ESSO LM Agent Settings
Hi Experts,
I am new to ESSO. During installation of ESSO LM Admin 11.1.1.5 , i selected the minimal required options for installation.
Once after installing ESSO LM Agent at User's Desktop, For the first time it is poping up for "PassPhrase". User need to the Answer for the Pass Phrase.
How to suppress the PassPhrase option in ESSO 11.1.1.5. Do i need to set in Global Agent Settings? If so what is the Parameter name in 11.1.1.5 Version?

Yes you have to do it via LM console in Global agent setting,
As right now I don't have image running now, can't provide exact steps.
But, best way to study about ESSO configuration go to help of LM console and search your option.

In my test environment Am having the following
Oracle ESSO Logon Manager

IN Active Directory having two Organizational Units(OU) says
ESS , IMS
In both OU's am having 2 users.

In the admin console : Navigate to Global Agent Settings -> Live -> Synchronization
Disable role/group security support.
Note : Database Synchronization will not work with this option enabled
Then :
Navigate to Global Agent Settings -> Live ->
Synchronization->DBEXT ->Required
Specify the database servers with one of the following values:
Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle;Data Source=orcl;Extended
Properties='OSAuthent=1';
Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle;Data Source=orcl;User
Id=SYSTEM;Password=Manager1;
orcl
Then : Navigate to Global Agent Settings-> Live -> Synchronization
-> DBEXT -> Advanced and enable Append Domain when naming objects
To connect to the DB to distribute Application Use :
Connection String : Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle;Data
Source=orcl;User Id=SYSTEM;Password=Password1;
Repository Type : Generic Database
Then you can deploy application the the DB, using the configure SSO support....

I am new to ESSO Components. I am using the version 11.1.1.5.
I need to achieve one functionality which is related to LM Agent. At present, when ever i login into LM Agent, it is asking for Active Directory Credentials.
I want to suppress this functionality, so that when ever i login into LM agent it should automatically fetch Active Directory credentials.

I have changed the parameters as per below:
Located in: Global Agent Settings -> Live -> Users Experience -> Setup Wizard
Select Authenticator: Windows V2
Located in: Global Agent Settings -> Live -> ADEXT
Servers: ADServer:389
Located in: Global Agent Settings -> Live ->ADEXT
Credential to use: Try computer local credential. If it fail, use Active Directory....
And published settings to HKLM Live.
are you selecting Windows Authentication in the FTU (First Time Use)?
For the above one, i am using Primary logon method as "Windows Logon". And i am not getting any other option to select. That is the only option available.
I restarted the system. Even after that i am facing the same issue. When i login into LM agent it is asking for AD credentials.

Reporting Agent Settings - Authorizations
Hey All,
We have created a ton of settings in the Reporting Agent, but we could not determine which users would be defined under Authorizations. We've determined that all the same users should fall under all Reporting Agent settings.
Does anyone know of a way to make that happen all at one time, without doing it one setting at a time????

Thanks for the reply. We do have enabled local cache and ESSO is not prompting for password from second logon. But we need to surpress the initail window authentication for the first time. Is there any solution /workaround for this ?

Wily Introscope agent settings
Hi,
After the recent EHP1 upgrade on Solution manager,when we go to introscope agent configuration(Diagnostics Setup->Managed Systems->Introscope Agent)and select the system,it can't able to retrieve the current settings(i.e.,J2ee node).
{through we have select right Enterprise Manager}
We have also completed the post installation activities and successfully completed both the Initial and Basic configuration in solman_setup.
Any inputs??????

You will need Enterprise Manager 8.x for Solution manager EHP1 SP3 and up.

SCCM 2012 SP1
We recently had an incident where our a group of our clients in a OU started getting updates from Windows update. Additionally, the setting to check for updates was greyed out and now they have ability to check from Windows (MSFT) updates.
We have not made any changes to GPO's for that OU. When we run GPRESULT /H we see that for windows component/windows update that its pointing to our SCCM server.
We also have no deployments scheduled or run in the past 14 days. I looked at specific updates that were being offered and none are part of any deployment. I do know that for deployments I have set if can't get updates from Microsoft (ie If software
updates are not available on preferred distribution point or remote distribution point, download content from Microsoft Updates.
The only thing I can think of is someone toggled the "Enable Software Updates on Clients" on the default client settings as they were checking out how to deploy updates via SCCM.
My question is if this is changed from no to yes in the software update section of the Default Client settings if there are no scheduled or ongoing deployment evaluations would clients start getting updates from MSFT because they are not available on the
distribution point as they are not part of a deployment.Hi,
I have seen in some migration scenarios and when you uninstall/reinstall the client that the windows update agent will almost instantly as that Local policy which controls which WSUS server it should download updates from are removed, contacts Windows Update
and starts to install updates.
have you configured the GPO "Configure Automatic Updates"? it should be set ti disabled so that the clients never will go to Windows update in any scenario and as Jason describes here as well

