Errors in CCDB Stores - Extractor CONFIGURATION (OS COMMAND) failed

Hi Everyone,
We have Solution Manager 7.1 system on our customer landscape. Technical Monitoring scenario is configured on it. As I check the alert inbox on a regular basis, I find the below error quite frequently:
Errors in CCDB Stores - Extractor CONFIGURATION (OS COMMAND) failed with below error log:
"Exception while retrieving E2EStore - Failed to open HW file."
Can anyone let me know why is this error getting generated and how this can be resolved permanently.
Thanks.
Regards,
Nidhi

Hi Nidhi,
Can you try restarting the  SAPHOSTAGENT  saphostexec -restart
Check its status saphostexec -status
Check its version saphostexec -version
You should have the latest version applied if possible.
The main fix is in saphostagent package, however also disp+work
processes use the access to saposcol and should be
updated as well via the kernel update.
Kind regards,
Roland

  • NFS Sharing Tab is not found..NFS sharing provisioning fails with error....NFS sharing using command fails in windows 2008 r2

    Hi All,
         Operating System: Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1
H/w:  VMware virtual machine vmx 09
Installed: File server role with "Services for network file system"
Server for NFS and Client for NFS services and up and running.
But when I try to create an NFS share using the folder properties the NFS Sharing tab is missing.
I tried to provision an NFS share using server manager "New NFS share folder cannot be created"
Noticed Event ID 1015 from NFSserver " Server for NFS was unable to validate licensing information at this time, the server will be nonfunctional until this information can be validated"
Tried to create the NFS share using command line but that too failed.
Request all to kindly assist me in isolating and fixing this issue.
    Thank you so much

NFS server is so weak (especially for 2008 R2) and keeping in mind you run that all hosted by VMware ESXi the best thing you can do is to get rid of using Windows as a NFS server completely and spawn a FreeBSD or Linux VM with a decent and recent version
    of Samba.

  • Getting past "Fetch VLAN configuration - Command failed" errors in Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.0 - How?

I've got a handful of devices in Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.0 which show up in the "Archive Failed Devices" view.  The "Failure Reason" is some variation of "Fetch VLAN configuration - Command failed" sometimes including "TELNET: Failed to establish TELNET connection to x.x.x.x".  What does this mean?  How do I overcome this?  In all cases, the device is configured to use SSH and has valid SSH credentials.  In all cases, I can SSH from the command line of the NCS appliance to the devices listed in the "Archive Failed Devices" view.

    Hi
I was able to fix the "Fetch VLAN configuration - Command failed" by allowing tftp from the device to PI server in firewall. See if this can help.

  • ERROR: Cannot start mail services, configuration directory does not exist

I'm running an Xserve G5 with one internal boot drive and one RAID using the other two internal drives. I used Apple's Disk Utility to set-up the RAID.
Back in early December, I moved my mail database and mail store to the RAID. Ever since, when I restart the server, the mailaccess.log generates the following error:
Jan 23 18:51:33 mail master[47]: ERROR: Cannot start mail services, configuration directory does not exist: /Volumes/RAID/mail.data/db
I'm speculating this is a timing error that gets created when Postfix initially can't find the RAID. Then, it must try again and find it because the error message does not repeat and mail starts running.
Is this something to worry about?

    Hi Joel,
You're right, it's a timing issues. The mail system is ready for work before the file system is mounted. It's benign.

  • Error when using 'service in0/0 session' command.

    Good morning everyone,
I'm having difficulties with one of my companies UC500 systems. It has been sitting for a number of months with no use, and we're putting it back in to production. When I attempt to take it offline to backup it's old config, I get a kernel panic (the full error is attached below). I can stop the panic and get it back to a working state. But in the course of doing that, the system won't save any config changes I have made. Are the hda1 errors on the bottom of the message anything to do with the CF cards? Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    Stephen.

    Stephen,
The errors look to indicate that the information stored on the CFcard is corrupt. You'll need to re-install CUE through the boot loader. If that fails, then an RMA of the CF card may be necessary.

    PS:
I need the LDAP server for playing with a JAAS LDAP login module and something minimal would be enough. Is there something easier to install than OpenLDAP?

I fail to understand why you're taking all this trouble. Both the Berkeley DB as OpenLDAP are both shipped with Solaris 10/x86 natively. Look into the so called companion cd / dvd. That makes setting all of this up a piece of cake.
Another option could be looking into Blastwave or Sun Freeware.

  • Windows server 2012 failover cluster error: Cluster resource 'Virtual Machine Configuration ... of type 'Virtual machine configuration in clustered role ... failed.

I have two windows 2012 host server that are clustered using windows failover cluster feature. Each server is hosting four VMs. When migrating from Host2 to Host1, the migration failed with the following error:
Cluster resource 'Virtual Machine Configuration SCPCSQLSRV01' of type 'Virtual Machine Configuration' in clustered role 'SCPCSQLSRV01' failed. The error code was '0x569' ('Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.').

Any suggestion on resolving this problem?

Thanks. The article referred to above gives the solution to my issue. There is a group policy that is applied to the OU where the host servers were placed. Doing gpupdate /force temporarily removes the problem. Unfortunately the NT Virtual Machine\Virtual
Machines account is a special account that cannot be added like other accounts and granted the log on as a service right. The thread
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverhyperv/thread/d56f2eae-726e-409a-8813-670a406593e8 contains how it can be added which is by creating a group and running the command
Net localgroup VMTest “NT Virtual Machine\Virtual Machines” /add
to add it to a local group VMTest. VMTest is then assigned the right to log on as a service.

