Hye All?
CAn organizational Unit be displayed in ESS.
In "WHo is WHO" under Department we have Organizational Unit: indicating an org unit with hyper link. when I click on it I get an empty page with following message
Page not found or not available
Can anyne give me some feedback on it.

and check whether pcd location is correct or not in that resource

ESS Who's Who - remove link from Org Unit

In Who's Who (web dynpro version for ERP2004), I want to display Organizational Unit in an employee's detail. I do NOT however want the link to the org chart from this field to be available.
Is there a way to remove the link from the Organizational Unit field?
If not, then my issue is that the link does not work. I get the error "Service EMPLOYEE_ORGCHART_SERVICE does not exist" when I click on a link to the org chart from who's who. Can someone point towards some documentation on how to implement this?
Bottom line is that I either want to remove the link on Org Unit or make it work.
Has anyone had success with this?

In SAP Who's who setting related to employee search in Enterprise portal. Using that servise we can very will display Org unit in EP, pl ask your Portal person for doing config and check EP & R3 connections and the url assignment.

Nakisa Org Chart 2.1 - excluding org units from extract and saving chart

Hi,
Is it possible to exclude specific org units from the org chart that is extracted to Nakisa? These (and all subordinate) org units should not be included in the chart which is to be published on the intranet.
Also, what is the easiest way to create a file (e.g. PDF, PowerPoint) of all org units and positions in the structure? I've looked into using the ChartBook functionality but this did not seem to work too well, and there was no option to Save or Print the chart.
We have Nakisa OrgChart 2.1 SP1 running on SAP CE. This is with a staged extract out of SAP ERP which is hosted on Windows and SQL.

I will look into your comments re: excluding org units from the directory searches etc when next at the customer site.
As for the Chartbook issue - the customer is looking to create a file (e.g. HTML, PDF) of the entire org structure which they can then make available on the intranet. (They currently only have license for a couple of HR users so ESS access is not an option right now). We have looked at using the standard Print/Export options as well as the Chartbook and neither seems to work particularly well....the customer keeps referring back to how easy it is to create a HTML file using OrgPublisher....
What is the recommended and best approach for creating a file which can be published on a company's intranet? (There are about 1000 positions/employees in total so not a huge file).
Hopefully v3.0 is a whole lot easier to use

Chief Position Top Org Unit

Good Morning All.
We are having a problem with regards to the details that our Chief Exec can see within MSS. At the moment she can see all the details with regards to ESS and the inbox, however MSS does not seam to show any details. I have moved the position into another org unit and everything works fine, and have put my self in the top position and I get the same errors. We have created a new position and changed the user roles, how ever this does not make any difference.
Any Ideas?

How many direct subordinate employees are we talking about? Unless your CEX is the direct manager of several thousand employees, you probably shouldn't have a difficult time.
So if you don't have a role issue, then do you think it's possible one or more of the subordinate employees has data issues? Would you be willing to remove subordinate employees(by moving them to other org units)/org units to see if that isolates a situation where it runs faster?
Is this the only piece of MSS where this extended wait is being experienced for this particular user?

MSS - Creating new Position and Org unit in MSS

Dear Expert,
Question 1: I want to know that is it possible to create a new Position or Org Unit in MSS. I am aware that manager can create a requisitioin for a position. But I am not aware that how HR manager will create the Org Unit or Position thourgh MSS.
- will the HR manager have a new HR administrator Role to do this activity, if yes, which service / iview is used.
Question 2: We are using Management of Global employees (MGE). Now if any employee expariate to a foreign country how does ESS/MSS will pick the new country assignment. Is there any ess/mss switch for this? or any other configuration
Question 3: I would like to know what are the main differences of EHP4 and EHP5.

Hello honey - answer to the 1st question.
MSS- click Organisation - Search Organisational Process - enter the Process HR_PD_CREATE_POSITION and click start , this could be one solution how the managers may be able to create new position through MSS.

Org Unit Manager as Part Appraiser

Hi all,
I am creating an appraisal document which will allow different organizational unit's managers evaluate one org unit. I was wondering is there any way that choosing organizational units as part appraisers and allow only managers to evaluate.
For instance : Appraisee : Org A
Part Appraiser : Org B, Org C
and the appraisal document should show up only in Org B and Org C's manager's ESS. Is it possible ?

