Essbase data crossjoin error in OBIEE analysis report

Hi all,
Anyone got the following error in OBIEE analysis report:
Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 96002] Essbase Error: Syntax error in input MDX query on line 13 at token 'crossjoin' (HY000)
The OBIEE version is 11.1.1.6.2
Data is from Essbase Cube, version 11.1.2
The report is a simple cross tab table and we added 'After' aggregation to show grand total.
The error show up when we drill down on dimension, click '+'.
However, if I remove the 'After' aggregation. There is no error at all

I tried to do it in RPD by case when,
e.g. Acutal Sales: case when scenario='Actual' then salesamount end
Budget Sales: case when scenario='Budget' then salesamount end
Actual/Budget%: (Actual Sales/Budget Sales) *100
So there is no error, Actual Sales and Budget Sales are correct, but Actual/Budget % shows nothing in report

MDX Generation Issues (using Evaluate) in OBIEE Analysis Report

I am trying to use Evaluate function in MDX (on a OBIEE 11g Analysis report) to restrict the number of values that i am pulling from the Essbase cube. The MDX Evaluate syntax looks something like this
EVALUATE('TOPCOUNT(%1.members,100,([Dimension1],[Dimension2],[Dimension3],[Dimension4]))',"Accounts"."Gen10,Accounts")
EVALUATE('TOPCOUNT(%1.members,100,([Dimension1],[Dimension2],[Dimension3],[Dimension4]))',"Products"."Gen10,Products")
I am putting the above evaluate formula in the "selected columns" on the OBIEE Analysis report. So i am pulling accounts, products and the measure from the essbase cube.
However I am getting the following error when the analysis report is run
Query Status: Aggr Essbase Error: *Repeated dimension [Accounts] in MDX query*
Do we need any configuration changes/ settings on the RPD model to ensure we dont get this error?

Data Access Error when importing Standard Reports

After installation, when I try to import standard reports, I got a "Data Access Error".
FDM 9.3.1
Oracle 10g
In the fdm.err, I find the following description:
ORA-12899 : too long value for "MYFDMSCHEMA"."TREPORT"."REPORTDESC" (real 152, max 75).
It seems that reports descriptions are too long for my Oracle repository...
Any idea ?

Error in OBIEE Analyses "XML Incompatible"

Hi everybody,
i / we have a problem/error during running some analyses/dashboards in obiee 11.1.1.6.6. In development we have no problems, all runs fine. But in quality section and later on in production this error comes on, even the user is running some dashboards. It doesn't matter, which dashboard/which analyses is running. We imported a new rpd and catalog from development (wheres running) to quality. Nothing changed.
Can u take a look at the cryptical error-message:

I would try to run the Scan and Update Catalog Objects That Require Updates utility from Administration in Analytics. See if that helps at all. If not, compare the XML for a report that's working in DEV with the same report in QA that doesn't work, see if there are any changes.

Error Launching Web Analysis Report from the Hyperion Workspace

Hi Everyone
When launching the report as a HTML from the Workspace, the output flashes briefly on screen
The view in the content pane disappears to leave a blank screen.
When I Select View | Refresh. The following result is returned "Web Analysis Information" -1
I have set the report in start up preferences. And Web Analysis preferences set to open as HTML
After logging on again the following error is shown " An attempt to open "Actual vs Budget" Failed
Show Details displays: this.getFocusRoot() is nullor not an object
The reports all display correctly when launched from the Web Analysis studio
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated

Thanks for the advise but I have looked into your possible solution and referred to the Web Analysis user guide. I have a number of reports and when selecting the Design for HTML option - a number of objects are valid and should be displayed in the workspace.
After creating reports from scratch - with valid objects - the problem still persists.
Unfortunately, I don't think this provides a solution to the problem.

Error opening web analysis report in workspace: Array index out of range:2

I am able to view this report in web analysis studio with no errors..Its only when I go to workspace and open report do I get following error: Array index out of range:2.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried checking the "Design for HTML" from the Edit toolbar to see if you get any error when saving?
Do you have any advanced items on the report, as there are 4 types of differences between Studio and HTML:
- font differences, Workspace (DHTML) uses the WA Server fonts whereas WA Studio client machine fonts.
- Service Buttons are very restricted using Workspace
- Display: Tab selection, Splitter panels, Slider selection do not render in Workspace
- Cannot restrict WA Tools menu in Workspace at all, where you can in the Studio.

After calling XDO data engine, error is coming but report is completing.

