  • When burning to blu-ray gets 99% done then error "device not ready"

I have Elements 11 and an ASUS Combo burner.  I can burn to DVDs but when I try to burn to blu-ray it gets done encoding and compiling then at 99% switchs message to "device not ready".  The computer sees the drive and the disc is formatted.  Any thoughts on why Elements stops right when at end before actually burning to the disc?

I don't know the answer but I suspect Blu-Ray disks are not supported in PSE.  I haven't tried it personally but I will have to try it one of these days when my computer is repaired to my satisfaction.  I was without a machine for nearly two weeks and now I am using a borrowed one from a friend.

  • Adobe Encore Problem: 'Device Not Ready' when burning to BluRay

Hi Im using Encore cs6 to burn to BluRay.  The programme runs for about 20 mins or so then suddenly stops and the message 'device not ready' comes up.
I downloaded and tried ImgBurn to make sure my BluRay drive was working properly and it had no problems, the problem is just with Encore.  I saved my Encore project as an image in order to burn with Imgburn but it did not take across the menu I had designed.
Im under a deadline to get this dvd finished, does anyone have any ideas?
Im using an Alienware computer on Windows 8.
    thanks!
    Tony

I don't recall this occurring with imgBurn or Encore doing the burning. I can only imagine that your project is corrupt.
I would create a new, test project, to see if the menus "behave."
Create a new Encore project, new name, in the new project settings make it Bluray.
Add menus from the library: Crib Menu HD and City Lights HD. On Crib, in properties, motion tab, click on the video option and hit delete (this will remove the motion from the menu).
On that same menu, delete the bottom two buttons. On the city lights menu, delete all buttons but the top.
Select the m2v file (from the Crib motion menu) and select new timeline. Select that timeline and set the end action as "Last menu."
On the Crib menu, link the top button to the City menu. Link the second button to the timeline.
On the city menu, link the button to the Crib menu.
Build to a BD image. Burn with ImgBurn. Are the menus the same?

I was originally not in the network and networkmanager group but tried adding myself in the course of reading your post, because I thought maybe that could be the reason, but it didn't change anything
I had to create the networkmanager group because it was not existent but https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Groups#Groups says this group should exist.

  • HT3887 why does my iPhone say device not supported when connecting to my make even after it has successfully paired?

why does my iphone say device not supported when connecting to my mac pro, even though it has already succesfuly paired? I also use a wirless bluetooth keyboard and mouse on the computer successfully.
Also when I turn Bluetooth on on the phone the devices cog never stops turning (forever serching for a device)

iTunes automatically syncs voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect iPhone to your computer.
It couldn't be much easier than that as you don't actually have to do anything more than normal.
This lets you listen to voice memos on your computer and provides a backup if you delete them from iPhone.
Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos application until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPhone, it isn’t deleted from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. However, if you delete a voice memo from iTunes, it is deleted from iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes.
USB syncing is far faster than Bluetooth.

  • Top Link error 17002 The Network Adapter could not establish the connection

I have installed an application developped in an another environnement.
I have created the database schema in my own database.
I have created a database connection to this schema.
I have reconciled the schema using this connection (so the database and the connection are available and correct from jdeveloper)
I have updated the Mapping to use the new connection and new generated the mapping status report without any errors
and i still have this error ! The Network Adapter could not establish the connection when i access any jsp document containing data from the database.
I check and recheck everything and all is correct ... sure something is wrong somewhere ... where is the question ...

Sorry I think you didn't read the thread or you read it too fast !
I'm not a beginner and I know what the problem is but all the settings are correct in jdev and the database and the listener are running ... i'm able to browse the tables, seeing data reconciling objects with the database connection referenced in the top link descriptor
It seem that top link is using something else and i don't understand from where it took the connection description.

I'm having kind of the same problem here. After a crash I had the other day, my networkmanager stopped working (don't ask me why!!).
So, I removed NM completely and installed it from scratch following step by step all the instructions in the NetworkManager wiki; but the only thing I get is an applett that insists in saying "network manager disabled" (no matter whether I remove the NetworkManager.state pid file), and a "deactivating device (reason: 2)" line right after a "bringing up device" line in the daemon.log.
Any suggestions? Is there a bug in NM? Or should I look for some corrupted file remaining in my system after that crash?
    EDIT:
After one dozen tries and much fidgetting and modifying things, I've got it working, but I don't know which has been the decisive move. I think one of these two:
-either modifying in my BIOS the settings for the wireless killswitch,
-or uninstalling the kdemod-networkmanagement-networkmanager-plasmoid (that I had installed along with kdemod-networkmanagement-knetworkmanager-kde4)

  • Bluetooth devices not finding or connecting to iPhone 5 after update to iOS 6.1.3?

Is anyone else having this problem? This is also happening on my ipad 4th gen. Anyone have a solution for this? It is very frustrating!

