EULA Agreement.

Dear Experts ,
As per the EULA we have license for 65 professional user license , 25 limited professional users & 15 employee users.
Now we have 99 users dialog users with various levels of authorization.2 system users & 1 Communication user are there  .
i guess Only dialog user comes under the license agreement . By next week auditing team is coming . am confused with the type of user license agreement . As per the license we can have 105 users i guess .
will it be a problem during auditing.
Kindly help me at the earliest.
Thanks in advance!!!

Hi,
You need to check definition of professional and limited professional user as per EULA agreement and then compare with the access users are having in the system.
Thanks

  • Photoshop elements won't run, eula agreement error

This week one of our users began experiencing a problem with using Photoshop Elements 5.0.  She knows the application worked fine on her computer a few weeks ago, but when she tried to use the program today she is being asked to accept or decline the user agreement.  Once she clicks "Accept" the program then gives her the error message below:
"Your Adobe Photoshop Elements EULA agreement has been declined or is invalid.  The application cannot continue and must now exit."
She clicks "OK" and the program exits.  What has happened?  Do we need to re-install?  We work in an environment where we have no administrative rights on these machines and so we are trying to avoid getting the IT folks to re-install since they could take a couple weeks.  Please help us figure out this problem.
    Thanks!!

This is a recuring issue for me, most likely caused by a registry cleaner. I can go months - as many as six without that lovely greeting. I have found no other way to correct it other than a reinstallation.

  • Photoshop Elem 5.0 EULA agreement declined or invalid

I have had this software for a few years
    - apparently it is VERY VERY OLD, according to the technical department at Adobe.  But
it was working fine and I like it.  I don't want to be forced to upgrade.
It now starts up with an license agreement - accept or decline buttons - then it shuts the program down - as the EULA agreement is declined or invalid.
There is a missing serial number or invalid user name - who knows?
Can anyone help, as I would like to use my software?
    Thanks

  • Adobe Reader X EULA agreement issues

This has been commented on before, but I have a few other things to add we have seen at our company.
    Previous thread was http://forums.adobe.com/message/3791868
    Issue 1:
Cannot open emailed pdf attachment or any PDF locally that contains the uppercase Letters "CR" in the title.
    Three workarounds:
    1. Have Adobe Reader opened first before opening the pdf file attachment.
    2. Save and rename the file—removing the uppercase CR.
    3. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\FeatureLockDown]
    "bProtectedMode"=dword:00000001
Options 1 and 2 are not a good solution for the mass public when you may have 100's of thousands of files that contain CR. Option 3 we cannot use because of a conflict with SAP software we use.
    Issue 2:
Pdf document will not open and gives the EULA screen
    Resolution:
Check to see if the client has the full version of Adobe Pro.
If so, uninstall Adobe Reader X, using the Add/Remove Programs.
A repair may also be needed on the Adobe Pro (use repair found in Add/Remove Programs for
    Adobe.)
There may be a Adobe "Best Practices" article I missed, but this was the first major issue we had with clients running both Acrobat and Reader on the same computer.
Is there any sort of patch expected from Adobe to correct these?

We fixed this issue by installing patch 10.1.1. You can download this patch from Adobe’s FTP site: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.1/misc/ .
The cause was that many of our auto-generated documents contained the “CR” in either the filename or pathname.
    Good luck fixing this issue!

  • Installing XCODE on Maverick fails, accept button for EULA is broken

I am trying to install latest XCode from Appstore on my MAC with Maverick installed.
I cannot proceed beyond the Eula agreement. It allows me to print the agreement and o disagree but NOT agree.
Anyone that knows what this is??
This is my first try to install a dev environment on a MAC.

I rebooted and now I could proceed with the installation. Sorry should have tried that option first. I did install Eclips just prior to Xcode. That may have had someting to do with Xcode failing to install.

