ESS Delivered Country Services!

Hi All,
I am working on ESS Implementation and I am encountering a problem where we have 99 country grouping. Is there any SAP delivered Address services for 99 country grouping or should it be developed?
Any pointers in this direction would be of much help.
Thanks,
Krish

Hi Eduardo
Thanks a lot for the reply. I do have the components installed
SAP_ESS           600 SP11
SAP_PCUI_GP    600 SP11
SAP_PSS           600 SP11
BP_ERP5ESS     1.0SP11
SAP_HR is on support pack SP22, and SP11 is the recommended support pack for the business packages. Some of the iViews like the personal information work and all the webdynpro iviews when I preview it works. It is just that when I navigate from the portal navigation some of the iViews especially cross country ones fail (Eg Benifits and Payments). It looks like it is not able to load the correct country specific Resource configured in the IMG.
Please help!

I've twice tried to use iTunes match. It stalls in step 2. I've rebooted my iMac computer and it still stalls. Apple's taken the $25 but not delivered the service. Can I get some personal help? There are 12,733 songs, a few dozen of which are not going to be in the Apple music library because they are unique to my collection. Also, some titled "Track XX" and no artist. I assume these would either not upload or else just be uploaded. But, after an overnight of step 2, the iTunes match program was still on song number 7384 or 12733 (it was on that number for over 12 hours). Looking in the music library, activating the iCloud icon and status fields, there were hundreds of songs with the status "waiting."

Well it could still be a software problem if you installed a third party program after the OS X wipe and install, because by booting into Safe Mode it disables certain functions of OS X and hardware. Check for updates or problems for all your third party software, include everything, including menulets, System Preference panes, hacks and so forth.
If you restored any sort of software from backup like TimeMachine, it likely was corrupted data and now is returned.
If the college tech support found a lot of dust clogging the rear exhaust vents behind the fans, then likely the heat damage done to the machine has already occured and can't be reversed. Video cards are usually first to go, which Safe Mode does disable the video card somewhat.
Run through this list of fixes, it's systematic in nature, also has a Hardware Test to see what's going on
..Step by Step to fix your Mac
Too bad this is occurring to a mere 4 year old machine, but dust will do that. Here is the culprit that Apple doesn't tell anyone about.

  • The Quest for Delivered Web Services

Does anyone know of a way to find a list of delivered web services? I've been browsing the Interactive Services Repository (ISR) but am not seeing a way of determining which have been exposed (as delivered) as web services. I'm trying to take an inventory of what is delivered as part of defining a roadmap to SOA.
I've also queried the psibwsdl table...which is empty.

  • ESS Open Enrollment Service

    Hello,
I am on EP7.0 NW04s ECC6.0 and want to modify the ESS Service Open Enrollment ...and I am looking for the ESS Webdynpro Application service corresponding to it.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Hi Antony,
    Thanks for replying.
I have verified in SM30. I do not see any value in the input field for "URL of PCD". are there any other check points?
Following are the details of the for the resources, service keys and service groups.
    Resource Key: EMPLOYEE_GENERICENROLLMENT_SERVICE05.
    Directory Path: sap.com/ess~ben
    Object Name: BenefitsApplication
    URL Parameter: TRACKING_ID=GENERIC&INITIATOR_ROLE=HRASRD&EVENT=
    <b>Assignments</b>
    Servive Key: EMPLOYEE_BENEFITPAY_GENERIC_ENROLLMENT05.
    Service Group: EMPLOYEE_BENEFITPAY_GENERIC_ENROLLMENT
    Resource Key: EMPLOYEE_GENERICENROLLMENT_SERVICE
    Directory Path: sap.com/ess~ben
    Object Name: BenefitsApplication
    URL Parameter: EVENT=
    <b>Assignments</b>
    Service Key: EMPLOYEE_BENEFITPAY_GENERIC_ENROLLMENT
    Service Group: EMPLOYEE_BENEFITPAY_GENERIC_ENROLLMENT
I also have another issue came up during trials.
I copied sub Areas, services, service group, resources, and assigned them accordingly to areas and group pages. and made changes respectively in the PCD location (application parameters:   sap.xss.menuargrp etc..).
I removed the Sub Area from the Area Page. Still I am seeing some links like "Open Enrollement", "Adjustment Reason Enrollments" etc. which just refer the above Resource Keys. Where are the default values coming from? Like mentioned in one of the threads, are they coming from Client "000".
    Thanks!

