To remove search in ESS overview check the Overview IView and do modifications to that iview by CTRL+RightClick

Hi, I've read you filed an ER (in 2004, it's 2007 now) to be able to remove/adjust the header in a selection column. Until now I can only find threads/posts about people facing the same issue, the header can't be adjusted. The answer of one of the Oracle-employees is that it isn't supported and we can extend the adf-source code but this isn't supported by Oracle.
What's the official answer of Oracle on this?
This is a very popular issue that needs to be adressed to pleaze the customer that was convinced to use Oracle ADF ... and now we can't answer his requests?
This issue has been around for quite a long time now, from 2004, there has to be a solution for this, wright?

How to remove the search bar from new tab page?

I've added extra pinned site rows and columns on the new tab page.
The new search bar is redundant and space hogging.

1. Go to Firefox Profile Folder (go to about:support in Firefox then click Open folder/Show in Finder to get there)
2. Open or create the chrome folder in the Firefox Profile Folder.
3. Create a blank text file, copy and paste this code into the text file.

4. Save it as userContent.css (using ALL FILES under the drop down menu)
5. Place the new css file into the chrome folder.

Fox_1923: You're not supposed to create a new chrome file but a <b>userContent.css</b> file in the <b>chrome</b> folder.
You can use mine and <b>cor-el's</b> code together in the userContent.css file to get rid of the large margin in the top along with the search box. I've used it just fine in the latest Nightly and so have others who dislike the search box.
One thing you could be doing wrong is not setting the file type to all Files and Notepad or whatever else you are using is adding an unneeded extension (for Windows, .txt = userContent.css.txt doesn't work!)

How to remove the search bar in the tab strip?

My latest firefox update includes a search bar IN THE TAB STRIP on top of the page (not the one in the navigation toolbar). It takes up too much space for the tabs and it is useless (since there is already a search bar below it in the navigation toolbar). How do I remove it?

I was able to fix the problem in Safe Mode. It was an extension disguised as a Firefox original part, named itself as "firefox default tabs." I am not sure how I got it since I have not downloaded anything recently. My Kaspersky did not block anything as well. But, huge thanks!

How to disable the Search option in UWL header?

I am trying to removed the search option in the standard UWL iView by setting the "Allow Search" property of the standard iView to "No". However this doesn't remove the search option in the UWL header. Is this right property to configure? If anybody has already been sucessful, please share the information.

How to remove the worksets from the Top level navigation for the ESS role.

I am working on enabling and disabling certain services in the ESS worksets.
we are using EP 7.0, ECC 6.0 (NW2004s).
When I login as a user with ESS role, I can view the changes in the overview pages. However, the worksets are still visible in the TOP Level navigation of th poral. can anyone please explain me how to remove the workset from the Top level navigation.

Hi,
Go to the ESS role via Content Admin, then double click the workset (or page or iview) and in the drop down select navigation. Then click the <i>Yes</i> radio button of the "<i>Invisible in Navigation</i>" property.

(1) Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on this tab. Not sure what it does? If in doubt, disable:

What I did so far was to use snippet into the page (using Script editor) to do the following:
a. Disable Top Navigation bar
b. Disable the Title
c. Remove the left nav bar
d. Remove the search box on top right

Hi Saritha,
In SE80, Choose Web Dynpro Component HAP_DOCUMENT_BODY and you will find the component controller node, double click it and goto methods tab. Here you can find the method CONVERT_CONTEXT_TO_UI, this method will be triggered twice. Search for the code "CALL METHOD lo_nd_t_cells->get_static_attributes_table", this is the method which defaults the "Note" based on the row and column iid. You can overwrite the code by writing the implicit enhancement.

shipment cost calculation only on the Leg level and not on header level. Currently a lot of confusion happened after creating the shipment cost document and found that the status is u201CBu201D.
now we intend to define detailed specifications to how to create this new user exit to update the shipment cost relevancy at shipment header.
The main functionality of the user exit to be created is to remove the check from ShpmntCostsRel. (field VTTK-    FRKRL).can u pls tell how to do this.

When I login to Gmail, the login page shows option to type in my gmail id and then password, and at the bottom, it gives the option of checkbox to remember the password next time. NOW, the problem is that, THIS CHECK box is always TICKED (Checked). I don't want it to be checked at all.

Hi Imran_Afzal, if you know that setting the cookie has no effect after you close your private browsing session, is it really worth finding a hack to clear the checkbox?
I believe in order to do that you would need to use an extension or userscript. However, I haven't searched for one.
