ESA & IEA envelop customization

Hi all,
I have a C160 for ESA and a C370 (AsyncOS 6.5.2.1) for IEA and I want to modify the envelop in the outgoing mails.  I specificly want to change the default's attach name (senderdoc.html) for another, someone knows how I can make this?.
Regards,
Guzmán

Hello Guzmán,
the envelope can only be modified on the IEA, there is a template folder where the secure envelope markup file is present. I am not sure if you can actually change the name of the envelope file though, anyways, when you encrypt messages, do you use an encryption profile on the ESAs (C160,C370), or just a filter to send messages flagged for encryption to the IEA?
Regards,
Andreas

  • Customize Envelope.html in one C series

I have send encrypted emails in my C-350 Series. I have an IEA to manage my own pages, an customize the websafe portals.
My problem is with the envelope.html, because i onle can customize the logos in the page, that is taken of the IEA, but i have to translate the text, and change the colors, etc.
Whe the IEA do the encrypt action, the envelope that recive the final user look how i want, but when i use the the C Series to do the encrypt action, i only can customize the logos.
Any one know how i can to change the default envelope.html in C-Seres.
    Thanks.

You can create a new envelope message by using the Text Resources.
Go to Mail Policies, Text Resources and add a new template. Add a Envelope Notification Template.
    Happy New Year.
    Andy
Thank you Andy, and happy new year too for you.
The problem that i have is with the securedoc.html, the attachment. I can not customize the information, only the logos when i use the c- Series as encription system. But when i use the IEA, and i change the envelope.html, the securedoc.html attachments looks like i need.
Thanks you newly, an best regards.

  • HP OfficeJet 6500A all in one Printer . No European size envelopes apart from C6 on the printer.

We have the OfficeJet 6500A All In One Printer. It is on a network to two computers one using Windows Vista and the other Windows7.
It seems strange that the only size of envelope for the European Market is a C6. There is no facility for customising a DL or C5 which are the other two popular sizes of envelopes. We cannot customize from either computer. We have tried altering the specifications of other envelopes listed for the printer but to no avail. Has anyone got a solution to this problem or are we going to have to wait for HP to upgrade the printer programme. Word Perfect Office X4 is the word procesing programme in use plus a basic Microsft  Word that is OEM.

    Hi jspin3,
I'd like to help.  For now, I would hold off on the uninstall and reinstall.  Can you answer some questions?
Is the printer connected by USB, Ethernet or wireless?
Do you get any error messages?
Does a blank page come out or do no pages come out when you try to print from the computer?
If you put a document face down on the scanner glass, are you able to make a photocopy?
Can you estimate the ink levels, in percent full for each cartridge, by looking at the printer ink gauge?  Click Here
If you print a  Self Test Report,  do all of the colors print?
Also, remember a click on the Kudos star to the left is a quick "Thanks" for a helpful post.

  • Printing envelope not formatted correctly on custom size 8.75 by 5.75

Printers and All-In-Ones running win 7 64 bit, officejet 8600 pro all update current, In works 2007 word processor or 2011 Hallmark card progam.  downloaded latest driver and reinstalled same (deleted original dr and rebooted first). Envelope is correctly positioned, address prints at top of flap side return address is missing.  On plain paper (8.5X11) test print, address & return address appears to be in correct position.

I have the same problem with the same size paper (aka Invitation or Statement size), and have an additional problem with printing to the corresponding envelope size which is a Standard A9 (5.75"x8.75"). These are both standard size papers for the U.S. and are used in printing wedding invitations. I don't understand why there are programmed sizes for Japanese stationary, but not for all standard U.S. size formats (that will fit in the main feed tray) or the ability to create a Custom Size format.
Because these features weren't available, I ended up paying a local printer to print my New Year's cards (an expense I wasn't anticipating that equaled half the purchase price of the printer). And, since I can't print on the envelopes I will need to print labels, which I was hoping to avoid because I hate applying labels to envelopes.
HP, please update the software to allow customers to print to all appropriate Standard Size US formats or allow for customization, otherwise my next printer will be purchased from a manufacturer that does provide this ability.

  • Access to XI SOAP envelope - How to?

    Hello there,
Is it possible to get access and manipulate the Standard SOAP envelope headers internally used by XI? Does XI supports this functionality/customization?
I would like to enrich/enhance the XI SOAP headers with some own context data to be used later for end-to-end monitoring outside XI.
    Thanks for your feedback.
    Cheers,

Thanks Anupam and Jenny for your kind response.
I am wrking on PI 7.0. I dnt want soap envelope in payload so I have already checked the 'Do not create response' button still in response message I am getting the soap envelope.
I can use java or xslt but the the structure is not able to read the soap envelope. To read it I need to create same data structure which matches with the soap envelope.
this is the response I am getting through webservice.