I figured it out. On the device(s) that I was trying to connect there is a function on the device that makes it discoverable by your iPhone/iPad. Some devices have an actual button that is labeled "connect" on the bottom or in an inconspicuous place on the device. Others can activate this function by long holding the action button (like that on a Bluetooth headset) for 5+ seconds until the device goes into "discover" mode. Then your iPhone/iPad should be able to find the device and you can connect. If this does not work sometimes hard resetting the actual Bluetooth device will fix the problem. You will have to research your specific device as each one has a different sequence to accomplish this. I hope this helps!

  • Error: iTunes cannot open library because it was created by a newer version

alas, I just updated to iTunes 8 and it is giving me this message! I really want to listen to music right now!

I tried your suggestion and it worked fine except when I open the iTunes window, it doesn't allow me to drop the iTunes Library. I tried dropping it in the open area, over Music, Over Library etc. without any success. The circle with the line through it does not change to an arrow which indicates okay to drop.
What led to this error is this: My car has Text To Speech (TTS) recognition built into the music system. After plugging in my iPod, the system can speak back to me various options from the iPod such as playlists, albums, artists, genres. Only problem was that it doesn't support iTunes version greater than 7.
So I deleted version 8.0 and reinstalled 7.02
After following your directions I am now able to open the iTunes Window which I could not do before. The Music Library which was moved to a different directory according to your directions, does not drop anywhere in the iTunes window.
Am I missing something? Hope you can help.

  • Errors in LabVIEW because Max is not ready

I'm having an unusual problem with Max and LabVIEW.
I need to have a LabVIEW program launch auotmatically on startup and run unattended. I put a shortcut in the Startup folder, use automatic logon, and generally things work. However, I have had some issues doing this with 8186 and 8187 PXI controllers. The 8186 was running WXP. When it started up and launched my program, often times LabVIEW could not talk to various NI hardware in the PXI chassis. I would get errors doing D/A, A/D, DIO, reading Max settings, whatever. If I quit the program, exit LabVIEW, then launch the program again without rebooting, everything usually works.
The 8187 is similar, but the problems aren't as severe. Most of the time, the program works right away when it boots up and runs. However, once in a while, the digital output doesn't work. It doesn't return an error, but the DO bits don't work. It's as if the DIO mapping is wrong, and it's setting a different DIO port or something. If I quit LabVIEW and restart it, it is fine. So I'm guessing that it has to do with MAX. I believe LV reads the Max database when it launches. If Max isn't ready or something goes wrong, it won't work until LabVIEW is restarted and rereads Max. I'm using traditional Daq, by the way. Also, I'm configuring the DO channels in LabVIEW, not in Max, so all that Max should be doing for the DO is registering which Device is which.
I' playing with putting a delay in the startup before launching LabVIEW. That seems to help. A 10 second delay reduced the chance of the DO error somewhat. So far, a 20 second delay seems to have eliminated the error. But that is a poor kludge.
Summary: PXI-8187, PXI E-series multifunction card, LV 7.1, Max 3.1, Traditional NI-Daq, W2K, DO. Has anyone seen a situation wherein Max does not appear to be ready by the time LabVIEW has launched and started? If so, is there a fix? There are 10 kinds of people: those who understand binary, and those who don't.

    Nick,
Thanks for the idea. I had considered trying this, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I've done this before with other systems. The reason I did it then is that it loads faster. In this case, I was going to try it just because it was something different, but I wasn't expecting much. In fact, loading the LV software faster would, according to my current theory, just make things worse. It seems that the LV program is starting before the low-level drivers are really ready. So how would making the LV program (in .exe form) load faster help?

this message is in the systems protocol from win xp.
i've looked for a new driver for the via chipset but ther in only the one from 31.10.03. is it a driver problem?

affirm both HD's are formated and partitionated. i thik it's a trouble with the via s-ata/raid driver (or maybe chipset) because there is not realy a problem. i can use the pc normaly, but i wondered about all these entrys in the windows systems log file.  and there are realy a lot of it.

  • Errors thrown when opening files: "could not complete your request because of a program error"

I have a user on our network that recently had Photoshop CS5 reinstalled. Now when she opens .psd files she is notified to "Update the text layers" on the document. If you press "Update" the error "could not complete your request because of a program error" is thrown. If she clicks "no" then she can't properly edit the text layers on the files. I have reset her preferences files and run the font test script with no luck on either.

There is likely a font on that system that's corrupted or for some reason Photoshop just can't deal with.  Fonts are complex things, and it's well known that bad fonts can crash applications.
Ferreting out such a font is normally a matter of removing all but the default fonts, seeing that the problem is corrected, then adding the fonts back in systematically until the offender is isolated.  Yes, this can be tedious.
If it's not a font problem, there's a possibility it's a display driver problem.  To help diagnose that, go into Edit - Preferences - Performance, disable OpenGL Drawing, then restart Photoshop.  If the problem goes away, you'll want to check the web site of the maker of the video card for driver updates.  Don't forget to re-enable OpenGL Drawing again after updating the driver.
    Good luck.
