  • ESB METADATA ISSUES WHILE DEPLOYING ESB SERVICE GROUPS AND SERVICES

    Customer has SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 with MLR#8.
    We have 2 separate SOA based integrations being shipped to the customer which
    he can install together. The 2 integrations share a ESB service group called
    "EBS" under which some ESb services are registered.
    One of the integration was installed/deployed on the SOA server successfully
    and the services were running successfully.
    When the second integration was installed, it gave some errors while
    deploying/registering the common ESB service group and the ESB services under
    it.

    The customer tried bouncing the SOA server and the SOA db as well before

  • What is difference between ESB Service and ESB Service Group

    Guys please tell me What is difference between ESB System and ESB Service Group and when we use them, i mean in what condition.
    Many Thanks

    The use of these is explained in the ESB developers guide along with some examples in what case to use them. See: http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28211/esb_jdev.htm#sthref167

  • ESB Services nor Default System not showing up in ESB console

    We are running SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 and the services within the ESB console are not showing up immediately after logging into the console. I have verified that the credentials
    within the esb_paramater table are correct. We have also increased the amount of max cursors on the DB. Is there something else
    that we can try to get those services up and running?

    So you can ping and nslookup from your ms to these agents and vice versa right?  I wouldn't do a manual install, I would push the agent from the management server.  You can uninstall the agent manually, or use cleanmom to get rid of them.  Then
    do an install from the console.  When you initiate the install from the console (management server), should it run into any issues it will dump out an error which will give you an idea of where the problem may be.
    From Holmans post on this:

  • Unable to get the BPEL process in esb console

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue with code generated using artifact generator in FP 2.4.
    When I deploy a Provider ABCS process(generated through artifcat generator), it does not appear in the BPEL system of my esb console because of which i am not able to create a routing service for that BPEL process in my ESB.
    I am able to find only those bpel processes in the esb console which are not generated through artifact generator.
    kindly suggest what can be done.

    Hi GPR,
    I assume there are no compilation errors and you are able to deloy the process successfully. Do you see any errors in the log file while deploying the process? You may want to check the $SOA_HOME/opmn/logs/default~oc4j_soa~xxx.log file.
    Do you see the process in BPEL Console and able to unit-test it?

  • Unable to change ESB Soap Service endpoint

    Hi people , i have a problem,
    after creating a soap service , register de esb service on DefaultSystem, i want to call externally using
    "http://host:port/esb/wsil/DefaultSystem/<name of soap service>?wsdl
    everithing works ok , but when i try to change from Jdeveloper the enpoint URL , ESB seems to keep using the old URL in :
    http://host:port/event/DefaultSystem/<name of soap service>?WSDL ..
    If i check on esb control i can se the new "WSDL URL" on the Definition tab of this soap service. But internally in the WSDL generated by the ESB endpoint it keeps using the OLD URL
    causing obviously a:
    "SOAPException: Message send failed: Connection refused"
    if i make that resource unavailable after the change
    The question is .. why i cant change the endpoint url ????
    theres is any WSDL cache or something like in Oracle BPEL PM ??
    i need to restart (i dont try yet )
    please ill wait for any suggestions
    PS: im using ESB 10.1.3.3.0 Build:PCBPEL_10.1.3.3.0_GENERIC_070615.0525

    Hi
    I have similar problems and nobody seems to know the solution. Changing the virtual host and port in ESB console does not resolve the problem thoroughly. It's changing the end point entry but living the namespace URL of the WSDL with old value, for instance my address was: http://localhost.localdomain:8889/ .....servicename?WSDL.
    This prevents it from proper invoking by external clients, you can reach the end point and use the test page but you can't read its wsdl file without adjusting its address by hand.
    I found one solution, it's reinstalling the OAS from scratch and pass the proper name of the server when prompted but what the kind of solution is that? This is obviously deployment problem, the original wsdl file prepared in JDeveloper is used to generate the final wsdl file exposed to external clients but which is the configuration file responsible for that and why the esb console don't change the namespace url too while changing end point?
    This is the bug indeed because it's impossible to resolve from console level.

  • END point URL for ESB Routing service says NOT FOUND

    Hi All,
    For the routing services in ESB, The link of WSDL is opening up fine, but the link of endpoint URI for the routing service is failing with the message below message. When i invoke the WSDL using SOAP UI, i get back the the same error message. I tried bouncing the server , but of no help. I also notice that slide directory ESB_Projects gives 404 error on any browser.
    So when i click below url for any of the routing service
    http://<hostname>:<port>/event/<systemName>/<serviceGroupName>/AddressStandardizeRS
    I get below error in browser-
    Not Found
    The requested URL /event/<System Name>/<Service Group Name>/<Routing Service Name> was not found on this server.
    Oracle-Application-Server-10g/10.1.3.1.0 Oracle-HTTP-Server Server at odevsoa.local1.wbcgp.com Port 7777

    Check if the port of ESB in your server is open.
    I think that the port is: 7777
    try from ESB server:
    wget WSDLURI
    if you got the file then the port is closed.

