I do not seem to have access to SM59 tcode.
Could you let us know what needs to be done if I want to work on SAP XI Scenario development in this workplace.

SAP GRC 10 - PSS Access from SAP ECC System

I have configured Password Self Service in GRC System and is working perfectly fine for all password resets if access provided to NWBC from GRC System.
We have requirement to provide end users to reset password using SAP ECC System only. I have tried to access NWBC using SAP ECC System but is giving me error that Menu not configured or roles not assigned.
Currently Maintain Data Sources is configured as below
User Search Data Sources , User Detail Data Sources & User Authentication Data Sources set to ECC Connector and End User Vertification Set to yes.We are not using LDAP / Active Directory for the User Search Database and instead ECC Only
Can anyone provide the roles to be assigned in SAP ECC System to access NWBC - Password Reset .

In support to Colleen's comments, It seems that you have not configured the USER on the End User Services. You need to make sure that the guest user (not available in GRC) is configured in each of the 10 services in SICF for the end user Login Pages to work.
Here are the 10 required services to be activated:

2.)GRAC_GAF_NAME_CHANGE_SERV_EU
3.)GRAC_POWL_REQUEST_STATUS_EU
4.)GRAC_GAF_PWD_SELFSERVICE_EU

If the user is not present in GRC system then, they have to go with end-user-logon page to reset their passwords where you can always define the user authentication configurations.

1. What is the difference between SAP NetWeaver Developer Workplace & SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio. Which area JDI (Java Developer Infrastructure) fall in.
2. Is SAP NetWeaver Developer Workplace & SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
are tool for Enterprise Portal development/customizing Only or can you use also use to customize XI/BW/SRM etc..applications.

To answer your third question, No, NetWeaver Developer Studio (NDS) isn't to replace ABAP or ABAP workbench. NDS helps in creating Java based applications to compliment with the ABAP programs and enable them accessible via the Enterprise Portal. ABAP would stay to be the primary development language for SAP systems. The newest version of NetWeaver software also come with an option of ABAP stack where in you can develop web based applications (accessible via the portal) using ABAP

Even some time back i have faced the issue when ever i click on dislplay infocube or Transfer rulesor DSO
The session used to terminate
After investigation i found it is authorization issue
ask you security team to investigate on this like switching on the trace and find what object is missing
and also try with T-codes like RSA11,RSA12,RSA14,RSA15 instead trying RSA1 Directely
these are individual transactions for each screen in RSA1 like
infoarea,infoobject...

We are doing implementation of SAP xRPM, and have some Integration Scenario with MS Access for our client
Some SAP tables need to update tables in MS Access Database, by workflow. We have done the workflow for testing purposes,
But need to know how SAP tables fields can update MS Access table fields.

IDOC and RFC sent by SAP PI , how to access in ECC.

I have been working in SAP PI but have never handled the ECC part of the implementation.
Till now I have only dropped idoc or RFC to the ECC system and let the further processing to the target team.
But in new project the further processing part also we have to handle.
So could you please tell me, for any idoc (say ORDERS) once PI drops it at ECC , where to access it ? which table? for further processing of that data in ECC? Same for RFC?

Dilip, as soon as the system ECC receives IDOC file, IDOCs are created. For further processing
1. ALE attributes (BD51) must be defined.
2. Then Partner profile (WE20) must be active for the partner(vendor/customer) and message
(ORDERS/DESADV) combination which exists in IDOC control record.
3. If you want to manually process IDOC in test or dev system you can use test tool (WE19).
4. To monitor created IDOCs you can use WE02/WE05.
5. You can use tables EDIDC, EDID4, EDIDS to view IDOC info.
6. Also you can go to corresponding tcode to see the posted document.

SAP GRC AC ARM -Access Request approval

Dear Community Members,
my question relates to practice advise in respect to risk analysis type on access request.
Can anybody share experience with type of analysis on access request.
According to SAP HELP we have: In the Analysis Type dropdown list, select the relevant analysis type.
You use Risk Analysis to determine violations pertaining to the authorizations assigned to the role. For example, when the authorizations result in segregation of duties violations.
You use Impact Analysis to determine authorization violations pertaining to other roles. That is, the authorizations for the selected role, in combination with authorizations for another role, result in violations
In particular I am interested when I have requested Role A and Role B with both creates SoD risks, would this be catch by access risk analysis during request creation? Assuming user have no role at backend.

Hi Filip,
Yes, your understanding is correct.
Risk analysis in the access request is intended to find out any sorts of risks associated to the roles in the request inaddition to the roles assigned to the user already.
When Risk analysis is performed, it will take into account all roles which are added to request and show the correct results.
You can also run the simulation to see what will happen if the role is assigned to user beforehand.

