I am having problems installing Bluestacks emular on my HP Pavillion Laptop. It always says that update my graphics card driver. I really wanted to install Bluestacks so that I can play any android games on my HP Pavillion. I hope you can help me. Thank you so much. God bless!

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv4-1465dx Entertainment Notebook PC and needing to use BlueStacks App Player. Here is a link to uninstall software in Windows 8. You need to uninstall this Bluestacks software and reinstall it.
If this does not help here is a link to Bluestacks Support page. As it is third party software.

Updating graphics card driver for G5350uk

We have a G5350uk desktop. Serial Number: [edited Serial Number by Moderator] Product Number: XS612EA. Its running 64bit windows7 and internet explorer 8, which is no longer compatible with a number of web pages so we wanted to upgrade to ie11.
Except we can't upgrade because we don't have service pack 1 installed. Service Pack1 can't be installed because our graphics card driver is one of those that stops the windows update from functioning properly and detecting Service Pack 1.
So I tried to upgrade the device driver, but its says its the most current one, so I loaded the Intel untility which told me I needed to source the driver from the manufacturer.
So I came to the G5350 support page and allowed it to scan my PC. I get then get into a loop with the annoying message pasted below.
HP was unable to verify that you have this product, but did find other products.

Which is all very frustrating as i'm clearly searching for the right thing, the web site says it can't find what I'm looking for but then tells me its found exactly what I'm looking for! When I select the option suggested it just goes back around in the same loop.
I stil don't have an updated graphics card driver to get around the Service Pack installation issue and so still can't look at an increasing number of websites.
What am I missing?

Mazrak, welcome to the forum.
This is the only driver that is available for your Integrated Video. You can't use retail versions of drivers for HP's Integrated Video.
I suggest uninstalling the current driver by going into Control Panel / Device Manager / Display adapters. Right click on your adapter and select "Uninstall". Then, you can install the driver that I provided and reboot. This may solve your problem if a glitch has occurred.

Update graphic card driver

Hey, guys. I have a macbook pro with 330m nvidia card on board. I started to play Skyrim(a game) in windows 7 a few days ago. Knowing the graphic card driver is not updated, I have been always ponderring on if it worth a try to update the driver on my own, instead of waiting for Apple to do it. Basically, I am not sure about the risk. Will the latest official driver overheat my laptop? Also, should I install the whole package (including Physix and others), or only the graphic card driver? Anyone who have experience please help? Thx.

Boot Camp has been a great asset for we who desire to play PC games on our Macs. A problem I see emerging is the thinning down of the laptops. Faster chips and less space means more heat to get rid of. Because of this I think we are seeing some compromise in the Macs. Until the latest round of new models the MacBook Pros pretty much kept up with the gaming PCs in regards to the processor, graphics, and RAM.
Here is a comparison of what is currently available for maxed out 15" laptops from Apple and Clevo. I assume the compactness of the Mac precludes the use of the higher performing components.

Looking to Update Graphics Card

Looking to update my 2009 Mac Pro graphics cards which is an ATI RADEON HD4870.
I run a triple booting machine SL 10.6.8, Lion 10.7.5 and WIndows 7 under Bootcamp
so need the bootscreen.
Looking for a plug n play card that requires no extra cables or flashing.

did you rule out and not interested in go with 5770? I mean you jbuilt a fence and know Apple has next to nothing that is sensible in price/performance.
I think GTX are nice but not with 10.6.8. MacVidCards does the support and flashing.
And yes there is better performance with even 5770.

Sounds just like what was happening with my Alum MB. I took it in and they replaced my battery. It seems to be ok now. I don't know what it is, but my battery was fine before 10.5.6 and the same timeframe of the firmware updates when they came out.
My battery health was jumping around but was fine before all of this happened. Unfortunately at 381 cycles I don't think you have much chance of getting the battery for free. Perhaps you can complain about the battery saying it was fine until 10.5.6 or whatever. Have Upgrade Graphic Card Driver, But Still Cannot Adjust Screen Brightness and Sleep Button Not Showing After Clean Installation of Windows 8.1

I have done clean installation of Windows 8.1 on my HP Pavilion G4.
Then I realize that I cannot put my computer on sleep mode and cannot adjust screen brightness.
I understand that those problems caused by the graphic card driver.
My computer is running on AMD Radeon HD 6400 series.
Thus, I manually search on internet and found a latest graphic card update on microsoft site that is claimed compatible on windows 8.1 (link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/dn344644.aspx).
I've upgraded it into the latest one. I've check on Device Manager, the driver is running well.
But my problem did not solved!

