Please check the start/stop services logs, you can find the issue & able to understand what is the issue....you can also check the opmn/shared services logs.....
In worst case, we can go for reboot the server & restart all services after the reboot completely.

    Please include more information, such as your Operating System (Windows?) and version, plus exactly what happens when you try to start Firefox. The information that's listed in a recent Firefox crash report, if available, might also help. Note: A "clean reinstall" was one of the suggestions in [/questions/964132]. It means removing the Firefox application files and then reinstalling Firefox from a fresh download, as explained in the "Reinstall Firefox" step in [[Basic Troubleshooting]]. If that allows you to start Firefox, but if the problem returns after restarting the computer, you should do another "clean reinstall" and then troubleshoot your plugins by disabling all of them, as suggested in the [[Basic Troubleshooting]] article.

  • System 11 Essbase 11.1.3 - Maxl Start up issue

    Working on a upgrade project from system 7 to 11, Shared services, EAS, Essbase everything seems to be installed and running fine, was able to migrate and acess Essbase apps via EAS smart view etc but issue persists with MAXL.
    unable to start ESSMSH.exe manually or through automaiton.
    Think its searching for arborpath , but with new system 11 its not set as a environment variable do i need to add it to the PATH ,Error on trying to access MAXl through automation is listed as follows
    Error initializing localization module*
    Environment variable  ARBORPATH is not set.*
    SET PATH variable values the Server
    D:\Hyperion\common\CSS\9.5.0.0\bin;
    %SystemRoot%\system32;
    %SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\SysMgt\oma\bin;
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\SysMgt\idrac;
    D:\Hyperion\common\ODBC-64\Merant\5.2\Drivers;
    D:\Hyperion\common\JRE\Sun\1.5.0\bin

    This is a weird one -- I've been at clients where the path was "wrong" (on the server, not the client) -- same thing, I couldn't run MaxL and was told that the answer was to use startMaxL.cmd from its native directory. That make sense to me then and still doesn't.
    startMaxL does indeed work.
    Here's the path from my VM server:
    PATH=C:\Hyperion\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient\bin;C:\Hyperion\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\binn\;C:\Hyperion\common\CSS\9.5.0.0\bin;C:\Hyperion\common\SAP\bin;C:\Hyperion\products\FinancialManagement\Common;C:\Hyperion\products\FinancialManagement\Client;C:\Hyperion\products\FinancialManagement\Server;C:\Hyperion\common\ODBC\Merant\5.2\Drivers;C:\Hyperion\products\Essbase\eas\console\bin;C:\Hyperion\products\Essbase\eas\server\bin;C:\Hyperion\common\JRE\Sun\1.5.0\bin
    Arborpath:
    C:\Hyperion\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient
    I can run essmsh.exe from anywhere on that server.
    startMaxl.cmd is in two places: c:\hyperion\products\Essbase\EssbaseServer\bin and c:\hyperion\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient\bin
    You can see that the path goes right to essbaseclient\bin.

  • Remote Start installation question - Trying to understand

    I just want to get auto start added to my 2012 Dodge Charger.    The dealer is asking for waaay to much for OEM remote start and install so I figure Best buy would be cheaper.  I see many products ranging from $199 to $600.  I plan to get either the Viper 4205V or the 4115V1B.  My question is, I literally just want autostart. I would like to still use my existing FOB to unlock my doors, pop my trunk, etc.  Sounds like when an aftermarket is installed "stuff" needs to be bypassed and you end up using the aftermarket lock/unlock, trunk open features rendering your current key fob useless.  Is this correct?
    1) Can you confirm with he viper units listed above, that I can get autostart installed on my car, and still use my existing key FOBs for all my basic funtion (lock/unlock, truck)?
    2) Also does the standard Geek Squad install come with the open hood auto kill feature, I seem to hear the most complaints about installers not installing this safety feature and not telling the buyer they dont install this.
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Yes my FOB  unlock/locks my door and pops trunk while car is running.
    So bottom line is (as far as you know), there should be no reason the viper units I selected should not work with my car.  And I shouldn't need any special (expensive) add ons to get things to work properly and my original FOB should work as usual.
    I just dont want to get something installed that keeps something else from working properly on my car when from having autostart installed.
    Thanks

  • Starting up question

    Please help!
    I'm sure there's a simple solution to this question, but...
    every time I start the computer up, it decides to forget everything I saved (onto the desktop, itunes has to be signed in again, etc, etc) the previous time i had the computer on.
    All is not lost since computer makes up a new sub-folder inside the "Users" folder. with a number next to it. However, this has lead to some confusion when searching for files saved, say, 3 or 4 days ago, or longer.
    What are the correct settings needed to rectify this? Does it concern start-up disc, or Accounts, or Internet and Network?
    I tried to solve this problem myself, but it has persisted.
    Thanks for any help, if you happened to know the answer!

