Essbase Analytic Service on Windows 2003 Server won't start

Question

A sytstems admin pushed a lot of updates onto the production Essbase and Shared Services servers last night. This morning the Hyperion S9 BI+ Analytic Services 9.3.1 service on the Essbase Server will not start. Log error says:

Analytical Services Product Existence Check Fails against the Shared Services Server with Error []
Numerous products (.NET Framework, Internet Explorer, etc) were updated as well as routine hotfixes and security patches. Is there a conflict with a particular version or is there a resolution to the error indicated in the log?
I did restore a .SEC file from before the updates were done, no resolution.

Hi,
Seems to be issue with the timing of starts on Shared Service and Essbase Services.
Try to check in to the complete error file on Essbase, Shared Services to verify whats making the essbase service not to start.
