ESHM - Task process of an action

Hello,
I used the BOPF EHFND_ACTION to create an action and I started the workflow with the actions CREATE_PC_BO_ROOT. It is ok but I do not have all the informations saved. I need to underline the process status. Here is an example
When I clicked on "In process", I have the detailed information.
I tried to use the BOPF EHHSS_PROC_CTRL_INC_ACTION and EHFND_PROC_SETUP to have the informations but right now, the detailed information is empty.
Could you please give me suggestions?
Marie-Josée

Hi
Webdynpro Callable Object context of 1 DC cannot be retrieved to another DC until and unless it is mentioned in interface controller and also in public part.
If you are talking about to pass context data to another callable object, simply define the output parameter of source object and map it to target callable object at design time. And then you can get context data in execute method of target callable object.
Thanks

  • How can I localize the text of process names, task names and user actions within a process?

I'm very interested in using the capabilities of Adobe LiveCycle Process Management for my project, however I have one rather large concern...   I hope someone here can tell me whether there's a way to address it.
Since I work for the Government of Canada, I have to meet certain requirements relating to bilingualism of the user interface.  It's my understanding that the Workspace portion of LiveCycle has already has support for French.
But what about the design of my processes?  How can I display text to a user in the language of their choice when they're interacting with my processes? ... in particular, I'm thinking about the process name, task names, and user actions.
I hope that this is possible without too much pain.  I imagine this must be a pretty common requirement!
Thanks in advance to all who respond.

You can completely change the content of whole pdf by using "renderPDFForm" operation under service "FormsService". in this operation there is Template category where you can set the Locale.
And if you need to change the other workspace options like Complete, Save as Draft , you can then import workspace ui project and then change apppropriate values.

  • How to assign default values to "Start task process" SPD2013 action

I am creating a task in SPD 2013 list workflow using the "Start a task process" action. I have the ContentTypeId field set as i need to have some specific fields to be displayed in the task form.
Is there anyway to assign values to these fields?. My goal here is to fetch some values from the "currentItem" fields and display in the Task form during the approval. So that the Approvar don't need to go and see the actual list item.

    Hi,
If you would like to display fields about current item in Task form, please click
    these user in Workflow, and
Start a Task Process dialog pops out. Then click Open editor for body >
Add or Change Look up, then you could retrieve field data.

  • SPD Workflow Task Process Action - Cancel on first rejection

I have a task process action that sends a task to some managers (in paralell).
I want this task process to end if any of these persons rejects the task. This was possible in SPD 2010 wf, but i can not find any reference on how to manage this in a 2013 style workflow.

    Hi Mikael,
You can Set the Completion Criteria to Wait for specific response, Required Outcome to Rejected,Default Outcome to Approved:

  • Start a Task Process Action in SPD 2013 does not expand SharePoint Groups

I created a site workflow in SPD 2013, and added a "start a task process".  I specified that the participants would be a group, the tasks would be created in parallel and "Assign a task to each member with groups" is checked.
I did check after the fact that "ExpandGroup" is "Yes" in the properties.
However, when executed, the group gets assigned a task, not individual users within the group.
I have seen other postings where others have the same issue, but no resolutions besides MS is investigating.  Is this some issue with my setup?  I have tried this in multiple environments with the same results.

    Hi  wangsy101,
According  to your description, you create a workflow with “Start a task process” in SharePoint 2013 Designer, and the participants was a group, and you had make sure that the “ExpandGroup” was “Yes”. However, when executed, the workflow didn’t assign
the task to individual users within the group.
I reproduced the process, and in my testing , everything worked well.
When you start the workflow and view the workflow, you will see the Assigned to field is the group. And when you open the related tasks, you will note that there are some new tasks related to individual users within the group. It  means that the “ExpandGroup”
    works correctly.
If the issue still exists, please create an approval workflow  with SharePoint 2010 Designer platform, and set the same configuration to test.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • To Complete the task without taking complete action in BPM worklist.

