Errors transcoding

i have nothing else in the project, just a 2 second test clip and a timeline. it's a photo jpg codec 1080i file. when i right click and go transcode now, i get these two errors
adobe encore has encountered an error
[[..\..\src\time.cpp-105]
and then
an input contract violation has occured
does anyone know how to fix this? this is driving me nuts

I've decided to reinstall XP an start over again - but stop me if anyone has a fix.
I've tried a few combinations of projects and files but get the same error.
These are files I have used before (standard NTSC DV AVI files from Premiere Pro CS3).
I have tried 4:3 and 16:9 files and short one and long ones. I've created new Encore projects and tried to reencode existing ones.

  • Why do I get an error message saying unable to use disk when creating a DVD

I have successfully burned two DVD's of a group of three I am burning of my last vacation pictures. I have successfully created WMV files for each day of the trip which I have combined to create the three DVD's so they won't be too lengthy. I created a menu with main menu and stop menu markers. When I went to burn the third disk, which is the shortest of the group the program would encode to the 96% and then the disk would eject and it would give an errow message saying the disk was not compatable. This was the same type of DVD-RW disks I used on the two successful disks. I tried redoing the burn 3  times with each time getting to 96% on the encription and then the same error message occurred. I used fresh disks each time. On the forth try I cut the number of WMV files down to 3 to make the DVD half as long. The same thing happened at the 96th% spot of the encription process. Nothing had ever been put on the disks. I am using top quality Memorex DVD-RW disks. Please let me know what else I can do. I am very frustrated. Oh yes, I closed the program down each time I got the error and also shut down and restarted the computer afer each error. I really want to finish this project as I have been working on it now for two weeks non stop. Thank you.

Good, that gets one possibility out of the way.
Since the error about the disc indicates that the Transcoding has already finished, I think that we can probably rule out the next step, but let's look anyway.
Now, for Transcoding to DVD, PrE uses 2-pass Encoding, so it would seem that this problem is comng right at the end of the second pass, at the end of the Timeline. Look very closely at that point, and see if there is anything odd there. Things like gaps in the Video of a Timeline, or sometimes Assets that are not proper, can cause Transcoding to stop. Anything there? [I think that with a disc error, Transcoding HAS completed, and the progress bar is just lagging slightly behind, but more questions are probably needed.]
Last, what brand of blank media are you using? The reason that I ask this is that some companies, like Memorex, buy the cheapest disc that day, and rebrand them, so in a spindle of 25, you might end up with blank discs by different mfgrs., and some can be much better, than others.
    Good luck,

  • Injest Problem: requested edits don't work, entire clip is injested

When I set in and out markers on the injest screen, everything appears to be working normally--the yellow marker below the thumbnail shows the proper in/out points.  Unfortunately, when I actually injest the clip into prelude, the entire clip is injested--not just the edited part.  This happens whether the destination is internal to prelude or an external clip folder. What am I doing wrong?

    Didn't work.
First of all, my original footage is MTS.  There is no transcode to have it
go back into MTS.  So I chose AVI (uncompressed) and got this error
"Transcode preset of the destination c:\xyz is empty. Please select a
preset for it or disable its transcode."  So I chose MPEG2, and it
    transposed but without the audio.
I'm thinking now that Prelude is a "nice idea" but not ready for primetime.
Maybe it worked on the nice computers at Adobe, but won't work in the field
    as it's currently configured.
Bottom line: if I have to go through this much hassle, I might as well load
my clips straight into Premiere and do everything there.

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 - Transcoding Error???

Hello, I'm having this problem with Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0... Every time I try to burn this movie to a DVD (1x JPG 1607x886, 7x VOB Video Files - 6 are about 50 mins long and one is 5 mins), I have also made a menu for it. But when it gets to 15.63% on the second encoding I think, I get this 'Transcoding Error'? What does it mean and what do I do to fix it? Any help would be very much appreciated... I uploaded a picture of the problem here:
    http://www.fotothing.com/photos/335/3353d27d34c7b04db3f64a7c1525810f.jpg?ts=1228215011
Thanks for any help you might give :)

You may have to remux the VOBs using VideoRedo Plus. Remuxing is relatively fast and can correct problems with VOBs that you have in Premiere Elements 2.0.
Is there audio for the entire movie?
You might also have a problem with DVD markers or the menu. The only way you are going to find out is to remove them and try burning.

