ESS & E-Recruitment

Hello Everyone,
Can some provide me the documents for learning E-Recruitment and ESS/MSS
mail to [email protected]
Many Thanks

Hi,
If you have implemented SSO then the user id of the employee should be the same in HCM as well as the E-rec server.
To get rid of the error activate the services through SICF in the Erecruitment server.

  • ESS integration with E-Recruiting - issue w WDA Favorites & MyApplications

    Hi all,
We are implementing E-Rec 6.0 EhP3 and ESS EhP3 on 2 different boxes.
In ESS, the services for 'Recruitment' such as Job Search, My Profile, Apply Directly etc are easily intergrated within the iviews by supplying the URLs from E-Rec's SICF (Right-click, Test service, retrieve URL)
However, for the other 2 ESS services - Favourites & My Applications - in E-Rec, these 2 components (HRRCF_C_JOB_FAVO_UI & HRRCF_C_APPLICATIONS_UI) do not have the 'Application' in SICF/SE80 that I could 'test service' and generate its unique URL.
Are there any patches, fixes, or workaround to enable Favorites & My Applications services in E-Rec to be called within ESS without any development?
    Thanks guys.
    Azman

    Have
    Applications
    Favourites
Been replaced with WD ABAP application in EHP3 E-recruitment ?
If so then you must undertake you own integration of EHP3 E-recruitment applications to ESS Business Package - technically it should still be possible to call WD ABAP applications from ESS pages (or iviews) in the same way as it is possible to call
BSPs from ESS pages (or iviews) - it should also be possible to define and call any URL via service links anywhere in the ESS pages if required

  • ESS Career and Job: e-Recruiting Integration

First we are on EP7 w/ SP 10 with the latest ESS SP 7
I am trying to get my e-Recruiting BSP applications to work correctly in the Portal. But unfortunatley I consistently get this error message.
The following error text was processed in the system:
BSP Exception: Das Objekt application.do/start in der URL /sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_start_int/application.do/start?sap-syscmd=nocookie&sap-client=&sap-language=en&sap-accessibility=&sap-ep-version=7.00.200611091758&sap_ep_version=7.00.200611091758&sap_ep_baseurl=http%3A%2F%2Fsnocfpd1.myco.org%3A50100%2Firj ist nicht gültig.
When I put the BSP URL into my browser
    https://snocfrd1.myco.org/sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_start_int/application.do?rcfLogAppl=SEARCH_JOBS
    it works fine.
anybody have any ideas how to troubleshoot this? I'm assuming it has to do with all the rest of the garbage parameters the Portal is sending to e-Recruit.

  • Does ESS business package have Recruitment in it

    Hi Experts,
My Doubt is can we get Standard content of Recruitment as a part of ESS.?
( Content regards to content in Portal)
what are the business packages which have Recruit standard content.
is it possible to include the recruitment standard in ESS?
I am not well versed with the BPs ..help in clearing these doubts
    With Regards,
    Dayakar.
Edited by: DayakarMaidsetty on May 4, 2010 1:40 PM

I think believe ESS provides the following Recruitment content
    Career and Job
    Technical name: com.sap.pct.erp.ess.area_career_job
    Use
Employees can use the applications in this area to:
    ·        Maintain their candidate profile
    ·        Display an overview of the data in the candidate profile
    ·        Release candidate profile
    ·        Apply directly to a job posting
    ·        Search for suitable jobs
    ·        Display a list of job postings that they have stored as favorites
    ·        Send applications
    ·        Store personal settings
    ·        Maintain their skills profile
I guess install the BP, setup ER and see whats available
The specific ESS view could be a mix of WD JAVA iviews or apps, BSP and WD ABAP depending on the ESS and ER version
Certainly it is possible to incorporate more PA-ER BSP or WD ABAP applications into the ESS role via a custom iview and role

  • E-Recruiting(E-RC) vs Employee Self-Service(ESS)

