Errror Message when syncing Calendar....help appreciated

Hi I am getting the following error message: "iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone “NewLeaf’s iPhone” because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone"
Any ideas on how to fix this? It has been happening all week.
Thanks

Yes there is a limitation. It seemed to surface with itunes 7.6.1 and is still in 7.6.2. If the note/comment section of my outlook 2003 meeting events is much longer than a single screen of text, the event doesn't get sync'd to my iphone.
My company uses a very long list of access phone numbers (3 screens of scrolling worth) in all emails (for conference calls) automatically so I have to accept a meeting in outlook, then go into it (single event or recurring... same problem) and delete the extra text that I don't need. Then it syncs to iphone correctly.
Its a pain, but thats the only way I was able to fix it.
I posted it as soon as 7.6.1 came out. Prior to that btw, I was using 7.5 because 7.6 stopped outlook syncing of all calendar events that were multi-day with multi-participants. Weird. Some people claimed that wasn't happening, but it was. So I had downgraded to 7.5 until 761 came out and then this glitch.
Given iPhone 2.0 is due out by end of June (per apple announcements) which will include ActiveSync support and over air MS Exchange support, odds are we have to wait until then to get outlook operating right fully.
Hope this helps
Ken

  • Error message when syncing calendars

I've been successfully syncing my iPhone 4 with iTunes for the past year on my 2011 iMac. I recently upgraded to the latest (thin) iMac and an iPhone 5. Everything has worked smoothly for the past week or so, but just now, when syncing, I got an error message, as follows:
"iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone "Eric's iPhone 5" because an error occurred while sending data from the iPhone."
I restarted the iPhone and have tried repeatedly to sync, but no dice.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Eric

    Hi,
This was happening to me with Outlook 2007 and the iCloud Control Panel (CP). I spent days trying to get it sorted out and as usual once it worked I wasn't completely sure what exactly fixed it.
    This is what I did:
    1. Ensured Outlook 2007 was completely up to date with Windows Update.
    2. Unchecked everything in iCloud CP.
    3. Logged out of iCloud CP and when asked I removed all contacts, calendars on my PC.
    4. Uninstalled iCloud CP.
    5. Redownloaded and reinstalled iCloud CP.
    6. Logged into iCloud via iCloud CP.
    7. Checked Mail, Contacts and Calendars.
    8. Didn't get the error message and now I can see all my contacts and calendar stuff from iCloud in Outlook 2007.
    HTH.

  • Calendar Sync Error message when syncing my iPhone4 in iTunes

I get the following message when syncing my iPhone4 in iTunes:  itunes could not sync calendars to the iphone because the sync server failed to sync the iphone.  Any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem. My Nano will copy the first 275MB of songs over, but after that, I get:
"Attempting to copy to the disk "(ipod name)" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to."
I've restored my nano multiple times, and updated to the latest version of iTunes (7.6.0.29). Software version on my Nano is 1.1.3.
I'm on a Windows XP system and have had no problems until yesterday when I attempted to add more songs.

  • Error message when syncing apps

I have some games and stuff on my phone. The last few times I have synced my phone, I get a pop up box that says the apps were not transfered to my phone because of an unknown error. Error code OxE800002E. The apps in question are on the phone, but have updates available. I've updated them on the PC, but the newer versions are not replacing the older version on the phone.
    Anyone have a clue???
I also just got a macbook this weekend, and I get the same erreor message when syncing on it.

    One thing that might help.
First, make sure the iphone is updated to version 2.1
To do this, connect the iphone to itunes 8 and click the button to check for update.
Try deleting all the purchased apps off the iphone.
Then on your computer, click on store at the top and choose deauthorize.
Once the computer is deauthorize, click on store at the top again and choose authorize computer.
Once the computer is authorized, connect the iphone and try syncing one of the apps.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error message when syncing with iPhone

Since upgrading my OS this week, I've consistently got an error message when syncing playlists with my phone. See below:

  • Since I downloaded iTunes 11, I get a message when syncing my iPod that some of my songs were not copied because they are not authorized on this computer,  I go to Store Authorize This Computer, a message pops up telling me that this computer is already.

Since I downloaded iTunes 11, I get a message when syncing my iPod that some of my songs were not copied because they are not authorized on this computer,  I go to Store> Authorize This Computer, a message pops up telling me that this computer is already.

So I am unclear, did you purchase these songs or import them from a cd?
If you imported them and still have the CD try importing them again and see if they work the delete the others.
Or if you purchased from itunes re-dowwnload and see if they work. Maybe they are corrupted files and this should resove it.

  • ITunes displays -48 error message when syncing iPod Nano on Windows XP

My girlfriend's mom's iPod Nano ran out of charge while jogging so she decided to charge it on her daughter's iHome. The next day she went to use her iPod but it was totally empty of all music and files. When she tried to sync it to iTunes, she received an eror message stating, "An unknown error has occurred (-48)" from iTunes and a Windows message stating that some iPod folder/file was corrupted.
If anyone receives such a message, I was able to correct it by:
-Plugging in your iPod to your PC
    -Ignore the error messages
    -Go to My Computer
-Find your iPod's drive letter (ie. G:)
-Right-click on it and select Properties
-Go to Tools Tab >Error-checking and select Check Now
You should be able to sync your iPod as before. I do not claim to be an expert so be warned that it may not work for you. Good luck!

  • Window - No Disk Message when Syncing

Quite often I get a Windows - No Disk error message when syncing a new CD to my Ipod Classic 160GB. The box has a message saying "There is no disk in the driver. Please insert a disk into drive G." Drive G is a port for the USB connecting cable and does not have a disk associated with it. After a few clicks on the cancel button it goes away but is becoming quite annoying. Any suggestions?

  • HELP! NEW 3G Error message when syncing to itunes

Has anyone ever seen this message? I just bought phone today, tried to sync for 1st time with just updated itunes and apple software and I get this message:
"APPLE MOBILE DEVICE HELPER HAS STOPPED WORKING!" The iphone icon will eventually show up on the left of iTunes, but does not sync or link. I cannot click on the phone icon to adjust any settings, its as if iTunes recoqnizes it but it does not fully register. I have removed itunes and all apple software twice from my computer and have re-installed it all! Still does not work! Been on hold with Apple for support now for an hour! HELP PLEASE!!!

That sounds like a Vista Error message to me. I've received many "stopped working" messages for different programs and it is phrased just like that when Vista is having difficulty. I would make sure that you're logged on with an account that has Admin privileges. I run Vista on one of my machines as well, and I've learned that it can be real picky about things, and admin rights is one of them when it comes to running certain programs. Sometimes simply right clicking the program and opting to "Run as Administrator" will do the trick.
