ESSO: email password during password reset

Hi All,
Is it possible to customise the eSSO password reset server to disallow the user from logging in straight away after answering the password reset questions? Instead I would like to generate a random password after correct answers to the questions and send an email and/or a sms with the new password?

as long as you changed it through yahoo mail first, the way you change it in settings is-
settings> mail contacts and calendars> select your yahoo account you should see a username and password spot.
you may need to change it for your outgoing server as well, look around.
easiest to just delete account and re-add with the new password.

Based on your limited inputs, you can login to DC using built-in administrator account and open ADUC and reset the password of your custom domain admin account.
If you have no other administrator account, there is no Microsoft recommended way to reset the passwords for domain user accounts.

I have a problem with the component of ESSO (Password Reset 10.1.4.0.1), they comment on the case:
Install PR_Server on a host with W2K3 Server and PR_Client on a host with XP, when entering the host client and I click the area to use the Password Reset user login and answer the questions to enter when you configure the client in this host once completed this step and have answered correctly answers allows me to change my user password, Aca my problem the second time performing the same procedure will not let me change my user password.
Someone can help me solve this problem...

TS3899 Email Password Reset Assissance Requested

I cannot remember my email password for one of my accounts on my Iphone. I cannot locate an area in my settings that would allow me to reset my password.

You have to talk to your e-mail provider for this.

I know many other people have this problem but from what I read you need to post a new thread to have any chance of it been looked at. So here goes. My email password is blocked at lest twice a week, today it has been twice already. My Windows 7 laptop has full anti virus and is scanned regularly and has no problems, I do also pick up emails on an Android phone and tablet, could it be this that is causing the BT servers to think my account ahs been compromised? By the way it hasn't! Any means of turning this madenning feature off?
Maybe the Mods can advise me what to do?

Follow the advice regards password reset but ensure no other device is actively trying to access the a/c. Send yourself an email to the same account from the same account.
If first not received then send again and then again if that not received.
Strange advice I know but this is what I was instructed to do after making a formal complaint to BT whose suppoort called me back.
I was told it was something to do with the servers recognising the change as legit.
Not had a problem since doing all this and so as strange as it is, just give it a try.

Daily (or more) email password reset

BT is forcing me to visit the its website and reset my email password every day. This is becoming a serious issue - I can't check emails away from my home computer and I'm starting to loose track of the tens of passwords over the last few weeks.
I think this is a common problem
Is anyone inside BT aware of this ? Is anything being done ?
Does anyone know how to fix ?

A quick perusal of the forum would reveal that this problem has been ongoing for some users for months with no prospect of a resolution unfortunately. I'm sure BT are aware but as the problem appears to be with Yahoo, who BT are dumping as an email provider, they appear to have little clout in getting a fix.
BTW, there is no need to run out of passwords, simply toggle back and forth between 2 passwords. In fact I'm not even sure if the password change mechanism even checks for previous use of a password so might even be possible to 'change' your password for the same one.

I have lost my passwrod for Itunes account. I do not remember answer to security questions, choosing email reset instructions does not come to email my account (checked Spam folder already). My teenage daughter setup information and cannot find it.

As I stated before, cannot access reset password without the answer to security questions and email is not showing up.
If all you can offer is "contact support" or add a link to reset password, please do not bother with a reply.
Was hoping someone could read the entire problem and offer something besides the obvious "contact support" which is totally useless without security question answers or email reset instructions which, as stated, are not coming to my email address.

The website says to contact crouse and links to a locked thread here on the forums. I emailed him a couple weeks ago and again a few days ago but haven't heard back. Anyone know anything?

ICloud email password reset issue on MacBook

Further to the reset of my Apple ID account, I am not able to receive email on icloud mail address with MacBook Mail application anymore, whereas this change has not affected icloud email address use on iphone & ipad.

