Errors with series link/series record

Has anyone noticed this problem recently.  So a new series starts in a few days time.  I find it in my EPG and press record twice to set up a series record.  But it will only record that ONE programme.  it tells me it isn't a series, even though I know it is!  So I have to remember to go back to the EPG a few days later, find the second programme and set up the series record from ep 2.  I thought I was imagining this but it has happened on two different series lately.  Very annoying!!

Yes, this happens sometimes. It's all down to the data supplied by Freeview to the EPG. Sometimes they get it wrong. So it's not a box problem, but an EPG problem. You should try series recording MOTD 1 & 2. Nightmare!

  • IR - Error with ROWID link to single column.

    Just upgraded to Apex 4.0.1 very few issues but one I have found is with Interactive Reports.
    I have an IR that uses ROWID as the column link to view an individual row (SQL Query joins 4 tables). In APEX 3.1.2 this worked fine but after the upgrade I get the following error.

  • Encore - Memory Allocation Error - With Dynamic Link

    CS4 using Vista
    The process (AdobeEncore.exe *32) gets stuck at 959,736K while 6GB is available.
    In the past I have built many DVDs using a Dynamic Link from Encore to Premiere Pro.
    Now they all end in errors: Memory Allocation Error & Unable to Create Image Buffer.
    I monitored the process in the Windows Task Manager.
    The memory use for the (AdobeEncore.exe *32) process grows until it reaches  959,736K.
    The memory use stops there but the process continues for a while and then Encore stops with the errors.
    I guess is that (AdobeEncore.exe *32) has become limited to 1GB but the is plenty of memory available.
    I can Import a file and make a DVD without using the Dynamic Link.

  • Error with view link and ADF table Tree

    Hello
    ( Note: View objects are created based on static data but not from database tables)
    I created two view objects "SuiteViewObject" and "FamilyViewObject" which are based on static data( stored in collection) but not on database entity. A veiw link "SuiteFamilyViewLink" is created from the above two view objects. An ADFTreeTable is created from the above view objects and view link. When run the jspx page containing ADFTreeTable, following error is occured in the browser.
    JBO-30003: The application pool (staticviewobjects.staticappLocal) failed to checkout an application module due to the following exception:
    oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.InvalidOperException, msg=JBO-26016: Cannot set user query to view "FamilyViewObj2" because it is a destination in a view link
    Any help on the above error message.?

    The above error is coming becuase view link's SQL query expects tables. But in my case I dont have tables, view objects are created from static data source(collection).
    How to create a view link from view objects which are created based on static data source(collection)?

  • Error with Dynamic Link - AE won't Open!

    Yesterday I was working on a project in AE, (Im running CS5) and everything was wonderful.
    Today when I try to open AE I get an error message that looks like this:

    /Library/Application Support/
    Adobe/Common/dynamiclink/CS5/
    dynamiclinkmanager.app
    I have tried replacing that dynamiclinkmanager.app with one from a different computer that is running fine.
    Anybody have any suggestions? All my other CS5 programs run fine.

    Most likely not the app itself, but the prefs or media cache. Clean them out. Info on directories here.

    I am new to this forum, apologies in advance if I am not following any particular established protocol. Anyway, with the old BT vision, I used to have  all the  spanish league football programs on sky sports 1 and 2 scheduled for series recording. I can no longer do this with the new look BT vision. Why??

    The new look BTVision use the Freeview dynamic EPG. If the series link info is missing this down to the broadcaster rather than to BT.
    The dynamic  EPG allows ( when properly used by the broadcaster) a recording to start and end on time even when the programme starts or finishes later than advertised.

  • Additional record time problem with series

    I cannot record a particular show appearing on a local PBS station beyond the time the show is on. The show is EastEnders & it comes on every Sunday night. There are 2 different episodes, one starts at 11pm & ends at 11:30, the 2nd show starts at 11:30 PM & ends at midnight. There are no episode titles, It appears simply as EastEnders for both time slots in the program guide
    When I set up the series recording on my FiOS DVR, I set it to record a specified length of time after the show ends, so I don't miss any of it in case  the show  runs long. The problem is that although I have set it up correctly, the DVR will not record for any length of time after the 2nd show ends. I have tried setting it to record 15, 30, 60 & 90 minutes after the show ends & it always stops recording just at the point the 2nd show ends. I know it is not the actual DVR at fault as I tried this on both of my DVRs & the same thing happened. Also, this is the only show that I have a problem with. Other shows that I have set up to record longer, do so without a problem.
    I have spoken to FiOS tech support several times about this issue & can't resolve it. They said they get calls from customers with issues like mine from time to time, but don't know what the problem is.
    Could this have something to do with the way the PBS station communicates it's program guide to Verizon? If so, what exactly is the issue? Is there a fix?

