ESS & Holiday Calendar

Hi all,
I am working on mySAP ECC 6.0 & in golden client the ESS node is not appearing but it is appearing in IDES.  I have activated the ECC Extension but still it is not appearing.
Another thing I have configured Holiday Calendar in Golden client.  How to transport the holiday calendar to other servers like Quality & Production as, while creating holiday calendar it does not ask for any request and in my golden client the manual transport button is deactivated.

Hi SB,
I am not sure about the ESS node ,but for calendar it is a standard SAP functionality where you cannot transport individual hoiday,holiday calendar or Factory calendar but All public holidays, public holiday and factory calendars will be transported. All public holidays, public holiday and factory calendars will first be deleted in the target system.and hence this transport button is not available definition page of on each it,but it is there on the first screen when you open main menu of SAP Calendar by TCode: SCAL
But you can do this by using FighterFighter Login ID or else controlling the changes at Transport Request level in which you need to restrict the changes made in your calendars only and then transport.
Hope this helps you as it has been tested in my live environment .

    Is there any configuration to show the public holidays on ESS. The Calender overview somehow does not show the public holiday calendar.
    Or it has to be shown using a new (customized) iview?

    We used the method TEAM_CALE_ENRICHMENT of badi PT_ABS_REQ for adding weekends and holidays to the teamcalendar. And we made an enhancement in routine COLORIZE_EECALE (include LPT_ARQ_REQUEST_UIAF11) to add holidays and weekends to the employee calendar.

  • Holiday Calendar Iview-Opens with Logon Page

    Hi All,
    We were using a.abc.com domain for our portal, then we changed to d.xyz.com. Everything works fine except the Holiday Calendar iview (under ESS-Working Time). It opens up with the logon page, once we login it takes us to the calendar screen, which is not recommended. According to my understanding this occurs as MYSAPSSO2 cookie is getting deleted there, plz correct me if I am wrong. Also plz help me with your valuable answers.

    Hi Athulya.A,
    you are now using for your portal d.xyz.com and I think for your ESS a.abc.com.
    You get an SAP Logon Ticket for d.xyz.com and this is not valid for other domains like a.abc.com.
    That's why you must login in your ESS.
    The solution is
    a) all the systems must be in the same domain
    or
    b) you must configure the portal so that the portal will create two SAP logon tickets one for d.xyz.com and one for a.abc.com.

    I need help.
    Public Holiday calendar not to be taken into account for Sick Leave.
    Eg -When I employee applies for sick leave, the public holiday in between the dates shouldnt be considered. How can I configure this requirement.

    For that group, you need 2 counting rules:
    - one for Holiday Class 0 (not a public holiday) and Day Work Schedule Class 0 (not a working day)
    - one for Holiday Class 0 (not a public holiday) and Day Work Schedule Class 1 to 9 (a working day)
    If you want, you can add an other one or two for Holiday Class 1 to 9 (public holiday)

    Hi Experts, We have scenario where we need to change the holiday calendar. Add additional holiday. This can be done through SCAL and after that we can generate work schedule through PT01 for the month where the holiday is added. We are not using time evaluation. Our time manangement status is 0 in IT0007. The input I require is how to correct the absence quotas of employees for which they have applied leave for the period where the new given holiday is created. Please advise. Thanks in advance.     Hi,
    Standard SAP provides TCode PT_UPD00 for this purpose. It calls program RPTUPD00 which creates a batch input session for revaluating absence and attendance records. You can use this program to resave all the leaves which overlap the given date which is now a public holiday.

  • ICal 'Show Holidays calendar' not showing holidays in Australia after upgrading to Yosemite.

    Hello, I had been in Italy before moving to Australia and I had set Show Holidays calendar in iCal to display Italian holidays. When I've moved to Australia, I've changed the regional settings to Australia and therefore iCal was showing Australian holidays. After I've upgraded to Yosemite, I can't see any holidays anymore. I tried to uptick 'Show Holidays calendar' and reboot Yosemite, then tick it back and it is still not working for Australia. if I change my regional settings for instance for Italy, it works. It just refuses to display Australian Holidays so for now I'm forced to use Google calendar subscription for public holidays.
    How can I restore the iCal 'Show Holidays calendar' ?

    Hi guys,
    I had this problem too. I resolved it by going into System Preferences  > Language & Region and making sure the primary language was "English (U.K.)" under primary languages (i.e. at the top of the list of preferred languages).
    I always had this set before, but I think upgrading to Yosemite changed this setting to "English" (without the "U.K.) which I guess is a generic "countryless" language. I believe the holidays setting in the calendar needs to know which country's holidays to display.

