Essbase standalone - login failed

Dear all,
I have installed Essbase 11.1.2.2 in standalone mode (without Foundation Services).
I did the configuration with -Forceregistry to configure Shared services database and deployed essbase in standalone mode.
Essbase starts correctlly within opmn.
When i ran EAS the first time, I create an easadmin user as Native authentication type for EAS.
But I cannot logon on essbase server. I tried easadmin/password, the default admin/password,
Error: 104: Invalid user name or password
Error: 1051012: User admin does not exist
It seems that no user is already created in essbase serveur.
Could you help me to resolve the problem,
Thank you

Hi,
You will find bellow the result of the test, after renaming essbase.sec file.

  • Essbase login failed & Cluster not available in Shared Services

    Hi,
I have installed & configured the EPM 11.1.2.2 in compact deployment mode i.e. deployed to Embedded weblogic server. Shared Services, Essbase, Planning & Reporting are installed successfully.
I am able to login to Shared Services, Workspace & EAS console with my admin account. But I am unable to login to Essbase from EAS console, MAXL & ESSCMD.
When I am logging with MAXL or EAS console, I am getting login failed error.
Even EssbaseCluster-1 is not available under Application Groups in Shared Services. Only Reporting & Foundation are there.
Please help me what went wrong.
    Thanks,

  • EssBase: Login fails due to invalid login credentials

I am currently running Hyperion System Planning 9, authenticating users through my LDAP server and am having a problem creating new users. I have gone through what I believe are the steps I need to take and have created my users but now when they try to login to EssBase, through the excel add-in, I get this message: "Login fails due to invalid login credentials"
I have searched the forums and the Essbase knowledge base and have come up empty. The only thing I have found is this:
"You just need to provision your shared services user with access to Essbase. Right-click on your user, select provision and then give them the required Essbase rights."
I have provisioned my users several times and made sure that they are added to the correct groups but they still can't log in.
Has anyone had this issue before?
    Thanks,
    J

Another point that you need verify, the service sequence:
    1. Start the analytic Services
    2. Star analytic Administration services.
    regards,
    Wallace

  • Cannot connect to olap service. Cannot connect to Essbase Server. Error:Essbase Error(1051293): Login fails due to invalid login credentials

    Hello All,
I am getting following error, when trying to expand essbase from calculation manager, "Cannot connect to olap service. Cannot connect to Essbase Server. Error:Essbase Error(1051293): Login fails due to invalid login credentials",
    I am using EPM 11.1.2.1
    Thanks

If you have moved the server to a new data center and an issue has started occurring then it could point to the change.
Are you able to log into essbase directly with Maxl using the same account?
If you run a registry report do you see any of the configuration with IPs instead of DNS/hostname

  • Business Rules login failed

When I try to access to the Business Rules in the EAS Enterprise View (I'm logged as admin), it says
    "Business Rules Login Failed"
If I go in Shared Services I can't provision additional roles to the admin user because the role related to Business Rules is not present.
It seems that Business Rules is not correctly configured.
So what I have to do?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    1. When you login into Shared services, on left hand side ,you see User directories and Application groups.
    2. Expand "Application groups" , here do you see Business Rules.
    3. You are telling us ,after you have expanded essbase, thats not needed.
Hope this is clear to you

So, we checked the database and noticed the schema and their views were damaged and -due to this- they lost all their properties (like data types, for example). So, we had to recompile all of them in order to avoid any loss of data. This was done in TOAD, as per the following info: https://support.quest.com/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL66821
Finally, once all the views on this schema were rebuilt and fixed, we were able to deploy the Cube again.
Hope this help in the future. Cheers!!

  • Error 1051293 - Login Fails

    Hi,
We have couple of MSAD users in a native group which has admin rights to Essbase server as well as Shared Services in 11.1.2.1. Can login to EAS but when we expand the Essbase servers we get "Error 1051293: Login fails due to invalid login credentials". However, provisioning the ID's individually is working.

    Hi,

  • Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication.

    Hello,
I have gone through couple of posts regarding this issue but couldn't get the right solution. Could you please help what exactly we are missing here.
    Details:
    1) we have two SQL instances on one standalone machine (Default Instance (2008 SP3) + Named Instance (SQL 2012 SP1))
    2) Both instances are configured to accept SQL+ Windows authentication.
    3) when we give access to our users they are getting following exception if they connect with 'windows authentication'. (For both instances)
Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication.
Note: (Being a sys + windows admin I'm able to connect both the instances from same client machine without
    any issues)
    4) Also, we observed following error in windows application event log,
SSPI handshake failed with error code 0x8009030c, state 14 while establishing a connection with integrated security; the connection has been closed. Reason: AcceptSecurityContext failed. The Windows error code indicates the cause of failure.
The logon attempt failed   [CLIENT: 192.168.xxx.xyx]
    5) If we create SQL login it is working fine without any issues.
Could someone guide/help  me identifying and fixing this issue.
    Thank you

    Hello,
Are those Windows Logins associated to domain Windows accounts? Windows Logins work for domain accounts and local Windows account created on the server where the SQL Server instance is installed (and used to login locally to the server).
Could you try to delete one of the Windows logins that fail to login , and try to recreate them?
    The following resources may help:

  • "account login failed" message when trying to login to SL Server

    Hello,
I have tried to search the forum, but can't find anything that addresses my problem directly, and hope you might be able to help.
I work in a school with a mixture of Macs and Windows systems.
I had a 10.4 server working (on a G5) with Windows only machines (before we got the macs), and have recently updated to an xserve running 10.6. I left the users home folders on the 10.4 server, and demoted it to a Standalone server. I am using the Xserve as an OD Master and Primary Domain Controller. I have created a fresh set of users on the the Xserve using Passenger (using the same short name as previously) and have directed them to their home folder on the 10.4 server. All windows machines can login fine and have access to the to their home folders, but when logging into a Mac they get the "account login failed" message. If I create a home folder for them on the xserve they can log in without problems.
How can I get the users (when they use the Macs) to get access to their home folder? The client macs are bound to the xserve directory and when I log on as Administer I can connect to the 10.4 server and gain access to the home folders.
I would be grateful for any ideas, many thanks in advance.

    Thanks,

It turns out there are something in the "Properties" attrib that this Sybase server
didn't like. After we took out most of the them, (only leave the user, sqlinitstr,
applicationname) , then it starts to work.

Sybase driver is a bit silly if it says to check the SQLWarning, because
    the

  • SSL VPN, "Login failed" and "WebVPN: error creating WebVPN session!"

    Hi,
Just ran the wizard for Anyconnect SSL VPN, created a tunnel group, a vpn pool and added user to it. When trying to logon on the SSL service, it simply says "login failed". I suspect that the user might not be in correct groups or so?
