ESS - Application Career & Job*** Data Overview

Dear experts-
I have a doubt with the service Data Overview , that show a form PDF, however not information of Telephone and address of the employee.
My question is:
1. What is the name of form used for this and where is configured?
2. I am checking the data of the employee in the infotype 0006 and the information of the Business partner for this employee and have the information.

Generally this type of problem occurs when the Portal Certifcate is expired, please check the validity of Certificate.

ESS: Career & Job , Skills..

Hi,
When i click on ESS->Career&Job-> Skills->Add New skill
->Select skill->Add changes->Review-> Save skills profile..
i get a msg before clicking Save Skills Profile as
To save the changes, choose Save Skills Profile. Your manager will then be notified of the changes.
and after i click the save skills profile, i get the error as :
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.modelimpl.dynamicrfc.WDDynamicRFCExecuteException: Screen output without connection to user., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
I want to know whether any workflow is there that i have to configure in the backend for the skills..
and what might be the cause of the above error..
How should i move forward to solve this problem..

The system was not accessible for a while. So I was not able to repond.
The user mapping is done and there is no issue with autherisation as well.

Job Posting Data Overview Form

Hi All,
In my job posting process there data overview tab where we see a PDF form coming up with all the data of Job posting.
I had to made changes to my standard smartform by copying it(HRRCF_DATA_SUMMARY_POSTING) into custom (Z) smartform " ZHRRCF_DATA_SUMMARY_POSTING".
Now i want to call my Z i.e., customize smartform in place of standard smartform.
Can you please where i need to make necessary changes to meet this requirement.

After Making an following entry in the table T77RCF_UI_PARAM, Z form is getting call in runtime.
BSP application parameter type Parameter
hrrcf_req_dovr SF_VIEW_POST ZHRRCF_DATA_SUMMARY_POSTING
but there is exception "CX_FP_API_REPOSITOR " in between where it checking the entry in the table FPCONTEXT in which its checking for the lnterface mean my Z form name , last date and last time.
And similar information from the table FPINTERFACE.
In both the table my Z form entry is missing.
But in this table there is no entry for my z forms and sysubrc gets 4 and exception is caught.
below is the code similar is for the FPINTERFACE.

Can Attachments be displayed in Job Postings Data Overview in E-recruiting?

Hi All,
Please advise if it is possible to have attachments displayed in the data overview of published job postings to be viewed via Web Dynpro applications e.g. apply direct for internal candidates to view the attachments as they are searching for jobs?
Any help and information will be greatly appreciated!

May I also clarify that in order for attachments to be displayed in the data overview ofpublished job postings for internal candidates (candidates point of view) via the web dynpro screens in the portal, programming will be required?
Currently, from the recruiter point of view, attachments in the requisitions are already available in the data overview of the job posting.

Issue in confirmation links for personal data ESS application (CA)

Hi All,
We have implemented EXIT button configuration for ESS applications and the Exit button along with 'Go to Home page' link is navigating to custom created page in portal.
The configuration done earlier for ESS applications like Address Update, Family Member/Dependents works fine.
We got a new service added (Personal data) & tried configuring the Exit button for this application also.
Some how the exit button doesnt seem working for Canada besides it working for US.
Please help in figuring out if there is any cause of the Exit button not working for personal data application for molga 07 specially. Adding to it, the links for confirmation screen are also not working for the same application

Its seems to be the Services exits that are county specific Services .........mease the Molga ( country Code ) is set for this services is "US"
That Y its working fine .....
But as per your REq you want this Services working for the Molga 07 ...
I thikn for this you need to set the Molga 07 in the contry specific home pages......
Then it will work fine

Area Career&Job disappeared (ESS implementation)

I'm Setting up ESS/MSS on EP 6.0 SP12 with ERP2004 on the backend.
Quick link for area Career&Job disappeared from ESS main page after portal restart, bookmark for page Career&Job still persists, but when I try to see services on this page I get the error:

Skill Profile Under Career & Job in ESS ERP2004

Hi
We are using ERP2004 & SAP EP sp14.
Under Career & Job workset of ESS Buisness package(60.2 for ESS)
when i click on the Skill Profile there are no content display.(a blank page)
but when i run the SkillApplication under
webdynpro content administrator sap.com/ess~skl
it's run and give the skill profile for the mapped user
so whats the problem. something missing?
how can i solved this problem

Not able to run apply_directly link on ESS Career&Job

Hi All,
When I click on "Apply Directly" link on Career&Job page, I get the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error message. But for example I can run "Skills Profile" link without any problem. So I think this is a customizing issue.
Any idea?

Is it a standard role or custom role you are testing.
Make sure Apply Directly has enduser permissions and check the PCD path in HomePage Framework configuration

I think you might have using SICF to test web service.
To test the same you need J2EE instance.
go to transaction
WSADMIN ->administrative settings and enter the j2ee server address (http://server.domain.com:port) and then click on your service and click test.
if you dont have a j2ee instance, you can use some free third party tools to test your WS.
goto this URL to get webservice studio.
It might be also due to one of the meta data connections are not working.
Please configure all ur _MetaData Jco connections with a User name and Password and test. Please dont use SAP Logon Ticket for _MetaData connections.

E-Recruiting 3.0 - Problem with emailing Candidate's Data Overview as .pdf

Not sure if I'm posting this to the correct forum, so please let me know if you suggest somewhere else to post.
I'm trying to make available the data overview for applicants to hiring managers by emailing the Data Overview .pdf to them. This is done while logged into the system via the web, and having the data overview open. One of the options is to email a copy of the .pdf, which is what I am choosing to do.
The email recipient can open up the .pdf file, but if there is an attachment to the overview (like a resume), the url link is incorrect, and the attached document cannot be retrieved. When I hover over the url, it starts out with "file:///sap....", when it should start out with "https://jobs.mphi.org/sap...."
When we originally testing this out months ago it did work. Not sure what has changed in the meantime causing this to no longer work. I'm hoping that someone else might have experienced the same or similar issue and would be able to assist me.

Well,
this is not a WebDynpro topic. The issue you have is quite clear.
The links within the PDF have a relative link. Because of this, you can only click on the links within the PDF while having it open in the web browser.
The only possibility to make the links available offline, is to modify. In this case you need to change the link generation to absolute links.
But besides that, sending data overview by mail is quite unsafe and a big security risk for handling of applicant privacy.

When we try to open the external candidate 'print preview' - Data overview for Candidate is not opening.
we are getting this error only for one candidate in production, rest for all the candidates - data overview is opening fine.
Error is: Error when generating the form for the data overview.

Hello BTM,
as Antje described there is a technical restriction on the maximum length of a field in a SMARTFORM and can't be directly changed. But your issue is not unique. At some time it is found in nearly every eRecruiting system.
The most common case is that a candidate copied his cover letter from MS Word into the eRecruiting application. In some cases layout information and other special characters are transformed into line breaks which causes the text to get very very long. More rarely you find candidates which actually have the urge to write a lot of pages for their cover letter or their work experience. The result is the same in both cases when the system tries to create the SMARTFORM the field exceeds the technical restrictions and you get the generation error.
My standard solution for this is to put a function into my data overviews to truncate texts which have the possibility to have this problem (cover letter, work experience description, education description, other qualifications). I truncate after a defined number of characters or a number of line breaks whatever comes first. I set the values as system parameters / values in a table of delivery type A so a system admin can change them quickly if necessary. Of course you could try to distribute the text to several fields but so far none of my customers thought this was necessary.

Please note that there is a hardcoded setting which is taken if there
is no entry in table V_T7XSSPERSUBTYP - so if you change the delivered
customizing in V_T591A it migh be neccessary to create an entry in
V_T7XSSPERSUBTYP.
