    Hi,
You will have to develop a report which will take (ITS case)
    a) read sy-uname and then the pernr from 105 infotype subtype 0001
    b) Call transaction for pa30 pass the pernr u got from pervious step and the infotype no and skip first screen then you will directly get 585.
    c) and u will also have to give authorization to the employee for the infotype in the change mode.
    d) You will then create a transactional iview for the given report.
Otherwise for java you can develop an application which will read an update using BAPI. and hr_infotype_operation.

  • Enabling screen for single click in OOABAP alvs

    Hello All,
I have a requirement where I am displaying ALV grid in screen 100. In this grid I have defined double click event in which I call 101 screen (with coordinates i.e. starting at 10 10) which displays another grid. The problem here is that in screen 101 the buttons and screen fields are not responding to single click. I mean that for every action (change the cell value in 101 screen ot selecting a row or clicking on pushbutton in this 101 screen) I have to click twice. But I want all this actions to be performed with single click. If anyone knows the solution to know please let me know.

It was three options either send W2 by mail, pick up or intercompany may. All are in radio button group.
Can anyone who have acess to NWDI and ESS let me know how to delete that option.
That would be of great help.
    Thanks,

    Hello Vishwas,
I tried it the way you suggested. I was able to delete the description. But instead now the value of the radio button shows up.
I mean in local dictionary. It

  • Cannot enable Java 1.6 (Java SE 6) for Applets

On my system (Leopard 10.5.7 - latest patches), Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 4 it seems to be impossible to enable Java 1.6 (aka Java SE 6) for use by applets in the browser. I moved the SE 6 to the top in the Java Preferences app.
In the Browser (both Safari 4 and Firefox 3), go to http://javatester.org/version.html or http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml
to get the Java Version available to applets. It shows:
    Java Version: 1.5.0_19 from Apple
On the command line we see that the right version is selected:
    $ java -version
    java version "1.6.0_13"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_13-b03-211)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 11.3-b02-83, mixed mode)
This is a long standing problem and there is no fix yet. This basically prevents Mac Users from using Java Applets that require Java SE 6 / Java 1.6.

Richard is correct: Java 1.6 in Mac OS X 10.5 is only 64-bit and I know of no full 64-bit web browsers currently available. One person has complied a very rudimentary browser just for running 64-bit web applets, though:
    http://www.ornl.gov/~t6p/Main/Utilities.html
Otherwise you can only run 64-bit Java apps as standalone, not as web applets.

  • Standard MSS screen for bulk approvals

    Hi Forums,
In MSS, is there any screen for approvals (also bulk approval). Currently ESS requests like swipe in swipe out are coming to UWL as work item.
    Thanks and Regards
    Sudhir

    Hi,
Anything needs be done to the UWL or Workflow as the approval is done in the Webdynpro Java application sap.com/ess~lea/LeaveRequestApprover
where u always get a consolidated list of leave request to be approved/ reject.. Sidharth / RJ please correct me if I am wrong .. ...
So you can modify this application in nwdi ..by adding a new collumn with a check box .. and when the submit button is pressed u can run the loop and approve/reject them one by one programatically ....
But as far as mass postings from the ECC are concerned you can go to the transaction PTARQ and 'Post' all the documents. Else, run the report PTARQPOST.

    1. check your t3 port no, in my case it's 7001.
    so i changed "<jndi-url>t3://localhost:9704</jndi-url>" to "<jndi-url>t3://localhost:7001</jndi-url>"
    2. if you run obiee 11.1.1.6.0 above, you don't need below.
    <credentialmap>oracle.bi.actions</credentialmap>
    so please drop this line.
    3. restart your server and check there's no error log when loading ActionFrameworkConfig.xml.
    Good Luck !!!

  • RE: Java-based Client for Forte/IIOP

We have deployed an application using JDK 1.1.6,
    Swing 1.0.3, Visibroker 3.2, and Forte 3.0.G.2.
We are also using Forte's Java Interoperability
    Service.
    We have a closely-held client base (i.e. not a
million random yahoos off the internet), so we can
secure a Java port between client and server and
download a fairly significant client. The Java
client is deployed with Sun's JRE (to control the
    environment) with the following configuration:
    2.6 MB JRE
    765 KB Forte.zip
    2.0 MB swingall.jar
    1.6 MB vbjtools.jar, vbjorb.jar
    100 KB application classes
    1) The Swing controls don't interoperate well
with the AWT and Symantec widgets, especially in
an internal frame. They paint slowly on top of
each other, move jerkily, and paint before moving
to the programmed coordinates so it looks silly.
100% Swing controls play well with other Swing
    controls and are reasonably fast.
    2) We used Symantec Cafe 2.5a to paint the
screens, and had some problems with the
setLayout(null) on things like the Swing tab
folder and split panel. Commenting out the line
fixed it, but I'm hoping Cafe 3.0 will fix it (I
have a person installing it but haven't gotten a
    report...)
    3) The initial search time to turn an IOR file
into a reference is an annoying 10 seconds, and
the first method call takes about 7 seconds, but
after that is less than a tenth of a second.
Haven't done any digging to find out why yet.
    4) If we were deploying this as an applet, we
would probably use the IDL IIOP export--when using
the Java Interoperability service, any method call
seems to load the whole 765K across the
line...class by class. Ugly. IDL just gets what
    it needs and is smaller.
    5) Also, if deploying as an applet, we wouldn't
have to download the JRE or visibroker jar files,
and would only download the swing and Forte IDL
generated classes as needed, so it would be a much
smaller footprint than the 7MB above. (Note:
However, we would be at the mercy of the browser
being used by client.) Different strokes for
    different folks...