    Gosh communist,
    why, I have exactly the same problem. The answer must lie somewhere in the following:
    select the Hard Disc, go to File and click on Get Info.
    You will be given a drop-down description of owner and list of options to read only/read and write/no access. choose "read and write" for all the options to do with Ownership and Permission, and the Details.
    The next button to mouse on to might be "Apply to enclosed items" which I dare not click on because then the message reads "you cannot reverse this".
    However, despite my efforts, my computer still refuses to remember the settings during the time the computer was on the last time.
    Does anyone else hold the key to our problems?? I also thought there would be an easy answer to this...

  • Essbase 11.1.1.1.3 Installed - Question on EAS

    Hi,
    I installed Essbase 11.1.1.1.3 and EAS. Successfully configured both. I checked the services and all services are 'started'. They also restart with no issues. When I goto a browser and launch EAS I'm able to login with 'admin' and 'password' which are the defaults. When I expand ' Administration Servers' and try and add a user under 'users', it's grayed out for 'create user'. I want to add a administration user to bypass the defualt 'admin'. Any ideas on why this would be grayed out?
    Thanks

    I realize that. So to make EAS not talk to Shared Services too, then you make the change above. Got it. Shared Services is a little gray for me as I come from the 7.x world. Also, during install can you completely bypass installing Shared Services completely or do you have to install it as part of Foundation Services and then just not use it if you wish? I was told to always install and configure Shared Services first then do do Essbase/EAS next. Was never really sure why.
    Thanks

  • Seeking for advice over software development start-up question

    Hi Admin ,
    My friend who is an internet marketer at warrior forum told me about Adobe AIR. He said that programs developed on Adobe Air could not be decompiled. I am a forex software developer that created both a trailing stop ea and forex charting software on the Metatrader 4 open source trading platform. My concern is that the software which i developed could be decompiled.
    I have a programming team and they have little or few experience with Adobe Air. I was thinking that before i ask them to research and start developing our software on Adobe AIR platform, could you help us but answering some important questions regarding AIR?
    Is it true that AIR applications cannot be decompiled?
    Forex software in .ex4 format and .dll files be transferred over to AIR format?
    Could there be a communication between AIR and Metatrader 4 trading platform ?
    For more info, visit these url :

    Regards,

    There is no software that cannot be decompiled and/or reverse engineered. ActionScript is actually one of the easier languages to decompile. There are obfuscators and other protection schemes, but I can't attest to how well they work.
    You can write an ActionScript wrapper for dll libraries (in many cases). I don't know what .e4x format is.
    An AIR app can communicate with another application or server in a variety of ways. The most common include HTTP and sockets.

  • HT1750 start up question mark

    Why does the mac flash a question mark periodically

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
    Your Mac can't find any bootable disk.
    1. Insert the Mac OS X DVD and press C key while your computer is starting.
    2. Go to Utilities > Disk Utility, select Macintosh HD in the sidebar and repair the disk.
    If it doesn't help, the hard disk is broken. Take the Mac to an Apple Store

  • The Spindle and Apple at Start Up Question

    Background: had to replace my hard drive. Transferred data from Time Machine. Had the internet plug in (to the USB Port) and the white plug (with green light on) in from the wall. Was not running on a battery. Finished, and shut down. Went to relaunched half hour later - just a gray screen, and about 30 seconds later, a pulsating image of the world. No spindle, no apple. Shut it down. Took out plugs. Relaunched without any attachments. Spindle and Apple as usual. Tried it again with plugs in. No spindle or Apple. Went into Systems Pref. Went to Start Up. The hard drive WAS NOT highlighted. I highlighted it. Question: is THAT the reason why there WAS NO spindle or Apple with the plugs in? I have not shut it down, as I need to work with my computer for the next several hours. If I've corrected the launch by highlighting the desktop hard drive in System Pref. will I see the spindle and Apple, with plugs in when I shut it down tonight, and Relaunch tomorrow?
    Thank you for any response.

    That should work. Here's a link that describes the flashing world a little:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2674
    Evidently your Mac was looking for a network to boot from instead of booting from your hard drive.
    Good luck!

    The partitions was same like now, I not changed.
    How can I install again the windows?

