Bonjour nous avons des problemes avec notre infrastructure BO , nos deux serveurs sont en version BO XI R2 11.5.9.10.76
en mode Cluster, des utilisateurs sont ne parviennent pas à se connecter, les états webi tournent en boucle , la liste des services CMS ... sont tombés en panne , malgré un redemarage du serveur nous avons toujours les mêmes erreurs suivantes
Votre Session webi va expirer Déconnectez -vous et reconnectez- vous de nouveau à Infoview(erreur : WIJ 77778)
une erreur interne est survenue lors de l'appel de l'API 'initinstance' (Erreur : WIS 30270)
impossible d'acceder au serveur Web Intelligence. Addressea-vous à votre administateur Business Object (erreur: RWI 00236)

for the second, the business object version is 11.5.9.1076
these errors appears to users when they use webi:
impossible to access to webi servers contact your system administrator (RWI00236)
your webi session will expire please deconnect an reconnect (WIJ 77778)
an internal error has come on the call of API (initInstance WIS 30270 )
in another part
we can't manage to open " infoview " in one of the two server in cluster Mode or when we choose the name of the server

Je gère une éolienne à distance grâce à la publication WEB. Tout se passe très bien sauf lorsque la connexion se fait via un proxy. Pourquoi? Comment m'en affranchir?

Le problème est très simple : par défaut la connexion interne du lycée passe par un proxy ; dans ce cas fenêtre distante affiche "erreur de connexion".
Si par contre dans Internet Explorer 6, dans Outils/ Options internet/connexions/paramètres avancés ; je coche "ne pas utiliser le proxy pour les adresses locales", j'obtiens la face avant sans problème. J'ai le même problème depuis l'extérieur.
Je ne connais pas exactement les paramètres du firewall, mais l'essai précédent me fais dire qu'il n'est pas en cause.
D'apès mon administrateur réseau, la publication WEB de LabView enverrait des données dans l'entête des paquets, et le proxy les modifiant pour son routage, la fenêtre distante génére l'erreur de connexion.
Configuration de LabView :
VI serveur configuration : tout coché ; port21
VI serveur liste d'accès TCP/IP : liste : * ; autoriser l'accès.
VI serveur VIs exportés : idem
serveur WEB configuration : activiver le serveur WEB ; Port 81 ; time out 300s.
Serveur WEB accès par navigateur : liste : * ; autoriser la visualisation et le controle.
Serveur WEB : VIs visibles liste : * ; autoriser l'accès ; temps controle : 300s.

Check the 'hosts" file for adobe entries. if you could see adobe entries there follow the below mentioned steps.
1. Go to the 'Hosts' file location.
WIN : C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
MAC: Go to finder menu on the top > go to folders > type '/etc', hit return.
2. move the hosts file to the desktop.
3. Open it.
WIN: open it with notepad.
MAC: double click it.
4. Delete all the adobe entries, as they are blocking your machine to connect to Adobe Activation Server.
5. Move it back to '/etc' folder.
Solution # 2
1. Check if you are working under any sort of firewall (system/network) / proxy.
2. Disable firewall / proxy.
Solution #3 (Should work)

How is performance of Appache Web Server + Tomcat?

I am wondering how the performance of Appache web server + Tomcat => Java enabled web server is ?
such as handling multiple users, heavy web traffic, JSP-JavaBean performance...in a real industrial setting?
If "Appache web server + Tomcat" is an excellent choice, why companies still spend big bucks on things like WebLogic, JRun, etc?

Thanks for your reply. I think that I did not make myself clear. I meant that if a small company just wants to build a web application for internal/intranet use (which only utilizes JSP/JavaBean and Servlet features). No EJB, no JMS, etc. Will Appache web server + Tomcat suffice, say for scores of users to access this application concurrently?

Erreur de connexion iTunes

Salut tout le monde, ça fait maintenant une semaine que je tente de me connecter à ITunes pour ajouter de la musique ou faire mes mises a jours mais ce message s'affiche "le serveur des mises a jour de l'iPod n'a pas pu être contacté...". J'ai tout essayé pour résoudre ce problème mais je n'ai malheureusement pas réussi. Si quelqu'un pourrait m'aider ou si quelqu'un a déjà rencontré ce problème et l'a résolu, n'hésitez pas a me contacter car c'est urgent.
PS, j'ai un iPod touch 5 et mon PC est sur windows vista.

Hi, here I have the same message on a french iMac 21', with iTunes 10.5.3 on OSX Lion 10.7.3.
In iTunes preferences (parental control), Radio is disabled. Why does it continue to bug me ? Why does it stop playing *local* MP3 files when this message comes in ?
This is very, very annoying and frustrating because I don't use the Radio functionnality in iTunes, I just totally don't care about this message.
I will try to disable "Podcasts" too and see if it helps.

J'avais deux machines Installées. J'ai tout désinstallé mais pas d'amélioration ???

1)Oracle DB server and Oracle J2EE container are located in different places. The jsp in Oracle report web layout was generated. I put this JSP on the Oracle J2EE container and tried to run this jsp:

you don't get it to run on OC4J, so why don't you fix this problem first ?
I think question one comes down to whether Oracle Reports is supported on Tomcat and the answer is no.

