Errors in random frames of JPEG sequence

I'm experimenting with the time lapse technique for school Photography class, using Ae CC on Windows 8.1 to string the 120 JPEGS together to create a 4 second experiment of light trails of cars.
However in these 120 frames, there are two that come up in Ae and the render as SMPTE bars. I have no idea how to overcome this other than painstakingly finding the right frame number and manually importing the jpeg.
The pics were originally CR2's, I converted them to jpegs after I had the same issues with the Raw files.
The only thing I could think of is that when taking the pictures, I took the specific ones that are failing in Ae too fast after my previous one and my camera couldn't process them properly (as its old and slow)- however Windows Explorer and Lightroom 5 see them perfectly fine...
Heres the video on you tube, rendered really low quality for size
YouTube

So I found the missing frame in Ae _MG_7732.CR2 and when I went to find it in Exporer, it wasnt there, so I dont know where it went, and how AE thinks its threre, I think the two frames were pictures I took in camera, deleted hence missing out in the sequence, as the pictures go from _MG_7731.CR2 to _MG_7733.CR2, meaning that AE is just confused about where the pictures have gone (as all the pics are in alphabetical order)
Ill try renaming all the pics in Lightroom so all the pics are in sync

  • Random frames in sequence after render, Premiere Pro Cs6

I've had this problem a few times before, but I'm going to finally open up about it since this is happening beyond my personal projects and is effecting my corporate work.
After I do a render of my entire sequence I end up with a frame of a title I created at the start, in all my cross dissolves.
Here's a video of the problem. I've read of someone having the same problem in the past, but I can't recall how they solved it.
I really don't understand what the problem is, and it's effecting my work. I've tried clearing my cache, re-rendering, clearing render files, and re-rendering, and all the procedural stuff.

That worked in removing the opaque title in this specific situation. I'll keep it in mind for the next time I need a solid background color. Thank you.
But how would you go about trying to resolve a random frame in the middle of a clip? The frame is of a shot earlier in the sequence, and it has no reason to randomly appear in the middle of a rendered clip. No transitions, just hard cut and placed together clips.
I'd post screenshots of that situation, but I had already tore apart the sequence and re-rendered it to make it work.
For whatever reason, out of the blue, when I render footage a random frame from the sequence will occasionally embed itself in the video preview files that were just rendered in the sequence.
As for this project. I exported this corporate shoot, and the slightly opaque titles weren't in the cross dissolves, thankfully. The client was happy, but I was still confused as to why my rendered video previews would contain random frames of the sequence. For just a frame.

  • FCP adding random frames to my exports

    so here's my problem
i exported my sequence using "export with current settings"
but when i do i look at the export and there are suddenly random frames thrown into the cut
i thought, 'man i must have not watched the cut before i exported'
so i went back and looked at it, it looked fine, those frames are NOT in my sequence
to absolutly make sure i went to the same part in the sequence where the added frame was on my export and went frame by frame to make sure
there aren't any random frames in the sequence only the export
i have tried exporting through QT conversion too and it still added those random frames
why can't i export without those frames?
    i'm working in FCP 6.0

alright what the heck is going on???
i'm really starting to hate FCP 6 !!!!!!!
so i opened my original scratch media in QT and exported then deleted the old file that was giving me trouble
then when i open my project, fcp is asking me to reconnect
so i choose the new file and it won't let me connect!!!!!!!!

  • Jpeg sequence trouble shoot, one frame altered

I am trying to create stop motion animation in After Effects CS6. I batch processed all of my photos in Photoshop and I am using RGB color space. One frame in my stop motion is altered when I import the jpeg sequence into After Effects. This frame appears to be an inch or two higher than all other images in my compositon panel and a white band is now at the bottom. It appears as if the entire picture is shifted upwards.
I reimported everything and the problem persists. This frame appears to be the correct dimensions, etc after it has been batch processed and before I import into After Effects.
Please assist! I appreciate any suggestions you may have to offer.

The frame shows up in its entirety in other image viewers. Do you have any further suggestions regarding what to specifically look for in metadata or color profile issues? The workspace is RGB and I am not sure what else to check for....
Thank you for all of your help!