  • "An error occurred while updating the configuration"

I recieved an Apple Airport Base Station in the mail today. I got it second hand, and I performed a hard-reset since I didn't have the password and stuff. I wanted to update it properly before I started using it.
I have followed the guides in here point by point, but all I get when I am trying to connect with the AirPort Admin Utility is the error in the topic: "An error occurred while updating configuration".
I've been surfing and googling for hours now, and can't seem to find the solution to this.
The Base Station has a model no. M8440, and that's all I know about it. First I thought it was the Snow, then the Graphite and now I don't know. The reason I get confused is because I've read about all these different colored lights.
Here's a description of my Base Station - in case someone recognized it, and can help me identify it:
    - It's one of those "UFO's"
    - It's all white, with a silver Apple-logo
    - It's got three ports: Modem, WAN and LAN
    - It's got three lights - ALL WHITE all the time.
I've tried to download firmware - the last I tried was called AirPortFW4.0.9.img - but when I try to run it by clicking it I get the error "The destination folder "AirPort whatever firmware whatever" is on a locked volume.
My computer is a 2,0 HGz MacBook Pro, and int the AirPort Admin Utility the Base Station is said to be V4.0 dev with IP 192.42.249.13 - so it seems to be hard-resat all right...
    Please folks...help me out!

I've also encountered the same problem with an older dual ethernet airport.
I first started having problems with the original one about 8 months ago, and after spending a ridiculous three hours on the phone with AppleCare they sent me out a refurbished replacement. That one worked fine for about 5 months, but then started dropping the signal again, before becoming "unfindable". I went through the same processes, (soft reset, then hard reset etc.) which sometimes solved the problem. I eventually I took it to an Apple Store and of course, it worked fine once I got there. Strange thing is, I took it home and it continued working without incident...for a month. When it happened again, I decided to forgo all the the diagnostic work and just take it back to the store. Sure enough, it fixed itself again, then broke again a few weeks later (now).
Unfortunately, I just had knee surgery and can't get down there now, (which was getting ridiculous anyway), so I went through everything again for the first time on the MBP. I ended up getting the "An error occurred while updating the configuration" message, and after reading this thread started up the old TiBook. The reconfig worked on there, but it still isn't visible on either computer. In fact, it then becomes inaccesible even through LAN on the TiBook through either the AirPort Admin or the dropdown, though it did appear on the MBP via AirPort Admin. However, it says the software on the airport cannot be uploaded or changed due to out of date software on my computer, and suggests I go to apple.com/support to update my computer's software, which is already current. It does however say that I may be able to change the settings and so forth, which I was able to do. Unfortunately, it still does not show up anywhere else on either computer, no matter how much I tinker with the settings.
Any ideas? I suppose I'll just stick with built-in ethernet till I am mobile again.

  • Migration on active directory from 2003 to 2008 and SharePoint error Cannot connect to the configuration database.

    Hi all,
In advance i`m thankful for your help,
I come across a problem while migrating the Active Directory from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 R2,
SharePoint 2010 is getting this error Cannot connect to the configuration database. The same goes for the Administrative page,
Nothing is change in the MySql database, same log in, same server name, i guess it have something to do with the SharePoint Farm,
My question is will reinstalling the SharePoint do the job? Or is there an easy way to get back on my old track?
I`ve try to sync users... no good
    PS C:\Users\administrator.SERVERM> if($configManager.IsSynchronizationRunning()
    -eq $false)
    >> {
    >> $configManager.StartSynchronization($true)
    >> Write-Host "Started Synchronizing"
    >> }
    >> else
    >> {
    >> Write-Host "Already Synchronizing"
    >> }
    >>
Can someone explain a little bit more about this:
    6.
Can they talk to each other?
Verify that SharePoint is using the correct IP address for the SQL server. To do this, run the ping command on the Windows SharePoint Services server.
Verify that the SharePoint server is obtaining the correct IP address for the SQL server from DNS. To do this, run the
nslookup command from the SharePoint Server.
Make sure that there are no incorrect entries for the SQL server. To do this, examine the Hosts file on the SharePoint server. This file is in the following location:
    %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\Hosts
On the SharePoint server, look for SQL client aliases. To do this, follow these steps: Click
Start, click Run, and then type cliconfg in the
    open box.
Click the Alias tab. By default, there are no SQL client aliases. If you have any aliases for the SQL server, verify that they are correct, or remove them.
Open the SQL Server Configuration Manager (Start SQL Server 2008  Configuration Tools  SQL Server Configuration Manager
Navigate to the SQL Server Network Configuration  Protocols for MSSQLSERVER node in the tree view
Enable TCP/IP and Named Pipes (you’ll be warned that these changes will not apply until the service is shut down)

    Hiya,
I don't think it is necessary to reinstall.
You should just confirm that your basic infrastructure is working.
1: On the SharePoint server, open cmd and write ping <SQL server name>
2: On the SharePoint server, open cmd and write nslookup <SQL server name>
Basically the steps outlined here, is the best way to start:
    6.
Can they talk to each other?
Verify that SharePoint is using the correct IP address for the SQL server. To do this, run the ping command on the Windows SharePoint Services server.

  • Where should i store application configurations?

    Hello all,
i have a little problem. I read a lot of posts in this forum with the same problem, but no anser was satisfiable for me. Where should i store application configurations? For example, where can i store error descriptions (text) for errors with a special id. There is no way to do it in the webconatiner, because the ejb's should log their errors. File I/O operations are forbidden by the specification, so the use of ResourceBundles with propertie files should be forbidden, too, isn't it? Is there another way than storing the error description in a database?
I hope you can unstand my question and someone have a solution for my problem.
    thanks & regards
    Ren G.

You can use an entity bean with your configuration.
