If not, then it would look to be a fault with the keyboard. try cleaning the keyboard first with some compressed air. if that don't work then it would require another keyboard.

Machine that gets Time Machine Error ALL THE TIME

Lets try and list out all the machines that cannot get Time Machine to work all the time.

Is the Drive formatted with a GUID partition? Look in Partitions in Disk Utilities. If it isn't GUID, set it to GUID, reformat, and try TM again.

Mario kart Nintendo Wii online error all the time,...

I have a problem with Nintendo's Wii Mario Kart. I never had this issue with BT Broadband ADSL, only since being on Infinity option 2. When I try to go into an online game with Mario Kart Wii it keeps coming up with an error 91010, Disconnected from data during data transmission. Error Code:-91010. I have looked it up on the internet and it must come down to an Infinity problem. I have tried going back to 802.11 b/g/n (Recommended) but that makes no difference also I have activated the DMZ Enabled with Wii and also activated ports 1-65535 on TDP/UDP but still no luck, the error keeps popping up all the time.
Has anyone come across this problem before and resolved it?. I would like some help because its becoming very annoying and I luv having a blast on Mario kart Wii online its a real shame.

It only appears to be Mario Kart on the Wii, that's why it's so unusual - other games will also perform better as they'll be over ethernet too

I would try these things;
1. Run Repair Permissions from the install disk.
2. Run Hardware Test from the install disk.
3. Try creating another user account and see if the problem continues.
3. Do a clean install of the system software if steps 1 & 2 find nothing.

"Unknown Error" all the time, every time on render of project, any codec

Trying to render a feature length documentary for a film festival (ie.. I don't have time for this). The project timeline runs 1 hour and 20 minutes. If I try and export or queue the timeline in media encoder to h.264, QuickTime or Select "Match Sequence Settings" as my output format, the media encoder fails to render with the very informative "UNKNOW ERROR" every time at random point in the render procedure. When rendering it as an mpeg once, I am able to see one place where it crashed. It is a place in the timeline where the are no transition, not cuts, no overlays, absolutely nothing out of the ordinary. Yet, it crashed there this time. Next time, it will crash elsewhere.
I am trying to render the timeline on segment at a time. So far, each smaller segment of 20 minute blocks seems to be rending just fine and goes past the points where other renders failed. Looks like Media Encoder can't handle large projects.
Here's all the requested information for a complete diagnosis of the problem.
Error given to me by Media Encoder : "Unknown Error" --that's it. The time rendered varies between 43 minutes and 3 hours.

I need this timeline rendered and I'm not interested becoming a forensic-level technical authority on Premiere to get it. This problem has come and gone now for months and is intolerable. I pay for software and I expect it to work, and at least give me something more useful than "UNKNOW ERROR." There is no such thing. As a former developer, I can say with authority that simply dumping to a message that says this is lazy and sloppy programming. Buffer underruns, stack overflows..whatever. Everything is caused by something. I can't begin to diagnose this problem unless Adobe provides software error handing that gives me some idea of what happens. Where did it happen in the timeline? What routine/subroutine gave the error? Was it a codec error? Come on....these things are not unknowable.
Adobe, PLEASE stop coming out with new features when you can't make your existing pay by the month software reliable! Maybe FCPX is worth another look.

UPDATE:
tried rending the entire project as Quicktime ProRes 422 (since that is what clips were recorded in originally anyway) and Media Encoder gto 89% complete....and the entire application CRASHED. WHO-HOO! Way to go, Adobe!!!!!

G5 quad 2,5 ghz errors all the time

hi there!
well i was so happy with my new machine till the day the errors started. first of all there were several kernel panics and it booted with open firmware itself. i tried to reset the ram and tried booting with plugged off every cables of no need. no changes - so i´ve read in some threads that there might be a software problem - everything installed new - after 1 day the same problems again - hardware test runs ok every time i try - then i checked the ram - i´ve got 4,5 gb inside. when i´m running only 2,5 it´s ok - but when i´m running all the 4,5 gb i always have the kernel panic and restart computer or open firmware bootings - i hope nobody of you have the same problems, but maybe someone can have some hints for me!

thanks for the reply - i´ve bought it in an apple store - the ram manufactorer is samsung - the ram is from the same store where the g5 quad is from - i´ve already tried to figure out which ram is bad - the store told that there can be something wrong with the ram and that i should bring the bad to swap - but i´ve tried all the ram changing and changing, but everything worked - only when i put in the whole 4,5 gb i have the troubles! that´s what i can´t get in my mind!

_DESCRegisterDockExtraClient failed Error All The Time

Can someone please tell me why I keep getting this error in my console log so often:
_DESCRegisterDockExtraClient failed
My iMac stalls at startup when it does this so I immediately know for sure that I will see the error in the console log once the iMac has booted. It doesn't happen every time I startup. It seems like the iMac goes through "phases" where it will do this on every startup for a couple of days, then it doesn't do it at all for a week. I've checked the hardware and software with Disk Utility, TechTool Pro 5, checked all the RAM, reset PRAM, reset SMU - done everything in the book including starting up from the Leopard startup CD and running AHT. No problems reported.

Since this doesn't happen everytime you start the Mac, if you can, go to System Preferences/Accounts - Login Items. Delete any login items listed and restart the Mac.
And go to: MacintoshHD/Library/Startup Items. Delete any files there.
Try starting up with only the necessary external hardware. Disconnect printers / scanners... etc. and see if that makes a difference.
Try starting up in Mac OS X: Startup in Safe Mode
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck

Errors all the time in Outlook 2010?