    Dear Experts,
    I have the following doubt:
We are implementing ESS with BP 1.41 and E-RC 1.41. The appplications of E-RC are working with WD ABAP, but the services of Career and Job ie. Favorites call applications BSP.
Business Package for Recruiter 1.41  and  Business Package for Recruiting Administrator 1.41.
In the standard business package of ESS the following services is available for E-Recruiting
    · Candidate Profile
    · Data Overview
    · Profile Release
    · Apply directly
    · Search for jobs
    · Favorites
    · Applications
    · Personal settings
The pre-reqs of the E-recruitment applications like Favourites
    are as follows -->
You use SAP e-Recruiting 3.00 with Support Package 1, or higher.
Before you can use the e-Recruiting applications, you have to make the
following settings in the Implementation Guide (IMG):
-> Specify the server on which SAP e-Recruiting is installed. To do so,
    choose the
following IMG path: Cross-Application Components ? Homepage Framework ?
Resources ? Define Server for Resources. Enter the server name and the
    port of your e-Recruiting system.
-> Assign the server to all e-recruiting resources and add the URL
parameters stored. To do so, choose the following IMG path:
    Cross-Application Components-> HomepageFramework -> Resources ->
    Define Resources.
Enter the e-recruiting server for the following resources. Add the
relevant URL parameters by replacing in the BSP client the 000 client
with the client of your erecruiting system.
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_APPLICATIONS_SERVICE
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_DATA_OVERVIEW
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_DIRECT_APPL_SERVICE
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_FAVORITES_SERVICE
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_PERSONAL_SETTINGS
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_PROFILE_RELEASE
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_PROFILE_SERVICE
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_SEARCH_JOBS_SERVICE.
I want know Why SAP call this applications with BSP  if ESS and E-RC work with WD ABAP?
Thank in advance for your help.
    Best Regards.

    Hi Roman.
Please You can help me with this doubt:
The following  applications that are in the Area Page of Career and Job for ESS:
    Candidate Profile
    · Data Overview
    · Profile Release
    · Apply directly
    · Search for jobs
    · Favorites
    · Applications
    · Personal settings
Also are delivered by SAP for work with  WD ABAP or only are build with BSP of form Standard?
    Best Regards

  • E-recruitment as part of ESS/MSS

    Dear Experts.
II have the following doubt with the service of Career and Job that call applications of E-RC.
The standard ESS package only provides steps to setup the original BSPs - for the following applications:
    · Candidate Profile
    · Data Overview
    · Profile Release
    · Apply directly
    · Search for jobs
    · Favorites
    · Applications
    · Personal settings
However I want call the applications of E-RC that work with WD ABAP. The problem is that I don't know What is the name of the applications WD for the services of above, for include this applications in the Role de ESS.
Can you please help me for solve my issue.?
Thank in advance for your help.
    Best Regards
    Juan.

    Hi Juan
I think equivalent  E-recruitment WDA applications are also visible in SICF under the following path
    /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hrrcf*
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_wd*
If you do a test service the URL will be displayed in the browser address field
As I understand it SAP have not delivered ESS Career and Job workset for use with new EHP WD ABAP E-recruitment applications however it should be possible to integrate WDA applications into the ESS role -anywhere really either via custom iviews/pages or just custom HpF service links or indeed maybe even using the same Career and Job workset and service links (altered to point to WD ABAP URLs)
    Best wishes

  • E-recruitment - Whether it is part of ESS or its standalone package?

    Hi Experts,
e-recruitment is part of ess or its standalone package. e-recruitment related information is available at following places:
    First Link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/EN/72/c9b54015c4752ae10000000a155106/frameset.htm

If we have to implement e-recruitwent, then we need to do? Should we implement using the first link or second link
Please help me and provide me the information.
    Regards,
    Gary

    Hi Gary,
The E-Recruitment package is completely separate from ESS.  While the standard ESS package contains an area (Career and Job) that can point to E-Recruitment functionality, it does not include this functionality by itself.
To answer your question, neither ESS nor E-Recruitment necessarily need each other to be there first, but because of the advantages of running SAP products together, it would be most efficient to have your HCM implementation (with or without ESS) up first before implementing E-Recruitment in order to maximize your efficiency of people data management.
Please let me know if you need additional clarity on this issue.
    Regards,
    Joe

  • E-Recruitment, ESS/MSS, E-Learning

    Dear Friends,
We are implementing E-Recruitment, ESS/MSS, and E-Learning for our client. We are having PA, OM, Time and payroll already in place. We configured EP 6.0 with ESS/MSS deployed in the portal.
Now we are looking for E-Rec. **Do we need to deploy E-Rec and E-Learning in the same portal where ESS/MSS is there or else E-Rec in different.**
Do these 2 sub modules come as seperate business packages or else a part of ESS/MSS. If it needs to be deployed in different portal then how the integration will happen with MSS?
What are the components we need to deploy for E-Recruitment?  Does it come as seperate tab like ESS/MSS or else a link within ESS/MSS?
    Kindly guide us.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sananthanan

    Hi,
I am assuming from the info that is given by you that you are not going ahead with Ehp4 versions of LSO & eReccruiting. In such a case, you have the following options.
eRecruiting : Can be in the same instance as the core SAP HR or in a different system. Also, portal is not a MUST for versions Ehp4 and below.WAS is enough. The choice of UI can be either BSP or WDA.Full UI version of WDA is with Ehp4 only.
In the same server scenario, the portal system is connected with the SAP HR system.
In a different server scenario, core HR is linked to eREC using ALE & eRec in turn is linked to the portal system. (useful only for MSS role with eREc as you are not using the other roles for eRec availble in Ehp4)
LSO : Here too, the learning portal can be in the same portal as your ESS and MSS and connected to the core HR.The implementation options too can vary for the LSO:
Option 1 : LSOFE,LSO CP and LSO TM in the same server
Option2 : LSOFE and LSOCP in a different server from LSO TM
    Option3 : All 3 in different servers.
You can use the content administration of your ESS/MSS portal for your Content management