How about go to Device Manager, then uninstall Graphic driver and restart your computer, system will install its build in graphic drver. You can have a try.
In addition, access to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Brightness and set its value to 100 for test.

Why OpenCL is grayed out in supported and updated graphics card?

Hi,
I have NVIDIA GeForce 520 which does support open CL and is officially tested by Adobe.
I have the most updated driver installed from Nvidia.
I have win 7 64bit
I use Photoshop CS6 64bit
and still in preferences->performance->advanced settings
I see "Use OpenCL" grayed out.
Can anyone explain this?

I don't think ATI users necessarily have a totally different driver issue: we've confirmed through your thread that the problem causing OpenCL to intermittently become unavailable is most likely to be the result of errors caused by the graphics card driver, and I'm hopeful that it will be resolved by future driver updates (in fact GraySki's experience is that it already has been fixed on the ATI side). What causes PS to identify that there's a driver error may vary considerably: might be rendering video as you've experienced, might be using say the new blur filters. Updating Graphics Card: I have what was sold as a HP performance desktop computer about 3 years ago. With a AMD FX-6100 processor and a 2MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 530 graphics card. No intergrated graphics that I know of. Being interested in CG animation it soon became obvious that graphics card was to weak for my purposes. So recently I have tried to update with 3 NVIDIA cards. The first two being 'T - Cards' and now I have a GeForce GT 740 2MB as a expensive paper weight. I have read every tutorial on updating graphics cards to no avail. Now I read on this forum since my BIOS was created a year before I bought the computer and hasn't been updated since by HP I'm stuck with what came on the machine. SOME PERFORMANCE MACHINE. I also see where if AMD had a BIOS update it could screw up my system restore. This is my 3rd HP but I sing the praises no more.

Dave the U.S. Army trained me in electronics with tube carrier equipment way back in the day. Then I went to work as a electrician on nuclear submarines many times working in computer switching cabinets which no doubt cost more then my first house. So a desktop doesn't exacty intimidate me. In reference to the Zotac card I have no idea what DOA means. I have a Blender friend in Germany who bought his computer about the same time she bought mine. With a AMD processor and motherboard. His first update was a GFX 680 I believe with no problems. Then since he wants to animate he bought a Nvidia Titan. Once again no problem and Windows 7 went looking for driver updates. Smooth as silk and he simply can't understand why I'm having a problem. A problem which has played out in private e-mails and not on the Blender Forum. If I understand your post correctly the BIOS could be updated if HP wanted to. And, there lies the problem. And, the reason I would not recommend a HP to anyone interested in CG Graphics. While my German buddy is updating graphics cards at will with a AMD motherboard and processor I'm stuck with this. It's laughable in a way. Here I have one of the most popular computers in America and he has whatever they have in Germany. I'll take what he has quite frankly. Performance computers my ass. Bios Update/ Graphics Card

Hello I am having problems finding the bios update (download) for my computer, I looked all around the "hp" website and I can't find any downloads for bios. I recently re-installed and updated my graphics card because it wouldn't run hardware acceleration or any games that I tryed to start up, so now everytime I start up my computer it freezes while booting, but once I go into safemode and disable my Nvidia GeForce 7350 Le my computer boots up fine but my graphics card won't run, I have searched up over the internet for this problem and what I came across is that I need a bios update for my updated graphics card to work properly. My current bios is {Phoenix Technologies, LTD 5.08, (12/ 8/2006)} what I am looking for is the download link for {P5LP-LE Motherboard BIOS Update, Version:5.23, (Aug 26, 2011)}. I have read that you can only get the update from the "hp" website, and I can't find it. If anyone could help I would gladly apprectiate it, also if you think i'm doing somthing wrong or taking the wrong steps into fixing this problem please let me know, Thank You!!

When you click on download, you get 2 options namely.
1. Use HP Download and Install Assistant (Recommended)
2. Download only.
When you click on the 2nd option, download only the file will start downloading.
I tried from my end and it worked fine.
Please try from a different web browser and check.

PS CC telling me that my graphics card driver needs an update... any ideas?

I have just tried to use a filter on PS CC and PS tells me that I need to make sure my performance settings are allowing accerated graphics card use. When I go into the preferences to check, there is a note telling me to update my graphics card driver. This isn't being picked up with a software update and when I check for a driver update manually, they are all executable files...
Any ideas?

