ESS/MSS for International Country grouping

Hi all,
Scenario: We are implementing Portal ESS/MSS on ECC6 and have loaded the Best Practices with the below components.
SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.0 SP12 with the following additional software components
     BP ERP05 Common Parts 1.0 SP08 (BP_ERP5COM)
     BP ERP05 ESS 1.0 SP08 (BP_ERP5ESS))
     BP ERP05 MSS 1.0 SP08 (BP_ERP5MSS)
     SAP ESS 600 SP08 (SAP_ESS)
     SAP MSS 600 SP08 (SAP_MSS)
     SAP PCUI_GP 600 SP08 (SAPPCUI_GP)
Now, the ESS and MSS is to be implemented for a Country Grouping 99 - International and not any specific country.
Problem: The iViews are not loading for International, when the R/3 config setting is for 99. While it seems to be calling the right iViews for 10 - USA or 12 - Belgium.
Can you please assist on how to link up the Users to the roles and correct iViews.

Steps in brief:
0. Once you have implemented the Busin. Packages from SAP you will get all the Portal Content which is country specific. This is the same content being called from R/3 using country specific resources.
1. Go to R/3 -> Pers Admin -> ESS -> General Settings -> Home Page for SS -> Services -> Define Country Srvcs.
Go into Define Country specific srvcs and you will see the view V_T7XSSSERSRVCG
2. This table contains all the country specific implementations offerred by SAP. You can use some of these and copy/create for CGrpng 99 as below. This should be based on what services you want to use on ESS.
EMPLOYEE_PERSINFO_ADDRESS         99    EMPLOYEE_ADDRESS_BE_SERVICE
EMPLOYEE_PERSINFO_ADDRESS05       99    EMPLOYEE_ADDRESS_BE_SERVICE05

3. Also make sure your CGrpng in Pers Area/ PSA is set to 99, basically Employee shold belong to 99.

This is a vast question - in terms of all ESS and MSS
For say Personal Data in Webdynpro JAVA there is ess~fi* java applications delivered with SAP_ESS 600,603,633 for Personal Data infotypes that can be run using Business Package 1.4 or below
For say Personal Profile in Webdynpro ABAP there are DTL screens delivered for Finland for the personal data infotypes in EHP5 business switch
HCM_ESS_WDA_1 and ESS Business Package 1.51
There may also be additional localized ESS applications for Finland
Mostly though the rest of ESS/MSS is international and just needs to be adapted for use with your company

Table name for Internal order group and Profit center group

Hello Friends,
Could any one provide me the table for Internal order group and Profit center group.
We are developing new customized report and user requested internal order group and Profit center group in the selection criteria.
I have checked for this tables but found only these fields in structures.

Or use FM [G_SET_TREE_IMPORT|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/advancedsearch?query=g_set_tree_import] to read the hierarchy/Group. (Read FM and FG documentation, you can also add break-point and call some S_ALRxxx transaction which use this FM for the objects you need).

Help needed-ESS/MSS for Travel Mgt

Hello People,
I have a scenario where the Trip request is either raised by employee or the supervisor on behalf of employee, which then goes for 3 levels of approval. Now when you execute transaction TRIP in R/3, sap creates a travel request and that goes for an approval to A002 /A012. Thus it gets approved.
Now I want to do the same thing in ESS/MSS. I know in ESS there is a standard Tab available for Travel. Can anyone help me with details of config to have employee raise trip request and that going to UWL of MSS or POWL of ESS where it gets approved. Also what are the possibilities to cover the whole scenario in ESS/MSS.
I am intending to do it in standard so Transaction IVIEW of TRIP is not desired by me. Urgent help is requested. Comprehensive guide for this config would be like a icing on a cake. Thx.Scenario steps is as below
1) employee or Supervisor of employee raises Trip request in ESS
2) It goes for 3 levels of approval either in POWL of ESS or UWL of MSS
3)Approved/Rejected.
4)Automails

You can have the WD
FITV_POWL_APPROVER
used in 2 ways:
1) reading the POWL data defined with personalization
To personalize that you will need to run this WD
FPB_DIALOG_COMP with App. ID: FITV_POWL_PERSONALIZATION
2) otherwise if you want to have FITV_POWL_APPROVER reading the trips from the inbox instead
you can enhance its feeder class
CL_FITV_POWL_TRIPS_TOBEAPPROVE
With 2nd option you can always create a workflow around BOR object: bus2089.
And in that workflow you can put your sending emails, etc...

