ESS error : Grouping Value

Hi
We have implemented ESS 1.41 on our portal 7.0 system.
While executing ESS applications for making changes in ESS data mention error is getting displayed in Personal Information work set for ESS application i.e.,Address, Personal Data, etc.
Data record 0000020500061 9999123120110507000 has grouping value "" instead of "02"
Please share pointers to resolve this error.

Hi SK,
In Transaction SE 38 run report RPUFIXDS to remove the inconsistency.
Follow the instructions in OSS note 783499, to prevent the inconsistencies from happening again.
PS: Please try to search on SDN before posting the question in forum. This problem has been discussed numerous time. It will help you in long run.

Hi,
I assume the following system situation exists:
The new Infotypeframework NITF is inactive for PA30. Flag CCURE PC UI is activated in T77SO. You are using ESS based on Web Dynpro which uses the new Infotypeframework.
Here we have to differentiate between infotypes which are participating in the data sharing functionality and all other infotypes. Such as:
Infotypes without Data Sharing:
          - Infotype checks     => module pool
          - Infotype update     => SAPFP50P/SAPUP50R
Infotypes with Data Sharing:
          - Infotype checks     => module pool
          - Infotype update     => NITF
ATTENTION:
BAdI HRPAD00INFTY is not processed in this case (importing parameter NEW_IMAGE is always space). Instead the BAdI HRPAD00INFTYDB of the NITF is been processed.
The following notes (1 and 2) will solve the problem. Note 3) solves an involving problem caused during the deletion process of a personnel number.
1) 783499 - Incorrect framework synchronization
2) 845592 - Incorrect framework synchronization - Retroactive accounting
3) 844998 - PU00: Termination when deleting a personnel number

In my ESS Whenever most of the employee are are trying to update/edit Address/Personal data under the personal information .They are getting below menteniod error
Data record 0000901200061 9999123120070827000 has grouping value "" instead of "10" Please suggest whether it is related to some techinal or Functional fault.

Hi Aurelein,
As john has suggested executing the program RPUFIXDS for the all the pernrs would resolve the issue for sure.
the reason behind this is that Ess scnarios mostly make use of the decoupled classes framework.And in this framework, it is mandatory that the grouping value is filled in the pannn tabled(field--grpval).
whever a person is hired other than the decoupled framework,the grouping value is not filled .
And so whne you try to acces such employees via the decoupled framework, these error gets thrown.

ESS Error when updating personal data

Hi all,
I am running into a problem from ESS when I try to update the personal data I get the following error message:
Data record 010000150002 9999123119500601000 has grouping value "" instead of "10"
I can translate the values in the massage:
01000015 is the PERNR
0002 is the infotype being updated
the space represents the subtype (there is no subtype)
99991231 is the BEGDA
19500601 is the date of birth
I have no idea what the 000 are
This is US employee so the number 10 is the country code for the USA
The value in doble quotes shows that the country grouping must be empty, but I have no idea how to solve this.
I have checked the configuration and it has the country grouping 10 and the employee master record belongs to the US.
Any help will be really appreciated.

Hi,
This problem happens because of some inconsistensies . Please run the report 'RPUFIXDS' , specify the pernr which you are using,
then uncheck 'Test Run' Run the report after these settings are done.That should resolve your issue.

ESS error in portal

Hi,
I get below error message when i click Employee Self-Service in portal.
"A critical error has occurred. Processing of the service needs to close. Unsaved data has been lost.
Contact your system administrator.
Area group ZSAPDEFAULTESS_ERP2005 does not exist."
I get this error message for languages other than English.
Could you please guide me what i need to check to correct the above error.

Thanks for your guidance regarding ESS error in portal.
We found that the language entry for which we got error, was missing in production.
We added the language entry in table T7XSSSERARGBT and transported it to production.
But now we are getting an exception message as shown below.
"com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: ComponentUsage(FPMConfigurationUsage): Active component must exist when getting interface controller. (Hint: Have you forgotten to create it with createComponent()? Should the lifecycle control of the component usage be "createOnDemand"?"
I do not feel this error might be due to our transport in production.
So, please guide us what can be the reason for this exception.

