Hello,
you need to ensure that the Unicode conversion is done during export (target code page 4102 or 4103).
This error typically occurs if the export does not include the Unicode conversion (simple system copy with Non-Unicode).

Two Errors during Unicode import into Target System
I exported our non-unicode 64-bit test NW 7.0 BW database as unicode and now I have started the import into the new unicode database on the target system. I am using the Single Code Page System Conversion to Unicode NW 7.0 SP16 and higher documentation. We are at service pack 18 with NW 7. During the Import ABAP phase the sapinst stopped with an errors. I found the following the first error in the SAP000.log - O:\usr\sap\BWP\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\R3load.exe: START OF LOG: 20090326104509

It looks like the same error but in two different logs. Has anyone seen this error before? Thanks.I checked and the datafiles for all the tablespaces are set to autoextend up to 10gb and none have done this in the tablepaces that are close to being full. I did increase three tablespaces that were showing close to being full and that did not resolve the error. Would I need to restart the process from the beginning and adjust the dbsize.xml to make it work?

Error during export & import of rules in RAR 5.2
Hi all,
We followed the steps mentioned in exporting & importing the rules as per the Config guide. But we
are receiving the below error during the import of rules. Can anybody please throw a limelight on why this error message is appearing?
"Error in Table Data ==> VIRSA_CC_CRPROF
SQL==>Insert into VIRSA_CC_CRPROF(VSYSKEY,PROFILE,RULESETID,RISKLEVEL,STATUS)Values(??????)
Record==>D VIRSA_CC_CRPROF null"
We also ensured that the downloaded file is not truncated and saved it in a separate folder. Does the file needs to saved in ANSI or Unicode text? We saved in ANSI
Also the background ground job is not getting scheduled automatically during the import of ruels. Is that due to the above error?
Thanks and Best Regards,
Srihari.KHello Sri,
background job for generating the rules won`t be scheduled before you upload the file successfully.
The most obvious reason for this error message is that you have line in your file - in table VIRSA_CC_CRPROF that is corrupted. Make sure all lines from table VIRSA_CC_CRPROF have all predefined fields - (VSYSKEY,PROFILE,RULESETID,RISKLEVEL,STATUS).
If you keep hiting this problem just delete this table, after the upload you`ll add the critical profiles manually - I bet you don`t have many of them.
Also from my experience I always choose to save the downloaded file in UNICODE UTF-8 format.
Once the file is saved in other format, there`s no use of it, download it again and save directly in Unicode.
Make sure you don`t have empty fields, even in the fields where you don`t have values, you must leave space, otherwise you`ll keep hitting the same issue.

BUG 2.1 - ARW (Sony Raw) no photos found error during Auto Import
BUG 2.1 - ARW (Sony Raw) no photos found error during Auto Import
I've seen this issue since beta1. The issue seems to be related to a camera setting that stores the files in folders by date. The Folder structure becomes drive>DCMI>10202008>image.ARW
This "no photos found error" I have seen in beta1 LR1 LR1.1 LR1.2 LR1.3 LR1.4 and LR2.0 this is still an issue in LR2.1
Auto import works fine with canon or nikon RAW files (I've used several different cameras with no problems)
The Folder structure for canon files is drive>DCMI>100>image.CR2
Auto import Does not work with Sony A100 .ARW files with folders by date turned on I have heard from people with other Sony cameras like the A700 also have this issue.

photoshop CS3I believe this is fixed in version 2.5 and 3.0
ARW (Sony Raw) files seem to work with auto import -

When I run the following command on /BIC/SZTERR_CD, I do not get any table information back. I am not sure how to fix it though.
SELECT * FROM DBA_OBJECTS WHERE OBJECT_NAME = '/BIC/SZTERR_CD ';
I did finish all the unicode preconversion steps and also ran the SMIGR_CREATE_DDL program. I had exported recently from the same system but I never got this error during that run.
Another question is about the order in which the steps need to be performed. I completed the preconversion steps, then ran the SMIGR_CREATE_DDL program before proceeding to the export phase. Is this right or does it not matter?
Thanks again for your help!Hello Stacy,
> When I run the following command on /BIC/SZTERR_CD, I do not get any table information back. I am not sure how to fix it though.
> SELECT * FROM DBA_OBJECTS WHERE OBJECT_NAME = '/BIC/SZTERR_CD ';
If the object does not exists on the source target database, please check if the ddic of sap still contains the table definition. (SE11 or SE14)
If yes you can set the status of the table /BIC/SZTERR_CD to "ok" in the corresponding task file.
You can not fix this problem in other way after you have started the conversion, because of the export files are already generated (with the information of the sap ddic)...
> I completed the preconversion steps, then ran the SMIGR_CREATE_DDL program before proceeding to the export phase. Is this right or does it not matter?
That was the right way.

Error during unicode conversion
Dear all,
we are facing one issue during unicode conversion. the code is as follows:
FIELD-SYMBOLS : <n> TYPE X,
<c> TYPE C.
DATA : a TYPE i.
DATA : x TYPE x.
MOVE <n> TO a.
a = a + 22.
MOVE a TO x.
ASSIGN x TO <c> CASTING TYPE c
and we are getting the following error:
ERROR : the length of "X" in bytes must be a multiple of the size of a Unicode character (regardless of the size of the unicode character
please guide on how this can be resolved in ECC.
Regards,
N.JainHi,
here is some code to do it:
FIELD-SYMBOLS : <n> TYPE x,
<c> TYPE c.
DATA : a TYPE i.

