ESS 1.41 Voluntary Enrollment UI Personalization

We need to hide a field on the Voluntary Retirement screen.  Is it part of the Enrollment WD app.
If it is part of the enrollment app what is the application parameter to set it to Voluntary Enrollmnent

Hello Sir,
I don't recall this UI, but what you can do to hide a field without having to modify any code is to use the personlization feature.
Go to Content Admin, select the Iview that you want to modify, ctrl+right click and hide the field.

  • ESS Webdynpro – Benefits – Open Enrollment

    We currently have the ITS application for benefits open enrollment (PZ14) up and running. We are trying to setup the Webdynpro service for Open Enrollment.
    We are on ECC 6.0, EP 7.0 latest SPs and we are using XSS 600 webdynpro Software Components.
    Problem:
    When we click on Open Enrollment service (Webdynpro), the following message comes up:
    “No plan selections could be prepared for the specified enrollment reason. Contact your Benefits Administrator for assistance”.
    The same service works fine with the ITS service for the same PERNR. The ITS service is able to show up the Open Enrollment without any problem.
    Even if I include an entry in Infotype 0378 – Adjustment Reasons, the new enrollment reason can be seen under the ITS Service but not under the webdynpro service.
    Is there any additional customization (configuration) required for the Webdynpro Service for Open Enrollment.

  • ESS - Skip a Road Map Step for Select Beneficiaries

    Hello Frnds,
    We have a requirement in ESS - Benifits & Payments --> Open Enrollment.
    If you select any of the Insurance Plan and either Add/Edit Plan then in next screen we will get a Select Beneficiaries button and if we click it, then it takes us to a sub step 1b which allows users to Select their Beneficiaries. We want to skip it. Is there any way ?
    Is there any config ?

    If this is needed only on the portal side, there is no other IMG config in ESS that can control this.
    You can try 2 options:
    1. Enhancements on Function Module: HR_BEN_ESS_SCREEN_CTRL_INSURE (for insurance plans related modifications).  Look at SCREEN_CTRL in debugging mode. 
    2. Web dynpro personalization - In this case it can get a bit tricky.
    Option 1 might be a better bet as you might want to limit this only for certain plans.

    Our ECC version is 5.0.
    We deployed SAP_ESS  100 SP21 
                          SAP_MSS  100 SP21 
                          SAPPCUI_GP  100 SP21 
                          BP_ERP4ESS  60.2 SP0 
                          BP_ERP4MSS  60.1 SP1
    I configured SSO and JCO correctly, but In PCD only overview ivew is coming for
    all application( for ex travel only overview iview is coming child ivew is missing ).
    For MSS all iviews are coming.
    Kindly suggest me what to do.(I stuck on this point).

    Kindly help me why ivews (only overview is coming for all application) for ESS is not coming in PCD.
    Overview is working but I have requirement to give customer
    only iview for my trips and expenses.
    I created iview using SC but the link inside (create expense ) is not working
    What I planned if I will get standard  Iview for My trips and expenses then I will copy this to my own
    ESS role and I will do personalization according to my customer.
    But I am not getting the standard ivew itself.

  • "Edit Personal Profile" - ESS Benefits

    Hi
    We have a requirement to open the "Edit Personal Profile" in ESS Benefits "New Hire Enrollment" (GAF) in place rather opening in external window. I changed the property in the launchpad ESS/MENU for the "Personal Profile" under Benefits Enrollment to Force Inplace or Inplace but it is not taking effect in portal. Still opens in the external window. Am I missing something or it is handled by the code? Any suggestions would help.

    typically its meant to launch a new window 1926925 - READ_ONLY_PERSONAL_PROFILE in ESS Benefit Enrollment WDA its coded in the code, so above changes wont take effect in ESS/MENU Webdynpro component:HRESS_C_BEN_ENRL_CONFIG met:ON_EDITCLICK ls_parameter-value = 'EXTERNAL'. change it to ls_parameter-value = 'EXT_HEAD' in both the places. check here if you can get more information on this http://scn.sap.com/thread/3508230

  • Insurance benefit enrollment service not displaying Alternative Coverage

    I am using service sap.com/ess~ben for benefits enrollment.  I have set up an employee life insurance plan that has an enrollment limit of 250,000 before evidence of insurance is required.  In the evidence of insurance configuration I have action 3 Create active record for biggest jump set.  When an employee enrolls for more than 250,000 an insurance record is created with an Insurance coverage amount equal to the value enrolled and an alternative amount of 250,000, which is the EOI limit.  The problem is that service displays the insurance coverage amount and the cost based on that amount instead of the alternative coverage amount and the cost for that amount. 
    Can the benefit service sap.com/ess~ben be set up to display the coverage and cost from the alternative coverage field instead of the Insurance coverage field?