I have not used aggregate functions in the insert/update..
have used only decode...

Error Acquisition value negative in area 15. Message no. AA617

Hi all,
I have capitalized an AUC but after capitalization only i came to know that it has been over valued for 2000 BHD now i want to reverse that 2000 BHD which is over capitalized , i tried doing this in f-02 with transaction type 101 and i am getting the below error
Acquisition value negative in area 15.
Message no. AA617
Asset affected: 000000400012-0000
I have to pass the following entry
Debit Vendor
Credit Asset
is the way i have done is correct if not please guide me in this issue

Now am getting below error when i tried pk 75 and tran type 100
Balance for transaction type group 10 negative for the area 01
Message no. AA629
Asset affected: 000000100031-0000
Diagnosis
With the transaction entered, the balance for the transactions in group 10 in area 01 will be negative in this fiscal year. However, the balance of transaction type group 10, according to its definition, must be positive in each fiscal year.
System Response
The system rejects this posting.
Procedure
Check the transaction type, the amount and the fiscal year in your posting. If you want to post a credit memo to an acquisition from the previous year, then use a transaction type for a retirement. If necessary, you can change balance rules after talking with your SAP consultant.
Please help me for the above issue.

I have a PUBLIC entry in SMLG and I have a valid entry in etc/services. The problem I think is with SMLG the PUBLIC entry does not have a green box under the status field. Can someone elaborate on this more?

Ensure that your host file contains three entries pointing to IP addrsss of Discovery System:
<IP ADDRESS>[tab] SAPDiscoverySystem<space>iwdfvm2160<space>owdfvm2160.wdf.sap.corp
This addresses the internal file names as well as SAPDiscoverySystem. This can also be accomplished with three entrie in your company DNS but many companies do not allow out-of-domain entries.
I will modify the instructions on Prerequisites page.

Grouping value "" instead

Hi Guru's
I'm getting the following error(2005120519991220000 has grouping value "" instead of "07") when trying to review changes in address(personal information). Does anyone have anything more to add to this problem if SAP Note 783499 does not resolve this problem.

Amount Conversion File error using VALUE keyword in BPC 7.5M

Hi Experts,
We just migrate from BPC 7.0M to BPC 7.5M. We also change the server to multi-server arquitecture 64-bit (Application server and BD Server).
When we try to Import or Validate Transformation File with Amount conversion file using VALUE keyword, the system returns: "Error: Validate with data file failed". The content of conversion file columns:
EXTERNAL= *
INTERNAL= *
FORMULA = VALUE*0.001
At first, we thogut that was a problem with 0.001 but we tried diferent formulas with the same error:
FORMULA = VALUE*1
FORMULA = VALUE*2
FORMULA = 0.001*VALUE
We also tried to use VALUE keyword with case sensitive and the result was the same. And when we don't use VALUE keyword the validation is OK.
Any idea? Thanks in advance.

The conversion file AMOUNT_TEST.XLS has only one line. With this conversion we want to change value from u20AC to Ku20AC.
You should think that we used these transformation and conversion files in BPC 7.0M and it works fine.
I'd like to remember that if we don't use AMOUNT_TEST.XLS or delete VALUE keyword, these transformation file works fine too.
nilanjan, I tried to validate data file with one record and the system show me the same error.
Roberto, our first migration was from BPC 7.0M to BPC 7.5M SP3, but we didn't test it. Then we apply SP7 because to solve other issues, and when we try to validate data load we detect that issue.

Hi Friends,
It's not related with PINCH.
If you go to PA0001 through SE16 there you see one field named "GRPVL - Grouping Value for Personnel Assignments" field.
I need to do change in this field.
It is not at all related to PINCH.
Expecting more answers on this. As my client want me to do change in this field from SE16. But I am looking for a workaround as it is Production server.