As for my Business i need to configure the Commission Agent (Broker) its a textile Industry. In this there is not standard for each customer can have more 2 and also maximum percentage is 2% (Total Percentage) this percentage will be divided into based on the situation for example one sales order contains 4 brokers here 2 % divided into 1%,03%,02%,0.5% there is no fixed percentage but total % is fixed ie 2%
If My Broker has a vendor i assigned Partner Function Vedor to Customer Partner Functions
1.I created Condition Type V/06 (ZCOM )
2. XK01, I Created those brokers as vendors.
3. In V/07, i maintained access sequence with the combination of Customer / Vendor
4. In V/08, assign those condition types after tax condition type.
5. In VK11, i maintained the required percentage.
Coming to the Payment how Company will settlement the payment because every 3 months they will pay the commission amount to the broker
AND also we have to think about the one point " Some times Customer return the goods that time the commission amount will be reduced bcoz customer has returned the goods"
How we r going to adjuct the Commission amount in the System and also how to settle

Following is the steps you need to follow for your issue. I have not tried it on the system but you can try it.
Step1:
Create customer in XD01. Say the customer code is 100000
Step2:
Create Vendors in XK01. Say Vendor codes are 1, 2 and 3 (these will be used as your brokers)
Step3:
Assign Vendor 1 to customer 100000
Step4:
Create a Condition Table in V/03. Say condition table 999. Before creating the condition table make sure that Vendor is there is the field catalogue. If Vendor is missing then you need to first add Vendor in the field catalogue.
The condition table should be created as a combination of Customer (Key field) and Vendor (footer field).
Step5:
Add the condition table 999 in your access sequence, say ZACO.
Step6:
Now create 3 condition types ZCOM1, ZCOM2 and ZCOM3. Make sure that these condition types have Conditoin class A and Calculation type as A.
Step7:
Assign the access sequence ZACO to the condition types ZCOM1, ZCOM2 and ZCOM3.
Step8:
Now assign these 3 condition types to your pricing procedure (check if you need to assign them after taxes or before taxes)
Step9:
Now using T.Code VK11, create a condition record for ZCOM1. The record would read as Customer 100000 and Vendor 1, 1%.
Next, for condition type ZCOM2, maintain a conditio record as customer 100000 and Vendor 2, 0.5%
Next, for condition type ZCOM3, maintain a condition record as customer 100000 and Vendor as 0.5%
Step10:
Now create a sales order of say order type ZOR, for customer 100000, then vendor 1 will be automatically determined. But the other vendors will not be determined. You have to manually assign them. There is no other option as far as i know.
This way all your 3 condition types ZCOM1, ZCOM2 and ZCOM3 will be determined in sales order since the customer is 100000 and Vendors 1,2 and 3 are maintained in the sales order.
If you assign only vendors 1 and 3 the only condition types ZCOM1 and ZCOM3 will be determined.
Please test this scenario and let me know if this works so that I can explain how to do the settlement. You need to do a very small and simple enhancement for settlement. But I would like you to first try this out and update the form if this is working fine.

Introscope Agent Settings does not show J2EE Nodes
Hi all,
we are using Solultion Manager Diagnostics for 4 systems and everything is all right. We no installed a PI 7.10 system (for migration from PI 7.00) on the same server as the PI 7.00 system is. Agents are running and configuration is almost done, just the last step is missing or not working.
Now I want to configure SMD as well for the PI 7.10 system but I can see the J2EE Nodes on the SMD: Diagnostics Setup -> Managed Systems -> Introscope Agent
I am not sure how we did it the last times, because everything run smooth. One thing I remember, we could not see the second Java Server node of the PI 7.00 system in here as well.
Any Ideas how to do this?

ESSO: Agent not taking TitleBar properties
ESSO (nee Passlogix) v. 1.1.1.1.5. I'm testing some agent properties but the agent is refusing to respect the overrides that I am putting in the Global Agent Settings and then saving into the HKLM. In particular, the 'Show titlebar button' and 'Provide drop down menu' items. Other items that I have tested like changing the tooltip and displaying the tray icon work as advertised, but the ones related to displaying the titlebar or the menu. Showing the button isn't really an issue because we want it there, but even when I change those settings directly in agent, it doesn't seem to respect the settings in paricular the 'Show dropdown menu' setting. We REALLY want the button to initiate the log on process when that is clicked.