You can add O as a Part Apprisal But for ESS you should change (develop new) POWL feader class to show such situation.
Much easier to write a BADI with autofilling managers in part appraisal form.

Error when accessing the "Org unit" link from iview "Who's who"

Hi all,
In our ESS/MSS implementation we have come across to a strange error:
In the master iview u201CWhou2019s whou201D when trying to access the link for the org unit we receive the following error:
Service EMPLOYEE_ORGCHART_SERVICE does not exist.
Indeed the respective service does not exists nor the resources. We have ECC 5.0 and EP 7.0. We were unable so far to find the right (or dedicated) resources/services for this.

Authorisations in a Different Org Unit

We have an Organisational Unit without a Manager and the employees within that Organisational Unit will be raising requests in ESS and they will require verification of Travel, Leave etc.
We are planning to use an employee in a different Organisation Unit, not in the hierarchy above this Organisation Unit to authorise these requests.
How do we set up that employee from an Authorisations perspective to carry out this role.

Org unit date in adhoc query

Hi
I have created a TEM query in SQ02, based on infoset \SAPQUERY\HR_TEM_E (logical database PCH), in which I am outputting object name and date (P1000), and org unit (P8004).
The output on the org unit name corresponds to the most current version of the org unit, but my requirement is for it to match to the date that the course object exists, i.e. historical.
Would anyone know a way to code this field, or whether there is a functional solution to this?
Please do let me know.

Report to check org units without any position display

Dear All,
I want a report which i can see only the org units in a graphical way. When i am checking through Simple maintainence mode I am getting org units along with positions also with in the graphical mode i have selected the view option under options menu there can able to see individual departments along with positions.
My request is i want to see the organization structure along with sub org units under sub org units with departments without positions. please let me know is there any standard reports available.

How to Restrict Creation of Infotype Record for Certain Org Units?

Dear All,
Requirement:
Org Unit 1 does not have overtime. Even the employee works overtime, they will not get overtime compensation.
One of the option is to disallow the creation of IT2005's record for all the employees in Org Unit 1.
Is it possible to do this through standard SAP?

The best way to control this will be with Authorizations so that people belonging to one Org.unit should not have IT2005 mantainence.

Org Chart 3.0 - Print button on Org Unit's Profile not working

Hi,
In Org Chart, after we click on the Org Unit, then the details will be displayed on the right panel.
We clicked on the Action button on the right panel, and click on the Org Unit Profile, a new window will be opened.
Now, clicked on the small printer button on the top right corner.
It will opened a new window with print preview to print that profile page.
However, the print preview is empty, and when we printed this out, we get a blank page.

How do we fix this print problem?

Hi Luke,
In General Settings, I have defined Company Title, URL, and Logo.
Together with Allow Switching Between Modes, Set Standard Mode as Default, and Enable Effective Dating are enabled.
In Print preferences, Size is set to A4, Landscape, CM. The rest are all unchecked and Export settings are all enabled.
Am I missing some setting to cause the error?
Regarding the file SettingsResources.xml, it's encrypted in our .delta folder but it's decrypted in Admin_Config\SAP_DB2

Function Module to show all jobs in that Org Unit.

Does any one know is there any Function Module which gives all the jobs that comes under that Org Unit. for example if org unit 10 has 2 Sub Org Units(11 and 12) and 3 jobs(20, 21 and 22) under it. and the Sub Org Unit 11 and 12 has 1 job each( 30 and 40). When you run for org unit 10 it should give all 5 jobs (20, 21, 22, 30 and 40).

Well you use a FM RH_READ_INFTY_1001 to discover the relationships between an ORG Unit and Jobs.
Alternative, you can write a simple query to extract data from HRP1001 to find the jobs under an Org Unit. Because Jobs are related to an Org Unit and this relationship is stored in Infotype 1001/HRP1001.

I have to put some validation for the assigned employee and the position under which the employee is beeing assigned.
Is there any badi or Enhancement spot that can resolve my problem.
the validation will be done as soon as we select the employee that will be assigned to the position and press the ENTER.
It is done before SAVE.
