ESS and Phase Indicator at Each Service is not a straight line

Hi All,
I have a rather unusual problem and I have wondering if anyone else has encountered the same and what you did to correct it. Each of the ESS services has the Phase Indicator (I believe that is what it is called) at the top that denotes which step the user is at while updating a service.
For example, the address service has four phases (Overview, Edit, Review and Save, and Confirmation). The indicator that our users are at is highligted (as it should be), but it is also broken away from the other phases in that there is not a straight line from the phases that are gray to and from the phase the associate is currently at.
Has anyone ever encountered this?

this is how it is in all the services but I guess if you are finding is too different then an OSS note would be of help.

I think u forgot to set the environment variables for JAVA.
After installing java u have to set environment variables.
Right click on my computers->properties->advanced->environment variables
here u will get two variables user variable,system variable
Goto uservariable press new button
u will get a popup with two fields
variable name: JAVA_HOME u have type
variable value:u have to specify the jre path(in which drive u installed)

Google and all of its related services are not showing as a secure and pictures are being blocked.

I was forced to add manual exception to even use Google search AND Google email but pictures are still being blocked in Google search. The first 12 pictures will show but the rest only reflect a broken square in the top left corner of where the image preview should be. When I click on the blanks- it shows the picture but I can't work efficiently that way. How do I remove the block on images until the issue can be corrected in another update?
Google Chrome was doing the same thing (blocking images from trusted MAJOR sites like Facebook and Twitter but considering its own material secure). Chrome did not allow a user to control if the images could show and I switched to Firefox as a result. Please fix this. Thanks!

All I had to do was update my clock time and it fixed the issue. My clock was showing December 6, 2014 as the date. Sorry. You can consider this resolved, Thank you!

The SCOM reporting service is not starting and SCOM RMS is grey.

I have performed an activity in my environment related to password change of all SCOM accounts. I referred to the blogs mentioned below :

What I did to perform the same, I just do as written in the second blog. I started assigning different roles and service to different users, removing SCOM users from those place. Later on,when all the SCOM users are replaced by the new different user, I
changed the password of the SCOM account from AD. Now I tried to repeat the same steps to put back the scom accounts in place as they were earlier. But now, the server is unavailable and grayed out. Reporting service is not getting started.
All the discoveries have stopped working. There is a flood of event ID 1102 in the event viewer.
What should I do to get the services and working of SCOM in place. Please your help.

Below is where you need to enter these it is same for SCOM 2007 R2 / 2012 / 2012 R2.
Below are the account mappings:
Data Warehouse Action Account - is for the Data writer account.
(scom_dw)
Data Warehouse Report Deployment Account - is for the Data reader account
(scom_dr)
The one which is blacked out in the screenshot will be the main SCOM Action account. (scom_ac)
On the action account change the Account display name as well. (Display name is it will just show outside where i have blacked out my Action account)

Gain and phase margins from simulation data

Dear forum members,
Is it possible to display the Gain and Phase Margins from a Control and Simulation Loop ?
I have a simple SISO control loop (P+I controller) and this is subject to a unit step input. I can display the output response graph via a Collector but cannot figure out how to display the Gain and Phase Margins from within the Control and Simulation Loop.
I note that there is a CD Gain and Phase Margin.vi that looks like what I need since it provides Gain and Phase Margin output however I cannot figure out how to interconnect this vi to what I have in the Control and Simulation Loop.
If anyone can assist or provide guidance it would be appreciated.

Is your simulation linear or nonlinear ? You mention it is has a PI controller (linear without saturation / anti-windup), but not the simulated process being controlled.
Gain and phase margin work on linear *models*, not on the data that a simulation loop produces.
If you have a nonlinear model it will need to be linearised about an operating point first.
Remember - use the open loop system (control and process) to calculate the gain and phase margin, but they give the stability of the closed loop system.

thank you for your response.
Just another question: you say "It's indicated that listed services are not published" but I don't understand where it's indicated.
For example in documentation Javadoc_PAPI_SAPME_150, package com.sap.me.common, ObjectResolverServiceInterface and DynamicInvocationServiceInterface are documented in the same way and I don't see any indication that says if the interface is published as WS or not.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Mail on my iphone will not send any messages. I have followed the Apple instructions and still it won't work, even after resetting my iphone. My email provider is BT.

