Essbase shuts Down Abruptly+Deployment to App server Failed

Hi Folks,
I was trying to Install 11.1.1.3 ...as far as the installation part is concerned it goes well However when it comes to configuring the configuration part fails and throws me the following error when trying to Deploy to Application server ...Here is the Log that was Generated in Configtool.log File ....Also when i try physically checking into the win services Essbase service shuts down after every services refresh ...Any solutions would be highly appreciated

I tried doing a fresh Install ...even that doesn't work.
Is it because i am using Apache 2.2 i even tried downgrading it to Apache 2.0.6 .Most important thing that i forgot to mention i am trying to configure using Web-logic 9.2 and not using the Embedded java built in controller .

  • Weblogic 11g abruptly shutting down while deployment

    Hi Guys,
I have configured a weblogic server in a UNIX box & the server works fine when i deploy a working ear.
But if the ear has any initialization codes (init) that throws error, the deployment of the application fails as expected but the server shuts down abruptly.
Is there any way I can stop the server from shutting down abruptly?
    Thanks & Regards,

Can you show what's happening in server logs.

  • My iMac has been shutting down abruptly

My new iMac has been shutting down abruptly the past week and after that I have to wait several minutes to try and see if it will turn on. At first I thought it was overheating, but even after being on less than an hour it shuts down. Does anyone know the reason why this is happenig? Oh, and I was just browsing on the internet, there were no weird programs runnig and the anti virus scan says it's clean.

Back up all data immediately as your boot drive may be failing.
This diagnostic procedure will query the system log for messages that may indicate a hardware fault. It changes nothing, and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator. I've tested them only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    syslog -k Sender kernel -k Message CReq 'GPU D|I/O|nspace-h|n Cause: -|timed? ?o' | tail | open -ef
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V).
The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear.
A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. Normally the command will produce no output, and the window will be empty. If the TextEdit window (not the Terminal window) has anything in it, post it — the text, please, not a screenshot. The title of the TextEdit window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that.

  • Whether java component (Not ejb, not servlet) can be deployed in App Server and get the services provided by App Server

As I mentioned in subject, I am just wondering Whether the java component (Not

    by App Server or not?

Nevermind folks - I got it to work. All my configuration was correct; I had other issues with the ejb-jar file that the verifier informed me of (my previous deployments were with the verifier turned-off).

My iPad keeps shutting down out of all apps.  If on FB, camera, messages, etc.  It will just go to a black screen and then back to desk top.  Could it have a virus, what should I do?

    Hi iPaduser58,
If you haven't already done so, you may want to restart or reset the iPad:

    Restarting your iOS device
    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
    2. After the device has turned off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Resetting your device
If your device stops responding, you can reset it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If the above does not resolve your issue, the next best step will be to restore your iPad using a computer with iTunes. Please be sure to backup your iPad first.

  • App Server Fails to Start after Installation

    Hi,
I've spent a whole day struggling with this, looking through forum discussions and trying out every single suggestion I've come across in the forums. I'm running out of ideas now and really appreciate any help I can get with this problem.
I'm trying to install SJSC2 (also tried with SJSC2u1 with the same outcome) on a new HP notebook (nw9440) running WinXP_sp2. I'm using the default installation done by HP.
My installation path is C:\Java\SunCreator2 (C:\Java\SunCreator2_1 for update 1).
After the installation the App server fails to start up and gives the below error in the server.log.

I've tried every workaround I've seen in the forums such as installing under different paths (both with spaces and without spaces), cleaning all the temporary files in the Temp directory, renaming the productregistry in the windows system directory. Each time I get the exact same error in the install.log.
I also tried installing the stand alone SUN App Server 8.1_02_2005Q2 as well as 8.2. I don't seem to have any issue with this installation or running of the stand alone server at all on the same machine.
Really appreciate any help I can get. TIA....

    Hi,
After spending more time looking through the forum, I came across the below thread which has worked in my case (though it was suggested for Sol10x86).
    http://forum.sun.com/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=62404&messageID=243113
This is the workaround that worked in my case.
    > $ cd <Creator_Home>/SunAppServer8/lib
    $ mv processLauncher.xml processLauncher.xml.trayIcon
    $ cp processLauncher.xml.bak processLauncher.xml
    # If you have a domains/creator/config/domain.xml
    $ cd ../bin
    $ ./asadmin start-domain creator
This started the app server. After that I was able to start and stop app server within the JSC as well.
Only difference between these two xml files seem to be,
    processLauncher.xml.trayicon
    <main_class classname="com.sun.rave.tray.RavePEMain"/>
    processLauncher.xml
    <main_class classname="com.sun.enterprise.server.PEMain"/>
Possibly pointing to a bug in the "com.sun.rave.tray.RavePEMain" class.
Thanks for your suggestions guys... and especially to Marco and Greg.

