I need excel addins for msoffice 2007, I am using essbase 9.3.1.

It is contained in the following download - "EPM System Release 11.1.2.2.0 Client Installers for Microsoft Windows"
or log into Oracle Support and download something like "Patch 17277732: PATCH SET UPDATE: HYPERION ESSBASE EXCEL ADDIN MSI 11.1.2.2.104" or go for an earlier patch.

How to install 3 Excel Add-Ins in one deployment ?

I have 3 excel add-ins which work in conjunction with each other. I want the user to install all 3 at the same time, from one install package. How to do that?
I am following the steps in "Deploying an Office Solution by Using Windows Installer".
This is a single user install.
Just guessing, I have created a visual studio solution containing the 3 add-in projects as "existing projects". And the 4th project in this solution is a "setup and deployment" project type. InstallShield Limited Edition Project.
I am not clear if there should be a different destination folder for the .vsto and .dll.manifest files for each add-in.

Essbase plus license and Excel Add-In

Hi,
Can we perform lock and Send using Excel Add-In to Planning cubes(BSO cubes) if we have only Essbase Plus license?

Let me re-phrase the question. If I have Planning plus license for less number of users(e.g. X) compared to Essbase plus license users (e.g. Y) and all Y number of users want to use Excel add-in for lock and sned will there be any issue?

Can some one tell me where I can find Essbase 11.1.1 Excel Add-in client to download.

Do you mean how to configure Essbase Add-In in excel??
If it is same then no need to download anything.

-->In Add-ins, click Browse. Excel displays the Browse dialog box.

Excel Add in for SSM 7.5

Hi all ,
I am trying to run de Excel Add In for SSM
I'm using SAP SSM 7.5 and Office 2007
I've already installed WebExcel program xssmWea in my machine and added the add-in in Excel
The great question is that the SSM Menu does NOT appear in main menu , so I am not being able to log on into SSM
Does somebody know what could happens ?

Hi,
There should be a menu in Excel called Add-Ins. This is where I would expect the Strategy Management add-in to appear. If it doesn't appear at start, then go to the excel options (in the top left icon) , select add-ins, manage Excel Add-ins. If Strategy Management add-in is not available there, then just hit browse and navigate to the folder where you installed the Excel Add-in. Select the .xll file in that folder. This should be enough to make the add-in available in the Add-Ins menu entry in Excel.

Microsoft Excel Add-in for version 11.1.1.1.x

Can someone tell me if Smart View and the Excel add-in for Essbase coexist? If so, how does one go about installing the add-in for Essbase? This is for version 11.1.

This particular thread interests me as I'm trying as we speak to install the 11.1.1.2 Excel Add In. I have done these steps:
1 - Unzipped the V15966-01 file into install directory.
2 - Unzipped the V16855-01 file into the install directory.
3 - Unzipped the V15981-01 file into the install directory.
When I goto run the install and I get to the screen to choose Essbase 32bit Client. It does not allow me to install and comes up with this error:
Assemblies missing: Component required next assemblies to be installed: commonComponents.
Any idea what I'm missing?

To implement BAdIs, you need advanced knowledge of ABAP
Standard settings
In the standard system, the Business Add-In is not active.
You create business add-in definitions using transaction SE18. They contain the business add-in interface. In the application code the instance variable is typed according to this interface. You can create several implementations for each add-in definition.
There are two main types of BADI definitions:
Multiple use - that is, there can be several active implementations
Filter-dependent - that is, you apply a filter value to each method called (for example, a country). A different (active) implementation is then called for each value. Possible filter values are characterized by the filter type.
for finding the BAdi's for Purchasing goto SE18, Click F4, Click on Infiormation system, give Package as ME.
List of BAdi's will be displayed

Essbase Excel Add-in for Excel 2013

I recently upgrade from Excel 2010 to 2013, it seems Essbase Excel Add-in (1.1.2.2) has some issue with Excel 2013, does anybody experience this too, any advice on this?

The excel add-in is not certified to work with Excel 2013 and a matter of fact, the only version of Smart View certified with it is 11.1.2..5 which just came out. The Essbase Add-in has not been updated in a shile and has been susetted by Oracle so there will be no new versions of it

SQL Server Excel Add In for Data Mining: How do I retrieve the coefficients underlying the logististic regression model in excel

I constructed a logistics regression model inside Excel using the Data Mining Add In. I would like to see the coefficients for each input variable. I can't seem to find this inside excel. I tried running queries in DMX inside
Mgt Studio but that seems to return multiple coefficients
for each input variable. I am seeking
ONE coefficient for each variable.
Other applications I have used in the past provided the intercept and one coefficient for each input variable. Can someone advise on how I can achieve that inside excel or Analysis Services?