    Try making a manual recording.  You can specify the start time, end time, and recurrence on a specified day of the week. That should eliminate any issues the guide may be causing.  You can't attach the show's name so it will show up in your list of recordings as a manual recording.

  • Series Link on recording records the repeat - How ...

    I always find whenever a programme is repeated the next day or a few days later, it will record the repeat then the next episode. Some shows have more than one repeat so the Vision box will record all the repeats.
    That never used to happen on Sky+. Is there any way of preventing the repeat from being recorded?
    It has happened with shows I have recorded such as Pramface on BBC Three, Police Interceptors on Channel 5, That Sunday Night Show on ITV1 and Father Ted on More 4.
    Please would somebody be able to tell me if there are changes you can make to your record setting so that only one episode of a programme is recorded without any repeats of the same episode from being recorded?
    Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
    P.S. Is there any way of finding out how much spare disk space you have left on your Vision box like Sky+ that shows it as a percentage?

    This is a known bug. It will be fixed. If you have a DTT strength meter then you don't have the new software. How long have you had your box?

    And what exactly? Sorry, you need to explain better. Just spitting bullet points is not going anywhere. In particular provide some system info and describe the exact problem. Does the installer launch at all? Are there error messages?

  • Cannot schedule a series recording for a programme...

    10pm Channel 4 Sunday Peep Show
    The first in a new series but when I try to series record this message comes up. "Cannot schedule a series recording for a programme that's not a series"
    Trying from episode 2 works fine but not episode one. This has happened with several programs recently. The first episode even has the option when you press the "i" button to Record Series but you can't series record from episode one.
    I'm sure it was the same with Homeland and Hatfields & McCoys.
    It's not a major issue but why does it happen?

    I did think that. However it still does it when there is more than one episode listed in the EPG. That's how i know there's a problem. It clearly shows a series listed but episode 1 doesn't allow series record but episode 2 does.
    I've just deleted both the single recording for ep 1 and the series recording for ep 2 - so NO episodes are set to record and there is NO series recording set.
    It still won't series record from ep 1 (even now ep2 appears in the EPG) but...
    if ep1 is NOT set to record and I series record ep2 it also adds ep1 to the list of episodes to record.
    So ep2 knows ep1 is part of the series BUT ep1 thinks its a stand alone episode......
    As i say nothing major....

    I want to record all of the Oakland A's games.  How do I set up a series recording?  I don't see that option.  

    This is the exact same problem I having here in the Bay Area.  I want to record the Giants Replay on Comcast Sports Net that comes on every night after a Giants game. But it won't allow me to set it up as a series recording.  Sports is probably the biggest reason I have cable TV and this is just not set up properly. I know that Uverse handles this very easily! I am very happy with my Comcast service except for this part of it!

    I enjoy watching both of these programmes that are on once each month (only just noticed Crimewatch is on tonight nearly 15 minutes after it started), but I always seem to miss Crimewatch as there is no Series Recording or any reminder I seem to be able to set for it that renews itself the next month when it's on again.
    Why does BT Vision do this?
    Likewise, why is the Series Recording often available for one-off programmes?
    Doesn't make any sense!

    If I don't even know if it's on or when it's on then a Post-It note is of no use. The idea is that the box should be able to find the next episode to be broadcast and for it to appear in the 'Scheduled Recordings' section of the menu.
    The problem with the BBC regarding Crimewatch is that they forever switch what day it's broadcast and which week of the month it's broadcast so I can't keep up with it but the box should be able to if it can manage to record other programmes if they switch days or times or if a programme gets cancelled then it will find when it is on next.

  • Adobe Updates not downloading - available but "try again later" error with link to "serial number not qualifying"

    I just upgraded computers (PC w/Windows 8 64 bit) and I did a fresh install of my copy of Adobe Photoshop CS5 (along with Bridge and Camera Raw).
    The install asked for serial numbers which I provided and the installation was a success - however, I can not view full resolution images, only thumbs
    in Bridge and I can not open RAW files from my Canon 5D Mark III (though, I can my files with the older Canon 7D).  I WAS able to view and work with
    the newer RAW files on the older computer.
    Under "Help", "Updates", it says they are available but after appearing to upload to my computers, I get this:

    Apparently, Adobe has very little interest in it's past customers unless they shell out more cash.
    I have never seen such a move as this - to REMOVE support and older update links off the Web in an effort to force an upgrade.
    My tech support stated (after first stating I was simply out of luck) that he was graciously allowed to make an exception and provided me with a link to support that is strangely
    hidden and /or removed from public access.