  • Return Address on Printing Envelopes

Hi, thought I'd try the built-in envelope printing feature in Address Book and found another anomaly. The return address will combine your address and the spouse entry - OK. But, I've found that it also adds in the father entry. Interestingly, it doesn't add in the brother or mother entry.
This generates the same anomaly if you select your own name to print an envelope, adding not only your spouse's entry, but your father's name as well.
I guess it's back to struggling with Word to print envelopes, but it would be nice if Apple would clean-up/debug printing envelopes within the Address Book. It's so unlike Apple to mess up something so simple.

    Thanks for the reply.
I went into Address Book (no option to create a new Address Book record in Mail that I could find) and created a new record with just my name and home address. I marked this as My Card (I guessed this is what you meant by make this my home address). I selected Print from File menu in another Address Book record. I clicked on Label tab in Envelopes option, selected my home address. I could see no option to select a different return address, although I did see the other font and color options.
By creating a simpler, duplicate record for myself, I can certainly fake out Address Book and print an envelope. But that's not my point. I could as simply use another application (Word or a dedicated envelopes application, for example) and work through its quirks as well. My point is if Apple is going to allow multiple addresses and names of family members in an Address Book record, I should be able to use them. I've already learned how to waste 20 minutes configuring Word to print an envelope. In an Apple database designed specifically for Addresses, with a selection to print envelopes, it should be no more difficult than selecting specific addresses, envelope dimensions, and print orientation to get it right the first time with no fuss. Being able to modify font sizes, color, drag a graphic on the envelope for customization would be nice, but the fundamentals need to work first.
I posted this question here to find out if anyone else has experienced my issue, confirming this bug in the Address Book, or more hopefully pointing out that I completely missed some not-so-obvious selection that was causing my printing layout problem. Since no one has, I guess the bug stands.
I'm disappointed because when I saw this functionality pointed out today in an online article, I thought I now had a way to stop having to refigure out how to print envelopes in Word three or four times a year when I need to send out a birthday card. It was when I went to try this Address Book feature out that I found it appending my father's name to my return address.
I guess I feel let down. It's a minor issue, and I can certainly create a temporary address to work around it, but it's disappointing that I have to.

  • Outbound EDI missing envelope segment

Outbound EDI file is missing envelope segment (ISA,GS,GE AND IEA). Input xml is getting processed successfully. However, the outbound EDI is missing the envelope segment. My vendor says he needs envelope segement. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help.
    Satya

    Satya,
Does it still still use transaction set ecs to validate the input file? or, does B2B use .xsd for validating the input edi xml file?In case of EDI, it is ecs always which is used for translation and validation (if translation and validation is enabled in agreement). XSD is only used for proving integration with back-end middleware. You may validate it by providing ecs only as part of document definition and enabling validation & translation in the agreement.
Could this be the reason for not generating the envelope segment? The only reason why there is no envelope segments could be an invalid ecs.
You mentioned that our ecs file is not valid. However, all seems to work without any issue except for envelope segment. When I say invalid then it means improper structure of ecs and that's why I pointed you to refer the sample ecs which comes as part of installation itself. You may match your ecs with that sample ecs and easily figure out the differences. Oracle B2B is already pre-seeded with interchange and group ecs and hence transaction set ecs must not contain these two parts. It should have only transaction set (ST to SE) defined in it. In case you have any specific requirement then ONLY you should override interchange and group ecs at respective settings in document definition otherwise you should go ahead with pre-seeded (actually standard) Group and Interchange ecs files.
This document may be useful for you, if you have not gone through it yet -

  • Printing envelopes from address book

I want to send out letters to family so I want to print envelopes out of my address book except the name comes up as the contact (first and last name) and then the spouse and all the children after the last name. Is there any way to change the display name on the envelope?

I'm not sure if there's a way to change that within address book, but you could always use the free EasyEnvelopes dashboard widget to customize the text of an envelope.

  • Printing address labels & envelopes

I am trying to print an envelope from a contact card; I can't figure out where to customize/define what I want printed.
It includes the child's name and I don't know how to remove that from the envelope.

Sorry, but as you were told in your previous post on the subject, you cannot remove fields from the print layout in Address Book. AB just doesn't allow that level of customization. If you don't want to have the child's name printed, you'd have to remove the name from the contact card, or export the address data to some other application (Pages, for instance) and customize the envelope printout there.

  • How many license do I need with a cluster of 2x ESA?