    The problem appears to be the deduction model (thanks Sarah).  I have to do more testing to confirm this and will let you know whether it resolves it.  (I will also award the'Forum Points' at that time, depending on the results of my testing.)

  • ESS - Attestation

    Hi All,
    We are currently using ESS for Benefits Open Enrollment.  Due to current health care reform in the US, HR has requested we create a popup when the employee clicks on Enrollment.  The popup would contain a statement that the employee is providing true and accurate information.  Prior to proceeding to Enrollment, the employee must click on a radio button to indicate he has read and agrees with the statement.  If he agrees, he can proceed to enroll.  If not, then the service is canceled.  HR would like to maintain a copy of the signed agreement in the employeeu2019s file.
    We are planning to create a custom infotype to store the signed agreement data, but need assistance and/or ideas on how to handle the portal solution.  We do not want to modify standard SAP if possible.  Has anyone else run into this type of request.  If so, what was your solution?
    We are using ECC 6.0.

    The only thing i can think of is to create rules that auto add users to groups based on a title field or their manager field from their user definition profile. Then you could perform attestation against these groups to make sure the correct users are a member of them.

  • Copying personalization

    Hello Everyone,
    I'm curious if there is a way to copy personalization from one iView to the other.  In my particular case, I am modifying ESS Address iViews using the WD Personalization feature available in EP since SP10.  The problem is that within ESS every country has its very own iView and I would thus have to maintain each country's personalization individually (very time consuming!).  I was wondering if anyone knows if I can somehow maintain this personalization in one iView and then "copy" it to all the rest?  Thanks in advance!

  • ESS- Open Enrollment quick link - no plan selections

    I've enabled the Open Enrollment Quick link in Benefits and Payment.  When I execute it, I get the error message
    "No plan selections could be prepared for the specified enrollment reason. Contact your Benefits Administrator for assistance"
    R/3 and ITS both display the enrollment plan choices without an adjustment reason of OPEN.  Why can't the Portal ESS find them?

    This is pretty old but still for the people who will be visiting to this thread just like I did.
    We had a same issue... I have checked Web Dynpro java application for benefits enrollment and it shows this message when it has ZERO plans to show in open enrollment.
    Then I did debugging in ECC Function modules and found why it is not sending any benefit plans even though user has them in Info type 168 (insurance plans).
    It could be any reason for plans not to populate, our reason was user have Vol Spouse Life insurance and Voluntary Child Life Insurance but they dont have Spouse and/or Child records in Info type 21.
    So, this error will show up when there are ZERO plans / records to show in portal. Find your issue why by debugging.

  • ESS Benefits Generic Enrollment - Different behavior backend v/s portal

    We are using the ESS Benefits generic enrollment service for enrollment kicking off the adjustment reasons on IT 0378.
    Here is the configuration set up, trying to simplify to explain the matter. We are on ECC 6.0 with EHP2.
    1.  Configured one plan type in savings category.
    2.  Within this plan type,  configured 2 plans.
    3.  Configured all other related configuration to set up the 2 plans.
    4. Configured the adjustment reason and the appropriate plan type created in step 2.
    5.  Created the required adjustment reason on 378.
    In HRBEN0001 transaction via backendwe can  see the 2 plans configured within the plan type.
    But when Trying to enroll from ESS - only one plan can be seen for that plan type, the other plan is not shown at all.
    OK - eventually, debugged and found this piece of code in FM HR_BEN_ESS_FILL_SELECTION_DISP.  The 2 different plans are there until this piece of code takes one of them Off...

