNABLE TO PREPARE PROJECT FOR PUBLISHING. The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred. (File already open with with write permission).
This has happened to me before and I can't nail down the particulars of when this happens. I will say I've never been able to Finalize A Project (not even sure what than means) but I have been able to publish short films to YouTube. This current film is a little over an hour and I picked the HD Format. Could the size have something to do with it?

Trash the preference files while application is NOT Running.
Easiest way to find out if this is the problem is by:
• Create a new User-Account
• Log out of Your old one and into this
• Re-try iMovie
If it now works OK - then 99.9% the problem is iMovie pref. file that needs to be trashed.

No Service Error: FTP Adapter file write

Hi,
I am trying to write a file to a FTP server (Windows).
I am able to connect to the FTP through command prompt and put the files as well.
And to connect to FTP through IE, I had to uncheck "Use Passive FTP" under Tools-Internet Options-Advanced and then I was able to access folders successfully.
But through FTP adapter, I am getting No Service Error. Below is complete error message.

I was contacted by our DBA team for an exception received while writing a file to a FTP location.
Then i looked at the exception message and asked them to check the whether they are able to contact the ftp server using command prompt then they said the user password got expired.
They reset the password and its working now.
Am i missing something here :(

Maxl on error write to does not create error file

The following MaxL statement functions except the creation of the dimbuild.err file. I have tried numerous combinations of syntax, server, folders without success.
I am running this from the MaxL editor on the eas web server.

I am cloning in windows 2003, 11.5.10.2. After copying files while runnig
adcfgclone.pl dbTier it is hanging at 13% and throwing error "The Destination file does not have write permissions ......\9.2.0\OPatch\perl_modules\Command.pm"
i am not using MKS perl.
i changed directory to $ORACLE_HOME\Apache\perl\5.*\MS*\
perl .....\appsutil\clone\bin\adcfgclone.pl dbTierPlease any pointers will be helpful.

You should be able to copy within the restrictions. You can double-check that with the sellers (Kobo).

If the pocket book is already authorized but to a different ID, you will need to deauthorize it first, ctrl-shift-E to ADE with device plugged in (or cmd-shift-E on Mac).
Be aware that will lose the ability to read DRM books authorized with the previous ID.

Ebook error message: "Fail to write destination file error"

I am attempting to transfer ebooks (checked out via my library's ebook consortium) from Adobe Digital Editions to my Nook. I have done this in the past with no issues, but recently I have been getting the following error message: "Fail to write destination file error".
I know the issue is NOT lack of space on my Nook (I cleared it of all info and still received the error message).

I had this problem as well, and after doing some research via google (because I found NOTHING helpful in adobe forums), I found the problem....my Nook was full. I had no idea this was even possible! But, I borrow a lot of library books, and didn't realize that after they expire, they are still taking up space on my Nook. Here's how to check: plug your Nook into your computer, go to file manager (right-click the start button in Windows), find the Nook drive and right click, choose properties. This should show you a pie chart of used/free space on your Nook. If this is the case, you need to remove some files from your Nook. For me, I had to find the Digital Editions file and delete all the thumbnails and actual files for the library books. If it's booked you've purchased, perhaps you need to archive some books. Hope this helps!

I have this error in 3 different cube:
A write to file [essbase/e22/app/appli/database/ess00022.pag], from address [0x3ce329d0] with handle [135] to offset [886063104] for [0] bytes, failed with error [2] after [6607] bytes.
A write to file [essbase/e20/app/appli/database/ess00022.pag], from address [0x2da58670] with handle [157] to offset [886071296] for [0] bytes, failed with error [0] after [2687] bytes.
A write to file [essbase/e13/app/appli/database/ess00007.pag], from address [0x2da58670] with handle [164] to offset [338931712] for [0] bytes, failed with error [2] after [3431] bytes.
For this cube, i use four partition storage : e22, e20, e13 and e18.
The error occurs in the last pag file of each partition (Each partition is about 45Go).
The final cube is greater than 100Go like the 2 others.
Cube lower than 45Go works fine.
Can someone help me ?