  • How to import JPEG sequence into Photoshop CS5.1 - Windows 7 64x?

    Specs:
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64x
    Adobe Photoshop CS5.1
I have been doing animated banners by using Ae and exporting my animation as JPEG sequences in order to import it to Photoshop and export it as GIF. However, I just upgraded to CS5.5 and I cannot find the "image sequence" checkbox when opening a file.
I would normally see this check box when going to File > Open .. select one file and the open window would have this check box at the botton, which I no longer see.
I could import all my (130) JPEG sequence images and then use the animation window but that would be soooo stressing and tedious.
Any help will be appreciate it!

If you have a series of jpeg images use menu File>Scripts>Load Files into Stack. This will load all the jpeg image files into a single document as layers.  Use the Animation Palette fly-out memu and click on make frams from layers.

  • Exported Flash JPEG sequence out of sync in Premiere Pro

    What I have:
CS6 version of Flash Pro and Premiere Pro.
Uncompressed audio in .wav format at 44100hz
    What I am doing:
Importing the .wav file to stage in flash pro.
Creating animations based on the audio at 24fps
Exporting the animation as JPEG sequence.
Importing the JPEG sequence to Premiere Pro.
Importing the .wav file to library in Premiere Pro.
Exporting the the animation with audio as .mp4
    Result:
    Audio out of sync.
NOTE: This problem can also be seen when importing the JPEG sequence and audio in Premiere Pro.

Here's what I've discovered while working with JPEG sequences and audio files:
Since you are dealing with individual still frames within the JPEG sequence, it will always import at a full 30fps, rather than 29.97 or 23.976 (depending on the project). The audio file, most likely, will show up as either 29.97 or 23.976. Let's say, for this example, we are working in a 29.97 project. If you pair the JPEG sequence with your audio, you will have a .03 frame difference, per second (30fps vs. 29.97fps).
You will need to conform the JPEG sequence to match the frame rate of your audio. In After Effects, while the JPEG sequence is still in the Project Panel, right click and then select "Interpret Footage." Select "Main." In this dialog box, change the frame rate from 30 to 29.97 (or 23.976). Choose either Drop Frame or Non-Drop, depending on your project.
After clicking "OK," you can take that JPEG sequence and drop it into a composition with your audio. You should be good to go.

  • Jpeg sequence issues

I'm creating a microsite and want to achieve the same effect that is in the Adidas Nitrocharge (www.nitrochargeyourgame.com) microsite. The one effect in particular is when you click on "The Boot' and the guy walks up and then you can control the movement by clicking and dragging on the custom scrollbar. I am using a jpeg sequence in Edge and it has been glitchy. Is there any better way to achive this look? And how to you make a custom scrollbar? Help!

    Hi there Liz,
Here are a few examples of how to make custom scrollbars:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5455360#5455360
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5033886
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1144336?start=0&tstart=0
What do you mean the jpeg sequence is glitchy? Is it not playing smoothly? You may want to increase the frequency (effectively frame rate), of your sequence. Also, if the images are very large, there may be processor lag in turning images on/off.

  • Media Encoder CC won't import a JPEG sequence to the queue

I am running Media Encoder CC 7.2.2.29 (64-bit) on OSX 10.9.4.
I have a JPEG sequence GoPro timelapse image sequence that I want to encode into a video clip. All files have a .jpg extension. They are 4000x3000 and have an RGB color space. The Color profile is SRGB IEC61966-21. All images are 3.9MB.
According to the ME help I should do the following.
To add an image sequence, choose File > Add Source. In the Open dialog box, choose the first file of the image sequence. Enable the  Sequence Import checkbox for your file type, and then click the Open button.
I follow the instructions and select the first image in the sequence. The "JPEG File Sequence" checkbox is active and I check it and click the Open button. The dialog disappears and nothing happens. There are no warnings.
How does one get JPEG sequences to import to the queue?
    Please advise.
    -Travis

Yes, import into premiere work fine. The nice part about using AME directly is you don't have to have to create a project or use an old one every time you want to crunch a timelapse. Also, AME has this nice feature where it will autoname the output file IMG[FirstStill]-[LastStill] (ie IMG[GP001234-GP001297]). This was helpful because GoPros change the first number in the sequence every time you stop and start time lapse.