MOVE a TO x.
DATA:
buffer TYPE xstring,
conv TYPE REF TO cl_abap_conv_in_ce,
x_char.
buffer = x.
conv = cl_abap_conv_in_ce=>create(
encoding = 'NON-UNICODE'
input = buffer
CALL METHOD conv->read(
EXPORTING

HaleemHello,
I recently experienced this problem, and it seems that when executing this step the <sid>adm account needs to be defined to use C shell. If its already set up to use C shell, check the <sid>adm logon scripts to make sure all the environment variables are being set correctly.

Error during Unicode Conversion at DDNTF table
Hello
We are doing a Unicode Conversion for our CRT systems. This system now
is a SAP CRM 7.0 SR1 ABAP.
We have performed preparatory steps (SPUMG, checks, updating R3load,
R3ldctl, R3szchk, dboralib, ...),
but when we start Import process we get an error in SAPSDIC package.
The error looks like:
*************************+
(RTF) ########## WARNING ###########
Without ORDER BY PRIMARY KEY the exported data may be unusable
for some databases
(EXP) INFO: table DDNTF will be exported with sorting
(RSCP) ERROR: 'DDNTF' in UMGCCTL: Guess has illegal value.

/usr/sap/CRT/SYS/exe/run/R3load: END OF LOG: 20091229193651
Any idea??
Thanks in advance
RegardsYes I executed this Report using Menu Tool Bar.
The first execution gave me some errors regarding some tables existing at database level but not in DDIC. We ignored this errrors because those tables are not important.
But the last try, we decided solve this inconsistencies deleteting those tables at database level, repeting report RADUCNT (in this case no errors appeared) and repeting the export with the same error..
Now, we have seen in Tabscript STATUS of SPUMG there are some errors regarding DDNTF inconsistency found at table control. Reason 4. But this reason means that faillback codepage missing at table control for this table. But as far I know, I can't fill failbak field for this kind of table...
So know I'm reseting SPUMG, and reestarting again..
But I don't understand what is the problem
In a few minutes I will you inform about results
Meanwhile is anybody have any suggestion or idea... please let me know

Oracle GL error during journal import- ICM DOWN
Hi all,
I hit an error regarding the Concurrent Manager - Oracle GL during the journal import from GL_INTERFACE table. I've already populate the table with a set of dummy values. i've run the journal import to import the value from the table. i've clicked on correct and search for the Journal Import Data, but Oracle Application prompted me an error - FRM-40350: Query caused no record to retrieve, So i view the request, each and every of the request ID's phase is "Pending" with its status as "Stand by". I checked on the diagnostics and the error code was as following
CONC-DG-INACTIVE ICM DOWN
This request may have to wait on one or more of the following requests to complete before it can begin execution:
i have 2 doubts.firstly i was thinking could it be that i couldnt search for the Journal Import data at Journal: import - Correct was due to the Concurrent manager was down, thus prompting error FRM-40350? please advise. Secondly is that does CONC-DG-INACTIVE ICM DOWN suggest me to startup the concurrent management script? please advise
thanks in advance

Urgent: ORA-01403: no data found Error during Order Import
Hi Experts,
I 'am performing order import by populating the order interface tables and then running the order import concurrent program. I 'am encountering the following error while running the order import program:
No. of orders failed: 1
"*ora-01403: no data found in package oe_order_pvt procedure lines*"
Can anyone please provide some pointers on why this is occurring and how this can be overcome. Any pointers on this will be immensely helpful.
Thanks,
GanapathiHi Nagamohan,
Thanks for your response. I tried calling mo_global.set_policy_context('S', <org_id>) before invoking the concurrent program using fnd_request.submit_request(...); But, this still does n't seem to prevent the No data found issue.
One more thing that I noticed is, this is happening while importing the customer along with the order. I 've ensured that I use the same org_id for the customer data as well. Can you please let me know whether there is anything else that I should check for.
Thanks,
Ganapathi -
Hi there,
I need to share with you a problem which is going me crazy regarding IMPORT/EXPORT from Database clusters.
I have to backup contents from cluster PCL2 index B2 to a cluster-copy ZPCL2, same index.
So, structure are exactly equals, and I tried this:
-> get records from PCL2 by select on table-keys
<- insert fetched records into ZPCL2
No problem for that, after the select an INSERT ZPCL2 FROM TABLE <rec> works perfectly.
Now, there is the issue:
I wrote a little program which reads contents from Backup Cluster ZPCL2, using the IMPORT statement.
At import time, it abends with CX_SY_COMPRESSION_FAILED -> run-time error IMPORT_DECOMPRESSION_ERROR.
OSS Note 457835 talks about a fixed lock at read/write time of a Cluster table, but this lock still lives until the end of the session. This is not my case, I'am running two different programs and so two different sessions.
So i tried out this, in the backup program:
-> select from pcl2 -> IMPORT of data -> EXPORT of data in ZPCL2.
And the reading program now works...
Seems that the system uses a compression algorithm that is different table by table and then data compressed for table PCL2 cannot be decompressed if copied in an another table...
Anyone knows something???The behaviour you describe makes sense to me - as we know that cluster tables are different. The SAP documentation says: Besides the actual data values, the data string contains information on the structure of the data and which table it comes from.
This may be why your straightforward SELECT/INSERT failed. The structural information was inconsistent with the new table. What would be interesting, would be to see the hex of the VARDATA field for apparently identical records in each table.