  • ESS-Employee Self Service-Help required.

    Hello,
We have already implemented ESS-Employee Self Service.(PORTAL EP 7.0 SP13 & HR system-ECC 6.0). Now the requirement is that payroll related information in ESS  needs to be mapped with another HR system SAP 4.7.Rest of the functionality needs to be unchanged.
I am beginner in portal. Can any one please provide me the required detailed documentation regarding the same.
    Useful answers will be rewarded.
    Regards,
    Subodh Ghosalkar

    Hello SJ,
    Thanks for your inputs.
We have not mapped SAP 4.7 yet. We are looking forward to integrate it.
I agree that we should go for payroll in ECC 6.0 as well. But its the client requirement that as of now we want payroll from SAP 4.7.They would be migrating to ECC 6.0 in next few months. Till then we have to manage with SAP 4.7
Could you please provide me any documentaion regarding this issue or issues that we need to care off before we go ahead with this complex activity.

  • ESS for country not delivered by SAP

    Good Night.
I am implementing Employee Self-Service for  Chile.
I want that someone can help me with this?
I want copy the webdynpro of Venezuela and work with this, but i don't know that do.
    Can someone help me?

Steps : Mainly are in backend
MOLGA=99 International (this is the country grouping used in backend
    for Chile
    A. Define general settings
    1. Define resources to be used in area and subareas; we have created
our resources into client namespace starting from US resources for:
    Address, Personal Data and Family members;
Starting from GB for Bank information.
IMG path: Personnel Management -> Employee Self-Service -> General
    Settings -> HomePage for Self-Services -> Resources -> Define Resources;
    2. Define services which will appear on the area pages and linked them
    to the resources from step 1;
IMG path: Personnel Management -> Employee Self-Service -> General
    Settings -> HomePage for Self-Services -> Services -> Define Services;
    3. Define country-specific services; we have define for country
    grouping 99 the services done in step 2;
Settings -> HomePage for Self-Services -> Services -> Define Country-
    Specific Services;
    B. Define Service-specific settings
    1. Suppose to have the IMG activity according to SAP note 936179 #
Reuse of country specific services once the note was successfully
    implemented.
    Entries in table
    T7XSSREUSEUISN, for our VERSION ID = 99!
Supposed IMG path: Personnel Management -> Employee Self-Service ->
Service-Specific Settings -> Personnel information -> Reuse country
    specific services;

  • ESS Personal Information Services

    Hi,
We are in planning to upgrade our existing ITS version to the latest webdynpro version ESS services. We will be implementing for 13 different countries. I can see based on the delivered Business Package that the iviews are based on specific countries (at lest for personal information). Due to this, i assume that i'll have to create 13 different roles (based on countries) and assign accordingly to the users (either this or use groups). Can someone confirm this? By the way, how is the checking being done against the user? Thanks
    Regards

    Hi Nahoj,
The country-specific apps works with the country grouping information from SAP User. To assign the country grouping, set the MOL parameter in the ABAP User.
In the customizing side you disguise this information through 2 entries:
    - All services:
    Employee Self-Service > General Settings > Homepage for Self-Services > Services > Define Services
    - Country-specific services:
    Employee Self-Service > General Settings > Homepage for Self-Services > Services > Define Country-Specific Services
You can maintain/remove services inside your countries of application, but if still that not cover your requirements, you can add a country-specific app service from another country (check this link: [Reuse Country-Specific Applications|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/6d/5e207f3bb547aebdd1399aaa3d23d7/content.htm]).
When a User enter to Portal, after read Portal's Role, it reads the country grouping and display the services enabled from All Services + services enabled from Country-specific services for the corresponding User's country grouping.
    Regards!

  • ESS/MSS country specific

    Hi SAP GURUS,
Any one please help me what are the standard country specific functionality provided by SAP for ESS/MSS, like leave management, Benfits, ......etc.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Samba.

@ram manohar .....I don't think you understood the original question.
For ESS/MSS, there are several country-specific delivered services. What is available will depend on your version. For ESS, there are several. For MSS, not many (if any, I can think of off-hand). I would highly suggest you go to help.sap.com and select your backend version and then look at the chapters on ESS/MSS which will list ALL country-specific delivered services. If a service is NOT delivered for your country of need, you can also "reuse Country-Specific applications” which is detailed in the configuration documentation in the IMG itself (basically you make entries in a table that says "when you see THIS molga, use the service that is associated with this OTHER molga instead").