SAP systems for public access with OSS ID

Hi, experts,
I heard that there is a community in SDN which allow users to access SAP systems (such as CRM, XI/PI, etc.) to test and try things.
(1) Is that true ? What is the URL ?
If not, is there any site for public access to SAP systems with or w/o fees ?
(2) Is there Test Drive for XI/PI ? Could not locate it under downloads.

As far as I know there is no such site with public OSS ID and free XI test drive.
But you will get plenty of material from SDN.

SAP IDM 7.1 ACCESS DENIED accessing the IDM interface

Hello,
I have finished configuring my IDM 7.1 . But when i try to access to the IDM webpage it gives me
ACCESS DENIED
SERVICE IS DOWN .
And this happens despite I have gave to the user all the authorizations of the installation guide.
I tried even the function ADD USER into the identity store but still no success.
Someone of you experienced the same issue?

however your input was useful . My problem was related to the JDBC configuration . I have deleted and recreated completely the jdbc connection .
After that the error went away. I faced another error telling me " No identity stores defined for workflow" .
I used this link creating another Identity Store and everything went good.

SAP delivered A2X Service access

In the communication arrangement (in Application & User Management WoC) view, there are only six predefined communication arrangements defined. Presumably, those CAs do not cover the access for all the A2X services listed.
Question: How could we access some of these Web Services for which a CA has not been maintained? An example of such a Web Service: ManageProductionBillOfMaterialIn.

Hi Prashantha,
one important aspect to mention is that all of the listed A2X services require an approval process before they can be used by a customer or partner. The reason begin , that they are not yet part of the PSM (Public Solution Model) and therefore there is now guarantee that they will not change in the future.
If you have a project that requires access to a specific WebService please follow the approval process as described in the link that you have provided.
Having said that I cannot see the web service ManageProductionBillOfMaterialIn that you mention in your question.

SAP Role to limit access to few ledger accounts

I have created a SAP role which has Display access to FAGLB03 using pfcg.
I want to restrict this role only to a certain number of Ledger accounts.
Say like XXXX5, XXXX17, XXXX23. XXXX45 etc;
Can we restrict using any Authorization object?

I would suggest you to make a use of Authorization Group in GL Master
F_BKPF_BES
I have create one role ZFAGLBO3, in which T.Code FAGLBO3 is authorized, and users are assigned to this role ZFAGLBO3, now all these users can access all the GL by t.code FAGLBO3, but except for few GLs, in which I have entered Authorization Object "OTHG". So your reqirement was to restrict few GLs in roles, which can be met by using Authorization Object F_BKPF_BES.
In above role you can see highlighted object F_BKPF_BES, have NIL value against BRGRU.
Now I have created one test user, who have this role ZFAGLBO3.
See the results:
All GL master don't have authorization objects, so this user can display the balances.

Note: These user can't display balances in FAGLB03 for few GLs, which is your requirement, that I understand. Just add the any authorization Groups in GL master in this case i have entered in one GL "OTHG", see below snapshot:
When these users of profile "ZFAGLBO3" try to display balances of few GLs who have Authorization Group field filled in master data, system will give below error:

There are probably many ways to achieve what you´re looking for. It heavily depends on several factors, which solution turns out to be the best for you. You should take into account security, data integrity and sensitivty, business context and system architecture, among others.
First of all though, you should specify wheter you want to access the SAP table for unidirectional read access only, or if you have the requirement to also update data in any SAP table (are you talking about a SAP standard table or a customer Z-table?)
If you´re looking for a straight forward solution for read-only access, you can create a custom Z* RFC-enabled function module that reads out your SAP table and returns the values to your calling application. You could also use the WebServices interfaces of your SAP WebApplicationServer, depending on your release level. Furthermore, kindly check, if there are standard BAPI´s available that contain the data you need in their return parameters.
Of course, you also could directly interface on a DBMS level between MS access and your underlying SAP DB, but most likely such a solution will never be supported in any productive environment, and for good reason. So you should look into one of the other options mentioned.
I´ll gladly provide more detail about any of the mentioned approaches, but would like to have a little more input about your requirements before, so the optimal solutions can be found.

Link between SAP Ztables and MS-ACCESS database via XI

Hi All,
I have two application one is in Ms-Access and other is in SAP . I have to link the SAP ztables to the MS-Access databse, is this be done with via XI. If yes, do i need to write the interface programs while fetching the data from the XI to SAP, or XI will take care of the updation and linking between the SAP and access application , since the cross flow of data between two application will be there .

It is possible with XI, of course.
You can use jdbc as sender at the MS-Access end and at R/3 (as reciever) you can have an RFC to put the data into the tables.
There is no need of interface programming to be done manually.
you have to be clear at what condition the synchronizations should happen and there is more enhancements that could be done.