There is a strange situation i am facing with one XML report.XML data definition of this report has two trigger.
One before report trigger and other after report trigger.
While running(using concurrent program) the report is completed with following error:

The problem is that "after report" trigger is not getting called,because i have added one debug message which is not getting printed in the log file.

I am wondering how after getting error from XDO data engine ,process is continuing and why afterreport trigger is not executing.

You pl/sql package is failing with
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character to number conversion error
it means, you are trying to convert a string to number, and it fails.
Test the package with the original data.

Date Format Error in Web intelligence Report

I created Web intelligence report using the BEx query.
The problem is when i drop the date field in webi report it gives me only one date that is (01/01/1970)
but the year and month field that are calculated on BEx query is coming in correct way.
So any one have solution to this Bug.
I m currently on :SAP BO 4.0 SP 2
SAP BI 7.0 EPH 2 on NW 7.02 Instance.

ESsbase Data retrieve error

I have recently upgraded the essbase on unix from 9.3.0.1 to 9.3.1. During the upgarde there was no problem it looks like it went smoothly. However, I could not retrieve data from excel addin or even from Adminstration console.
The error message I get from excel addin is: " cannot load application with error number 1052003.see server log file"
And I found the following error message in the server log:
"Starting application BigCorp
ld.so.1: ESSSVR: fatal: libARicu22.so: open failed: No such file or directory
[Fri Jan 9 15:50:32 2009]hypprd02 /ESSBASE0///Error(1052003)
Timed out reading from server"

Essbase data preview error

Hi gurus,
i am working on essbase 9.3.1, i am getting this error while i pre view data:
Cannot perform cube view operation. Analytic Server Error(1020011): Maximum number of rows [1000] exceeded.
but this shows only 576 rows.

Hyperion11.1.2.2 Sql Server and Essbase data load error

i have issue on loading data in Essbase via sql server , while loading data it was fine and all of sudden i see that i get network error 10054
network error 10054 failed to recive data / send data

Data display error in OBIEE -Generated query returns correct result on DB

Hi experts,
We are retrieving the data from cube based on MS SQL SERVER.
When i generate the report in answers for the amount A(Sum in rpd) it display the amount 18 only and when i fire the generated MDX query on cube its shows amount as 144(18+126)..what could be the reason its hide the amount 126 at the time of display.

How to build a Analysis report in OBIEE 11g

Hi All,
I have a query regarding 'How to' to build an analysis report in OBIEE 11g.
The data model is a financial data model, where information such as Actual, Plan, Forecast, What - if etc for current AND prior year need to be displayed in a dashboard.
I created two analysis reports one for current year Rep1 and second for prior year Rep2 each with filter criteria as current year and prior year respectively based on years column. and then in the dashboard I created prompt based on scenario column (radio button) for Actual, plan, Forecast, and wht if.
I am able to show the current vs prior year data in the same dashboard for Actual or Plan or forecast or what if (depending on data availability in the database).
I want to achieve the same information in a single analysis report instead of two separate analysis reports. I do not want to create separate physical report for current and prior year data.
I need one analysis report which I can use in dashboard and depending on selection for scenario (actual , plan, forecast or wht if) I want to show the current AND prior year data the way I achieved in with two seperate reports embedded in their respective sections as explained above.
Does any one have idea how to achive this by building single analysis report?

As per I understand your requirement,
In your Dashboard create a Presentation variable which receives the value of year you select.
Now in your analysis, select the year column along with all the measures you want (Actual, plan, Forecast, and what-if, etc).
Create a filter on Year column and convert it into SQL. Put the condition as:
"Year" BETWEEN @{Presentaion_Variable} - 1 AND @{Presentation_Variable}
You will get the result for selected year and the previous year.

How to aggregate data with BI Publisher using an OBIEE analysis

Hello,
I'm new with BI Publisher, and I have a concern about the ability for BIP to aggregate data.
I am creating a data source from an OBIEE analysis containing the columns "Year", "Month", and "Revenue".
I want to use this source for 1 report containing several pages. One of the page has a simple table displaying only the Year and the Revenue.
But I get as many rows as number of months is the year.
And I cannot find any way to have the data aggregate inside my PIB table.
Can someone help me finding the solution?

Hi,
Unfortunalty BIP doesn't aggregate anything, like the BI server does. It will always show data on the lowest level.
If you use a query on the BI-server let the BI server do the aggregation and just remove the "Month" column. If you don't want to remove it from your OBI analysis, copy the logical SQL from this analysis to BIP. And select OBIEE as a datasource.
Then remove month from your query.
