ESS user ids and SAP Users ids accountability

Dear All,
Here at client place we some 50 professional user licenses for SAP r/3 and 200 ESS licenses. So here can we split same licenses into 150 ESS and 50 MSS, as well as when i am creating a system user at backend would be accountable against SAP professional licenses or its included in ESS licenses.

We are currently developing a work flow to streamline PO release in our company . What we want to achieve is that
E.g
A purchase order 100001 is creates and a release strategy s1 is applied to it which is a 3 level relase statrgy having release code c1,c2,c3 which are uniquely assigned to user/employee of the company and no 2 users'employee can have the same release code.
Now when c1 release the purchase order a work item should be created to for the user/employee who is assigned the c2 code.
Currently this workflow is not implemented in our company adn the relase stategy is handeled by authorization oobjects and when ever a po user relase the po he calls up the other persona next in relase strategy to notify him about the work he has to do .
I am need to know can we develop a relationship b/w the release code and sap user or employee

Hi Sachin,
It doesn't care if you're using SAP_ALL or any of those profile. That is not relevant. I had that case a few days ago, I'm not using any of those profiles and I made it work with help of one post.
If you put the transactions in the tab "Menu" of the role in the PFCG, and if you activate parameters I mentioned in a prior post, then you should see the Menu.
Tables SSM_CUST and USERS_SSM. The first is global and the other is user-especific.
The link in one of the first post of this thread hace all the info.
That should work, that worked in my case.
What values the parameters have on those tables? The more the info the better.
Updating the parameters on those tables should help. If still doesn't work then you should check another parameter using transaction RZ10 or report RSPARAM.
If my info solves your problem, points are appreciated, if not, we will try...

Unable to access user DDIC and SAP*

+I installed solutionmanager 4.0 and i loggen in the system(000) with DDIC user and check the TCODE SICK.+
++When i restarted the server it was not allow me to login awith user DDIC and SAP in 000 client.++*
+It's giving error message:+

Unlock it at Database level
UPDATE usr02 SET uflag = 0 WHERE bname = "SAP*" AND mandt = <client number>
Or
Run the sql query at sql prompt and then login to sap with sap* and password "pass".
SQL> delete from usr02 where mandt=<your login client> and banme='SAP*';

Can you connect to the server using thos setting with a mysql client in the server?

OIM - SAP Employee Recon and SAP User Management Connectors vs. OC4J

In reading through the SAP connector documentation I've found that we cannot use OC4J to run OIM if the 9.0.3 SAP User Management Connector or SAP Employee Recon Connector is used. This is all related to a conflict in JDK versions supported between the SAP JCo (Java Connector) library and OC4J. A thought we've had is to use a Remote Manager for these connectors. Can anyone validate this approach? Is it possible to use a different JDK version with your remote manager? Is there another workaround that anyone is aware of?

The remote manager should work with different JDKs. We are going to be doing the same thing for one of our adapters.
As for SAP, I cannot think of another workaround -- we actually abandoned the SAP JCo approach and are doing web services with XI.

Relation between employee data and SAP user ID

I am searching a relation between a SAP User Id and the personal data of an employee like Infotype 2.
Is there any relation like this?

Hi,
The SAP User ID is attached to employee number using communications infotype IT 0105 subtype 0001.
Also e-mail, fax, telephone number are stored in this infotype under different subtypes.

Issue with user mapping and SAP reference system

Hello Gurus,
I have this strange system behaviour when preparing my system for single sign-on using user mapping.
Case 1.
In the user management property category, I have the following defined.
Authentication Ticket Type - SAP Logon Ticket
Logon Method - UIDPW
User Mapping Fields -
User Mapping Type - admin, user
In the alias editor, I defined the default alias as SAP_PRD
Result= when I go to identity management to assign the reference system (the default alias - SAP_PRD)...I do not see the system alias there.
Case 2:

Thanks for the feedback. I am relatively new to EP...so please I won't mind if you can guide me on how to go about this.
This is what I did...
I chose System Administration > Permissions
In the PCD, I located my system with the alias, SAP_PRD
It opened up the permission assignment area.
Now I have these permissions set
Administrator - Full Control
Administrators - Full control
com.sap.caf.eu.gp.roles.superuser - Full control
Everyone (built in group) - Full control
Everyone (Everyone role)- Full control
super_admin_role - Owner
For all the above End User box is checked.
I can't find anyone end user group .
Once I pick UIDPW, the alias disapperars from the reference system list.
Please help.

OIM11gR2 - How can I list users with an SAP User Application Instance?