  • Deploy to Application Server Failed on a distributed environment

    Hi All,
I am trying to configure new Hyperion verion 11.1.2.2 on distributed environment but during configuring calculation manager to application server failed and getting error message like "Deploy to Application Server Failed". I am not sure what is issue and how to fix it. I have tried to read log files but I am not able to undersantd where to look and debug this issue.
My Hyperion Environment over view as a below:-
1- I have used Microsoft VMWARE to build my Hyperion Enviornment
2- I have created 1 window server 2003 domain and made 4 clients of that domain. (All these systems have windows server 2003 installed). I have given name to each client server i.e. System A, System B, System C, System D
3- I have installed SQL 2005 and created databases for all Hyperion components i.e. Shared services, calculation manager, epma on a system A
5- I have installed and configured foundation services and weblogic server on a system B. (In this system I have installed and configured shared services, weblogic, workspace, and able to deploye application server on a same system)
6- On a system A I am able to complete installation for hyperion Performance Management Architect and Calculation Manager and able to finish all type of configuration for these two components but as soon as system trying to configure any related to APPLICATION SERVER services it fails to configure. On a configuration summary page system shows everything is configured but APPLICATION SERVER says FAILED wrtten on a red color letters.
I have explored log files and found that Calculation Manager application server failed to deploy or Deploy to Application server failed.....
Since, I am not sure where to look and how to debug this issue I am requesting to all hyperion friends to help and guide me to debug as I have been trying to install this product since last friday and still no out put....
I will be really thankful if someone share his or her wisdom to help me....
Thank you to all in Advance.....
    Thanks,
    Safi

Did you install all the WebLogic web applications on the foundation machine as well as the machine they are going to be deployed to.
"On the machine on which you plan to administer the WebLogic Server, you must install all Web applications for all applications you plan to deploy on any machine in the environment. (The WebLogic Administration Server is installed and deployed on the Foundation Services machine.)"

  • OC4J shuts down servlet in web-app A during deployment of web-app B ?!

    Hey all,
We have a web-app A deployed to OAS 10g that contains a servlet with <load-on-startup> set to 2.
This servlet loads fine when the app is deployed.
However, when we deploy web-app B to our server, we notice in the logs that the destroy() method on the above servlet is invoked in web-app A! After web-app B is finished deploying, the init() method on the above servlet in web-app A is fired again.
    What's going on?
    Thanks.

I have posted this on the JDeveloper forum and been pointed in the direction of this discussion as it seems I am experiencing the same problem.....
I currently have an instance of the OC4J 10.1.2 standalone (current production version) server running, and am deploying 5 servlets to the same server. Once they are all deployed they all run fine without any problems at all.
However, if I need/want to make an update to one of these 5 servlets and then redploy it the server, the server effectively restarts terminating any open sessions that users may have on any of the other four servlets as well (i.e. users are forced to login again to the particular servlet they are using).
Is this a bug in the OC4J 10.1.2 standalone (current production version) server? or have I not set something in the deployment profile for each of these servlets/applications to prevent this from happening?
All advice/suggestions would be gratefully appreciated as soon as possible.
    Thanks in advance
    David

  • Weblogic client not shutting down properly in web app

    Hi,
We have an application running on Tomcat which uses wlfullclient.jar to connect to EJB's hosted on a Weblogic server.  We're seeing errors like the following in the logs when the web application is shutdown, which appear to indicate that the Weblogic client is not cleaning up threads upon application shutdown.
    Jul 31, 2013 10:44:10 AM org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader checkThreadLocalMapForLeaks
SEVERE: The web application [/myapp] created a ThreadLocal with key of type [weblogic.kernel.ResettableThreadLocal$1] (value [weblogic.kernel.ResettableThreadLocal$1@39c79485]) and a value of type [weblogic.kernel.ResettableThreadLocal.ThreadStorage] (value [weblogic.kernel.ResettableThreadLocal$ThreadStorage@5de7c565]) but failed to remove it when the web application was stopped. Threads are going to be renewed over time to try and avoid a probable memory leak.
    Jul 31, 2013 10:44:10 AM org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader clearReferencesThreads
SEVERE: The web application [/myapp] appears to have started a thread named [ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'default'] but has failed to stop it. This is very likely to create a memory leak.
Is there a recommended way (configuration, API, etc.) of getting the client to clean up after itself?
    Thanks.

    Hi Tim,
where did you deploy your Coherence jars? In the application (APP-INF/lib or WEB-INF/lib) or into the server classpath?
If you deployed it within the application APP-INF/lib, then you should register an application-specific ApplicationLifecycleListener in weblogic-application.xml which invokes CacheFactory.shutdown() in the postStop() method.
If you deployed it within a WEB-INF/lib directory, then you should do similarly from a JSDK ContextListener.
If you deployed it to the server classpath, then it has nothing to do with the application lifecycle, nor should it have, so it is normal if it does not shut down upon application undeployment.
    Best regards,
    Robert

  • OC4J Shutting Down while Deploying Web Service using JDevloper

    Hi..
I am developing Web Service using JDevloper. When ever I am deploying Web Services to OC4J server came with JDevloper bundle it automatically shutting down.
    How to solve this ?

This problem is solved now. By mistake when I am installing OC4J externally, I created environment variable "JAVA_HOME". As soon as I deleted this, problem is solved.

