ESS Leave Request - creating a Leave Request for another employee

Hi,
We're working on ECC6 + EP7 + ESS/MSS Leave Request scenario
and we've a problem about "substitution". Not the substitution for dealing with somebody else workitems in UWL, but "substitution" for "acting" like somebody else.
We want to authorize an assistant to enter a leave request in place of an other employee.
as if this assistant were connected in ESS/LaavRequest with the user of the employee.
To explain, in 46c/ITS620, our scenario was the following :
- We modified the SAP standard internet service Leave Request to add a combo box, so when the assistant connected to the ITS page with her user, she had a list of all employees.
- we modified the SAP standard to change the variables containing the connected user information, so the creation of an absence request was made for the user selected in the list.
We want to keep this possibility in the new ESS.
Any idea if something exists in the SAP standard ?

This scenario is not available in ESS, ie This kind of functionality is not available from ESS
But you can achieve it using your added link In MSS > General information
there you have many services for individual employees

PR02 and FITE_EXPRESS_EXPENSES will allow for several TRIPS created at once for ONE Pernr, this is what Sally mentioned.

However, Siegfried is right in my opinion, as per your original requirement to create several trips at once for DIFFERENT Pernr is not provided by SAP.

The report to get the leave approver is 'RPTARQ'.
Enter the personnel no and the application ID which can be 'ESS_LR' and execute.
Also, you may determine the same without using the report as a whole.
Check the MSTBR field of the table PA0001 of the corresponding PERNR and you will get the supervisor of the employee who generally is the leave approver.

How can we load apps without creating an Apple ID for each employee?

We have at least two apps that we'd like to distribute to our company iPads. We would like to hand the employee the iPad with everything loaded. We don't care if they create their own Apple ID and manage it after the fact but when the employee gets the iPad, it should have the apps they require.
How do we load these apps without creating an Apple ID for each employee? If we load the apps from App Store with our Apple ID, the app requires that username and password whenever there is an update. The employee can not update the app without our username and password or they have to delete and reinstall the app with their own credentials. Is there a way to load an app so that it doesn't require the credentials of the person that loaded it whenever there's an update?

Create a basic pay for the employee

while creating a basic pay for an employee, i am giving Payroll area,scale,group then giving 5555- basic pay wage,5556(pf allowance), 5557 (hra allowance) and when i click SAVE, I am getting an error saying "individual wage type 5555 not in table T510' but it is in the table T510 and i have define wage type characteristic for wage 5555 - module TARIF and for 5556 - SUMME.
If I remove 5555 and give 5556,5557 then it is saved...
Please need ur guidance...kindly help..

sometimes while copy the wage type the dates get change automatically i suggest you check the date of the wage type characteristics and valuation of wage type, check revise pay scale and level also

Creating a materialized view for another user

I don't seem to find the correct setup for this....
With the user "dummy"
CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW dummy.thetable BUILD IMMEDIATE REFRESH FORCE ON DEMAND AS select * from real.thetable;
And the materialized view is created ok.
With a DBA user:
CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW dummy.thetable BUILD IMMEDIATE REFRESH FORCE ON DEMAND AS select * from real.thetable;
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
I don't want to be switching back and forth from the user to create materialized views, am I missing a permission here? DBA of course has create any materialized view

From the SQL Reference Guide:
To create a materialized view in another user’s schema:
- You must have the CREATE ANY MATERIALIZED VIEW system privilege.
- The owner of the materialized view must have the CREATE TABLE system privilege. The owner must also have access to any master tables of the materialized view that the schema owner does not own (for example, if the master tables are on a remote database), and to any materialized view logs defined on those master tables, either through a SELECT object privilege on each of the tables or through the SELECT ANY TABLE system privilege.
I suspect that, if you first GRANT CREATE TABLE TO DUMMY, you will be able to create the MV.

Welcome to the Apple community 1960gmd.
Once an iCloud address is used for an Apple ID, you can't use it for any other.
Why would you want to use another Apple ID if you already have the address you want to use in another.
If you want your email on all devices but use a different ID for iCloud add it as a secondary account at settings > mail, contacts, calendars and just enable mail.

Is It Possible To Create Different Personnel Number For One Employee

My Client need to get Different Personnel number for one employee,i.e for Trainee one Personnel number need to generate and same person when moving from Trainee to Probation another new personnel number should generate and again when same person move from Probation to Permanent another new personnel number should generate.
1. How to generate 3 different Personnel number for One employee?
2. How these 3 Personnel number should get linked, if want to get report for this one employee?

Your requirement can be fulfilled but not recommended...
As you want to generate different position number at different stage of employment....
i.e Trainee to Probation to Permanent...
First go for Trainee Position Hiring .... and generate first Number Say 5000000
Then suppose employee complete training after 1 Yrs.. then again go PA 40 enter date as 01.01.2015 say... & execute... & give Ref. Personnel Number (5000000) & different position number... this time...
This will link up all the personnel date from previous hiring record... & as per your need you can modify it.... Finally one more number be generated....
Similarly,, you can do for Permanent employee...
Once training or Probation period gets completed you can lock/ separate that employee number
Report ...
You can get necessary details in IT0031...& with different Position numbers which you will using at different stage of hiring...

