Errors generating client stubs for web services

Hello,
We are having issues trying to generate client stubs from the Unifier wsdl document (mainservice.wsdl). I see this was generated using Axis 1.4 (2006). I normally use Apache CXF but it complains due to the use of RPC/encoding. I tried Axis2 but it complains about "SchemaCompilationException: can not find type {http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/}Array from the parent schema". I am wondering if we need to use Axis 1.4?
If you have successfully generated client stubs from the wsdl documents please let me know which method was successful for you.
We have Unifier R9.12 installed.

I found more notes on what I had to do:
- the process above created package names like java.oracle_e1_bssv_jp010000
- we need to rename these to be proper package names.
- refresh the eclipse project so you see these folders
- select the package, right click, refactor, rename
- rename these to be like oracle.e1.bssv.jp010000 (remove the java. and replace _ with .)
- there will probably be a bunch of errors in individual java files you will need to fix.
- they are very easy, it should be a matter of just deleting the imports, these are not needed because they are in the same package.

I have created a simple web service in Workshop to simulate an asynchronous communication.
When I test it within workshop everything is fine but how do I generate the necessary
stubs to create a java client that will support the callback operation ? The only
doucmentation I have found suggests using <clientgen> with the "generateAsyncMethods"
attribute but <clientgen> does not support that attrbiute until version 8.1, I'm
using 7.0. Has anybody run into the same problem ?

shows how to implement a client for a web service with a callback operation ?

Building client proxies for web services with SOAP attachemtns

Hi all.
I'm currently building a series of web services that take SOAP attachments as
input, but I am unable to generate the java proxies for testing the services via
WebLogic Workshop 8.1. When I attempt to build the proxy, I get the following
error:
Warning: Failed to generate client proxy from WSDL definition for this service.
Suggestion: Please verify the <types> section of the WSDL.
Is there something I need to alter to get this to work, or does workshop not support
client proxies for web services with DataHandler parameters?

If you change this to "rpc", you'll should be able to successfully generate

client proxy jar. The soap-style property, is at the bottom of the "protocol"

Generate client stubs for EJBs? Is this correct?

Third time I write this... maybe it gets actually posted now...
I'm using Sun's appserver (edition 8) to learn EJBs. I have a small app with 2 EJBs runing on the server and I intend to test them using junit test cases running from Eclipse (as a normal java program, no client container or whatsoever). I realized that in order connect my client app to the remote homes on the server I need to have the client stubs. OK. I saw that they are actually created when I generate the deployment for a client app. So what I did is open the .jar and copy the stubs to my client app in Eclipse. It works... but I fear is NOT the way to go...
My questions:
A) How can I generate ONLY the stubs?
B) Is it necessary to deploy the EJBs on the server to generate the client stubs to access the remote interfaces?
Any answers or indications or directions to take are WELCOME :-)
C) Is what I do correct? I mean, are you guys too writing client apps that do NOT run in the client container? If so, how do you get the stubs? Maybe my approach to developing EJBs is not correct?

I would like write a simple application with eclipse as a application client. I'm reuse the rmi-iiop-simple sample of application server 8. My steps until now:
- I have execute the sample full - it works.
- I have set up a project within eclipse workspace with content of sun's sample code
- I have chamged the build.xml for reuse -> it works i can create ear and other jars
- I deploy the ear with web front end of application server -> web app works
- I start my application in eclipse debug (java-application) -> this goes wrong -> class cast exception by narrow
Because i would like use the application as application client so i have added the j2ee.jar and the appserv-ext.jar to my classpath.
At this point i think the application must be run. The appserv-ext.jar and the j2ee.jar should realize the container. But she doesn't !
Which thing is wrong in my mind?

Old version web service (v23.2) is used for stable modules in a project which is not going to modify.
However, enhancement is added in new version web service (v24) and is going to use in any future modules.
For example,
wsdl.exe -o="TestProxy.cs" -l:CS -n:Test -sharetypes https://community.workday.com/custom/developer/API/Notification/v23.2/Notification.wsdl https://community.workday.com/custom/developer/API/Notification/v24.0/Notification.wsdl
It generates similar classes with an '1' added at the end of the class name.

Since the function inside some class is the same, is it possible for WSDL.exe to generate proxy classes automatically that if the class is the same, then generate one class only (sameFunction()) but if it detects the class is different, then add '1'

As per this case, I have shared corresponding details below :
1.As far as I know, WCF doesn’t support method overloading directly
2.Because WSDL doesn’t support method overloading (not OOPs).
3.WCF generates WSDL which specifies the location of the service and the operation or methods the service exposes.
4.WCF use Document/Literal WSDL Style : Microsoft proposed this standard where the soap body element will contain the web method name.
5.By default all the WCF services conform to the document literal standard where the soap body should include the method name.
6.but you can differ the method in the same manually by using Name attribute like below
For example:
    [OperationContract(Name="Integers")]

    [OperationContract(Name="Doubles")]
double Display(double a,double b)
7. Or I suggest you that can use svcutil to map multiple namespaces for generating wcf service proxies .

I'm happy to say that everything seems to work well under WebLogic 10.3.5.
I used weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.ClientGenTask with ant

I also tried Metro, but it uses wsimport, so also does not have a stub.
I'm out of ideas. Any pointers or advice are greatly appreciated.