  • Error -5000 and: Error when loading the transcode setting

For a couple of days I've been trying to export my project on a DVD, but on the half way of the transcoding it comes the Error -5000, and then there is such a message, something about the navigation, can't be found etc... I work on a mac OS X, using Encore CS3, all my data I've got on my external harddisk, with space of 80 GB.
Besides, when I'm trying to export my project on a blu-ray disc, there comes a message: Error when loading the transcode setting! I know that there are only two codecs there - H.264 and MPEG-2, and there are only MPEG-2 movie files there, so I set the MPEG-2 codec. And there comes such a thing! Having set the H.264, there comes the same. What can it be?
And the last one is the copy protection. I know that it can be activated, with CGMS and Macrovision, only if the CSS option is set on "permit no copies". So I do, and then there comes a message - "for these settings there is no copy protection provided". So what now to do?

My flash drive PNY comes up with error -5000 and i do not know what to do can you help me with this problems

  • Error loading transcode preset  (yes I know, again, but please read)

I am new to most of the Adobe products and recently purchased Adobe creative suite cs4 master.  I make slide shows, haven't tried any video yet.  I am making a several-disc large set of slideshows of a European vacation for a friend of mine.  There were roughly 2000 pictures, most of which I edited in Photoshop.
I built the slideshows in Encore and burned the first three DVD's no problem.  They play well on a dvd player attached to a TV.  The current DVD I'm trying to burn gives me the message  "Error Loading transncode preset.  I have spent many hours researching this online, and I do some some references and fixes for it here on this forum.  However they are not working for me.  I went back and looked at my DVD's that burned properly and tried to make everything the same, but I still get the same message.
The first couple of tries, the burn process always stopped when loading the same song, so I removed it and put a different one in.  This project has 4 slideshows in it, about 10 songs and nothing else.
I have a Dell Precision T3400 and am using      XP Pro service pack 3.  It has Intel(R) Core (TM) Quad CPU,  Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz with 2.39 GHz  3.00 GB RAM.  I have Creative SB XFI sound  and MVidia Quadro FX 1700 video.  I dont know what else you need in the way of documentation.
I have rebuilt this whole project once already and now I still cant burn it from the second build.
I know this question has been asked already, but I tried one of the suggestions about removing the stuff in the Source Folder which didn't work for me.  I don't understand some of your complex terminology but I am willing to learn anything.
Is there someone who would adopt a newbie and help me wade through some of the terminology I haven't picked up yet?  I'm a quick learner and am building my own terminology dictionary as I go.
Thank you for listening.  I hope you can help.

Here is more information about my Encore slideshows.  The DVD I'm trying to make has 5 slideshows in it, no timelines and no playists.  Each of the slide shows have between 55 and 75 jpeg images in them and between 1 and 3 wma or mp3 music files in each one.  There are more .wma than .mp3 music files, and many of them I first edited in Soundbooth to make it exactly the same length since it is going into a slideshow and not a timeline.  The lwma files I try to remember to save as mp3 files thinking they would be easier to transcode.  Honestly I know so very little about transcoding that it's virtually impossible to help myself with that.  I have yet to find a good tutorial on that.
Regarding the images in all the slideshows, they are all jpg files and are mostly 600x800 in size.  Most of them are 95kb or less in size.  They were taken with the same camera except for a very few, less than 1% that I added for effect.  One image that I just looked at is 180 ppi.  I didnt create it that way, because I dont know how.  The size in inches of the images are around the area of 7.8 inches x 6.7 inches.  The mode is RGB.
Regarding linking, I set the menu, which is an encore template and have used the same menu for all DVD's, as first play object and then link the menu to the first slide show, each slideshow to the next, and have end action of the last slideshow returning to the menu.  I have kept this as simple as possible because I'm new to Encore and most of the CS4 master suite.  My plan is to learn Premiere Pro and do the slideshows there but wanted to get this big one done as quickly as possibly.  I edited most of the 2000 images all in Photoshop so it has been a timely process.
I am unable to open this project anymore without getting an error message saying "[..\..\Src\Clip\VideoClip.cpp-275]"  This happened after I tried the suggestion to delete everything out of the transcode folder for this project.  I did that, but when I reopened my project, it didnt ask me to locate any files and only gave me the above error.  When I click on on the error, Encore crashes.  So I cant do the screen shots of my project.
I'll be glad to add any information I inadvertently left out.  Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