ESS implementation for same country twice

Hi Gurus,
I am implementing the ESS in 4.7C version using ITS.
I am using the table T77WWW_SC for implementing the ESS.
My client acquired two companies in UK and he wants to implement ESS for those two companies separately.
I implemented the ESS for 1 company n its working fine.
The country is UK with molga ( 08 ).
How can I implement ESS for 2nd company for same molga code( 08 ) using the table T77WWW_SC?

You can create on table "T77WWW_SC" but with field "No" different between each other company.

Error when Enabling SSO in ESS/MSS for My SAPERP2004

Hi Friends,
Form past 3 days i am trying to enable SSO for my Enterprise portal to MySAPERP2004.
We have installed EP rapidinstaller sp14 in our system, since it is preconfigured, we are now trying to enable SSO to myERP system after maintaining JCO destination.
We have followed the procedure which is given in webclog called COnfiguring ESS, here the configuration part contains only assigning user to Employee on MySAPERP2004 side.
But if we did the correct steps also, when we are testing it in maintaining JCO destinations in webdynpro part, it is showing the following error:
com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: The system is unable to interpret the SSO ticket received
and i searched for the solution in several forums but i couldnot get solution.
Please put your suggestions to solve this problem.

Personal Data and Address for Country Grouping 99 - error on ESS

Hello All,
I have configured personal data and address infotypes in ESS for the country grouping 99.
I have done the following config
1. Assign Screen Structure to Infotype Versions
2. Define Active Subtypes and Use Case
3. Define Country-Specific Applications
4. Created a Z service and then assigned this service to subarea.
I made use of US service and copied to z.
after the config when i log on to the portal and check the personal data or address links am getting the error:
An exception occurred that was not caught., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE

USECASE - Corresponds to the value in the table V_T7XSSPERSUBTYP.
ZEITB - Corresponds to the value in the table V_T591A (V_T582A).

Change Country grouping for International countries

Hi Experts,
Can you please help me with the information that I need for one of my implementation.
My client wants to change the country grouping for say one country DENMARK. The company codes belonging to DENMARK are currently tagged to international country grouping (99).
What are the various things, that I need to change. I need to prepare a detailed check list for the same, so that I won't miss anything while changing the country grouping.

Go thru the payroll node , i cannot give you each customizing table , but check for all the tables where the country grouping is there.
This will not be just small change , you will have to do the entire config. for the new country code.

I am working for ESS/MSS for ERP2004 system to NW2004s system.Afer importing the business packages to portal, I got only the following roles for ESS and MSS.
Employee Self-Service:
Employee Search | Working Time | Benefits and Payment | Personal Information | Career and Job | Purchasing | Work Environment | Travel and Expenses | Life and Work Events
MSS: MyStaff:
Overview | Attendance | Personnel Change Request | Recruiting | Reporting | Headcount
MyBudget:
Overview | Monitors and Reports | Equipment | Planning
According to the Worksets i got it, i couldn't find, Training and Development activity, Performance Mangement in both ESS and MSS.
How do I achieve this?
We also have a requirement of OH & S to be integrated to ESS.
Please suggest me to integrate this activities.

Hi,
Training and Development, Performance Management are not available in the latest versions of ESS and MSS.
You may have to use the old Business Packages to incorporate this, the only difference would be that those pages would be BSPs.

ESS / MSS Implementation for ECC 5.0 (ERP2004)

Hello,
We are preparing to implement ESS/MSS for ERP2004. We are using EP6.0 SP9. The notes for both ESS and MSS business packages refer to OSS Note 761266 regarding the versioning of XSS components. Are the patches for the XSS components supposed to be deployed to the portal environment, the ERP2004 environment, or both? The three patches mentioned are:
PCUI_GP05_1.sca
ESS05_1.sca
MSS05_1.sca
Should these be installed in the portal, ERP2004, or both?

Since the patches are stored under the ERP2004folder in the support packages area of Service.SAP.com, I assumed they would be applied to the ERP environment, but I want to confirm this.

Thanks for the clarification James. I thought the patches should be applied to WebAS for the ERP2004 environment, but the OSS note is vague about that fact.
Chuckie, We are implementing ESS version 60.2. ECC 5.0 refers to Enterprise Central Component 5.0, which is how SAP refers to the Core R/3 product in the ERP2004 suite.

Problem with HRFORM for country grouping 40.