Additional information, the following error message occurs once checking account password for imap:

Itunes account password reset. icloud email unavailable...

this is a question for a friend, because obviously, i have an account to ask.
itunes account password reset because her son kept attempting to access account.
to reset password, link goes to email. however, her email was an icloud account. so it used the same log in as the itunes account.
she knows the secret question and answer to access and reset from the non-email password reset method, however, the birthday required to get to that question is inaccessible and does not work (she is a woman, and obviously lies about her age).
I'm thinking the only way around it is to either setup a new itunes account, which would erase the ipad data once that is connected ( i assume that ipads can connect with only a single account), or find some other way to access the secret question. there is no phone number listed for icloud.
the ipad is only backed up to the icloud account. she just bought a computer, so would like to make a physical backup of the ipad. I think it is unadvisable to connect the ipad and the computer, until the icloud account can be accessed.
I'm not very knowledgable of the whole icloud thing. it sounded like a good idea to back up the son's ipad since she didnt have a computer, so i gifted her the icloud account. now, i'm kind of responsible for figuring out the situation. any helpful comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

How can i change email address for security questions and password resets

I've noticed that my password reset requests are going to an old email acount. In fact, i am not sure where they are going.
the real issue is that i don't see a way to change it when i am logged in (it took me many tries to actually log back in) to my apple id account.
I've changed alternate email accounts, but again i don't see a way to change my destination email account for security section of the account.
Also i would rather reset these via text (ATT has this option for my cell phone account reset and i love it). I don't see an option like that from Apple at all.
Any suggestions and help will be much appreciated. Don't want to struggle with password resets every time i need to get in.

I responded to a Firefox email which resulted in my changing my theme by mistake. I wanted to change it back. That was about three hours ago. I tried to login to my account using the username, email and password I had written down for Firefox. They weren't recognised. I asked for a password reset. No email arrived on either of my email accounts. I checked the junk folders. I requested to register a new account on Firefox. I was told an email would be sent. No email has arrived. All I want to do is change the theme back to what it was because I can't read my tabs or horizontal menu items because of the colour scheme. I've read several troubleshooting suggestions but none seem to properly apply.

Tried with my birthdate but that is not accepting. Called apple 8002752273 and guy told me Apple has had problems with this for weeks. During the TBird installation I am asked to enter user/email/password but after repeated attempts only get error saying info incorrect.

After going through the Thunderbird setup on a Windows 8.1 computer, and after selecting IMAP instead of POP, I get to the point where it asks me to input name, email and password. However, when I do so, it invariably comes back and says my name and/or password are incorrect. Eventually, as I can go no farther in the setup process, I have to cancel out of setup. When I check for installed Thunderbird, Windows does not list it along with other programs in the add/delete window, I find no mention of Thunderbird, so I can't uninstall it. As I am attempting to use TBird with my gmail account, of course, the first time I tried this I got a snarky email from Google telling me that I was attempting to use an email client with lesser security, and giving me a link to go to if I wanted to continue with this less-secure strategy. I successfully set gmail to allow the installation of an email client, and again tried to install TBird, with the same result. I got another Google email acknowledging that I had reset my Google account to accept so-called less secure programs. Again, though, I got stymied at the same point and was again advised that the user name/email/password was in error.

I attempted to set up a Gmail account for my sister using Thunderbird to access her gmail account. I got the same result as the above message and could not get any further in the process than to be repeatedly told that the password or user name was incorrect, (which I knew they were not since that account has just recently been created). If I go directly to gmail, it will log on and allow her to view her messages easily, but attempting to use TBird it gives the same result every time. I take it that there is something going on with the authentication process in gmail, but it isn't clear to me what it means or how to deal with it in Tbird, so some clarification and elucidation would be really appreciated, she wants to use TBird since that is what she is used to and understands, and I would like to be able to insure that she can. My wife has a gmail account that is accessed through TBird and there is no problem with it and logging on to view the account, but my sisters new account is unaccessible with TBird.