My guess would be that the server's certificate isn't in your client's trust-store (which defaults to "cacerts"). Chances are your senior architect has already imported the server-cert on his machine and forgotten he did so.

I'm completely new to Web Services and I need to build client applications for some existing web services and I have some questions:
1) I have heard that things called "toolkits" are what I need to create and run client applications for web services. Is this correct?
2) Can anyone tell me some of the more common and reliable toolkits?

Could not generate stub objects for web service invocation in ColdFusion

I was able to call the services on the development box - windows server without any problem at all, everything was working fine but the moment i uploaded to a linux box production server I get this error. "Could not generate stub objects for web service invocation in ColdFusion"
What could be the cause of this problem, i have googled a lot but no solution yet any ideas.

Let me make it simple:
1. Server A is our development server.- hosted inhouse with coldfusion installed.
2. Server B is our production server - a linux server with coldfusion installed hosted on the internet
3. Server C is a third party server containing the webservice - this is a windows server with .net
coldfusion is installed on Server A, the code works here and can connect to server C without any problem. It gets the required respone
but when the code was uploaded to server c it gives the error when we run it.
now i tried just a simple code which works fine on server A below:

Now if you try the preceeding code on a windows environment it works fine but the moment you put in the in the linux environment it generates this error

HTTP Analyzer help for web service client in 11g

I am using jDev 11.1.1.3.0 to build a web service client (proxy) to a potential vendor's web service. I've used the Http Analyzer before but I'm having trouble configuring it for a WS proxy. I just want to see the SOAP stream between my client and the web service. I used the Web Service Proxy wizard to create the Java code, but the web service provider has kept some of the contract in the WSDL private so that I had to manually generate the meat and potatoes of the Java code. I need to be able to see the SOAP my Java code is sending.
I have tried to configure the Http Analyzer to listen on it's own localhost and port with a forward rule to forward the request to the real WS, but I cannot figure out how to get the client to send it's requests to localhost instead of the actual WS.
Actually, I did figure it out, but then the request fails as it apparently tries to connect to the real WSDL before actually sending the request and cannot find a WSDL at the localhost URL. Here's the error:

I have also tried to configure the Http Analyzer to somehow 'sniff' the actual URL by listening on the actual URL and port, but either I cannot get the Analyzer to see the request or it fails because the Analyzer is using the same port the request is trying to use.
Can someone explain how to configure the Http Analyzer to see the SOAP stream for a Web Client Proxy?

Hi, I'm just using the default setup for HTTP Analyzer and having no problem using it.
Just make sure to run the HTTP Analyzer first before running or starting your app server (Integrated weblogic Server).

Invalid Content Type Error for Web Service

Hi Experts,
We have a XI / PI Web Service, and have created an Adaptive Web Service Model for the same. For using this web service model, we have created a HTTP destination of type WSDL.
This configuration works great in our development and consolidation server.
While working with our production server, with all the settings same as consolidation server, the following error is generated for Web Service call. using the AWS model
java.io.IOException: Invalid content type while requesting http://<host>:<port>/webdynpro/resources/<application_package>/guicall.wsdl. Expected Content-type: text/xml, received Content-type: content/unknown, used user to connect: null
The HTTP destination address is the one specified in bold above.
Also, in later part of the stack trace we are bale to see this error:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.exception.WSModelRuntimeException: Exception on creation of service metadata for WS metadata destination
Please guide us on this issue.

I mean what was the URL specified, did you specify XI SYSTEM userid password ???
How was the webservice published to inspection.wsil in XI system ??

WSDL error during generation of ABAP proxy for web service

Hi friends,
I am getting error during the generation of ABAP proxy object for web service developed in .NET .
Error : Proxy generation terminated: WSDL error (<extension> not supported).
How to make this WSDL file compatible for ABAP proxy.
I have tried to edit WSDL file in XML Spy but did not get any option to replace/remove the tag <extention>.
If any one worked on this. Please help me its urgent.

Modifying properties with a file for Web Service Stub used for Oracle Forms

I have created a stubbed-out web service in JDeveloper (10.1.3.4) and imported into Oracle Forms.
However, I would like to use a properties file to call the appropriate endpoint based on if the environment is dev, test, UAT or prod. I see that a properties file is referenced in the _Stub class. Here is a snippet of code from that class file:

I got the following two lines of code just to check if WebServiceConnection was able to read the connections file alright.

I am not using urlString for further processing.
The output is

I want to ask a question about my j2me web service project.
Wireless Toolkit 2.5,
Tomcat 5.0 for Java WSDP,
Java Web Services Developer Pack 1.5,
jdk1.5.0_06 are installed and environment variables are adjusted...
When i want to generate client stubs after i deploy the project via ant, i get this error:
error : com.sun.tools.javac.Main is not available in the classpath..
error: compilation failed, errors should have been reported
How to solve this problem, please help...

I found more notes on what I had to do:
- the process above created package names like java.oracle_e1_bssv_jp010000
- we need to rename these to be proper package names.
- refresh the eclipse project so you see these folders
- select the package, right click, refactor, rename
- rename these to be like oracle.e1.bssv.jp010000 (remove the java. and replace _ with .)
- there will probably be a bunch of errors in individual java files you will need to fix.
- they are very easy, it should be a matter of just deleting the imports, these are not needed because they are in the same package.