We have this problem when we install the add-in using an Administrator's login ID.
The problem is that the add-in automatically registers the Excel add-in. This causes a whole host of problems, including the one you describe (even when we install with the user as the admin on their own machine). Other problems include conflicts with other Add-ins (e.g. nVision) & utlities that import PDF into Excel.
For our Citrix environment we do the following:
· Install Essbase Add-In as Administrator
· Replace “ntuser.dat” file in Default User profile with the “ntuser.dat” file from Administrator’s profile. (Replace C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\NTUSER.DAT with C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\NTUSER.DAT).
· Delete existing user profile from the system
Once user logs back in, a new profile will be created to work with Essbase add-in.
Note:
1. 1. NTUSER.DAT file is a hidden file. It is only visible if show hidden file option is enabled
2. Deleting user profile from the system remove all user customization such as shortcuts, favorites, pst file etc. as well.
BUG NOTE: When you try to Unregister the Excel Add-in from your Start button, the shortcut points to the wrong file name. The file name should be "unRegExcelAddin.exe"

Excel Add-In for BPC 7.5 to test Dimension

This Add-In for Excel was developed by me for free use, without any warranty! The VBA code is not encripted.
Functions: Test Hierarchy data of the BPC Dimension before processing Dimension.
Usage: Install Add-In, on the Add-Ins Ribbon you will see one button for this Add-In.
When you have Dimension template opened (in BPC Client or as a standalone file) - press this button.
All Hierarchies will be tested and the resulted TreeView will be presented. In case of error the message will describe the error, the TreeView form will not be shown and the cell with error will be selected.
Enforced rule: Non base members of one Hierarchy cannot have parent in another Hierarchy! (It's not mandatory in BPC but to my mind, linking nodes of one Hierarchy to parents in another Hierarchy will make the dimension unmanageable)
Additional feature: when you see a form with TreeView there is a combobox in the left down corner of the form. This combobox is populated with the list of member properties. If you select some property it will be shown in the TreeView right to each member.
Number of members is limited to 10 000, but it can be changed in the code.

To archive this goal - create some batch job to post data to the different appsets you can use the tool like AutoHotkey to create the script that can:
1.Launch Excel with "C:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\PC_NW\Ev4Excel.xla"
2. Wait for login window to appear on the screen
3. Send keys to select required appset
4. Send username and password
5. Press Send and Refresh Schedules button.
6. Press other buttuns
7. Close Excel
And loop to the next appset

P.S. It's possible to do the same things using Excel VBA, but it will be more complicated and will require some knowledge of Win32 API functions.

Analyzer 7.0: Excel add-ins not loaded on opening workbook

Hi all,
we are having a problem with some of our workbooks which are using additional functions from a standard microsoft add-in (Analysis Toolpak - function "mduration" for exmaple).
The add-in is checked as "load" under Extras->Add-Ins.
Opening the workbook without analyzer is just fine.
When opening BEx Analyzer 7.0 and then the Excel workbook, all functions from the add-in (such as "mduration") only return #NAME, as if the add-in is not loaded properly.
Using BEx Analyzer 3.5 this DOES work, however.
We are on SAP GUI 7.10 PL11 with BI 7.0 Add-On SP10. Excel version is 2003.
Does anyone kow whether this is a known problem or if a solution exists (maybe with latest BI Add-On SP)?

Excel Add-in for 11.1.1.3 on Excel 2007.

We are upgrading to Office 2007 and Excel Addin we are using is for 2003. We have a Planning / Essbase 64 bit environment working on 11.1.1.3
Now, when I look for Essbase client for 11.1.1.3 compatible to office 2007, I cannot find it in Oracle e-delivery site. Is there any place that I can get this?
Also, ours is a 64 bit environment and our users desktops are 32 bit. So is that fine if I install 32 bit client? Am not sure whats the bit type of current excel add-in ?

The 11.1.1.3 Excel add-in is supported on Excel 2007 -- it doesn't matter if this is 32-bit or 64-bit Operating systems. Excel 2007 is always a 32-bit application. If you are also using SmartView search support.oracle.com for updates for SmartView as there are updates that fully support working on 64-bit operating systems.
Office 2010 64-bit is NOT supported. Office 2010 32-bit is supported for SmartView -- haven't tried Excel addin in 2010 32-bit however I believe it should work also.

Essbase 6.5.7 Excel Add-In in Excel 2003

Hi all, We just upgraded our Essbase Analytics server from 6.5.3 to 6.5.7 as this new version supports also Excel 2003. One of our users has installed the new version of the Excel Add-In, but apparently the Essbase menu item does not appear in Excel!! When starting up Excel, the Essbase splah screen appears and double-clicking the Excel sheet makes it possible to connect to the OLAP server. It seems to be a problem in Excel 2003. I have users using 6.5.4 with excel 2003 with no problem.Did you check if "Hyperion Essbase OLAP Server DLL"and "Hyperion Essbase Query Designer Addin" options arecheck in your addins for excel? If not, try to do a find in theknowledge base. If I remember correctly, this is solved by creatinga dummy registry key in windows registry set in a specific folder.If you do a search in the forumn, you should be able to find thespecific path as to where the dummy key needs to be created.HTH

I do not want to remove office 2010 and go back to office 2007.