JamesApparently this is a new "feature" of 11.1.1.5. If you have the admin console open (which as a developer I always do) the titlebar button and menu will always be present regardless of any setting to the contrary. Shut down the console and it behaves correctly.

How to Implement ESSO in Active Directory
Hi All,
I'm Newbie and just installing LM Admin COnsole in Server WIndows 2003 (AD Server Too).
I tried following the instruction from manual Book to sync with AD Server. I tried add web application let's say yahoo mail login page and defined the fields.
After that, from repository AD, i configure sso support to add application that i have added.
and then, i login to the domain AD in another workstation that have installed the ESSO Agent. After login, i didnt see any application loaded in Logon Manager.
What configuration that i missed?
Please need help and please provide some example configuration.

Just for your information, do not expect to see all the applications pop-up on the client's list right away. They will appear each tim a user adds one, through the FTU Wizard or one by one at runtime.
My configuration works with the following settings:
- Global Agen Settings > (Your Registry Name) > Synchronization:
Enable role/group security support: "use role/group security"
- Global Agen Settings > (Your Registry Name) > Synchronization > (Your Synchronizer) > Required:
Set to connect without SSL for testing
- Global Agen Settings > (Your Registry Name) > Synchronization > (Your Synchronizer) > Advanced:
Configuration Objects Base Locations: set it to the branch where you store your eSSO config
Servers: type in the name and port of your server like "localhost:389"
I recommend you to check every setting one by one to see if they are relevant to your installation.
Once done, the easiest way to setup the Logon Manager, is to generate an MSI (Tools > Generate Customized MSI). Install the Agent and check the connectivity. To do that, simply double-click on the eSSO LM icon (in the windows bar). CLick refresh (upper right) and "Add". The list of configured apps should be displayed in the combo. If not, chek your agent settings again.
I think it comes close to what you are trying to do. Just in case you already installed the LM agent, I would suggest that you remove it completely if you want to reinstall. You may want to check if the registry was cleaned up: HKeyCurrent User/Software, delete the Passlogix entry if still there.

Oracle eSSO - File System Synchronization
I'm having a lot of trouble just setting up a simple file system synchronization for Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On v10.1.0.2 or v10.1.0.4 (I've tried both). I've tried it many ways, but the agent never seems to be visible to the admin console. Here is the simplest example:
On a single test machine, install the Admin Console. Use the Admin Console to create a new set of Global Agent Settings. Leave everything to default except under Synchronization, click Manage Synchronizers. Create a new synchronizer with synch type 'File System'. Go to the Required subkey and enter a network share under 'Server'. In this example, I created a share on the same local machine. The share gives 'Full Control' to 'Everyone' and 'Domain Users' groups. Save these settings in the Admin Console. Then Go to Tools > Generate Customized MSI in the Admin Console, exporting the newly created Global Agent Settings to the customized agent installer MSI. Then on the same test machine, install the agent by using the customized MSI. During the agent installation, choose 'Custom' and enable installation of Extensions > Synchronization Manager and File System synchronization type.
So, that's what I've done. When I then go back to the Admin Console and connect to the repository (the share setup on the local machine) and select 'Configure SSO Support', the result is that it creates a folder called 'People' and two override objects: ENTLIST and ADMINOVERRIDE. That's it. No matter how many or where I install agents on this computer or elsewhere on the network 1) the admin console does not seem to see them 2) the ENTLIST of customized applications never gets pushed to the agents. In fact the ENTLIST shown in the Repository within the Admin Console does not seem to update when the apps list in the admin console is updated (even if I press 'Refresh' in the repository).
Can anyone help? Is it something silly like the order in which I've done things, or did I miss a step somewhere?Hi,

I'm able to configure the admin console (connection to AD, create a global agent for my AD server). When I install the ESSO-Agent on the same machine (where the administrative console is already installed)...it's quite easy because the following "option" is available : "Export Apps to Agent"!!! Using this, there is no problem.
On the other hand, when I install the ESSO-Agent on the user's workstation...it's really an other story :o( For the monent, I'm not able to get the credentials (pre-configured applications) from Active Directory. I think that the (Global Agent) settings have been successfully pushed into AD, but I'm not able to get them from the user's workstation.
What are the steps to realize this operation (get the pre-configured applications from AD)?
I always get a connection window which requires the following three parameters: username, password and user path.
Because AD is my backend server, I thought that the following "values" were correct...., but that's not the case, and I'm sure that I'm not connected to AD:
username: cn=toto toto,cn=users,dc=name,dc=com
password: mypwd
user path: dc=name,dc=com