  • Failed to run task sequence. Error occurred while starting the task sequence (0x8007000E)

    Hi there
Patch Tuesday yesterday (10th June2014). As always we deploy new patches first to a test collection where Windows 7 updates automatically apply.
Upon trying to rebuild any of the machines in this test collection, we were presented with the following error message:
Failed to run task sequence.  Error occurred while starting the task sequence (0x8007000E)
After searching about this, I found this page from Niall Brady, which explained the problem:
    http://www.niallbrady.com/2013/05/17/after-selecting-a-task-sequence-in-configuration-manager-2012-sp1-you-receive-threadtoresolveandexecutetasksequence-failed-code0x8007000e-in-smsts-log/
So I removed some of the machines from the test Windows update collection, and as per the advice in the above link, the error was gone and those machines could be built successfully.
So the problem is there were too many many policies downloaded (apps, packages and most of all updates) for the task sequence ram to store, hence the error.
    Now...
    ...I have a question.
The next logical step to my mind is to patch our OS image with all missing patches, so these do not have to be downloaded at build time. Niall mentions this as one of the resolutions to this issue.
However there seems to be some confusion over whether this would actually make a difference.
    I read through this link:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/7e597b44-2586-4063-b6d0-cec48a7c11c7/sccm-2012-task-sequence-failure-0x8007000e?forum=configmanagerosd
There's seems to be no consensus on this.
Is SCCM 2012 clever enough to - when the task sequence is first started - to download ONLY the updates (policies) it detects as NOT present in the OS image...
    or
Will it simply try to download policies for ALL items deployed to it, whether the updates are present in the OS image or not?
I will be disappointed if SCCM 2012 SP1 CU2 isn't clever enough to only download policies at build time for the apps, packages and updates it detects as needed.
I'd be grateful for some clarity on this.
    Regards,
    John, Glasgow.

    Hi Jason
Thank you for replying, I appreciate it.
    1) We currently have 15 or 16 software update groups for Office updates, dating back a month or two. The latest software update group contains all the patches in the previous software update groups plus the patches released on 10th June. Do you recommend
deleting all but the latest software update group?
    2) I'm almost reluctant to ask this, but based on what you have advised, is it the case that when the task sequence executes, it will download policies for each update in each software update group regardless of whether it has already downloaded a policy
for an update in a previous software update group? So in effect it's downloading policies (for updates) it has already downloaded?
    3) I'm not clear on why there would be no policy for an image; in Niall Brady's informative page on the 8007000E error, he writes the following:
"The reason it has run of space could be due to four possibilites: too many applications, too many Windows updates, too many Task Sequence steps, too many referenced packages'.
Can you shed some light on why there isn't a policy for an image?
    Thanks again for replying,
    John.

  • Error Loading a VI of a sequence in operator interface (Error Code -18002)

I am deploying a teststand sequence using LabVIEW adapter. After deploying, while running this sequence in operator interface in the deployment computer, I get an error saying that a particular step could not be loaded. This step calls a DIO initialization VI which basically uses DIO Port Config.vi from Traditional DAQ 7.4.4 version. Please see the attached image.
Software Versions Used: Teststand 4.0.1f1, LabVIEW 8.5, Traditional DAQ 7.4.4, Simple OI shipped with Teststand, windows XP
From couple of links from www.ni.com, I did following actions in my development computer:
    1. Compile All the VI in LV 8.5 using Mass Compile including Traditional DAQ LLBs, simple operator interface etc.
    2. Check if any VI or step is not broken.
After getting the error, I tried opening the same sequence in sequence editor in deployment computer (I am also including sequence editor with the deployment utility), I checked DIO Initialization step. I see the warning in step indicating that the VI is either broken or one of its sub is not located. I tried using Reload VI Prototype, it asks for LVDAQ.dll which is also bundled in my deployment files. After specifying this dll, I can run this sequence without errors but after I exit from sequence editor, it does not save the changes and I get the same error in Operator interface as well in sequence editor after re launching. Also I dont want to reload VI prototype as I dont expect some to do this change after deploying the testsequence.
    Kindly help.
    Thanks in advance.