Hi,
For the past 2 days I cannot recieve or send emails at all on one of my laptops but on the other it does work fine. They both have the same set ups using MS Outlook 2010 but the other latop is on Windows 7 and this one is on windows 8.1 which does not work and I'm thinking it may have something to do with windows 8.1 which has happened over the past couple of days maybe an update or something that has caused the problems but I dont know what, the only thing I have been doing is resetting my equipment router/modem becuase I have been having speed issues with Infinity and I am waiting on BT to fix the issue, could it be that should I reset the equipment again and try outlook 2013? or also could it be something I have changed in the Home Hub 5 options?. sorry I really don't know what couold of happened?

When I just try to test account I get:

Now here's more to add to the mystery.
I have just unplugged the usb wi fi adaptor, after 10 days of use, and activated the atheros internal laptop wireless adaptor.
(It's a reasonably specced Windows 7 HP laptop)
Outlook 2013 now sends and receives, and with a much quicker response than the with the usb.
Not much consolation for your problem, perhaps. But it may be just a case of waiting.
It's one for the networking experts, I think.
There's been problems in the past connecting to the BBC homepage, which can go on for several days then just "goes away".

ITunes Shuts Down Over Microsoft Windows Error ALL the time - Help

I've never had this problem until ITunes 7 (and I've had an Ipod for 4 years), but now 1 out of 3 times that I open ITunes, it crashes and shuts down after I get a Microsoft error message - some unexplained problem which I've let Microsoft know about through an error report several times, but they haven't done anything I'm aware of. Sometimes this happens when I've been using Itunes for a while as well - very frustrating. Had anyone else experienced this, and is there a remedy? Thanks!

[Solved] makepkg suddenly throws an error all the time

After making some tweaks to my dwm/config.h file the makepkg now no longer works and returns the error: An unknown error has occurred. Exiting...
It doesn't seem like it is the config.h file since I am unable to compile to backed up config.h file.
I have read elsewhere that the compiling is failing due to the terminal coloring, but running the makepkg with --nocolor results in the same error.
The odd thing is that things were working then suddenly stopped within the same terminal session.
Any ideas?

It looks like the PKGBUILD is making a call to "dwm" with the wrong options which is causing an error and makepkg to abort.

Getting "Could not complete your request" error all the time

Whenever I try to do anything in Fireworks CS6 (CC desktop version) I get the error message "Could not complete your request. An error occurred". The only exception is when I try to preview an image I get "Could not render the database. An error occurred"
This literally happens with any action, from opening a file to changing any attribute of an object (e.g. colour, position, size). Try to draw a new object - same error. Delete one - same error.
Weirdly it does seem to complete the action after I "Ok" the error message.
Any ideas?
I am running this on Mac OSX 10.9.1 on a pretty new MacBook Pro. I've checked for updates and I'm running the latest version. (I'm running the trial version, as I am trying to decide whether or not to switch over to CC from my desktop apps, but I would hope it is the same as the full commercial version)

For me the Fireworks stopped when it got to "Intializing Tab Windows", then a crashed and displayed "Could not complete your request. an error occurred" and would never load. Basically dead. I couldn't use it at all. My whole workfow came to a stand still.Fireworks-Error.jpg
BACKGROUND
Just before this happened, I was trying a new feature from within Dreamweaver. While inside Dreamweaver, I could double-click an image file and it opened in my Fireworks to be edited. I thought . . . Wow, this is really cool. I edited that image and closed it and continued on my work. Since then, that "Connection" between applications has become permanent. Fireworks "THINKS" it is still connected to Dreamweaver. Later Fireworks would NOT open/load at. I would always get the above error.
PARTIAL SOLUTION
BTW: I had to do this twice, because the first time, I missed a file somewhere.
I had to completely uninstall all ADOBE applications. I mean everything! I had CS3 & CS4 and Adobe Readers on my system.
Since I'm on the mac, I went through the "Application Support" both user and system and the "Preferences" for both user and system and deleted everything that had either "adobe" or "macromedia" in it. There was also a file in the "Launch Agent & Daemons".
I emptied the trash and did a power off restart. Then I reinstalled CS6. Now Fireworks at least loads and I can use it again, but it still isn't the same.
OBSERVATION
Fireworks and Dreamweaver are still "Connected". It won't save an existing PNG file as itself, it displays an error, "That file is open in another application", which is NOT true. I have to use the "Save As" option, and use the Finder to rename that file. I also notice an extra file labeled ex:0000056 which looks like the file I tried to save.
So at least I can use my Fireworks again although it is irritating. I don't know how to "CUT" the connection between applications. Uninstalling & reinstalling did NOT reset this, the only option left would be a backup, wipe and fresh install of my entire laptop. I just don't have time to do that right now. Hope that helps someone else.

Windows copied files to partition, now Disk Error all the time...

I have installed Windows XP SP2 before (using this disk) on a Mac using Boot Camp but this is refusing to read the files Windows Installer placed on the BootCamp partition, so it can't finish the installation. Merged it back, did the whole thing again for the same result.
"Disk Error
Press any key to restart"
of course pressing keys does nothing, I have to hold the power button in for 5 seconds to shut down. I can still boot up as a Mac, just the Windows side refuses to install.

Just tried for the 4th time, and I had to use the long winded FAT 32 format in the Windows Installer and success! The Quick version was what I used before I'm sure, but it didn't work tonight...