  • Lenovo System Update Broken, IA.exe command path error

Hello, I've been fighitng with Lenovo system update through out the years for various issues, but I believe I've found a new error that all my searching doesn't seem to cover. When I do a fresh image of Windows 8.1 and install system update, it works for the first and sometimes second run and reboot. But after these first uses, it completely fails, along with System Health and some of the other Lenovo software. I've managed through some trial and error and looking through the logs to narrow this down to the IA.exe program and the command being sent to gather information. Here is the command found in the tvsu logs: /execute ia.exe /arguments -filename$C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\System Update\egather\sysrecomin$ -probes REGIONAL_SETTINGS GATHERER_INFORMATION SYSTEM_SUMMARY -local /directory $C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\System Update\egather\$ /type COMMAND /timeout 300000 Immediately after this is called, the system calls TVSUCommandLAuncher, and then reports RC eGAther: -1 and that it failed to execute TVIA program and quits. My error in System Update is that it couldn't gather client information. So I took the command and tried to run it myself, having to remove the /execute switch as I wasn't calling this some somewhere else. ia.exe /arguments -filename$C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\System Update\egather\sysrecomin$ -probes REGIONAL_SETTINGS GATHERER_INFORMATION SYSTEM_SUMMARY -local /directory $C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\System Update\egather\$ /type COMMAND /timeout 300000 This when run, will throw "Error: The given path's format is not supported" message. I tinkered with the command line for a while before I figured out what was going on. It seems the "$" being used for the Filename and Directory settings are no longer functioning, and causing the program to not parse properly. I replaced all the $ with " and suddenly I can run the command manually, and it generates the output file properly. Now though I'm still stuck, as there's no way for me to edit the command being called by system update, so it will always improperly format its call and then fail. Does anyone have any idea what in the world is going on here, I can't figure out what would be causing this and why it works the first one or two launches, then never works again. This also causes any lenovo software that uses IA to freeze up, like the system health software from lenovo.

No, I don't do a silent install due to the license/eula agreements not functioning properly unless you've got an on-site repository.  So its just after imaging via SCCM I'd install system update, run it once to get things installed, and then when I would attempt to run it again, or lenovo system health, they'd be permanently broken.
On this topic though I believe I sort things out.  I was having issues with the systems later that turned out to be two corrupt files dealing with Windows Store app, and using SFC and DISM to try and repair them fails.  After a lot of searching around I found that someone with Windows 10 preview had the exact same two files corrupted, so my thinking is there's some windows update out there causing issues, and the IA.exe program is affected by these corrupted files.
I had to get my win8.1 Install.wim file from the server, and then direct my broken system to use that as the source to do a dism cleanup and restorehealth.  Once it completed it repored it was able to fix the two files and I've not had any more problems and was able to capture the images (previously capture failed because sysprep reported the OS wasn't in a good state).
I've still not gone and tried to install the realtek audio driver that I know caused the break, but thats just due to time limits with the project, if I have some time I'll try and install and see if things still function afterwards.
So to break down the events:
Clean Win8.1 Retail image, used SCCM to deploy onto a machine, run windows updates on the machine and install Lenovo System Update.  Things looked okay until I would try to run System update a second time after rebooting, then it was broken due to IA not being able to gather data.  Later after SFC and DISM scans was able to see that two files were being reported corrupt and unfixable, one I know is related to Store app, other I think is a library file for the Apps.
Fixed the files by getting the Install.wim from my iso file, telling the system to use that for the source as the online sources weren't working.  Dism was then able to fix the two files and I could successfully sysprep/capture the system with SCCM tools.

  • Acrobat 10 won't start anymore

Love how you spend thousands to get the latest software from Adobe, and then when you simply need to open a PDF file right before a presentation, the application won't open.
Found one discussion that advises to uninstall and the reinstall.  Seriously?  And I need to download Adobe's special "the regular uninstaller process does not work so use our alternate" tool?

Same problem running CS6 Master Collection Acrobat X Pro on Win 7 64-bit.  Had just created a .pdf from a webpage by printing to Adobe PDF.  Gave the file a name, saved it, it popped up on the screen just fine and then Acrobat promptly disappeared.  Now Acrobat will not launch.  Have tried the usual gambit of solutions to no avail.  Seems obvious to me something in the last update FUBAR'd Acrobat.
Sorry for the blow by blow that is about to occur below, but I am trying to give as much info as possible so that maybe Adobe will get this fixed ASAP.
I just deleted the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD\cache\cache.db file. That does allow acrobat to launch, but it launches to the EULA agreement (see screenshot).
I click "accept" and it there is no animation on the button.  It acts like it is not accept the selection, but if you wait a couple seconds you get this screen:
Apparently I have a trial good for 89+ years :^)...  anyway, click to License This Software and get this screen:
I select Sign In and it takes it a bit, but eventually gets to provide serial number screen:
Of course, guess where my license number is?  Yep, saved as a .pdf.... so I exited out of the license page (NOT backed out) and restarted it with the intent of using it in trial mode to get the license number I need.  When it launched, it went to the splash screen and seemed okay, so I open a file and it seems fine.
I then click help>product registration.  It brings me to the CS6 Master Collection screen and asked for me to enter my adobe id/pw.  Upon doing that, I receive this
And it appeared to be working now.  Acrobat is showing me it is at version 10.3.1
But it is buggy.  I can work in a file for a few minutes then the Master Collection Trial page already shown above pops up, my license status that was okay a few minutes ago is now back to "Complete/Update Adobe ID profile and we are in a loop of following the above steps over and over.  *sigh*
I've got things to get done today!  I'm going to use it for a while and see what happens.
    I'll post an update later.
If anyone has any ideas or further info please let me know.
    Thanks!