    Sean,
My worry is that Swing, while eloquently designed,
    represents an attempt to
write a totally new display system which, at least
    in the case of my
project, will run on top of Windows. I really like
    the Java (or a Java-like
i.e. J++) language, but I feel safer using the
    native MS widgets. It does
not seem that anyone on this forum has used Swing
    extensively and can
testify to its stability and performance.

Haven't done any digging to find out why yet.
    4) If we were deploying this as an applet, we
would probably use the IDL IIOP export--when using
the Java Interoperability service, any method call
seems to load the whole 765K across the
line...class by class. Ugly. IDL just gets what
    it needs and is smaller.
    5) Also, if deploying as an applet, we wouldn't
have to download the JRE or visibroker jar files,
and would only download the swing and Forte IDL
generated classes as needed, so it would be a much
smaller footprint than the 7MB above. (Note:
However, we would be at the mercy of the browser
being used by client.) Different strokes for
    different folks...

    Sean,
My worry is that Swing, while eloquently designed,
    represents an attempt to
write a totally new display system which, at least
    in the case of my
project, will run on top of Windows. I really like
    the Java (or a Java-like
i.e. J++) language, but I feel safer using the
    native MS widgets. It does
not seem that anyone on this forum has used Swing
    extensively and can
testify to its stability and performance.
    Regards,
    David

  • [solved] Blank screen for few seconds between GDM and Gnome-Shell

    Hi there,
I don't know if this phenomenon is "normal" or not, so I ask : I am using Gnome 3.6 and after I have logged in on GDM I see a blank screen for roundabout 3 seconds before the gnome-shell starts. The whole system is running fine - so this is no "real" problem -, but this 3 seconds of a black screen between GDM and the gnome-shell are somewhat annoying and I want to find out if this behaviour is normal or not .
Indeed, if I look into journalctl, I find this messages:
Dez 03 21:45:53 sushi gdm-simple-slave[272]: WARNING: Failed to give slave programs access to the display. Trying to proceed.
    Dez 03 21:45:53 sushi gdm-launch-environment][305]: GLib-CRITICAL: g_variant_compare: assertion `!g_variant_is_container (a)' failed
    Dez 03 21:45:53 sushi gdm-launch-environment][305]: GLib-CRITICAL: g_variant_compare: assertion `!g_variant_is_container (a)' failed
Dez 03 21:46:03 sushi gnome-session[311]: WARNING: Detected that screensaver has left the bus
    Dez 03 21:46:03 sushi gnome-session[311]: CRITICAL: gsm_manager_set_phase: assertion `GSM_IS_MANAGER (manager)' failed
Dez 03 21:46:03 sushi gdm-simple-slave[272]: WARNING: Failed to remove slave program access to the display. Trying to proceed.
Dez 03 21:46:03 sushi gdm-simple-slave[272]: WARNING: Child process -311 was already dead.
    Dez 03 22:00:50 sushi systemd-tmpfiles[1793]: stat(/run/user/1000/gvfs) failed: Permission denied
Actually, I don't know if this is relevant for my little "black-screen" problem (but it looks as if ...).
    And
    $ systemctl status gdm.service
shows nothing to worry about (as far as I can see):
    gdm.service - GNOME Display Manager
          Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/gdm.service; enabled)
Active: active (running) since Mo, 2012-12-03 21:45:51 CET; 40min ago
        Main PID: 266 (gdm-binary)
          CGroup: name=systemd:/system/gdm.service
              ├─266 /usr/sbin/gdm-binary
              ├─272 /usr/lib/gdm/gdm-simple-slave --display-id /org/gnome/DisplayManager/Displays/_0
              ├─279 /usr/bin/Xorg :0 -background none -verbose -auth /var/run/gdm/auth-for-gdm-xTnD7p/database -seat seat0 -nolisten tcp vt1
              └─440 gdm-session-worker [pam/gdm-password]
The hardware is an Asrock H77M-ITX board with an Intel GPU. Systemd is up and running well, no failing service units.
Any ideas, what's going on here?

Finally I found out what's going on - and it's so simple
It's just my monitor which is runing on a default resolution of 1920x1080. When I switched to 1600x900 using Gnome's system tools, the monitor needs roundabout two seconds to adjust to this resolution