Running servlets not described in web.xml (tomcat-4.1.24)

Is it compulsory to have a entry in the web.xml to run a servlet in tomcat-4.x. In tomcat 3.x it was not required. If it is not a must how to enable that??

i had completly forgotten i could just place a servlet in the web-inf/classes. after using jsp for so long, some things just get lost.
what im wondering now is if i can have other directories inside the classes directory and still be called while not being registered in the deployment descriptor ? in otherwords, lets say i have several servlets organized into packages. can i call a servlet thats in a particular package if i fully qualify the class ? guess ill have to try

Web.xml Tomcat 5.0 Servlet problem

Hey guys....
The last time I used a servlet was before the new change in security in Tomcat. Ive been looking all over the net for some easy references about how they are to be mapped but no matter what I try nothing seems to work.
My servlet is located in ROOT\Admin\WEB-INF\classes\colt and is called AddOLO.class
My web.xml file is located in ROOT\Admin\WEB-INF and contains the following code:

All I seem to be getting is a 404 Error Saying The requested resource (/Admin/servlet/AddOLO) is not available. Can anyone see what is wrong here?

I don't think there's anything to prohibit you from deploying servlets in ROOT, but webapps that have pages and servlets that work together should be in their own context. That's what you did when you created the directory under webapps. I think it's the right way to deploy web apps. Even better, learn how to create and deploy WAR files:

Once you have a WAR, which is simply a JAR'd version of the directory you just created under webapps, you can simply pick it up and deploy it by dropping it into the webapps directory of any Tomcat server. Tomcat will unpack it for you. - MOD

I have got tomcat5.0 running and am having trouble mapping my servlet so that it will run with the browser. Please tell me where I am going wrong. Java servlet test.HelloServlet compiles OK I have place the HelloServlet.class file in the following directory

web.xml is placed in the /WEB-INF/ directory

Should be localhost:8080/trial/HelloServlet, you are forgetting the name of your web application in the url.

# of Connections between Web Server (Tomcat) and Weblogic AppServer

          does anybody know how many connections are used between a TomCat WebServer and the Weblogic ApplicationServer?
          - One?
          - One per active browser-user?
          - Configurable? (freely, in some ranges, which values are recommandable?)

Hi,
While not an exact solution to your problem, I seem to recall a similar issue, not with this web server though, but similar still. As far as I recall, the problem was related to the loading order of the library files and overlapping class files within those libraries. I think it was an issue with j2ee.jar/javaee.jar and jbossall-client.jar.
For the standalone test, you have probably checked the following, but check again :)
- Exact same JDK
- Libraries in the web server lib directory
- Libraries in application/WEB-INF/lib
- Loading order
You might also want to check how war file class loading is done in the web server sp6.

Web.xml - Tomcat vs iPlanet

I have a web application which was written using Forte with its built-in Tomcat engine. The application works fine in this environment.
I created a war file and put the application on our iPlanet server using wdeploy. I can open a JSP in the document root, but all of the servlets give the error "HTTP 404 - File not found".
Is there a difference in how the servlets must be referenced in the web.xml file for iPlanet vs Tomcat???

Weblogic7.0 requires that servlets be mapped to a
url:

I don't know specifically about websphere but I
suspect that may be the problem.The servlet was mapped to a URL.
The problem was that Forte did not require a leading slash, while iPlanet did require the slash:
Forte:
<url-pattern>myServlet</url-pattern>
iPlanet:
<url-pattern>/myServlet</url-pattern>

Drill down/up on Webi causes TOMCAT to crash

Hi,
I have installed BOE XI 3.1 on Solaris 10 <SPARC> on Solaris zones with Oracle 11g R2 database and Oracle 11g R2 32 bit client. This is the DEV environment. My client was given a .biar file which had a custom built sample universe and some reports to go with it. Now that I have the DEV environment up and running, i migrated the contents of the .biar into DEV. I can open all the reports and refresh data. But whenever I hit the drill button and try to drill, it causes my TOMCAT to crash and I have to manually start tomcat again in order to connect to my environment. It does retrieve a fair amount of data. Are there any settings that I need to change for the webi processing server/TOMCAT? This keeps happening on a regular basis and I have no clue why it crashes. Can anyone help, please!

Yes, that's correct. However, the file needs to be sourced again for the changes to take effect. Preferably, using a new terminal. I am sure you must have done already but, just in case.
Since the standard steps don't seem to help, I am sharing what I would have done if I were you.
If this were a 32 bit system then, I would probably upgrade the JDK once to see if this helps (and probably Tomcat as well). And for a 64 bit system, I would try installing 64 bit versions of both Tomcat and JDK.
If still it crashes, I would open a support ticket with SAP and pull them in. BTW, are there any changes in ine log messages?

The web hosting machine is based on JSP / JSF running on Apache Tomcat/5.5.15 & Sun Microsystems Inc. VM 1.5.0_06-b05.
OS is Windows 2003 V 5.2
The database backend is based on MySQL, mysql-essential-5.0.18-win32.
We need to add content related to:
a) Players contact details;
b) Teams;
c) Match reports;
d) News;
... and other dynamic content
We are looking for an out-of-the box FREE open source Web application we can deploy on the web hosting machine.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I haven't tried ICEFaces or JBoss seam or Apache MyFaces, so I can't really compare them.
ICEFaces appears to be a nice framework/tool from looking at their site, even though it's open source I think one has to pay for support, you might want to take that into consideration while making your decision.
Apache MyFaces, is fully community driven - so you get free support from the community.
I don't know about JBoss seam.

Web Sharing / Tomcat

Why does the leopard firewall suck so badly compared with Tiger? Ever since upgrading the only way to get to my tomcat app server is to "allow all incoming connection". Any other setting logs the following to the firewall console log:
Apr 21 22:41:24 sandbox Firewall[52]: Deny java connecting from 10.0.1.1:38473 uid = 0 proto=6
Web Sharing is enabled, Tomcat runs on port 80. What else should I be expected to know?

<FORM ACTION="/djalma/ShowParameters" (Added a slash before djalma)From your error message, I'm guessing that your url to access the page with the form is in the form:
http://www.whatever.com/form/postform.html
when you leave off the leading / it will try to post to /form/djalma/ShowParameters, which does not match your URL pattern in the web.xml servlet-mapping.