In my project ,there is one requirement that to complete the task without taking complete action in BPM worklist.
So I am trying to acheive this using JAva API of BPM worklist.
For that I have followed the approach given in below link
    http://technology.amis.nl/2007/02/invoking-bpel-worklist-api-from-remote-server-with-java/
Created java application and imported all the required libraries and jars.
while running this application it is giving following error
    NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/j2ee/ws/common/jaxws/ServiceDelegateImpl
This is due to absence of 'ServiceDelegateImpl.class' which should be present in webclient.jar ,
I have also added the same jar from jdeveloper\webservices\lib folder.
but the thing is ServiceDelegateImpl class is missing in webclient.jar.
I have downloaded the same jar from internet and tried various versions also.
    still the problem persists.
Which jar should I add ? or any other configutation is required ?
    Am I following correct approach?
Any suggestions on other approach would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Marc,
You can set the task Process Owner (i.e. TaskProcessOwner) to the group which Bowman and
Laura belong to from SharePoint Designer, then they should be able to complete the re-assigned task.

  • SharePoint Designer Reuse Field Data from Prior Task Process

So, I have a SP2013 WF. One of the actions in the WF is to "Assign a Task Action" to permit any one of the assignees (yes, it's going to multiple people) to Approve, Reject, or Request Clarification on the item. I've added a text field to the
custom content type called "Approval Comments" where I would like whichever approver completes the task to provide information, but must especially if the Outcome is "Request Clarification"... But of course, since Task Actions don't have
a workflow variable that tracks the "Task ID" of the action (I assume this is because there are as many WF tasks created as there are participants in the request, so there isn't any single ID related to the WF), I can't have the WF do a lookup to
the WF Task and find the comments associated with the task. I also don't have any way to push the contents of that field back into the list item being approved. Surely, there is some magical way I can filter the workflow tasks list and somehow find the relevant
item without the risk of having multiple hits...isn't there??? I really don't remember things being so incredibly difficult in SP2010 workflow tasks...

    Hi,
For your issue, you can refer to the actions as below:
    1.Create a Parallel Block.
2.Ceate a Loop with condition: Variable: Outcome
    equals
    Request Clarification.
3.Assign a task to an approver using Assign a task action.
4.Repeat 2,3 steps for other approvers.
By this way, you can get the Task ID and loop approving process while task outcome equals Request Clarification.

  • How to abort tasks in a Dynamic Action when apex.confirm = Cancel

I have a text field that has a Dynamic Action attached to it. When the field is changed, the Dynamic Action fires. There are 6 separate tasks in that Dynamic Action.
The very first task is a call to apex.confirm. I want to make sure that the user understand the implications of changing the value in this field. So, up pops the dialog, the user reads the information, and decides to click OK or Cancel.
If OK is clicked, I want to continue through the rest of the tasks in the Dynamic Action. If CANCEL is clicked, I want to just abort out of the Dynamic Action.
    Is that possible?
    Apex 4.1.1.00.23
Edited by: Mark T. on Mar 1, 2012 9:49 AM

Yes, I do see a different behavior.
I've set up an app on apex.oracle.com, #60312. Workspace is mavericksolutions. Login pwolf. Password A1B2C3 change on first login.
The first field is tied to a dynamic action. The first task in the DA is an apex.confirm. Type something into the first field then click TAB to bring up the dialog box. Whether I click OK or click CANCEL, the 2nd task is still occurring. It appears that the only difference is that if I click OK, I also get a submit of the page.
What I want, in fact, is twofold:
    1. If I click CANCEL, then STOP the execution of the remainder of the tasks in the Dynamic Action.
    2. If I click OK, go ahead and process the rest of the tasks in the Dynamic Action, but DO NOT SUBMIT.
Basically, I want to ask the user if it's OK to go ahead and make the on-screen changes, but I do NOT want to do an auto-save. I want the user to look at the results on the screen and click the actual SAVE (or CREATE) button after ensuring their accuracy. Right now, it appears that the apex.confirm is firing a page submit when I click OK (the fields get cleared out). I don't want that page submit.
I THINK I can accomplish goal #1 with a workaround, by splitting the DA into two pieces. Piece #1 would have only the confirmation dialog. Piece #2 would be fired from the same field change, would have a sequence number AFTER piece #1, and would be conditional on the value of the expression returned by the apex.confirm. So if the apex.confirm returned 'DOTHIS' when I click OK, I would look to see if Expression = DOTHIS for piece #2. If not, then piece #2 wouldn't fire.
The remaining trouble, then, is that if I click OK to fire piece #2, the page submit will subsequently fire following the completion of piece #2. And no matter what, I definitely do NOT want a page submit. Is there a function similar to apex.confirm that does not do a page submit?
Anyway, take a look at the app. It's not performing the way that I anticipated, which is the same behavior that you described. I expected that it would do exactly what you said. Alas...