  • ESS - NWBC - Benefits Service Missing

    Hi Experts,
We are on ECC 6.0, EHP 6. We are using NWBC for ESS/MSS.
We have assigned standard SAP roles for ESS.
We don't see Benefits Service under Benefits and Payment. We do have assigned required roles for Canada.
Any idea, what is missing on the role side?
    Regards,
    Ashish

Also make sure you're using the correct role. SAP_EMPLOYEE_XX_ESS_WDA_3 is delivered with EHP6 and it includes the required menu setup. We're in the U.S. and it included country grouping 10 and 99 versions of the new Benefit services for us.
Also, the HRESS_A_BENEFITS_ENROLLMENT web dynpro application is driven based on system configuration and benefit adjustment reasons. For example, Open Enrollment is only available in the ESS menu if the Open Enrollment period is open in the Benefit IMG configuration. Otherwise it's not available in menu when an employee logs in.

  • ESS- Multi country manager problem

    Hello Experts,
We are facing a problem in ESS Implementation. We have a few employees who are managers in their employment country as well as for few (1 or 2) more countries. ESS WD-Java applications are picked up wrongly for such users and they get java dump - field symbol has not been yet assigned. error key:RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
For example we have a user who is employee (pernr) in country say Germany and having manager role in backend. And as we are using ABAP AS as our UME source, the backend role has u2018Germany ESS/MSSu2019 portal groups assigned to it. Thus this user has access to ESS Germany applications (WD iViews) and MSS Germany applications (iViews).
Now this manager is also working as manager in country say Sweden and hence assigned the Sweden manager role in backend which has u2018Sweden ESS/MSSu2019 groups assigned in portal. Now he has access to ESS Sweden and MSS Sweden but he is not having pernr from country Sweden.
Now in portal the concerned user (manger-Germany) gets error while trying any of ESS (webdynpro) applications  (personal data, address for example). When we examined this we found that the user is getting Sweden country specific wd application. For the role - ESS Germany we are assigning only Germany specific wd application. If this is causing by multiple ess roles assigned thereby multiple country specific application, then we need to know how to manipulate the order of the applications. As such users are large- modifying the existing role structure is ruled out.
    We are using {NW 7.01 SP03} and {ECC 6 EHP4} and {ESS 1.41, MSS 1.41- patch level same as ehp4}.
Please help - we are in final preparation phase and as there are many such users this is really need to be solved.

    HI,
    DO it by following ways
    Country-Specific Services
In this IMG activity, you define country-specific services. When an
employee starts a service, the system determines the employee's country
grouping and checks if there is a country-specific service definition in
         the V_T7XSSSERSRVCG and V_T7XSSSERSRVCGC views.
o   If there is a country-specific service definition, the system uses
             this definition.
o   If there is no country-specific service definition, the system uses
the general service definition in the V_T7XSSSERSRV and
V_T7XSSSERSRVC views. If the general service definition does not
contain a resource object, the system does not display the service
             (see example 2).
This enables you to define country-specific variations of services for
certain countries while using a general service definition for all other
         countries.
         Activities
         Examples
         Example 1
Your company has employees in seven different countries:
         o   Germany (01)
      o   Austria (02)
      o   Switzerland (03)
      o   Canada (07)
      o   USA (10)
(Number in brackets = country grouping)
The service for displaying a salary statement is the same for Germany,
Austria, and Switzerland. For Canada and the USA, you need services with
      additional content.
o   You define a general service for displaying the salary statement in
          the V_T7XSSSERSRV and V_T7XSSSERSRVC views.
o   You define two additional services for the country groupings 07 and
          10 in the V_T7XSSSERSRVCG and V_T7XSSSERSRVCGC views.
When an employee from Germany, Austria or Switzerland starts the service
for displaying salary statements, the system uses the service definition
in the V_T7XSSSERSRV and V_T7XSSSERSRVC views.
When an employee from Canada or the USA starts the service for
displaying salary statements, the system uses the service definition in
      the V_T7XSSSERSRVCG and V_T7XSSSERSRVCGC views.