I found solution for this. While creating the workspace for my sequence and other files, I used to include all the files including the LabVIEW VIs. Doing this, DIO Config VI seemed getting confused while searching for LVDAQ.DLL in the deployment computer.
I tried only including the test sequence and letting the teststand deployment utility select the VIs from the specified directory resolved this issue. I observed that in this case, all the sub vi and the support dlls gets placed in the support and data folder respectively. This resolved the issue.

  • GPU Acceleration causes random frame in encode?

New Mac Pro (6 core, d500 cards, 32GB RAM, OSX10.9.4). Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014.0.1. Tested on two separate machines of the same configuration.
I have a just over 2 hour long 1080p ProRes file that I was encoding to MPEG2 for DVD. During QC of the disc, a random frame from another part of the movie was found in a spot about 39 minutes into the encode. The issue was in the encoded MPEG2 stream.
The client also wanted a lower resolution h264 proof of the video, and that was encoded on the same machine at a separate time. That had the same random frame at the exact same spot.
I encoded the preview h264 in just a few minute segment of the video around the glitch on the second Mac Pro. It showed up again. I used the same setting but turned off GPU Acceleration, and the frame is gone.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on here? Obviously there is a problem with GPU acceleration on the new Mac Pro's with Media Encoder, but what could be specifically causing it and what could be done to fix this? With all of the issues in Premiere and After Effects, some of which are being caused by software updates, and the issues with the one Mac Pro needing to be replaced due to bad video cards, I feel like there is just a ton of problems that didn't exist on our outdated Mac Pro with Final Cut Pro 7.
Please let me know of any ideas to make me not doubt every encode I do on these machines with GPU Acceleration turned on. Thanks.
    -Phil

Does anyone have any additional ideas on this? I heard from the CreativeCow forums that this has been a known bug with GPU Acceleration on the new Mac Pros. Is this the case? Has anyone else had this issue looked at by Adobe?

  • How to generate pseudo random noise(PRN) binary sequence using shift registers?

what is the block diagram to generate pseudo random noise (PRN) binary sequence of 1's and 0's using shift registers
    please help
i need 2 submit this project in this week

This is a fairly simple homework problem. My hints (on the LabVIEW side):
    1- look at while loops
2- look at shift registers on while loops with multiple input elements
3-look at the logic components, AND, OR XOR
Look at this wiki article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linear_feedback_shift_register
Do the work, you won't learn if someone shows you how it is done! The palette that the previous post points to are of PRN and other "noise generators" but I suspect that is not what you are after.
Know that creating a PRN with a reasonable number of shift register taps produces very pseudo results, as the "random" pattern begins to repeat pretty quickly, thereby making it not a truly random number.
When you have an attempt that is sort of working and want additional suggestions, post the code here. We won't do your work, we will help you try to do it, and learn it, yourself.

  • Error ORA-01002: fetch out of sequence

    Hi all,
I created 3 cursors. The scenario is like following :
    Begin Cur A
Begin FOR xx IN Cur B LOOP
Begin FOR xx IN Cur C LOOP
    End LOOP Cur C;
    commit;
    End LOOP Cur B;
    End Cur A;
When i run the program its display error ORA-01002: fetch out of sequence.
The objective of my program is to insert into table and commit every transaction.
Kindly share info with me why this error happened.
    TQ.
    tim

    Tim,
    Refer to the following:
    ORA-01002: fetch out of sequence
Cause: This error means that a fetch has been attempted from a cursor which is no longer valid.
Note that a PL/SQL cursor loop implicitly does fetches, and thus may also cause this error. There are a number of possible causes for this error, including:
    1) Fetching from a cursor after the last row has been retrieved and the ORA-1403 error returned.
    2) If the cursor has been opened with the FOR UPDATE clause, fetching after a COMMIT has been issued will return the error.
    3) Rebinding any placeholders in the SQL statement, then issuing a fetch before reexecuting the statement.
    Action:
    1) Do not issue a fetch statement after the last row has been retrieved - there are no more rows to fetch.
    2) Do not issue a COMMIT inside a fetch loop for a cursor that has been opened FOR UPDATE.
    3) Reexecute the statement after rebinding, then attempt to fetch again.