  • Avoid Duplicate Tasks when Expanding Groups for Custom Task Process

    Is there a way to:
Avoid Duplicate Tasks when Expanding Groups for Custom Task Process?
I've got a people metadata column that I am planning on putting groups into.  I want the groups to expand and send a task for all users in the groups.  I also want to avoid creating multiple tasks if a user happens to be in two groups at the same
    time.
I'm trying to work out a way to assign users a read task based on job training requirements.  Right now assigning groups and using a workflow task to confirm read is what I'm trying to accomplish.  I just end up getting two tasks for a user if
    their in multiple groups.

    Hi David,
    Please verify the followings:
After Participants, select Parallel(all at a once)
Expand Task Options, select ‘Assign a task to each member within groups’
Open the action properties, make sure ExpandGroup is Yes
Also in SharePoint Designer ,you can edit the property for the Start Approval Porcess to enable ExpandGroup:

  • Missing Editor for Cancel Email in Start a Task Process object

I'm using SPD 2013 and the 'Start a task process' object in a list workflow.  I've successfully modified the Task Creation email, but when someone completes the task, others in the group receive the default task cancelled email and I cannot find an

I can go to properties to view the CancelationEmailbody field, but there is no way to add or change lookup fields.

    Hi,
As I understand, you are using SharePoint designer worfklow on 2013 platform and you would like to edit cancelation email body for task process.
From my experience, there is no OOB option for you to edit cancelation email body. Since workflow 2013 is different from 2010, task forms are auto-generated based upon a certain Content Type. As workaround, I'd recommend you using approval workflow on 2010
platform. In addition, you could try codeplex 2013 approval workflow, please check the link below:

  • Send 'Reason for Rejection' from Task Process back to User

I have a SharePoint 2013 workflow that uses "Start a task process" to get approval for documents in a library. On the task list, I have a field named 'reason for rejection' that the approvers would complete if they're going to reject the document.
When the document is rejected the workflow sends an email back to the person who created the document. Is it possible to somehow include the reason for rejection in the email? If not, is there some other solution for getting this information back to
them (other than just saying to contact the approvers)?

    Hi Andrea_2,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want the email which is sent by workflow after the document is rejected to contain the field "reason for rejection".
Instead of adding the field into the email which is sent after the document is rejected, I suggest you add an "Send email" action when a single task is rejected, and make the mail is sent to the creator of the document.
You can do as the followings:
Open the workflow with SharePoint Designer 2013.
Open and edit the workflow, then click "Approval(**)".
Click "Change the behavior of a single task"
In the "When a task completes" scetion, add a "Send email" action in the ELSE IF branch, like the screenshot below:

    Hi,
By design in SharePoint, if there is a user reject the task, the task outcome will become to Rejected.
If you want to end workflow once one user reject the task, you need to change the workflow action as below:
Then when the first one reject the task, the action will be completed and the task outcome will become to Rejected.

  • Start a Task Process assigns tasks in the reverse order

    Hello,
I am using SPD2013 and Sharepoint 2013 Online.
I am using 'Start a Task Process' using  people from the Person or Group Lookup column that allows multiple selections.
For some reason, the 'Start a Task Process' action assigns the participants in the reverse order. I am currently assigning the participants using...
    'Workflow Lookup for a User'
    Data Source: Current Item
Field from Source: the Person/Group Lookup
Return Field as: Display Name; Semicolon Delimited.
The problem is not isolated to just one workflow, but all workflows in the sharepoint site. I tried deleting the workflow and remaking it but I am still having the same problem.
The tasks are assigned as expected if I don't use 'Workflow lookup for a User."
Has anyone run into this issue before? Thanks for all of your help.

    Hi CalvinKwon,
How did you set the participants when the workflow work as expect? Set users one by one?
Are you using “Serial(one at a time)” or “Parallel(all at once)” for assigning tasks?
I did a test and found that:
If I used “Serial(one at a time)” , the order of assigning task is random regardless of using “'Workflow lookup for a User” or one by one.
If I used “Parallel(all at once)”, the order of assigning task is right regardless of using “'Workflow lookup for a User” or one by one.
I could not reproduce this issue on my SharePoint On-premise, it seems to only happen on SharePoint Online.
Please test with “Start Approval Process” action using SharePoint 2010 platform.
And as this issue is about SharePoint Online, I suggest you create a new thread on Office 365 forum. The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly
