ESS changes on Integrated ITS

Hi,
We have upgraded the Standalone ITS to Integrated ITS. We are mainly using the ESS process. For the ESS the Menu PZM3 is not appearing as it used to appear. I searched forum and it is suggesting that I need to use XSS 600 (WebDynpro).
Can you please expain the changes I have to do to make ESS work in the Integarted ITS. Questions like:
- What steps should be used to match the ESS process in Integrated ITS to the standalone.
- PZM3 (ESS start menu) is not appearing in the Internet Service list  -  Is there a replacement transaction for it.
- Which PZ or other internet services should be used.
Please advise.
Thanks,
FS

Hi FS,
As you can see in SAP note 870126, the ESS services are all available as WebDynpro Java applications.
If you try to use the old services you may incur in issues that are not supported by SAP.
Anyway, you can follow [this article|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/HOME/Article-EmploySAPGUIforHTMLinsteadofanInternet+service] to set up a ZPZM3, for example.
The visual appearance might change, but it might work - remembering that this alternative is not supported.
Best regards,
Cristiano

  • Integrated ITS issues in HTML Viewer Control related to applets

We are currently running on integrated ITS - WAS 7.0 kernel 90 at level SAPKB70010.  We recently upgraded from a 46C environment that was utilizing external ITS.   We also utilize the standard SAP CIC0 transaction (call center interaction center)  that is essentially running the webgui service inside of html viewer controls inside of the SAPGUI.
Once we upgraded to the integrated ITS we have lost some functionality.  It appears functions like exporting to spreadsheets from ALV grid, for example, no longer work in the CIC0.
Through some investigation, I can see that if I run the webgui service in an IE browser, the ALV grid export functionality will work, and makes use of applets.
If I run the same webgui service in an HTML viewer control  (for example, by running thru program RSDEMO_HTML_VIEWER), I can see that the download will not work.
I'm aware the HTML viewer control has limitations, however this functionality worked fine for us when using the External ITS, and is important functionality for our CIC0 transaction.  We are using the same version of SAPGUI (640) now we were using before.
Is anyone aware what has changed with Integrated ITS that would make this functionality no longer work in HTML viewer control?  or possibly settings that might need adjusted?
    Thanks,

I found something on SAP Notes:

  • Program not working with Integrated ITS

We are calling program SAPLXUSR at log-on and the program is not carrying out the funtions when being used with the Integrated ITS.
This program works correctly with the Standalone ITS but we are unable to execute it using the Integrated ITS. We are using the standard log-on screen for Integrated ITS without the pop-up log-on box.
    Additional Details:
    Program Name: SAPLXUSR
    Package: SUSR
    Function Module: EXIT_SAPLSUSF_001
    Function Group: XUSR
    Enhancement: SUSR0001
    Any suggestions?

The program is executed when the user logs onto the system.  Since the log-on screen has changed with Integrated ITS, this user exit is not envoked.  The User exit makes entries in tables that are tied to the User ID that is used on the log-on screen.  We've turned off SSO to get our original log-on screen back but now the user exit is not being envoked.

  • ECC6 integrated ITS default port 8000 changed to http port 80

We want the ECC6 integrated ITS default port 8000 changed to http port 80.  The integrated ITS Cat2 transaction is currently working on http port 8000.  I changed the icm/server_port_0(Instance Profile) and the ICM Monitor Active Services(smicm – services) to use port 80.  Cat2 transaction fails http fails after system restart.  I have reverted back to 8000 and all is now working again.  Is there more work that needs to be carried out or is port 80 is supported?

I have checked the transaction RZ11 on SRM Server for the parameter login/accept_sso2_ticket.It is set to value 0.
Can anyone tell me what extra settings are to be done for the Integrated ITS?Please help.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Deepti.

    Hi Raja,
I have changed the default language in the system settings for the service BBPSTART as English. Also I have made the following changes for the same service :-
1>Changed the Logon procedure to "Alternative Logon procedure " and in that I have removed "SSO Authentication".
2>In system Logon Configuration,I have changed the default client and language.
3>In service data,I have changed the Basic authentication from Standard r/3 User to "Internet User".
After doing the above changes,I have republished the service.
Now i am getting the Login Page(in language English) but with the message "SSO cannot be used for logon To continue, choose "Logon". A dialog box appears, where you can enter your user and password. This server does not support HTTPS! It is therefore potentially unsafe to send your password ".
After that when I enter the ID and Pwd,I get the same Login screen(USER,PWD,CLIENT,LANGUAGE AND ACCESIBILITY Labels) but this time below there is the message "Inocrrect SSO configuration on this server".
Please tell me the exact changes so that I can login to the homepage.
Also to avoid the Login page,I have tried entering the Login  Details in anynomous Logon data, but then I directly get the Homepage with the Menu on the Left hand Side and when I click on any of the items,I get the screen with the following text:-
SSO is not active in system
To continue, choose "Logon". A dialog box appears, where you can enter your user and password.
This server does not support HTTPS! It is therefore potentially unsafe to send your password

I am not able to understand why the system is prompting me for the SSO settings when I have set the parameters(LOGON_ACCEPT_SSO2_TICKET AND LOGON)_CREATE_SSO2_TICKET to 0).
    Please help.
    regards,

  • SSO - integrated ITS - SRM 5(EBP)

    Hi all,
I am just wondering if we need Java stack in order to set up Single sign on for SRM/EBP shopping cart (bbpstart).
We are on SRM Server 5.5 with integrated ITS. We don't have Portal. We currently have SSO implemented on all Gui interfaces for all SAP systems via Active directory.
What is the correct documentation for my case?
Thanks a lot and looking forward to hearing from any good instruction,
    Kev

    Hi,
If your password field is already pre filled with some value due to which you are unable to enter the password then you need to maintain the foll parameers in RZ10:
The foll tasks need to carried out preferably by a BASIS person after which you need to restart the SRM server for changes to be effective:-
1.Select the instance profile in RZ10 and  goto Extended maintainence.
    2.login/create_sso2_ticket  = 2
       login/accept_sso2_ticket   = 1
Also check if the values for the SRM server are properly maintained in the table TWPURLSVR.

    Hi,
    Hope this Information is useful.
The SAP Integrated ITS only supports the new "Tradeshow" design (unlike the "standalone" ITS which also supports the well-known EnjoySAP design). The new design is more easily incorporated into the Enterprise Portal and is better adapted to the design of other SAP Web UI technologies (BSP, WebDynpro).
There are also changes to the header area in SAP integrated ITS in Tradeshow: The menu bar and standard toolbar functions are collected on either side of the transaction code field in the buttons "Menu" (on the left) and "System" (on the right). The application toolbar elements are then displayed to the right. Instead of symbols, the system displays the text description. If there is insufficient space to display all buttons, you can display the other elements by choosing the "More" button to the right of the screen.
    Exceptions:
In Release 6.40 (NetWeaver 2004) , the new design is only available for the Internet Explorer. As of Release 7.00 (NetWeaver 2004s), it is also available for Firefox and Mozilla Browser. For this reason, the Enjoy design continues to be supported for Mozilla and Firefox in Release 6.40 (but only for these browsers, and even then only for this design, and not Tradeshow).
Furthermore, in Release 6.40, there are some Internet Application Components (that is, Web applications that build on the ITS), which continue to be displayed with the "Enjoy" design. Of course, the "Enjoy" design continues to be supported for these applications.
You can use SITSPMON Transaction  to monitor the integrated ITS.
    Thanks,
    Tanuj

  • How do I surface language specific texts in Integrated ITS?

    Hello all,
I'm new to both stand alone and integrated ITS and am researching the upgrade process. In our stand alone templates we used htrc files with our html templates to show language specific texts.
    Example.
html template code for a field label
    `if (i==2) DETAIL-FLABEL[2]= #KAFN end`
    htrc name value pair
    z_pz01_en.htrc
    KAFN     Known As First Name
    z_pz01_de.htrc
    KAFN     Bekannt unter dem Vornamen
I see no hint that htrc's can be used in integrated and am not seeing anything in the way of resource based language texts in integrated. I think I've hit every document out there yet, I have a feeling I'm missing something obvious. Your help is appreciated.
    Doug

    Edgar,
Thanks so much for the detail!
I have run through the steps for manual creation of translations as well as SIAC_UPLOAD of htrc files and have it working and documented. I will add a few more findings here for others who find this post later.
Some of our old htrc files had duplicate keys (probably from original German version). In stand alone ITS the last key in the file was used so this didn't matter. In integrated ITS this matters for 2 reasons.
1 Uploading/Converting htrc files having logged in in English will cause failures if any of the text being entered in the service parameters has characters that arent consistent with the codepage being used for EN. (Ex. back Azureück). Clean up htrc files to use only the language they should contain.
2 Stand alone ITS was forgiving of htrc files containing duplicate keys. Integrated ITS is not. Remove all duplicate keys.
    3. This one is obvious but... if  parameters have already been entered in another language you may be prompted to confirm you are changing language and there are several prompts along the way. As these prompts will appear in the logon language itu2019s important to eitheru2026
    a. Be fluent in all supported languages , oru2026
    b. Memorize button and menu positions.
I do have one additional question.
Our old stand alone setup had an alternate corporate "APCI" design that we used...
    File system view -
hostDEV_WWWmimesdesigns"apci"webgui as opposed to the out of box
    hostDEV_WWWmimesdesignssap_streamlinewebgui I suppose.
I believe this was then referenced in the global services file ~DESIGN="APCI"
I'm starting research to understand if there is an analog to this in the integrated webgui service or precisely what I have to do to accomplish alternate styles for webgui and our Z_services.
Thanks again, points on the way, If I could award more I would.

  • MimeURL with images not functions properly on Integrated ITS

    Hi all,
I'm new in ITS and I'm working on Integrated ITS (SAP ECC 6.0). I have to substitute some gif images on HTML template of a customer internet service (on SE80).
I have pointing on the folder:
    YYWEB
      -Topic 99
        -IMAGE
          A.GIF
and I create new MIME object B.GIF (under IMAGE folder) I save and publish it.
Into HTML template I have found this code (that's work fine):
    <TD background="`mimeURL(~name="/image/a.gif")`" height=32 >  </TD>
    and I changed in:
    <TD background="`mimeURL(~name="/image/b.gif")`" height=32 >  </TD>
But nothing is appearing on the browser in place of the B.GIF image.
    Any clues?
    Thanks in advance,
    GB

Perhaps try clearing the Browser Cache and the Integrated ITS Template and MIME Cache using transaction: SITSPMON -> "Template  & MIME Cache"
If "B.GIF" is still not shown - use a HTTP sniffer like HTTPWatch to see if the template is ref the correct MIME in the View Source of the HTML page.

  • Conversion from Integrated ITS to Webdynpro

    Hello,
We are starting a conversion from ITS ESS Services to the Webdynpro for Java Applications on the portal 7.0....I want to know that as a whole we have to understand the current ITS ESS services and the Customizations done ....and map them to the Webdynpro applications as a fresh implementation or there is something else to be done specifically ?...
Please let me know if there are any specific tasks to be done or steps to be followed.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

You won't find any content for the "old" Training & Events module in the latest ESS/MSS business packages - any standard content delivered in those typically relates to the newer Learning Solution (LSO) component.
You can just create a couple of custom IAC iViews that run services PV7I and PV8I on the integrated ITS, and put them in your ESS portal role.
    Excerpt from note 870126:-
The following international ESS applications based on Standalone ITS have been or will be converted to integrated ITS Version 6.40, and can still be used with SAP ERP 2005.  You can integrate these applications using ESS Homepage Customizing if required:
International ESS Services available on the integrated ITS as of SAP ERP2005:
Training Center (PV7I) (see Note 771196)
    myBookings (PV8I) (see Note 771196)

  • Session does not logoff  on integrated ITS 700

We have upgraded from 46C / ITS 620 to ERP2005 (ECC60) and are using the integrated ITS.
When you log off the ITS webgui session, if you leave the browser open and enter the webgui URL once more (http://<host>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui), the logon screen is bypassed and another person could pick up the original users session.
The ~usertimeout parameter from ITS 620 does not have any effect.
Does anyone know the correct parameter to set to overcome this?

    Hello John
There seems to be some sort of SSO involved.
~usertimeout only helps with the original ITS SSO cookie named MYSAPSSO.
With ticket logon ~usertimeout already did not have any effect.
With the Integrated ITS the MYSAPSSO cookie is not available anymore.
In your case the problem is either with the SSO Logon Ticket or with HTTP Basic Authentication. If it is the ticket logon (e.g. via EP) then the user would have to log off from EP to delete the SSO Logon ticket.
If it is the HTTP Basic Authentication then the browser has to be closed as there is no other way to remove the authentication otherwise.
    <b>Possible Solution</b>:
You might want to check and change the Logon Procedure in SICF for the webgui service. You should be able to make SAP Authentication the standard:
you find more details at <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e0/73f34026d70b06e10000000a155106/frameset.htm">SAP Online Help</a>

  • Need help on integrated ITS URL format for CIC Account Overview

    Hello CCS Experts,
We just upgraded from 46C to ECC 6.0 ( CCS 464 to UT 6.0 ). We used to have external ITS for CIC0 in 46C , Now we are trying to make CIC0 work with Integrated ITS. Our basic Integrated ITS services work , did all the configuration like SICF activation of necessary services ( Including EWB_WEBGUI and EWHV for call center ), publishing sevices to INTERNAL site using SE80 etc... And Test service works fine on all these services.
But when I go to CIC0 and click on Account overview , I get Service Can not be reached. I have checked transaction CICAM and maintained it point to the internal ITS machine with the right port number. But no luck...
The old URL used to be as below for ISUACCOUNTOVERVIEW.
    http://dr3-da-1:8001/scripts/wgate/zzewhv_acct_ovw/!?view=ao_isuacct&classid=isuaccount&~okcode=+
My question is how should the URL be changed to work with Integrated ITS , Need specific format. Has anyone had this issue , or can direct me to some customizing documentation.
    Thanks
    Regards
    Venu

Looks like you have a customized overview instead of the standard one. The standard URL looks like this
    http://<your.its.url>/scripts/wgate/ewhv_acct_ovw/!?view=ao_isuacct&classid=isuaccount&~okcode=+
Your URL shows "zzewhv_acct_ovw" instead of the standard "ewhv_acct_ovw". See if you have created a custom class based on the standard one.

  • Integrated ITS: multiple sessions and locking issue

We are upgrading to ECC 6.0 from 4.6C and have Integrated ITS turned on. We have built a custom PZM3 as one entry and exit point for our ESS services. But we have issues with session management when navigating between some services like PZ14 and PZ02. The PZ14 session and the corresponding lock are not released upon going to the PZ02 service directly. But this happens for only some services. If you navigate between PZ02 and PZ12 it works fine. I followed the instructions of note# 959417, but it didn't work. Not only it is causing locking issues, but also memory usage issues as multiple user sessions are being created on the server. I did check some of posts similar to this one, but the issue still persists.
Our WAS release: 7.00; ABAP support package: SAPKB70009; Patch level: 75.
I would appreciate if anyone could shed some light on this issue. Thank you for your time and consideration.
    Kshitij

Our Basis admin found out that using a parameter ~DISCONNECTONCLOSE = 1 would resolve most of this issues -- and it did. But now we are having issues with some users having popup blockers turned on. We referred to SAP notes 892250/596698-- followed it -- implemented it-- but some users
still have issues -- like today while working from home via VPN, I am having issues with session management. But working from office yesterday,
    the sessions worked just fine.

    Hi,
    for these kinds of issues,
foirst check if a uefull event already exists in the system
for this you first actiave the event trace: SWELS.
Then you change the info record.
And then you read the event log with SWEL.
If there's no event, you may eventually have to create it in an exit with SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT fm
    Kind regards, Rob Dielemans