I would like to create a fillable pdf for my employees that are using the ipad

I need to have my employees turn in forms/reports on a daily basis so I would like to create these forms where they could enter the input but are not able to alter the form (Adobe calls this a "fillable pdf")on the ipad and then be able to email it to me. Any ideas on a good app

PDF Reader Pro Edition says that it can handle PDF forms and allows emailing of documents:

I haven't tried it myself but it's gotten good ratings. You would create the forms on your computer using Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Creating a short cut for another users calendar

Hello,
I don't know if you can do this but it would really help if it is possible.
I created a calendar for travel information. It is planned that all in the office will use it when out of the office. They will create an entry in their calendar and use the travel calendar as a resource so all travel appears in one resource (travel calendar).
In order to open this calendar for viewing I have to goto file- open -other users folder. Then the travel calendar opens. I would like to create this calendar as a shortcut or icon so I dont need to open it from the file open...... each time. Is this possible? anyone have another idea?

You cannot do shortcuts of this type with the current 9.0.4.x release. However, the future 10gR1 will make things significantly better.
With the 10gR1 release, shortcuts will be supported. You will be able to browse through your folderlist to access users calendars (rather than going through the FILE | OPEN every time). And if you use Outlook 2003, the 10gR1 release will also support the 'side-by-side' calendar views and the 'My Calendar' shortcuts.
OCFO 10gR1 is currently in beta, and is expected out later this year.

ESS Leave Request workflow customization

Hi Guys,
We are trying to customize the standard Leave Request Workflow WS12300111 in the ESS application for ECC6. The standard workflow passes the data to the workflow via the object REQ of type CL_PT_REQ_WF_ATTRIBS. I need to extract the leave information from the object.
I tried creating an enhancement implementation for the Class CL_PT_REQ_WF_ATTRIBS and added my own method. But I can't see this method when I create a workflow task.
I also tried copying the whole class and adding my code, but am not sure how to instantiate the new class in workflow. Pls help .

Do you want to change the Agent using a BADI ??
or you want to send the leave request for another approval ??
If you want to send the leave for another approval then just reset the status of the leave to SENT again using same class and using following code
CALL METHOD cl_pt_req_badi=>initiate_state_transition
    EXPORTING
      im_request    = request
      im_event      = 'SENT'
   IM_RET_VALUE = 0
    IMPORTING
      ex_new_status = me->status.
After this, u can send this workitem to another processor..
Another scenario could be:
U want to determine a new agent for your workitem.
In this case, u will have to implement BADI "PT_GEN_REQ"
Read the documentation of this BADI.. this might help.
And please tell me the requirement once again.. what you want to achieve.

Error in Travel Request for Non Payroll Relevant Employees

While implementing Travel Management, we have employees who have their payroll areas as 01 (monthly) as well as 99 (non payroll relevant). We are implementing travel management for both types of employees so that they can create travel requests/expenses.
For employees who have 99, we are facing problem. If we create a request for an employee of 99 it does not allow to save and gives error
'No entry in table T549Q for argument 00 at time <current date>'
In table V_T549Q there is no such period parameter called 99.
However in table V_T549A the 'Period Parameters' for 99 is kept blank, while for 01, it is 01. I tried assigning 01 as the 'Period Parameters' for 99 in V_T549A.
Now, as this 'Period Parameters' 01 is there in V_T549Q, and I try to create a travel request, it gives another error,
'Error while writing to the database (PTRV_HEAD/PTRV_PERIO/Cluster TE)'
In feature TRVPA, the entry L+G is 0, i.e. no integration with payroll and PA3 is also 0.
Am I missing anything because of which I am not able to create travel requests for employees with payroll area 99.
How can I disable the integration with payroll completely?

Error message while creating commitment for an employee using PBC

We implemented Position and Budgeting control (PBC) in SAP ECC 6.0. While running the commitment creation against each employee using infotype 724 (Financing status), we are getting error message for few employees as below.
Line item (20/1000000010/ 1) has not yet been approved in Accting; See long text
Message no. HRFPM495
Diagnosis
The posting status of the line item has a value that does not allow further changes.
This can be for example when the change transferred to Accounting has not yet been approved there, or the posting status has not yet been reconciled with the processing status of the document in Accounting.
System Response
Further changes for this document will continue to be rejected until the change transferred to Accounting has been approved.
Procedure
Perform the Report for Reconciling the Posting Status and the Approval Status to reconcile the status of the document with the current status of the document in Accounting.
We executed the program RHRFPM_WF_RECON and try to post the document but the document status u201CZu201D is not changing and the amount is showing under u201CParked changeu201D field. The workflow is not active in PBC and in Fund Management. For few employees, we are able to create commitment successfully and for few employees the above error message is coming. We are not able to understand why only for few employees are happening like this.
The relevant note for this error message is 1261042 but when we checked itu2019s already applied in the system. Now our system highest support package is SAPK-60037INSAPHRGXX (for soft ware component EA-HRGXX), SAPKE60037 (SAP-HR), SAPKGPHD37 (EA-HR). We have not implemented any EHP for ECC 6.0.