This is a feature I was used to in OIM9.
Except that in OIM9 the model was a bit different, we had no application instance. We referred to it as a Resource.
Anyway, as an Identity Manager administrator, I wanted to quickly find a user with an specific Resource, e.g. SAP User.
I went to Resources, choose the resource I'm interested in finding the users, then from there I could filter them by Resource Status, either Provisioned, Provisioning, Revoked, Disabled, etc.
Now in OIM11gR2 I can't find an equivalent for this.
From /sysadmin I cant list users from the Application Instances
From /identity I cant search users with a given Application Instance.
Did I miss something? or this cannot be done in OIM11R2.
(Alternatively, I opening SQL Developer and listing the UD_SAP table, but this is obviously not acceptable)

this is a problem of realm definition.check the config.xml, you've got an invalid realm declared.

Tcode to assign S-user to an SAP user in SM

I have 2 Apple ids and two corresponding iCloud accounts. My five Apple devices are linked to one or the other. As one consequence a small number of my contacts are associated with one iCloud account, the majority with the other. How can I merge?

For reasons not entirely clear to me I have ended up with two Apple ids, two iCloud accounts and my Apple devices being associated with one or the other iCloud account/Apple id. One of the complications is that my contacts are partially owned by one iCloud account, partially by the other.
Is there any way to
- merge the contacts (I have tried exporting from one and importing into the other but one set will overwrite the other)?
- migrate all devices to one single iCloud account without being locked out for 3 months?
- merge Apple ids or just delete one of them without locking out devices?
Grateful for any suggestions because this is turning into a headache.

You can merge the contacts from one account with your other one without overwriting them. Sign into the first account, download them as vCard (iCloud: Export contact information as a vCard), email them to a device signed into the account you want to merge them with, tap the vCard and choose Add..., then Create New Contacts.
You can also migrate a copy of the data in one account and merge it with the other by signing into the account you are leaving, then signing out (or deleting the account if not running iOS 8), then choosing Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Then sign into the other account and choose Merge when prompted. This won't move Notes however. If you are syncing notes that you want to migrate from the other account, you can temporarily add the account to your Mac as a secondary account by going to System Preferences>Internet Accounts (or Mail,Contacts,Calendars)>Add Account>iCloud and signing in with the other account ID. Then enable notes syncing in the secondary account. You will then be able to open the notes app and drag and drop notes from one account to the other. When you're done, delete the secondary account from your Mac.
You can't merge IDs as Apple does not allow it. Also, you won't be locked out of anything for 3 months. The "90-day switch" rule only applies to changing your iTunes store account, not your iCloud account. Just leave your iTunes store account as-is. The ID you use for the iTunes store does not have to be the same as the ID you use for iCloud.

Why can i not use 1 macbook with 2 user profiles and 2 iTunes match accounts

Hi All,
It seems to me like a bizzare occurance that the Mac O/S caters for mulitple user profiles on one machine and iTunes allows for mulitple users to have seperate libraries on one machine but I cannot use one Mac for itunes Match.
My wife and I share the same mac, we have an iTunes account each and seperate music libraries but I cannot use her iTunes match as it will lock me out for 90 days on my iTunes match.
This is crazy? am i missing something.

User Address and SAP HCM HR Replication

Hello All,
We are in SRM 7.0 with ERP 6.0 EHP4 as backend. SRM organization structure is replicated from the HCM system. The organization structure in the HCM system is designed based on the functions like Manufacturing, IT etc.
When a user tries to create a shopping cart, we are getting an error " No Data found for Contact Person".
On further investigation, we found that there are no entries in table BUT052. This table gets data from BUT050 and ADRC. Entries are there in BUT050 but in table ADRC there are no corresponding entries.
Are we missing anything during the HR replication like infotype 1028 for address? Address is maintained at user level in HCM system. Any insights from the experts will be useful in resolving this issue.

We are currently facing the same issue in our environment SRM7.0 & ECC 6.0 EHP4.
Report Z_BUT052_ADCP_CORRECT was implemented and didn't resolve the issue.
Could you please share your solution for the fix.

No user on lightdm user list and on user and groups(cinnamon)

I couldn't find my user(or any) at the lightdm user list(only see other there and can login with the account details)
and at the User and Groups.
I didn't had that problem when i installed arch on my laptop and didn't find any reference over the net,
did someone encountered this problem?

I don't really understand your issue, but do you mean you don't have your username to choose at login manager? Try type in the user name manually. Have you added a user after install? Like: $ sudo useradd -m -G wheel -s /bin/bash user
and the set password: $ sudo passwd user