    Hi there,
I would like to implement a cluster of 2x Cisco IronPort ESA appliances in an Active/Active manner.
It requires 4000 mail users, so how many license on each ESA appliance do I need to install? I suppose 2000 on each ESA.
When one of the ESA fails, is it possible for the remaining one to handle the load of 4000 users?
I am pretty new to this field. Please help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Tuan, CCIE #26930

    Dear Tuan,
For 4000 user size, you can purchase a dual appliance bundle with 1, 3 or 5 year license with 4000 mailbox licenses. You will be given 2 x C370 with Centralized Management license (together with licenses of your bundled feature set).
You can run both in active/active configuration. With centralized management license, both can be formed as a cluster and you can manage the cluster configuration over web interface of one of the appliances.
Regarding whether one unit can handle the load, it will depend on your traffic load (peak message per hour, average message size, antispam, antivirus, outbreak filter, DLP, encryption, content filters, etc.). In my experience, one C370 should be able to handle traffic of similar size enterprise.
With SenderBase reputation filtering, you should already throttle/block 90+% of bad traffic coming from poor/bad reputation IP hosts. You can also make sure of the new AsyncOS 7.6 'rate limit for envelope sender' to throttle mass mailing attack of same sender (also internal outbreak emails).
Please get in touch with your partner for the details and they can also show you a demo. You can also get a evaluation unit from our partner to put it live. We can configure IronPort to be almost transparent on top of your existing mail gateway/server to prove its performance, antispam efficacy and other email security features.
    Cheers,
    Tommy

  • ESA: outbound messages

    Hello,
We've deployed ESA in out customer network.
All incomming connection comes to ESA, ESA queries LDAP (Route Query) and reroutes messages to specific servers (mailhost attribute).
In our SMTP Routes no entries.
    Incomming messages works fine.
But outgoing not. Problem is that we need t send all outgoing messages to specific relay. We cannot use DNS.
So when i add smtp route (All Other Domains) i got situation when all incomming messages goes to the server specified in SMTP Route. However in message tracking i see that ESA got mailhost attribute from LDAP.
    Who can explain, please?

    Hi Sergey,
I think the two key points are highlighted/underlined below. I took this information from the Advance Guide.
    https://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/esa/esa7.6/ESA_7.6_AdvancedGuide.pdf
    SMTP Routes Overview
The SMTP Routes table is read from the top down for every email delivery.
Otherwise, the system performs a regular MX lookup on the domain of the Envelope Recipient.
    Default SMTP Route
You can also define a default SMTP route with the special keyword ALL. If a domain does not match a previous mapping in the SMTP Routes list, it defaults to being redirected to the MX host specified by the ALL entry

  • Update issues when ESA Virtual replacing C170 Appliance in Cluster Config

I have opened a TAC ticket on this one but was curious if any others experienced the same issue.
I have C170s in Centralized ClusterConfig. I recently learned about the Virtual ESAs after reading about the EOL for C170s in a few years. I think the Virtual ESAs will add a lot of flexibility. The only issue I've noticed was trying to join Virtual ESAs to our Cluster are updates so far.
The first virtual ESA I brought up I was able to initially update it so it could join the cluster. I thought maybe I messed up the network config somewhere. So after messing with it over the Weekend and opening a TAC case with Cisco. I thought I would try configuring the second Virtual ESA. Sure enough updates are working, and no errors. Hooked it up enough to do some quick testing to make sure the listeners were working. Feeling pretty good about it, I join the cluster. Everything copied over configuration wise, I also setup a new ClusterGroup for the Virtual ESAs so I could customize the listeners and interfaces. Before I got too crazy I quickly realized that my updates stop working on the second virtual appliance.
So just curious if there are some configuration compatibility issues between appliance hardware and Virtual we should be aware of. I found some great information from the Forums about forcing updates and reading the tail of the updater_logs, which produced the following:
Info: Dynamic manifest fetch failure: Received invalid update manifest response
I found the fix for non-cluster configured Virtuals for this Update error:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/email-security-appliance/118065-maintainandoperate-esa-00.html
But  this does not for for clusterconfig.
So is my best course of action to:
run the clusterconfig on one of my virtuals,
Remove Virtual from ClusterConfig after config is migrated
Apply CLI fix to point post-cluster config Virtual so it now points to the right update servers
Create new cluster with the now fully Updating Virtual-Uno ESA
Join Remaining virtuals to the newly created cluster and phase out the old physical cluster?
Obviously I left out all the fine details about MX records, IP addresses, Central Reporting and Spam and outbreak reporting. Just want to make sure I'm not missing something, maybe tare down the old clusterconfig first, set it to point to the update servers in the article above. Then I can phase out my old physicals later on down the line as they break down over time and avoid configuring two clusters for every rule change.

So it looks like I have found the answer to my own question. Looks like the fix in the following article does apply to Virtual ESA in a cluster.
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/email-security-appliance/118065-maintainandoperate-esa-00.html
Some things I'd like to figure out is, will this change stick, will new virtual nodes pick up the incorrect update URL when I join them to the cluster? I made the changes and all my hosts seem to be updating fine. Will wait and see how well they do over the next few days and let them bake in a little before I push e-mail through them.