    Bear with me because my system is Italian, but we'll work it out together: iCAL will provide you with myriads of calendars, even those of football team schedules in Oklahoma.
    In my system, I go into iCAL, click on the menu at the top "Calendario" ("Calendar" obviously) and study the roll-down menu. I found "Trova iscrizioni" which might simply be something like "find calendars" "find entries". In any case, it is the item at the bottom of the roll-down "Calendar" menu.
    Be prepared for a bit of scrolling, unless there is an index I missed.

  • Can we manually select the Holiday calendar in iOS 7.1?

    As per my title, is this possible without changing the regional setting? As I'm using Singapore as my regional setting but I'm from Malaysia thus the holiday calendar is showing SG by default. Is there any way to change it to Malaysia without changing the regional setting? Else if I change the regional setting it will affect my language and also the formatting.

    Switching to day view doesn't crash calendar but I can't launch the calendar app in iOS 7.1 (on my iPad 2) if synch is in and it was last in day view. It crashes on launch.

    HI Bharath,
    First delete the holiday(which u want to delete ) in the list of holidays calender ID.
    Than Create the same in the holidays than again assign the to your Holiday calender ID.

    I checked all the configurations and no where i mention about 2009. Any tips and suggestions.

    the error clearly saying that you dont have holiday calendar for 01.01.2012,, so please change it using PT02 to avoid the error.
    then you check what exactly system is doing.
    you have to create a wsr with one month extra validity than the exact periods required to avoid the future errors as you are getting now.
    system always takes one month extra validity it is standard functionality.

    As Surisetti told that, that public holiday might not created in that year. So check the same in SCAL and again re-generate the work schedule.

  • Problem with holiday calendar

    I need to configure different holiday calendars for worker and managemnet employee group in the same personnel area and sub area.I am not able to configure this as under "Set work schedule rule" node we can specify only holiday calendar per personnel area and sub area.
    Please let me know if there is any way to achieve this.

    Actaully i was talking about view V_001P_M. in this view when we maintain holiday calendars for personnel area and sub areas, infotype 0007 will show (in search help) only those work schedule rules which has got the same holiday calendar in it.
    example:
    I have already created two calendars say ZM for management and ZW for workers for personnel area (say) MUMB and personnel sub area (say) 0001. i have assigned ZM holiday calendar in V_001P_M for PA MUMB and PSA 0001.
    I have also generated two WSR with ESG grp 1 from Management and 2 for workers. WSR for management is generated with ZM calendar and for workers with ZW calendar.
    now when i got to infotype 7 to assign workschedule rule for a worker in same PA and PSA it display only 1 workschedule rule in the serach help which is for management (coz i have mentioned ZM in V_001P_M). Now how to assign woker's workschedule rule?

  • No 'Holidays' Calendar

    I want to enable the 'Holidays' calendar in Calendar on my Mac Pro. I opened Preferences>General and both "Show Birthdays Calendar" and "Show Holidays Calendar" are already checked. I have a 'Birthdays' calendar, but no 'Holidays' calendar. I've unchecked and rechecked the option, to no effect.
    The 'Holidays' calendar appears in Calendar on my iMac, so I checked there to see what was different, but the settings are the same. On the iMac, I unchecked "Show Holidays Calendar" to see if the 'Holidays' calendar disappeared and it did. Then I rechecked the box ... and the calendar didn't reappear. I now don't have a Holidays calendar on my iMac either, and it looks like some upgrade has broken this functionality.
    I found 'New Calendar Subscription' in the File menu, but it wants a URL and I don't know the URL of the 'Holidays' calendar.
    Can anyone help me out of this mess? It's the Australian holidays calendar I need.

    Thanks, I found an Australian Holiday's calendar there.
    You're right that it's not the 'Holidays' calendar that I previously had. That was at the bottom of the Calendars list (with the Birthdays calendar), under 'Other'. This new subscription puts a 'Holidays' calendar in the 'iCloud' section.
    However, it works and appears to be up to date, so thanks!
    I've marked your answer as helpful, but won't mark the problem as solved, as there's still the problem of the non-appearance of the 'Holidays' calendar with the "Show Holidays Calendar" checked. I'm interested to see anyone else can uncheck and recheck "Show Holidays Calendar" without losing the calendar. Did you try?