  • HELP: Spent hours/days trying to fix transcoding error in DVD burn

I'm at my wit's end. Been 'round and 'round online help, troubleshooting randomly, etc.  After my movie is edited in Premiere Elements 3.0 I try to burn it in Create DVD.  Each time I try I get transcoding error at 31.69% and the message that Adobe has failed to return a video frame.  I've gone over the rendered video and especially at about the 34-minute mark but cannot find problem.
I took original footage in Flip camera, converted the file to .wmv with Prism Video Converter, as I always do, and the first version of this movie burned with no trouble.  I came back and added a clip, also in .wmv format, and now it won't burn.  Seriously, I'm going crazy and would love to be able to chat by phone so someone can walk me through it.  This video is for a workshop that I lead and people are waiting for it.
    Can anyone help me?
    Nora

Well, gentlemen, I awoke this morning to the same error in the same spot.
So I combed the entire timeline again and did actually find and fix a couple of gaps which I'd somehow overlooked the first two times (can't imagine how that happened).  Burned it again and same error, same place.  Really, this is killing me.
So all I need now is to know how to successfully export/burn it to a folder or other media.  Then maybe I can re-load it into Adobe or burn directly to DVD from remote place.  I'm trying now to burn it to 8.(?)G folder because when I tried burning it to 4.7G folder it didn't work.
Any other suggestions for getting this movie onto another form of media so I can go from there?
    Thank you
    Nora

  • Out of Memory Error when transcoding

I am using winXP and Encore CS3. I don't have anything else open. My project is complete, but I cannot burn to DVD because I get this Out of Memory error, save and close to avoid loss.  I am trying to transcode the audio track for the DVD. I've made 3 different projects. On one of the projects, I just downloaded, it did transcode. All of my menu work is in another program. Is there a way to get this one transcoded file over to the other project. Then I could be finished and burn. I don't understand why this one transcode will not work. the other music I brought in as assets for the menu and submenu transcoded fine. Sometime it will say 'transcode preset error'. I went all the way back to Premiere and changed setting there in hopes. can anyone help please

    Thanks, disheartening? I'm distraught.
Everything else works, but not Encore. I tried to reinstall, but it keeps saying it cannot install until I close Bridge.
    Bridge is not open.
I restarted. I uninstalled an earlier verion of Bridge.
    Nothing doing.
still wants me to close Bridge.
I hate to do the whole thing over because of encore.
Help me think of a workaround!

  • Premiere Elements transcoding error

After dozens of hours editing I get a transcoding error when trying to burn a project to disk in Premiere Elements 12. Can anyone suggest a solution or workaround?

Sorry I didn't realise email responses would not show up in the forum correctly. Here is my response to ATR posted using the forum:
What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on?
    >Windows 7 SP1 64 bit. This is running on a 2nd generation i7 with 8GB of RAM and more that 1 TB space left on the c:/ drive. I have used this laptop for similar projects before using Premiere Elements 11 and have not had a transcoding problem before. These were similar length (1.5 hr productions of a repertory club in an Australian hick town), shot in HD on the same camera a Canon LEGRIA HF G30.
Have you updated 12 to 12.1 using an opened project's Help Menu/Update? If not, please do so.
    >I updated and tried to publish to DVD again - same result.
    What produced this error
    >a. burn to DVD-VIDEO standard or widescreen
What is the size of this project...just before you hit burn, does the burn dialog give you a reading for Space Required and Bitrate? What type/capacity disc are you using?
    >6.96GB (Bitrate 8.00Mbps) to single layer DVD 4.7G, Fit to Disk size selected, resulting in 4.38GB at 4.99Mbps.
If menus, how many menu markers and how many main menu pages and how many scene menu pages.
    > One main menu, 2 scene menu pages with 6 scenes.
    1. Expand the Timeline with the -+ slider above the Timeline, press the End key of the computer keyboard. Does the Timeline Indicator stop at the last item on the Timeline or does it go beyond that point?
    >Yes, at end of last item on Timeline.
If beyond, check out the place where the Timeline Indicator stopped. Look for debris there and remove it if found.
    > N/A
    2. Check the spacing of the Timeline menu markers. Check the menus for overlapping buttons.
    >Some Scene Markers were slightly out of place at maximum Timeline expansion. How do I get back into the Title and Scene screens to check for button overlaps (don’t believe there are any though)?