Hello Everybody,
I have created HR Form ZSAP_PAYSLIP_IN for India (Country Grouping = 40 ) copied from standard HR form SAP_PAYSLIP (for Country Grouping 99). The DDIC structure /1PYXXFO/ZSAP_PAYSLIP_IN and the smartform ZPYXXFO_ZSAP_PAYSLIP_IN are generated succefully and both are activated. But while trying to generate the HR form I am getting the following error "Generated print program contains a syntax error". In the program /1PYXXFO/ZSAP_PAYSLIP_IN_PRNT its giving error in this line
NODES: PAYROLL TYPE PAYIN_RESULT.
Please help.

That's my guess, as it worked for me:
It doesn't compile, because there's a bug in the structure of the PNP logical database.
Payroll result structure specific to your country is not listed as a 'possible type' for LDB node 'Payroll'.
You can correct it easily in tracaction SE36. Choose PNP, tab: 'Structure'.
Double-click on 'PAYROLL'. Click on 'Possible types'.
Add country-specific structure (PAYIN_RESULT).
Tell me what happened
PS. Be aware that this is a modification to the system and you need a key for this object.

URGENT: multiple currency one country grouping

I have a requirement whereby i have multiple currencies for one country grouping (international payroll). How do i handle thIs requirement? Since payroll driver RPCALCx0 only calls one currency. Treat as urgent. Cheers.

To what I know, Payroll driver is always works for one currency respective to the company or CG currency.
You can have multiple currency payroll which will be transparent to users with different currencies in infotype 14/15 or 0008. This is allowed in the system and you can change the infotype currency code when maintaining the infotype.
in the payroll schema you have to convert the foreign currency to company code currency using currency conversion table in FI by using a custom function or you maintain the conversion rate in constants table.(for each period). in the 2nd case use yr PCR to convert the currency.
once payroll is completed you convert the payment currency in bank transfer internal table with yr foreign currency and use the same conversion factor.
when you run the reports using the payroll cluster you have to use the currency feild to choos the reporting currency including payslip. system will use the same conversion table in FI for displaying the foreign currency amount.

Country grouping changed from '99' to its own grouping.

Hi Experts,
We are planning to change the international country grouping ('99') for some of the countrties to their respective country groupings (say '20' for Norway, '23' for Sweden ). Currently the countries attached to international country grouping are working fine.
Now, if I have to change the grouping as mentioned above, what are the things I have to take care? Can you please provide me the detailed checklist for the same?
Also, we are not using Time and Payroll for international countries and it is taken care by a 3rd party vendor.

Hello,
To get the correct grouping value assigned to employees feature IVWID (and IGMOD) need to be configured properly.
Then to correct/update employees data the following report will need to be run
Programs RPUFACECPRFN and RPUFACEVIEKN and program RPUFIXDS correct the missing fields on personel numbers.
See notes 845592 and 783499 (they refer to CE and activation of old and new framework but I think it will help also in your case).

ESS/Mss user creation

Hello,
We are implementing ESS/MSS for our client.
Objects have been finished in Development and Quality.
Now we need to move things to production.
Now there is one doubt in my mind.
As per our client there will be around 100 SAP Users who will get SAP GUI installed on their machine.
But for ESS MSS all the employees of organization will be eligible.
Which will be around 500.
Now my doubt comes with Licensing issue.
How does SAP tackle such situation.
As a implementer of SAP do I have to bring some practice into consideration.
Does SAP charge for every licence they give to client at same cost !
All employees will not require SAP GUI on their machines. They will only access ESS/MSS.
We use same UME database for R/3 and Portal system.
Please clarify on my doubt.

For ESS:
Z_SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP (Copy of Composite role....given by SAP for ESS)
For MSS:
A separate role in Portal.
And one role in R/3 with following authorization objects for ESS and MSS:

I_QMEL     <OBJ> PM/QM: Notification Types
PLOG       <OBJ> Personnel Planning
P_HAP_DOC <OBJ> Appraisal Systems: Appraisal

P_PERNR    <OBJ> HR: Master Data - Personnel Number Check
S_BDS_DS   <OBJ> BC-SRV-KPR-BDS: Authorizations for Document Set
S_RFC      <OBJ> Authorization Check for RFC Access
S_SERVICE <OBJ> Check at Start of External Services
S_USER_GRP <OBJ> User Master Maintenance: User Groups
Now when Basis team will create a user for ESS.
They will give Z_SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP role and Authorization role that we created....
other than this do I need to take care for anything else... in user creation process.....