To Avoid Relaying:
If you are sending an email from, say, [email protected], but the return address is [email protected], that is relaying (you are using y.com's servers to send an email where the email "originates" from b.com). Many servers don't allow relaying to prevent spamming.
To make this work go into the email account settings, tap the account "button" that has your email address, go to the Advanced section in "Mail" if there is one, then go to "Outgoing Mail Server", tap it, and then tap "Primary Server", and in the Outgoing Mail Server enter your user name and password. It may say optional, but you need this.
Not all services provide this and the sequence of buttons I describe above may not be exactly the same for each address (look around if different). If you can't set the user name and password, then that email service does not provide a way to get around relaying.

Intel RST Service is Not Working

Hi guys, I'm hoping you can help me with this error message that I noticed on my Toshiba laptop.
Yesterday, when I was editing a video (less than 2 GB in size), my laptop just shut down without any warning. I didn't have any other applications running, nor web browsers open, except Windows Live Movie Maker.
As I was saving the edited video, I could hear the fan inside the laptop blowing really fast and the bottom of the laptop was quite warm (not hot).
I thought that my harddrive crashed. After the laptop shut down, I waited for about half hour before turning it back on. Thankfully it rebooted normally and it seems to be working ok. However, I noticed that in the system tray (see image to the left), there was an error message indicating "Intel RST Service is Not Working"
I looked online, as well as on this forum, to see if there were any solutions I could find. And I hope I can get this resolved before the issue escalates. I could not find the exact cause of the error, but the only solution I could find was to reinstall the Intel RST driver. Before I do so, I wanted to just confirm if this is indeed what I should do.
Can you please confirm that I should reinstall the Intel RST driver? If so, which one is the correct driver. I found the Intel Download Centre website below. Do I download the driver that reads "RAID: Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Driver for Intel® NUC" dated "12/2/2014" version "13.5.0.1056"?
My laptop details are as follows:
Model: Toshiba Satellite L500
Processor: Intel Core i3 CPU
System Type: 64-bit Operating System
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Windows Deployment Services will not start

After advertising a image to my remote client computer I receive this error:
PXE-T01: the specified file was not found
PXE-E3B: TFTP error - file not found
PXE-M0F: Exiting Broadcom PXE ROM
I logged into the server and noticed the "windows deployment service" is not running. I tried to start the service and it failed to start. I then checked the "Site System Status" log and noticed there was a "Critical" message for the PXE service point role,
and a "warning" message for the management point role.
On 8/16/10 for the PXE service point role I see this critical error: PXE Control Manager detected PXE service point is not responding to pxe requests. The error is 16389. Possible cause: pxe service point is not started or not responding.
I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

Thank you everyone for your patience and assistance. I have resolved the issue after double, and tripple checking everything. The problem was that the boot images (x64, and x86) were not pointed to SMSPXEIMAGES$ distribution which is the server share. I
pointed it to the Server only. After pointing to both the share, and the server all works fine.
So the initial issue with the deployment service not starting was to uninstall WDS, and the PXE option in SCCM. During the troubleshooting I accidently deleted the SMSPXEIMAGES$ distribution point from the boot image which caused another issue after resolving
the windows deployment problem.
Hope this helps the next person that has this issue.

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over the last few days, I assume that there has been a problem with Apple's servers.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that album and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

In Team also we want to hide services like employee working time (approve time sheet data), performance management, competency management, hcm process and forms, in recruitment (create new candidate assessment), organization
Please let me know where and how to hide these services in ESS and MSS

For hiding the links in both ESS and MSS, you need to make changes in Home Page Framework.
For this go to transaction SPRO and navigate to
Cross-Application Components - Home page Framework.
I suggest not to delete the standard one instead see and create new iView with new parameters.

