Errror message: "This iphone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device is not started". I now cannot sync on itunes
The error message is "This iphone cannot be used becuase the Apple Mobile Device service is not started". Iphone will not start synci since the message appeared.
I'd start with the following document with that one:

it means that the service that suporting your device on the computer is not started
to restart it go in windows task manager by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ESC (ECHAP in french keyboard)
or right clic on task bare and start windows task manager
go on tab ''service'' find apple mobile device, right clic on it and start this service
now you device should be able to connect to itunes -

uninstall and reinstall
there is a complicated way to work with just the mobile device support but its simpler just to uninstall itunes and related components and then reinstall itunes
ur music will be fine, u will just lose the playlists. but ur mobile device support will be working again. -
