Hi Bharat,
If you are asking about the front end screens, then each country has it own DC,say for example,US addres application has a DC called 'essusaddr', similarly Japan will have a DC 'essjpaddr'.

My client is implementing ESS in R/3 4.6 and portal 6
Currently we are implementing Address Change functionality.
The issue is:
In R/3 Address Infotype for US we are not using the field County, and it is enabled.
But we are getting this field in portal as input field.
They dont want this field in portal in Address screen.
Even in PZ02 transaction we are getting this field as input field.

Hi Abdul,
Its a generic table for ESS Screens.
If I remember correctly, when there is no entry maintained in this table, you need to maintain it manually for your specific Molga and Infotype.

I need to stimulate a user for an ESS Address Change Process

Heres some background.. We want Hourly people to put data in Corporate Internal Site and have it execute the front end ESS process (there are only 4 processes to build). We want the salaried population to go directly to ESS and execute the same process. We want the same process and workflow for both groups to be the same as the end state.
Let me give you an example how I see this working Process = Employee fills out address change, which triggers several more processes in workflow downstream.
Normal ESS would say (For Salaried).. they log on ESS and fill out form and SAP processes execute workflow through a human flow of processes before the database does final update.
For Hourly, they go to Corporate Internal Site and fill out adobe form.   I need the outcome of that form to simulate an ESS portal process.. just as if the employee had signed on to ESS and did it online. I need the outcome of that form to load to the PORTAL front end ESS.
     That means I need you to simulate an employee logon (so security and OM routing is read for that employee). Assume that employee id is also employee password.
     And create an employee sign on.. then load an address change record, and when save is simulated.. the normal ESS process executes the workflow for the process to continue ...
Goal is both data collections work the same. . What I don't want is two processes for the same event. I don't want a front end and a back end process for ESS.
How can I do that using XI connector?

I can see how it'd be possible to copy of one user's info into another's folder by temporarily changing ownership permissions. This would get you to your "start her out with all the same...." point.
itunes/iphoto libraries would be straightforward, as you've found - sharing documents too.
It can be done - but if you'll forgive me - I'll wait a day or so in case someone posts an easy- no playing with permissions-solution that saves you a lot of hassle.
Another option is to set up a "video editing" user that you use when you want a clear desktop/no other programs loaded etc environment. You can enable fast user switching in sys prefs-accounts - so it's really no bother to change quickly; & have your various video stuff easily accessible to you - yet switch back almost instantly to a normal account with mail/safari etc all running. This may be a better idea if your editing needs loads of memory & pushes the processor to near it's limit.

GT,
First check acustomer in 'XD04' which has got some change doc history. See all changes in XD04 for that customer.
Then go to CDHDR table,
OBJECTCLAS = 'DEBI'.
OBJECTID = Customer Number (10 digit with 0 padding).
UDATE = Update/change date (Take from XD04).
Run the table & put the same values in CDPOS along with the CDHDR-CHANGENR & get the field wise changes in Customer with new & old values.

Ship-to address changes on customer master not updating orders

We have recently noticed that ship-to address changes on the customer master made with XD02 no longer show up on existing standard orders. Similar changes to the sold-to addresses do show up but no tthe ship-to addresses. Does anyone know how we can resolve this problem?

the adresses of a partner is
- with reference to the master-data ( if unchanges in the Order )
- of copied in the order and then changed and saved onlyy for the order.
in the first case, a change of the main data will effect a change in the order.
in the second case, the change of the main data will not change the order, data - they are separate.
you can see this in se16 / table vbpa.
look at the adressnumber.
Adressnumbers of 9++++ are of the 2nd - manual type.
I guess, in the ship to partner, there is done a manual change in the order.
in solt to data normally you don't need such a change. therfor the sold-to partner will get the changes of masterdata -- the ship to partner has manual adress of the orden.

I have cretaed sales order and processed it with one customer.Created Delivery and posted goods issue.
After that I have changed the address of the customer and noticed that the adress is changed in the processed order also.
I would to like to know what is base intension of this.

Dear Nagi,
All Customer Address are stored in a central table - ADRC.
Infact this ADRC is the Master Table of all addresses in system (It is used for addresses of Customer, Vendors, other Business Partner, etc)
So any change you make in Customer Master Record in XD02 / VD02 it would change the entry in the ADRC & would show this effect in all the past documents also (like Sales Orders / Deliveries, etc).
This is SAP standard & you cannot change it.
Address details are only exception here. Rest all other data like payment terms, Condition record data are document specific. Meaning once the Document is created & saved any change in the Master Record would not impact the aleready processed documents.
Alternatively you can change the Customer Address while processing Sales Order:
VA02 - Double Click on Customer code & you will go to Header - partner screen.
Here once again click on required Partner code & you will go to Address screen. Here you can change the address (which is proposed from Customer Master record). This address change in Sales Order would be applicable only for the particular Sales Order & its subsequent documents. The Master Record would not be changed.