  • Transcode to HDV error

In trying to export a half hr show in HDV the transcode step always gets about 3-6 minutes in and crashes. Have disabled anti virus/screen savers/dual monitors etc. Reinstalled system clean and software no luck. Project is on external Seagate drive via sata cable 7200rpm. In the error report I always see ModName: fx-prodad-vitascene.prm I was suspecting third party Vitascene plug-in in for CS3 which I use for a few transitions but all updates, including directX are current. Working with HDV mpeg-2 files.
    My System:
    Shuttle pc intel core2 duo
    WinXP pro SP3
    2G RAM
    (1) 500G Internal 7200
    NVidia GForce 9600GT
    CS3 Production Bundle
    All Software Updates Current

You have obviously used the ProDAD Vitascene on part of your Timeline. I've heard of very few problems with it, you you might want to do a test without that Effect, just to see what is going on. I use Vitascene a bit, and have had zero issues, but then I am applying it to SD material.
Though it sounds like you have shut down many of the "usual suspects," this ARTICLE might give you a useful tip - or you may already have done everything in it.
Good luck, and let us know how the non-Vitascene version works.

  • Flash Builder Burrito 'unable to resolve ... for transcoding' error css file

    Hi,
I am trying to dip my toes into the waters of mobile development with the preview release of flash builder burrito.
I am doing so by trying to port over an application I have built in Flash Builder 4 for the web, by bringing it into a mobile app piece by piece, using the view stack struture peculiar to mobile apps.
I am haivng an issue with my untouched css file that I am trying to use in the app. It's a direct copy from the other app in the same directory structure and yet I have declarations of embedded images of the form:
    .topLogo {
        url: Embed(source="assets/images/header-logo.png");
    Which continually cause:
unable to resolve '/assets/css/assets/images/header-logo.png' for transcoding     Flex Style Problem
    errors.
It is drving me utterly nuts. The images are there, and if I change the path to an invalid one I get a proper error in the editor, so it IS resolving them, but then these transcoding errors come up and seem to be triggering repeatedly as the problems pane keeps taking the focus away from the editor.
    It's driving me nuts.
Anyone know if I've missed something?

Problem solved by turning off Design View (which we never use anyway, useless thing for OO style programming), it's on by default with a new install of Flash builder.
The mobile app looks promising, just waiting on a developer license to see how it goes on an iPad

  • Error Loading Transcode Preset

    I'm suddenly getting an
    "Error Loading Transcode Preset" message.
It won't let me import files or create timelines from them.
    Files are .m2v and .wav
    How do I correct this?
    Thanks.
    Bobb

I'm getting the same error message upon opening certain projects, others load. when I get the error and click okay I go back to the welcome screen and the project didn't load.
Haven't tried a re-install (at my workplace its a real PITA as they have denied users admin functions so we cannot load our own software)
Besides that, any ideas?? the projects in question were sucessfully created DVD projects, I wanted to go back in and burn another master.
    Thanks

  • Error loading transcode presets

    Hello,
After solving the problem error importing transcode presets.
I have Mpeg 2 dvd files (.mpg), exported with Premiere CS3.
Now I almost finished my project and put an video as background in a menu and now I am getting the following error: error loading transcode presets.
I am really getting sick of all the errors I am getting from encore dvd cs2 but I know it is the 'easiest' and best way to create dvd's when you're also have premiere cs3.
Cann somebody please help me, to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,

  • Importing m2v-file: Error loading transcode preset

    Dear all,
Just have Encore 1.51 a few weeks now (eBay). But sofar I couldn't get a project together. Only problems when importing (good) m2v files. Also on the forum almost no solutions.
Once again I have an Error loading transcode preset. I just made a DVD from a video on my DVD recorder, demuxed it on my computer, but can't import it :((
I also have posted 2 previous topics concerning my other problems with Encore, but sofar nobody has an answer. I just want to have working software.
Can anyone really help. Otherwise it's wiser to sell this software.
    Han Bouman

    >Resolution: 704*576
Although Encore will accept 704x576 it will always re-transcode it to 720x576. That shouldn't be the reason for the "abnormal condition" error however.
Maybe Neil's suggestion of a DVD-Video illegal GOP structure applies.
You could do some more testing with
    MPEG Validator
. Are any of the GOPs larger than 15 frames? Does MPEG Validator report anything it doesn't like?