  • IMac won't turn on (has been shutting down abruptly in the past)

    Okay, hi everyone.
I've got a second hand iMac G3. It had problems with the hard drive earlier, so that's been replaced...
In the past month and a bit my computer has been abruptly turning off (not completely, the white light of the power button is still on when this happens) with no aparant cause. The screen just goes black like turning of a TV screen and I can't do anything but turn it completely off by holding the power button.
After this happens I would try and turn it back on, almost imedeiatly, but it wouldn't turn on: The power button would light up, and blink just slightly, with a slight tick/beep sound to accompany it. This is only straight afterwards though, if I leave it for a while then boot it up, it will be fine.
A lot of the time this has happened when I've just walked away from the computer without it doing anything, other times it happens right in the middle of doing something..
I haven't followed up the problem due to not knowing what it was at first and lack of time, especially this past month since I've been away overseas.
And now it's the last time it's shut down on me. I tried to start it up again straight afterwards, and of course the power light blinked slightly along with the accompaning sound. Turned it off, tried again a bit later, still didn't work. Now when I try to turn it on I press the power button, it lights up for a second then turns off. So my computer wont turn on, and I don't know what to do.
Hope one of you guys know what the problem is.
I was looking at these threads and someone had a similar problem (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1168792&tstart=0), something about the flyback transformer I think, whatever that is. Does anyhone think this could be the problem??
Another thing. Just days ago I was having problems burning cd's (probably still am), something about error code 0x8002006D and not being able to calibrate enough laser power. I don't know if this has anything to do with it...
Thanx for putting up with me, usually it's my dad but he's asleep sick..

No Kittytom is referring to his having found that his iMac wouldn't boot right side up but would upside down. Further circuit disturbance showed that it was bad soldering on the Flyback transformer that was the problem.
Also common were bad soldering on the HV capacitors in the area of the FT. Or just bad capacitors.
If your iMac had cap problems it would exibit that behavior.
Slow breakdown in the insulation of the FT would also act like that.

  • Deploying to App Server and OC4J

    Hi,
I am deploying my web service to our Oracle 9i 9.0.3 app server. During testing, I noticed that every consumer does not get it's own instance of the provider. Hence, it does not support concurrent web service calls.
From my understanding, this is an OC4J configuration issue, and you can change the deployment options where every session has it's own instance. Does anybody know how to do this?
    Thank you in advance!!!!

    Well,
Yes and no. I want every consumer to have it's own instance of the web service provider, BUT when the consumer is done, I want that instance garbage collected. In essence, I want to support concurrent stateless web service calls.

  • Problems between IDE and Deployment on App Server 8.2

I have an application that I wrote last year using JSC-EA and converted it ti JSC2-1. I can run the application on my development environment SunAppServer 8.2 with no problems.
When I attempt to deploy it to a standalone Sun App Server 8.2 I experience the following:
    1) Login page works fine
    2) Main menu selection page works fine
    3) Results page does not display information.
    More details:
    Main Menu page consists of:
    1) a page with a page fragment that contains a menu.
    2) 3 or 4 JSF components
    Results page consists of:
    1) 2-3 JSF text components (display OK)
    2) Same menu page fragment as above (displays OK)
    3) Second page fragment that contains a table with components added under program control (does not get displayed in deployment server, but displays fine in IDE server).
Is there ANY possibility that this can be related to migration from JSC2-EA to JSC2-1? If so, what could cause this behavior?
Is there ANY explanation as to why the application displays OK in the IDE (same app server version as deployment) but not in the deployment server?
    ANY help is appreciated.
    Thanks,

this happens to me too and I found that the cause is that the AM server you are going to configure, is already registered into the directory server.
Try running this command (with the obvious parameters substituted)
ldapsearch -B -T -D 'cn=directory manager' -w YOUR_CREDENTIALS -b ou=1.0,ou=iPlanetAMPlatformService,ou=services,YOUR_BASEDN -s base objectclass=* | grep YOUR_SERVERNAMEIf you found that the server you are configuring is listed here try going to AMserver console (if you have another AMserver configured) and browse to Configuration->System Properties->Platforms. If the server is here, remove it, if not, just hit Save (very important).
If this is your first AM and is a first installation you can just get rid of the Directory Server suffix and recreate it with the Top Entry alone.

  • Finding a pages URL once it is deployed to app server

Hi, I have deployed a jheadstart application to Oracle Application Server, I know the context root, and an authentication window pops up if I enter the context folder after the server name, but I can't locate the page I want within the context folder, the server returns file not found errors on all the paths i've tried...
How is the URL location of the pages determined? Is it built up from the file structure in the app server j2ee home, or does it depend on the application structure in Jdeveloper before deployment?
The jheadstart app structure is: Application -> ViewController -> Web Content -> pages -> mypage.jspx
The deployed folder structure in app server is : j2ee\home\applications\myapplication\ViewArchive\pages\mypage.jspx
So in this case what would the URL be after the context root to bring up mypage.jspx ?

    Michael,
Yes, you can add an index.jsp to yout web root dir, with the following content:
    <% response.sendRedirect("faces/pages/Home.jspx"); %>
In JHeadstart 10.1.3.2 we will geenrate such a file as a convenience.
You can also specify a welcome file in web.xml.