Change Customer Address format with specific customer group

Dear all,
May I ask is it possible to change customer address fomat for a specified customer group or Company code only.
Normally, the format is Street, City and Country. for a special cusomer group, i wan to change the format to street , street 2, street 3 and street 4.
Is it possible to change the format without affect other cusomer group and also not affect Vendor address format?
I have seached in the format, some discussions provides method to change address format by country. But no discussion mention about change cusomer specified customer group only.
Can anyone advise?

1.By changing field status in it account groups through transaction code OBD2.
2. In transaction code OB21 for company code.

Customer Address change on the Open orders

We are unable to make a customer address change on the customer whenever an open order exists with the customer, is it intended functionality? Is there any workaround available to update the customer info whenever an open order exists.

Customer address change: Audit issue

Hi All,
Although address is the only feild of customer master which if you change then the change is immediately effected in all preceeding and sussequent docs. Now the issus is:
A plant address changed and after 6 months when audit is been carried out and auditor printed invoice dated 7 months back then it came with new address of plant. He immediately raised an issue on this. Now although he was explained the technical behaviour of the address feild but functionally his issue cannnot be denied.
How do we handle and explain this. Is there any way that old address is assesed and used using some user exits. I mean to say validity period wise maintenance of addresses??????

We would like to change the default / delivered text in the SAP delivered ESS form "Change Permanent Address".
Currently it seems to translate very poorly from German to English.
How do we alter the "change permanent address" text...specifically the part that that reads" ... in so10?

Plant Address Changing [Replaced by Customer Address]

Dear Experts,
I am facing the problem of Plant Address Changing automatically.
It is taking the address of the Customer.
and when i am changing the address of the plant, system is changing the address of Customer in sales and distribution.
After changing the customer address again system is taking customer address for the plant.
Please suggest me the solution on the issue.

this seems to be correct if your plant is a Retail Site and the customer is a Retail Customer.
In that case, yes it is true that both are sharing the same address.
The vendor could also be in that case.
Start transaction WB02, open the plant and check if the customer is related.
Technically speaking,
ADRC-ADDRNUM = KNA1-ADRNR = T001W-ADRNR
and
T001W-KUNNR = KNA1-KUNNR
and/or T001W-LIFNR = LFA1-LIFNR
Some other relations also exists.
I'm not sure there is a solution from the transaction to remove such link.
But from a technical perspective, broke the above links and remove the useless ADRV links could be enough.
I would suggest that you open a SAP customer message in market place to let experts investigate before changing any data.

ESS Address Required Field Web Dynpro

Hi,
Trying to make a field on the ESS Address screen mandatory. Viewed the Web Dynpro Java Code and updated the label to required - which put the * next to the label on the screen, however I cannot see where the validation check exists.
Do I have to validate the code in web dynpro and if so where or is it a ABAP issue?
Have read in other postings (e.g. Re: ESS Web dynpro for portugal) that the required fields can be updating in the table V_T588MFPROPC. I'm unsure if this is correct as a required field 'City' does not exist in this table, which is a mandatory field. Also what values should I enter and how is the error message format created?

Setting the attribute of field as required will only add a * mark in front of it.

Hi,
Login to portal with a user having content administration role.
Navigate to your iview which must be under content provide by SAP(if its a standard iview).
Open the iview and click on preview button.
Then press ctr on keyboard and rightmouseclick on the field for which you want to change.
A popup will open. Change the visibility in the popup and save the changes. This is a way of personalization and it'll be applicable for all the users.

Regarding ESS Addresses application

Hi,
We are using EP 7.0 and implemented ESS/MSS.
Now they have activated Com01, Num01 fields of Infotype 6(Adresses).
But these fields are not visible in the Addresses application of ESS.
For example if I add these entries in Permanent address type, these fields are not displayed in Portal,
Is there any configuration available in the ECC to make these fields visible in portal ESS application also since these fields are standard or do we need to go for customization.
Any idea on this will be highly appreciated.

In order to add the required fields in the ESS Addresses application, we need to add those fields in the following structure of the country specific function module HRXSS_PER_EDIT_P0006_XX where XX u2013 defines the country code(say de- germany, fr-france)
Structure: HCMT_BSP_PA_XX_R0006 where again XX u2013 defines the country code
After changing the structure you need to restart the portal for this to reflect and use the below mentioned link.

After that you need to enhance the BADI HRPAD00INFTYUI for the input conversion ans output conversion.
