Hi There,
I try to connect to EAS and I got the following error:
essbase error 101 all 255 user sessions are in use
I have administrator right, wondering how to fix this?

You must be on an older version and licensing scheme of essbase where number of ports could be restricted by license. Try bouncing off essbase service and you should be able to connect.
For future, add the settings to automatically kick off user session after x number of minutes to avoid ghost sessions.

Hi, all the users for the management access to my SA520 are blocked via web, all the admin users sessions aparently they seem active, and when i do click on the "continue" button these sessions does not terminate. What firmware version are you running? How frequent do you see this occurrence?
If possible, when you start to see this issue before all the admin sessions are reporting active,can you provide us the debug logs from your SA 520 so that I can forward to the development team to investigate? We are tracking an issue with a customer, but his device takes 3-4 months to show the symptoms you describe.
To get the dbglog from SA520, login through web UI and in the browser enter the following URL:
https://LAN_IP_address_of_SA520/scgi-bin/dbglog.cgi
These logs will store password, so please remove any sensitive information and passwords. Also if you are not comfortable posting the dbglog on the community, you can send it directly to me through private message.

Why user sessions are frequently blocked?

from the time that we did a database migration from oracle 8i to oracle 9i, and the application to developer 6i we have faced a new problem, ' the user sessions are frequently blocked'
anybody have any idea? it is a database parameter that must be changed?...

Since it was a migration from oracle 8i to oracle 9i, your performance is suppose to increase rather than decrease given condition that hardware and oracle configuration does not change.
How did you figure out that user sessions are frequently blocked?
You can query v$session_wait and check why it is blocked/waiting?
You can query v$locked_object to check if it is blocked for lock on some other objects?

I've got a problem with my User Profile Service Application. I edited my existing connection to add some new OU containers to the list, after the networks team had done some
restructuring to reflect an organizational change. Then I ran a Full Synchronization. But now all of my user profiles show up under the "Missing from Import" list. I still have 943 profiles in SharePoint, and not surprisingly, people search isn't
working. I suspect that I did something wrong in the process of selecting the Users OU containers in the AD tree (in Populate Containers), but I cannot see what, since I replicated the selections that had been made for an unchanged department, to
the ones that had been reorganized.
Any help appreciated.

According to your description, my understanding is that all the user profiles are showing up under "Profiles missing from import" list after you edited the existing User Profile Synchronization
Connection.
For your issue, it can be caused by that your User Profile Synchronization Connection is unable to connect to your AD. Please make sure the account used to connect to Active Directory to import
profiles has access to the Organizational Unit you are importing from. By default this account is the Default Content Access account. And the Default Content Access account must be a domain user account and it must have read access to external or secure
content sources that you want to crawl by using this account.
Then you need to check if the “Profile Synchronization” job status is “succeed”.
Also please check the “Sync filter” for the service, and make sure the account are not include in the Exclusion Filter for Users.
For a workaround, you can just delete the existing connection , recreate it and perform a full synchronization.

Acrobat X, error message "cannot delete pages, pages are in use"

Recently updated to Acrobat X. After saving a pdf, if I try to delete a page or pages, I get an error message "cannot delete pages, pages are in use". I have to close acrobat and reopen my document to continue deleting pages. Is there a fix for this? So far, I think Acrobat 7 was better that X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What OS are you using? Ive read that preview pane in windows vista and 7 causes an issue with the delete page feature. The suggestion was generally to turn the preview feature off.

Hi, can anyone assit. I am compiling a pdf by inserting several documents and am unable to delete specific pages. I have used this function on a previous Adobe Pro version but have a problem editing.

I use this feature once a month to extract / delete some 200 pages from an 800 page file. I found the release notes for 10.1.4 stated that this issue was fixed. I updated my Acrobat to the 10.1.4 release and i was still having the problem. I finally fixed it by disabling the Win XP compatability feature that i had enabled in the properties of the Acrobat executable. I had enabled this feature a couple of months ago as a fix to this specific problem, now it's not necessary.
Environ: Win 7 32-bit and Acrobat X, 10.1.4.

HT204400 I get no audio from this device. All my HDMI ports are in use with the cable box, DVR and receiver . My digital optical cable is also in use to the receiver. Is there a solution?

How exactly is the ATV connected if all HDMI ports are in use?
If connected directly to the TV, then audio is being sent to the TV speakers, not the receiver.

BC4J View not Thread safe, user sessions are using the same view instance

We are using BC4J that came with JDeveloper 10.1.2.0.0 with Oracle 10G 10.1.2.0.0.
I have an BC4J account search view (BC4J AccountSearchView) that users can call to search for an account. So this view could be used by numerous users and pieces of code at the same time. Now my understanding is that each user gets their own instance of the view so changing the view's query should not be an issue (since the view definition is not changing). Under a light load the account search view looks like everyone get there own instance of the view and there expected account search results. But under a heavy user load when we have User A and User B the search query that was for User A will be used by User B. So the user results for one user will get the other users results.
I do not understand if the view definition is been changed by the other user and is impacting all view instances. How can this occur if it is thread safe?
I have enclosed the core code for this search.

