ESS CATS: Hide "Daily View" tab

Hi,
We are using ERP 2005, ESS BP 1.0. The ESS CATS has 2 views weekly and daily.
Is it possible to hide/disable Daily View tab..
I tried controlling this with the properties in data entry profiles.
It does not work and it gives errors.
Can anyone suggest me on this...!

1. Content administation > Portal Content > Content Provided by SAP >
End User Content > Employee Self-Service > iviews
2. Click 'Preview' on required iview
3. Click Ctrl + Right mouse to personalize the UI elements
Both Weekly and Daily views have to co-exist for the application to work
correctly.
So probably its not going to work, Try it

This is completely a front end thing. Not a back end configuration as far as my knowledge goes. You will have to work through the ess~cats DC and make the required modification through NWDI. I have done a decent amount of work on this DC though not specifically on ur requirement. Let me know if you require any more inputs on this

Enabling "Daily View" on Record Working Time iView

My company uses ESS Portal - Record working Time screen.
We only see Weekly view tab... is there a way to enable the Daily view tab...
how do I go about changing the iView for Daily View... any help is appreciated... I am new to portals so I need expert advise on this..

You need to implement BADI for this ..
BADI name : "PT_ABS_REQ"
In the BADI "PT_ABS_REQ" interface "IF_EX_PT_ABS_REQ" you can find the method
"SET_CALENDAR_COLOR" in that you can set the colure for the Absent type ......
Adjust Colors of Calendar and Team Calendar
Functionality
You can use this method to change the colors in the team calendar.
In the standard system, the different statuses for requests have different colors. You can use this method to differentiate the colors of requests depending on the following aspects:
Status of requests (status)
Action that an employee has executed: new request, delete, change (UIA operation)
Subtype of absence (SUBTY)
Full-day or partial-day absence (BEGMT, where BEGMT = 0 signifies a full-day absence)
Application mode ( mode). You specify the application mode in the Select Employees for the Team Calendar IMG activity.
Color Display of Status of Leave Requests(COLORS_ACTIVE). You specify this status in the Specify How Leave Is Displayed and Default Values IMG activity.
Available Colors
You have a choice of 16 colors. The 16 colors are hard coded, that is, you cannot change them or add other ones.
The available colors are stored with their RGB value as constants of the CL_PT_REQ_CONST class. Use these constants if you want to change the colors.
Notes
If you change the colors in the team calendar, you should also adapt the legend accordingly. You can use the Adjust Legend for Calendar and Team Calendar method to do so.

Is it possible to set the ESS web dynpro timesheet to open to the Daily View automatically as the defualt?

Change of tabs ess~cat/CatDataRecord - VcCatRecordEntryView

Hi
I have an issue regarding changing the sequence of the Tabs in the ESS application ess~cat/CatDataRecord.
I have managed to get the view for Day to be presented before Week, but the table for day are not loaded directly when launching the application in the portal. Instead I have to select the Week entry and then back to Day to be able to register my time.
I think it has something to do vith the VcCatTableDay and some onload issues.
If solved - 10 points is given:)

Timesheet error when clicking on details in the daily view

Hi Everyone,
We just applied the new Pack EHP4 and update our ESS portal accordingly. But in timesheet are getting an error we haven't encountered before. When going to timesheet (record time app) and clicking on the daily view you either get a new screen if you do it correctly or an error message saying Select a Filled row to change to the detail view.
In the upgraded system that last error message does not come up. Instead it crashes and give this error:
500   Internal Server Error

When clicked on the details link in Daily view it is dumping. If there is any data in one of the row then the details link is working fine but when data is not there then it is giving the dump as below:

How to hide a view in BDT

Dear Experts,
I have a screen and there is a tab which I would like to hide on the screen. I found out which view it isin BDT.
But now I would like to hide the view, Can you please let me know how should I hide it so that it is not visible on the screen.
As we hide the fields, what must must be done to hide the whole view in BDT.

I can not find my book marks tab/tool bar whatever you want to call it and nor can I find the view tab either.

Some how my daughter got on the computer and either hide or deleted my bookmarks all together. I have looked through your support questions and now I find that I can not even find the view tab or button what ever you want to call it. Please help I need to find these ASAP.

In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

How to show all view tab (Main Report and all Sub Report) in Visual FoxPro 9

I use ActiveX from Crystal Report Developer XI for viewer in Visual FoxPro 9 and I already know how to show Main Report by using command:

Your right, there is only one tab to view the report.
To open the subreports you will need to click on them in the main report. I don't know of a way to open them programmatically like you are doing here

How can I get the View Tab name on the Crystal Report Viewer at runtime?

When a report is displayed in the Windows Forms Crystal Report Viewer and the user drills into the report, the drill down view is displayed in a seperate view and is identified via a View tab at the top of the report. I can determine the index of the view tab that is currently selected, but I need to access the text that is on the View tab. The only properties that I've found that pertain to the "view" on the Crystal Report viewer are the ActiveViewIndex and the ViewCount. Unfortunately, neither of these items help me because they are not specific to a certain section of the report. Has anyone had any luck accessing the View Tab properties ? Thanks.

The tabs at the top of the page are nested within some of the viewers controls. Through trial and error you just have to find the right one. In this case the main part of the report is in the first control. This happens to be a TabControl. From there you can loop through the TabPages on the TabControl to grab the names of the tabs.
Here is a quick example of what I did to get the tab text. All this code was in a button click event.

How to hide a single tab in tabcontrol

Hi, I want to hide a single tab on a multi-tab tabcontrol based on login. If the particular bit is set, show 1st and 3rd and so on. I just gone through help files.I couldn't find any.

8bit, you should be aware you replied to a 4 yeaar old solved thread (Not the best way to attract attention- next time feel fre to start a new thread)
Try this:
A Tab is a container for "Pages" the Pages each have a "Page.visible" property. since the pages are in the tab container you cant access there properties directly from the "Pane"

Daily View Calendar items hidden

We are using Groupwise 2012 Webaccess and recently discovered that in the calendar Daily View that appointments created before 8 AM or after 5 PM do not show in the daily view of the calendar, but they show fine in the weekly and monthly view. The time before 8 AM and after 5 PM is shaded darker so there appears to be a time setting somewhere that defines the workday. However, there doesn't appear to be any settings within users web access options to change this view to display all before work and after work appointments. This is true for appointments created using client software as well as within webaccess. Does anyone know of a fix or setting that needs to be changed to display all appointments in the Daily View?

How to activate Events Calendar Sample Application's Weekly and Daily View?

Does anyone know how to activate the Weekly and Daily View for the sample calendar application called "Events?" I am trying to generate, or incorporate, a calendar application based upon the sample application provided by Oracle. I have installed the sample application but I am unable to view the calendar in daily or weekly formats. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in-advance.

Hi,
If the calendar was set up to only use the Monthly view, then you will be missing a number of items on your page.
The simplest thing to do would be to create a new calendar page in your copy of your sample app and then identify those items that are missing from your original page. These should be Monthly/Weekly/Daily buttons, Adjust Calendar Date - Monthly/Weekly/Daily processes and a hidden Pnn_CALENDAR_TYPE page item that holds the currently displayed type.