    Just replace the hard drive.
    If he lost data, look at data recovery services*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/backup.html
    And in the future always recommend people backup important data frequently.
    If he still gives you death threats, call the police.

  • Some start up questions (help please)

    Hello everyone. My name is Tom and its very nice to meet everyone.
    I have been, historically, using harware sequencers for my music (Korg M series, Korg O series, and most recently a Fantom X7).
    I have decided that I want to go the DAW route for my music for various reasons. At any rate here is what I'll be ordering next week....
    MacBookPro 2Ghz 15" (1 gig of ram to start 2x 512)
    Logic Pro
    M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 (my main instrument is piano)
    M-Audio Oxygen 8 v2 (I'll use this for synth sounds, strings, brass, triggers, etc)
    Presonus Firebox (portability)
    SIIG FireWire 800 1-Port ExpressCard/34 (the MBP only has 1 Firewire port)
    My Book Pro Edition 500 GB Ext HD (will connect to the FW 800 expresscard)
    Pair of Behringer Truths B2031a (I listened to these in a local store and I was really impressed.)
    I have various other instruments that I will use (guitars, bass, steel, etc) during recording but those arent the focus of these questions.
    To the point...
    1. Should I connect both Midi In and Out for the Keystation Pro?? (The midi thing is somewhat new since I'm coming from the hw sequencers and I never midi'd my boards together) I understand that I'll go from the midi out to the s/pdif cable in but will it be necessary for information to be returned to the ks pro?
    2. On the Presonus Firebox, is the s/pdif cable included with the interface??
    3. Any general impressions with my initial setup?? Please keep in mind that I will do all the music by myself... one track and one instrument at a time. (Which is why I thought the firebox would be sufficient for my needs) Any concerns with my ideas for setting it up?? KS Pro midi'd to presonus. presonus FW 400 to Mac. Oxygen 8 USB'd to Mac. My Book hard drive FW 800 through expresscard expansion. Will I have any compatibility issues or conflicts?
    Thanks so very much for any help and guidance.
    Tom

    Hi Tom
    Welcome to the forum!
    1) your keystation and Oxygen 8 will send and receive midi to Logic thru your usb connection. You can connect any other midi devices thru the keystation or using the Oxygen or Firebox midi ins & outs. Logic will recognize all of your midi connections. you just need to assign which midi keyboard or other outboard device is connected to which midi port in Logic's environment
    2) yes the spdif cable is included
    3) Your setup sounds nice. I personally don't like the firebox, I had one for a short time and got rid of it, but I know a few guys here use one and like them.
    Have fun
    Don

  • When I push start a question mark comes on flashing how can I fix it

    Please help me fix my Mac Pro

    Question (?) Mark, Blinking Folder, or Gray Screen at Startup
    These are related but not identical issues. Their causes are outlined in Intel-based Mac- Startup sequence and error codes, symbols. Solutions may be found in:
    A flashing question mark appears when you start your Mac
    Mac OS X- Gray screen appears during startup
    In most cases the problems may be caused by:
    Problem with the computer's PRAM - See Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM.
    Boot drive's directory has been corrupted - Repair with Disk Utility.
    Critical system files are damaged or deleted - Reinstall OS X.
    The disk drive is physically non-functional - Replace the hard drive.
    Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
    Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
    If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    The main difference if you are using Lion or Mountain Lion is that you must first boot from the Recovery HD:
    Boot From The Recovery HD:
    Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Reinstall Snow Leopard Without Erasing The drive
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
    If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
    Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
    Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing The Drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • Thread start, run question

    public class Test {

              Thread t = new Thread() {
                public void run() {

         //code b
         public static void main(String args[]){
              new Test();
          * I know that if the 'code a' is in a method() then its ok that we can call that
          * method instead of t.run(); . But this application already developed like this.
    }My question is : Is the above implementation on right way to satify comment1 and comment2 ?

    It works the same way that anonymous subclasses of Classes work. The only difference is that you need to implement every method of that interface (which is only one in the case of Runnable).
    So if
    Thread t = new Thread() {
      //some methods
    };is a shortcut for
    //outside your method, but inside your (outer) class:
    class MyAnonymousThread extends Thread{
      //some methods
    //inside your method:
    Thread t = new MyAnonymousThread();then
    Runnable r = new Runnable() {
      //some methods
    };is a shortcut for
    //outside your method, but inside your (outer) class:
    class MyAnonymousRunnable implements Runnable {
      //some methods
    //inside your method:
    Runnable r = new MyAnonymousRunnable();(note that those are not completely the same, since you can access final local variables of your method inside a anyonymous inner class among )