Nigel, we've only certified JDeveloper 10.1.2 against the Struts 1.1 with which it ships.
If there have been any changes in Struts 1.2 to the Struts Request Processor, then this could easily have an impact on the BC4JRequestProcessor's correct functioning, depending on what the changes were.
My quick look into the issue tells me that the ActionServlet init parameter named mapping in web.xml that we use for the 9.0.3-style BC4J/Struts integration is getting ignored by Struts 1.2. This parameter is used by Struts 1.1 to globally configure a custom ActionMapping subclass which can support additional properties. My quick test shows me that Struts 1.2 is ignoring this setting and so the oracle.jbo.html.struts11.BC4JActionMapping subclass of Struts's default ActionMapping is not getting used correctly as it does in Struts 1.1. This leads to errors when Struts tries to configure its actions in struts-config.xml since the Apache digester tries to set properties on the ActionMapping instance that don't exist (since the BC4JActionMapping has these properties, and it's not being used).

User Sessions are swapped

I have an application where users login and can view their personal information.
The server is iPlanet 4.1 sp8.
We are running JSP and Servlets on the webserver, Weblogic is the JAVA/EJB server.
We store users "ID" in the session to be used to query the data.
The problem is that User 1 is logged in and doing their thing and all of sudden they are seeing User 2 information.
This has happened once, as of now I cannot duplicate the problem.
We have 5 web servers clustered using a Cisco Content Switch.
Any Ideas????

We are having the same problem: one user "becomes" another user unpredictably. Our environment is clustered web servers but only one application server. Browsers are mixed. Session is is being 'swapped' one for the other erratically.

To retieve tasks when user tasks are created using Jdeveloper BPELDesigner

I am trying to get the list of tasks which are created using Jdeveloper BPel designer.
I have used the following code :

But the Jdeveloper bpel designer user task creates service which is TaskActionHandler..
please help me how can I get the List of tasks for a particular user for this problem

How the user credentials are transported using OBIEE webservice

Hi, we're trying to using the OBIEE web service api to interface with OBIEE, and would like to know in detail how the user credentials being passed with the web services request?. Which mechanism (protocol, technology) do this WebService use to provide security for the user credentials?

The Oracle BI Web Services API is a SOAP-based API therefore all the information is sent via HTTP requests containing XML messages. By default OBIEE will run the Presentation Services Web App server in non-secure mode. Therefore all the user credentials will be basically sent in clear text and will be subject to "a man in the middle" attack. It is possible to setup the Presentation Services to run in securely using HTTPS but I am unsure if the API will work over HTTPS.

One (the global Applications) is locatied at system level allowing ALL created accounts access.
HDD/Applications - path Theaes are accessed by ALL Acounts - It is normally the default
You also have an other which is located in your home folder . Applications installed here are accessible ONLY by the said user.
HDD/User/~/Applications - path You can use this location to install applications for your Exclusive use.

The BusinessObjects Enterprise SDK communicates with BusinessObjects Enterprise servers using a proprietary CORBA framework via TCP/IP.
This is so inter-server and server-client communication can be done transparently from the perspective of the API whether all services are on one or multiple machines.
You can configure BusinessObjects Enterprise services to use SSL through this communication. How you would do so is described in the Admin Guide.
You'd configure the SDK as you would the servers in as described in the Admin Guide.
For the BusinessObjects Enterprise Java SDK, that means specifying the four Java System Properties (as you would for Java InfoView) to point to the SSL configuration files.
That takes care of the connection from the SDK to Enterprise.
Set-up of secure communication from web browser to web app using the SDK is a separate matter.
By the way, the BusinessObjects Enterprise SDK is fully tested an supported only when used in a web application. Desktop and standalone apps using the Enterprise SDK are untested.

PIAFUSER and PIAPPLUSER get locked all the time - where are they used?!

Hi guys,
well i am no basis guy but i have to do the following.
We want to use one SLD for PROD & DEV. We chose DEV SLD to be the one!
Therefore i followed Note 720717 in detailed way.
Because there is mentioned i have to change sth. in Service SLD Data Supplier i did so in PROD for giving the SLD-Adress of DEV. This was looking good, i changed, saved and restarted service.
But now the User PIAFUSER and PIAPPLUSER get locked all the time - even without trying to get SLD-Connection.
When i do SLDCHECK we also get error:
Calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS
Retrieving data from the SLD server.
Function call returned exception code ....4
=> Check whether the SLD is running!
..and it is running!
Could someone help?! We already read post and blogs the last 4 hours but nothing helped that far!

And we get some errors from CC also - e.g. when we want to get a file read:
com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.ConfigException: Some of the IS access information is not available. SLDAcess property may be set to true, but SLD is not available.

well i already re-checked all pwds again like given in Note 936093.
Everything runs fine that far but again, the PIAFUSER gets locked, PIAPPLUSER doesn't get locked anymore - finally.
The reason why i was coming to this error is because we need to use one SLD - i described already.
So now we wanted to check our PROD Scenarios, running a test with a FILE-CC and got following error in CC-Monitoring:
ERROR:com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.ConfigException: SLDAccess set to true, but not available.
What could cause this error else than some stuff with pwds?!
Any ideas?! i work 10 hours on this crap now