    Thanks for your reply. Yes ESS has its own FMs.  The UI, user exits, BADIs etc are different for backend v/s front end.
    What we are not clear with, is the different behavior in core functionality --  i.e. When the adjustment reason is processed from the backend using HRBEN0001 - The 2 plans within the Plan Type are available for elections. BUT the same adjustment reason for the same penr when processed from  ESS - there is just one plan available for elections.
    It's clear from the code, that it is deleting one plan and this code is within the FM which is called only from ESS.  But we are still not sure why it should behave differently i.e. 2 plans via backend v/s one plan  via ESS. 
    Wanted to see if anyone can share any information if they have a similar benefits set up .. 2 plans within one plan type FOR savings plan category and then having a adjustment reason set up.

    This is regarding a SAP HR implementation for US.
    Open Enrollment Service is giving a dump with error
    u201CNo Correct Adjustment Reason Specifiedu201D.
    Following has been checked, still unable to view it in ESS.
    u2022     Employees are configured for running Open Enrollment for employees.
    u2022     Employees are assigned to appropriate PA and PSA. Country grouping for both the employees is USA: 10.
    u2022     Maintained appropriate data in Infotype 0171(General Benefits Information). Correct benefit program grouping is done for both employees ie maintained first and second program grouping for both employees.
    u2022     Maintained Benefit Adjustment Reasons for both the employee i.e. Infotype 0378(Adjustment Reason Data).
    u2022     Maintained Open Enrollment Offer for employees between 09.13.2008 and 10.13.2008. (MM/DD/YYYY).
    u2022     Program HRBEN001 is running correctly in backend. Both employees are able to choose different benefit plans during the open enrollment period.
    u2022     User  is having SAP_ALL authorizations.
    u2022     Resources and Services are correctly defined and linked in the backend.
    u2022     HR_BEN_ESS_RFC_ENRO_REASONS is a SAP defined function module to fetch benefit data from Benefit module and post it to ESS internal tables. Testing it in the background using transaction se37 gives correct results in the backend. It is displaying Open Enrollment as one of the Benefit Reasons.
    Kindly help with any pointers at the earliest.

  • ESS - Benefits - Open enrollment  (Concurrent employment is enabled)

    We are trying to set up ESS open enrollment. After adding/editing/changing plans --> review enrollment --> Save.
    On saving, getting an error "rfc_error_system_failure" on the ESS screen.
    Checked with ST22 for the error details. The name of runtime error is "uncaught exception" and the exception is "CX_HRPA_VIOLATED_PRECONDITION". 
    Based on a  Similar thread on the forums --> Link : [Re: CX_HRPA_VIOLATED_PRECONDITION using HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION to insert rec; and Sap note #  493984  , the error seems to be related with concurrent empoyment.
    Analysis:
    1. If CE is disabled, there is no error - open enrollment works fine both in R/3 (HRBEN0001) and via ESS
    2. If CE is enabled," open enrollment" in R/3 using HRBEN0001 - there is no error.
    3. Error occurs only when "open enrollment" is accessed through ESS, when CE is enabled.
    Would like to know if some one can share their experience on using ESS open enrollment when CE is switched on?
    Version details: ECC 6.0 (support pack level 22 for SAP-HR and EA-HR), EP 7.0 , ESS BP 1.0

  • Ess webdynpro java iview personalization problem

    Hi,
    we have a problem with the personalization dialog of the ESS-WebDynpro JAVA Applications (f.e. CATS, WhoISWho, Adress...) which the end user gets with Ctrl-Right mouseclick.
    Our portal and HCM Backend use language "DE" (Germany). The personalization dialog ist shown always in english. Is ist possible to change the language of the personalization dialog ?

    If you set the language as DE for the User performing the Personalisation and if you get all the portal standard menu in DE,  then it should show the personalisation  Dialog in DE.
    I had the same issue for Korean Language and i Did the personalisation successfully (text chage for Korean)
    so i think it should work for you case also.

  • ESS Services Personalization not reflecting in Quality Portal

    Hi Experts,
    Need some help on the the issues we are facing in quality Portal.
    In ESS, we have country specific services and we have done the Personalization of country specific Iviews in Dev Portal and tested with all the Country specificTest User Id's and it is working fine.
    Now, we have transported the content to Quality.
    In Quality Portal we have different User ID's specific to each country.
    When testing in Quality the Personalization changes are not getting reflected.
    What could be the issue..?
    Is there anything that we are missing to do in the backend..?
    Please provide some inputs.