Are admin and office clients always updated for each service pack.

I am investigating upgrading our BPC version from 7.0 SP3. The question I have been asked by my business clients is "do the admin and office clients of BPC always get updated with each service pack?" I assume they do because the install guide indicates that you must update them to the same version as the server. Upgrading the client versions is always a concern here because since we don't allow the automatic update our plans have to include packaging an SMS deployment to over 500 workstations of several different configurations and locations.

Yes, there are changes in the clients in every service pack. This is why it's important that the version of the client matches the version on the server. We've seen issues where there was a mismatch and no one could log in because of the changes in the client.
I would advise always updating the clients when adding a new service pack.

Std ESS and Custom Workset work together

Hi,
At a time, can i have Std ESS and Custom Workset for ESS work?
The navigation is not happening properly. When i click on a service in the custom workset, it navigates to Std. I can modify the pcd of each page and make this work fine, it's affecting the std,why?
I am making changes in Change Entries and not in Add Entries for the Page resource
but is this the right procedure?
To my userid i have the custom as well as the std role assigned.
Have hidden services from SPRO.
My purpose is to check the Std ESS and Custom ESS simultaneously.
Am i following the right procedure?

First of all why you need two set of roles, If you are using your own role then have a single
custom role assigned to the user, why have multiple as it is being redundant,
Its better to have clear roles defined and assigned!

1. Who's Who (ESS):
Selection and Output: In this node maintain country 40 (India) and you can maintain selection criteria for the search, output fields of the search result and detailed output of the search result.
If you delete any field from selection field list, that field will not be available for search. If you delete any field from Output field list, the same field will not be visible in the hit list. If you delete any field from output details, it will not be visible in the detail view of the employee.
2. Who's Who (ESS): Determine Document Type:
To display photo on ESS, determine the photo document type that is uploaded using archive link.
3. Who's Who (ESS): Maintain Settings:
Maintain options to display org chart, allow employee to maintain own photo etc
4. Who's Who (ESS): Refine Employee Search
For ESS, maintain group u201CESSu201D and Sem. Abbr. is the field that you want to restrict in the search result. It works as a filter. For eg: STAT2 = 3 gives results of active employees only. For any other field that you want to restrict maintain the field as Sem. Abbr and give the value which you want to filter.
Working Time

In this node, configure Leave request scenario.
Processing Processes
a. Create Rule Groups
There are 2 rule groups.
00000001: This is for all employees
00000005: This is for employee grades above F and G. This rule is for direct / self approval of leave
To decide which rule is to applied to the employee, maintain a feature WEBMO.
PERSG (Employee Group) is the decision field. If the value is u201CFu201D or u201CGu201D use rule group 5 else use rule group 1.
b. Define Processing Processes for Each Rule Group
Maintain entries as shown in the figure, for both rule groups.
C. Specify Processing Processes for Types of Leave
For each rule group, maintain all the leave types that you want to allow on ESS.
For eg: For rule 1, maintain Personal Sub grouping for time ( in this case 40 ), maintain all the leave / Attendance type ( like 0100, 0150, 0001 etc).
For employees, maintain all the leaves for rule group 1 and for self approval (for F and G) maintain all the leaves for rule group 5. When you maintain a leave, specify it needs an approval or not and if requires an approval maintain the workflow template to be used.
For direct approvals: Remove the workflow assigned.
Remove display field for next agent. This will not display approver in the ESS leave request.
d. Define Report Variants and Background Processing
To post approved requests, you have to create a background job which will execute program RPTARQPOST. This background job is responsible to post approved leaves in IT 2001. Create variants for program RPTARQPOST in PRD 436 client directly and create a background job in PRD.
2. Layout of the Web Application
a. Specify How Leave Is Displayed and Default Values
b. Specify Display of Absence Quotas
In this step you specify ES Grouping, PS grouping and Quota type for leave quota. Find out the combination from IT 2006