  • Problem with ESB routing service

    I have an ESB project that has a routing service to route a request message to 2 separate web services depending on some particular content in the message.
    simple classic content-based routing.
    i built a prototype on my local virtual machine, it worked fine.
    now i am building the real project at the client site, it is not working. here is some of the things i found;
    in my working prototype, after i deploy the ESB project into OC4J, i can see that a web service end point is created for me on esb-rt application in oc4j, with a port like "__soap_myrouting_execute_ppt", and it would be the entry point to my routing service;
    but in the other environment, after i deploy the ESB project, there is nothing created under esb-rt;
    in my working prototype, if i go into ESB console, under the "definition" tab of my routing service, i can click on the "concrete WSDL URL" and it gives me the wsdl for the routing service;
    but in the other environment, when i click on the "concrete WSDL URL", it shows an error page in my browser, "The XML page cannot be displayed ... XML document must have a top level element";
    i suppose this is because the esb-rt port has not been created properly and hence the wsdl is not there to be viewed.
    can anyone help with this or give me some direction as to where to look for logs for more details.
    thanks!

    after a bit of hunting on the BPEL server, i managed to get some detailed error from j2ee log;
    it's consistent with my observation and i know what's wrong with it, it's the <server name> pointing to a wrong place
    it should be pointing to our dev server but this logged detail shows it's pointing to out UAT server for some reason;
    I don't know how it ended up like this, but can someone tell me how to fix it? thanks.

  • ESB Console turns Request/Response message into One Way message

    Hi folks,
    have come across a strange situation and wondered if anyone else had come across this. Maybe it's fixed as part of a patch set.
    I'm running SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0 on Windows.
    After I've created and deployed a Request/Response service (either RS or SOAP Invocation Service) if I go to the ESB Console and click on "Apply" in say the Definition tab, my service turns into a One Way service.
    This then causes null pointer exceptions when I run my process, as you might expect.
    If I redeploy from JDev and leave the "Apply" button alone I'm back in business.
    Is this something that anyone else has had a problem with?

    Hi.
    I would recommend you to install version 10.1.3.3 of SOA Suite
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/ias/10133/ias_windows_x86_101330.zip
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/linux/ias/10133/ias_linux_x86_101330.zip
    Also, use the JDev 10.1.3.3
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jdev/htdocs/soft10133.html
    They are supposed to be much more stable.
    After using the new release, let us know if you still run into this problem.

  • How to generate a Web Service Proxy for an ESB Routing Service?

    Hi,
    I have a SOAP service behind an ESB Routing Service. I am aware that i can call this ESB Service at the SOAP endpoint which can be found at the ESB Console after registration.
    But, i want to invoke this service using a Web Service Proxy. My understanding is that, i need to use the WSDL generated for the ESB Routing Service to generate the proxy. The WSDL which can be seen in JDeveloper does not have any soap bindings and hence the tool does not allow me to generate any proxy.
    Also, the two WSDLs whose URLs can be found at the ESB Console do not have the soap endpoint properties.
    Can someone help me out on the same?
    Thanks and regards,
    Priya.

    Priya,
    Just take the SOAP endpoint and suffix it with a ?wsdl
    Even the Concrete WSDL endpoint should be having a SOAP endpoint.

  • Significance of ESB Systems and Groups

    Hi,
    Other than organizing things better what are the true functionalities of ESB Systems and Groups? Having services in seperate systems/groups enables me to deploy them on seperate ESB Instances? Are there any performance benefits by limiting number of services in a System/Group?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    ESB systems are the lowest level unit of scalability (just made that up). You can apply services in a group to different clusters/rt servers and define different async jms topics to route the message through. So anything in an ESB can be segmented to scale up as needed.

  • DefaultSystem on ESB Console missing

    Greetings
    I am working on installing and doing a config of SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0 on XP and am getting an error on the ESB Console. It shows up blank.
    I have Oracle XE and Oracle Designer installed and have unset ORACLE_HOME before doing any install. I have also removed the oracle lines from the path variable just to see if it was having any effect. Ihave installed and reinstall multiples times trying both basic and advanced installs. Thanks for your reply. I went ahead and did a re-install of the oraesb repository. No errors reported. Then I restarted the processes. Log output is below. Still nothing in the ESB Console. When I go to services and do a refresh, i.e. click on the refresh button, it hangs.
    Just to see what happens I went back into JDev and tried to deploy the CustomerData project. In connections, I first tested the App Server and the Intergration server and made a successful connection. So next came an attempt to Register with ESB. JDev returned the following:

  • ESB Routing service based upon XSD contains reference to localhost

    Hello,
    I've created the following simple ESB scenario and run into some behaviour which I can't explain.
    - Create a ESB project
    - Import a XSD definition file
    - Create a routing service based upon the XSD definition file (Generate WSDL From schemas)
    - Deploy the ESB project to the ESB server (on a different machine)
    So far, so good
    Go to the ESB Console, click on the created Routing Service, go to the Definition tab and click on the Concrete WSDL URL.
    In the service part a 'localhost' reference appears, which results in an error when running the routing service.
    <service name="execute_pptService">
    <port name="__esb_RoutingTest_execute_ppt" binding="tns:__esb_RoutingTest_execute_ppt" />
    <port name="__soap_RoutingTest_execute_ppt" binding="tns:__soap_RoutingTest_execute_ppt">
    <soap:address xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/"
    location="http://localhost:8888/event/TEST/RoutingTest" />
    </port>
    </service>
    This definition appears in the ..routing..esbsvc file. When I change in this file 'localhost' to the server IP address and redeploy the ESB project, the server IP address is replaced to 'localhost' by JDeveloper.
    What causes this behaviour and how can I avoid it?
    Regards Leon

    I enabled "validate payload at runtime" option in the definition.
    The instance erred out and I got the below payload in the Error tab.