I'm looking to buy my first Mac Pro and i'm very excited about it!
I haven't bought it yet because i'm waiting for Apple to upgrade their current graphics cards that are available in the current line up.
The ATI Radeon HD 5770 or the ATI Radeon HD 5870. Altough they are very good graphic cards, I feel that they are very outdated.
Would there be any chance of Apple upgrading their current line up to Nvidia GTX 680?

Task Privileges for Existing Users - Looking for a global update solution

After some reading I understand that if you set the task privileges for the PUBLIC user in the Privileges section of Discoverer Administrator (10g), any new user created in the system will pick up the privileges you have assigned to the PUBLIC user.
I currently have 4000+ users who have access to Discoverer Plus and the ability to create/edit queries. I want to limit who can access Discoverer Plus functionality to approximately 150 users.
I have changed my PUBLIC user to NOT have privileges but this will only affect new users. Is there any way to restrict 4000+ users without having to go through each user individually and set the privileges.
I am looking for a global update solution. I am wondering if this can be done through the back-end.

If you change the rights for the public user then other users, who have not been manually adjusted in any way, will automatically pick up the public rights. Therefore, if you have a lot of users that are not changing this means that at some point in their life you will have clicked OK or Apply on the screen with a user displayed. This now assigns the rights to that user as opposed to inheriting them from the public user.
What you are describing is the perfect reason why you should not administer Discoverer using user accounts but to use roles or responsibilities instead.
In your case you are now somewhat stuck. The programatic way to revoke these rights is to drop rows from the EUL5_ACCESS_PRIVS table but this could take longer than doing inside Discoverer. Basically, when a user has been granted privileges one row per privilege is inserted into this table. The column AP_EU_ID contains the ID of the user. The column GP_APP_ID is the one that tells you what privilege a user has. Here is a list of the privileges:

Theoretically you could manually delete rows from this table and that will revoke the rights. In reality, Oracle do not like it when inexperienced users manually the EUL as you could corrupt it. Therefore, any manual updates must be done with utmost caution after making sure you back up or have a copy of the table you will be updating - just in case.

LabVIEW cannot locate some components necessary to build the installer - looking for "Setup" installer

I have an application that has been upgraded to LabVIEW 8. I have previously been able to build the exe and installer but recently the installer part of the build has been failing with the following error message:
Unable to locate the installer source for "Setup" distribution.
Locate the distribution and try again
The dialog includes a file path prompt that is pointing at the Installer\Volume directory where Installer is the target directory for the build. The installer build is configured to span CD-sized volumes (650MB)
There are no sources or support files named anything like Setup that I can see.
The installer includes DaqMX and the LabVIEW 8 runtime engine as additional installers
The build works ok If I turn off the DaqMX driver installer

And sometimes it gives me a different error:

So it's sort of working but not entirely reliable. I think I've seen the path to the DAQmx installer in the Additional Installers tab replaced with the path into the installer build directory I was being prompted with earlier but I haven't been able to replicate this.

Graphic card driver update doesn't work for Windows 8.1 upgrade (Ideapad Y500)

I upgraded my windows 8 to Windows 8.1 today and it probably is a huge mistake. After the upgrade my Ideapad Y500 started to look weird (Firefox stopped working). I searched around for solution and was told that I probably need to upgrade the driver to my graphic card. So I went to the driver download page and downloaded the NVIDIA GeForce GT750M Second VGA BIOS Update for Windows 8.1
I followed the instruction to run the "Winflash_Yx00s.bat" file, but after I seleted "yes" to let it modify the system, there is a very fast flashing a little black window (too fast for me to see what it is), and nothing happens afterwards. I checked to make sure that nothing is running in the background. After waited for half an hour I tried to restart the computer and still nothing happens. The display still looks weird.
Please help me!

when I read posts like yours I often do the test myself
so I went into skype both metro and desktop skype and to my horror like you I did not have the option only my logitech webcam was an option
I went into devices and see that ht had FaceTimeHD camera (Built-in) as malfunctioning not working devices there
I went to my bootcamp driver zip and ran the apple AppleCamera64.exe
but little did it help then I googled it

did the uninstall of both of the unknown devices as suggested and ran a scan for new hardware and bam!
the camera was back in action
suppose looking like a gobling shark made it so I never noticed that win8.1 had broken my facetime cam before you brought it up