  • EREC Errors MSS and ESS in E-Recruiting

    hello guys,
I have some problems in the portal with the E-Recruiting services in ESS and MSS.
when I try to create a requisition (create_requisition_request) in Manager Self-Service E-Recruiting it shows this error:
         Portal runtime error
Exception during request processing. Send the ID of the exception to the portal administrator
         3:04 02/12/110044_33819650 exception ID
More details on this exception in the log file
and the Employee when entering any of the links to career and job application (area_career_job) the page appears blank.
    do you have any idea?
    thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for your response,
I could fix the error I had with the MSS with the System Alias, but still services ESS are not working, in the portal the pages to career and job application appears blank and when I test the service hrrcf_start_int / application.do in t-code SICF generates internal error, in t-code SLG1 I see the error: "The system accesses Customizing table T77RCF_sp_ID using parameters 0000. There are no entries in the table for this."
any help will be much appreciated.

  • E-Recruitment : How to configure employee referral in ESS

    Hi,
Can you please share the elaborate process and config procedure whereby Employee Referral functionality is provided via ESS.For this particular implementation we also have SAP E-Recruitment being implemented.Issue is to provide Internal employees a provision to refer candidates. Here also there are two cases. One in which internal employee has candidates resume and other is when internal employee doesnt have the candidates resume. In first case internal employee is needed to fill all the candidates data while in other case a link "Tell a friend" needs to be clicked by internal employee thereby to intimate the candidate to complete the registration process.
Please share the process and configuration for the same in SAP ECC 6.0

    Hi,
although I already met several people who say say something else - there is no employee referral function in ESS.
The Tell-A-Friend function is not active in the internal candidates screens. This can easily be checked in component HRRCF_C_SEARCH_UI views VW_EMP_HITLIST and VW_UNREGEMP_HITLIST. Both do not include a Tell-A-Friend button. Furthermore it would only be possible to refer postings which are published internal and external at the same time as the hitlists for internal candidate only include internal published postings but the referral would require an external publication. Theoretical an employee could use the Tell-A-Friend function on the external views but you would lose the link to the employee information so there would be no possibility for identifying the referral.
The application source solution covers the possibility that an external candidate enters the information of an employee as source. But there is only a free text field to enter the employee information so technical evaluation is not possible.
All other scenarios of employee referral need customer development.
    Kind regards
    Roman

  • E-Recruiting and ESS for ERP2004

    Hello,
We are implementing ESS on EP 6.0 SP9 with ERP 2004.  I am currently trying to get the 'Career and Job' workset to function, but am having difficulties.
Per the documentation in the  MSS 60.1.2(page 16) business packages, I have defined a system definition in the system landscape called 'SAP_BSP_EREC' and pointed to our ERP2004 instance where HR and E-Recruiting is installed.
Right now I have two issues.
    1.  On the ERP2004 side, when I try to test any of the e-recruiting services from SICF, such as hrrcf_start_int, I get the following error:
Calling the BSP page was terminated due to an error.
The following error text was processed in the system:
BSP Exception: Das Objekt default.htm in der URL /sap/bc/bsp/sap/bsp_veri/default.htm?sap-client=800&sap-sessioncmd=open ist nicht gültig.
    Error type:
Your SAP Business Server Pages Team
    2.  When I try to test any of the career and job iviews from the portal, such as 'Candidate profile'  I get the following error:
    com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.WebDynpro::WebDynpro/TopLayer
    MandatoryParameters
    DefinitionType       Java
    System               SAP_BSP_EREC
    Application Name
    OptionalParameters
    WebDynproNamespace
    Application Parameters
    DynamicParameter        rcfLogAppl%3DPROFILE_BUILDER
    DebugMode  No
Why am I unable to test the E-Recruiting services from SICF?
What am i missing on the portal configuration that is preventing me from testing the e-recruiting i-views?
    Thanks,
    -Matt Schababerle

Some what similar problem I also faced......
When I try to open any HRRCF(*) service on the I.E, it gives me the following error :-
This server does not support the HTTPS, thus it is potentially unsafe to send the password and then it give the same error message mentioned by Matt Schababerle.
The following error text was processed in the system:
BSP Exception: Das Objekt default.htm in der URL /sap/bc/bsp/sap/bsp_veri/default.htm?sap-client=800&sap-sessioncmd=open ist nicht gültig.