  • Stupid noob question:  Will Mac OS install on an intel-based machine ....

.. that previously was running Windows?
I have a friend (really - it's not me) who is considering moving to Mac OS, but doesn't want to buy a new box. I'm pretty sure the answer is "no", but I thought I'd take the temperature of the experts.
    Thanks.

If I understand your question, your "friend" wants to install it on a non-Mac Intel chipped box. It can't be done without violating the EULA agreement and it can't be done without a long series of hacks. Violating the EULA will result in Steve Jobs taking your first born child, the hacks will result in a Frankenmac.

  • Adobe Reader XI fails to launch after Install (Solution)

Earlier this week (5/29), I upgraded to Adobe Reader XI on Windows 7, and I experienced complete failure of the application to launch. Reinstalls were attempted as well as the Adobe Reader cleaning tools, but those processes had no effect. After doing some digging, I found the following error entries in the Windows Event Viewer:
Faulting application name: Eula.exe, version: 11.0.0.379, time stamp: 0x505fc5b0
Faulting module name: nvdxgiwrap.dll, version: 8.17.12.6696, time stamp: 0x4d4a29db
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x0000282a
    Faulting process id: 0x22f0
    Faulting application start time: 0x01ce5e2f79ed2056
    Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\Eula.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\CoProcManager\nvdxgiwrap.dll
    Report Id: b7a70181-ca22-11e2-a1d5-b9e8c6ec20d2
This was triggered every time the application was started (either by opening a PDF file or manually starting the application). The culprit here is another executable that is apparently being ran by Adobe Reader XI  called Eula.exe. This executable is exactly what you would expect it to be. It displays a End User License Agreement, but apparently does so poorly. To fix the issue, go to the directory indicated in your Windows Event Viewer error message (in the above it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, which is located next to "Faulting application path:" and open the Eula.exe application manually.
Read the EULA, agree to it, and you will be able to open Adobe Reader.

    Hi Inayal,
That message was from May 31, 2013, several months ago. That log entry no longer exists in my eventvwr. However, I did post the specific error message above, which showed me which application the Adobe Reader was trying to launch but failed, and that is how I figured out which application was holding up Adobe Reader. From what I remember, this is the only message that displayed in the eventvwr regarding Adobe Reader.
Yes, I do have an NVIDIA driver (NVIDIA NVS 4200M). Driver version is 9.18.13.1100 (1/10/2013). However, what I believe you're seeing here is an "Access Denied" failure (code 5) which is returned by CreateProcess in the Windows API. The typical cause of an Access Denied failure is not having both read and execute permissions for the directory/executable you are trying to launch. I would check the code where you are calling CreateProcess or CreateProcessA (if this is C++, if it's something else, then that function is likely calling CreateProcess or CreateProcessA) and make sure you are getting the appropriate elevation to start the application from the Program Files directory. My best guess is that this ShellExecute is running into problems inserted by Windows Vista/7/etc. through a technology called UAC. In order to run this other executable from a system directory (Program Files), you will probably have to ask for "runas" permissions which will prompt the user to elevate your permissions to execute another system executable (this is the user that owns the EULA executable on my machine).
You can read more about User Account Control here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Account_Control
Here's an example of using the "runas" verb with ShellExecute to run another executable and prompt the user for permission to execute another System executable:
In a native Win32 application the same "runas" verb can be added to a ShellExecute() or ShellExecuteEx() call.
    ShellExecute(hwnd, "runas", "C:\\Windows\\Notepad.exe", 0, 0, SW_SHOWNORMAL);
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    James

  • Lenovo offering Windows refunds in Germany

I know from several people in Germany that Lenovo is offering Windows refunds of 30 Euros for people who do the following:
turn down the Windows EULA agreement
mail back the Windows serial number tag on the bottom of the laptop
    return any Windows media
write a letter stating they will not use Windows
There is a standard pdf for people to send instead of a letter. I have a copy of this file. Let me know if you'd like me to email it to you.
How about doing the same for here in North America? I seriously want to buy a T61 laptop but will NOT PURCHASE a Windows license. I hear Dell will be expanding their Linux offerings to the XPS line of laptops. Unless Lenovo offers Windows refunds I will probably purchase a Dell with Ubuntu preloaded.
LENOVO, DO THE RIGHT THING. OFFER WINDOWS REFUNDS!! WE DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR SOMETHING WE WILL NEVER USE!!

Hi Hackmeister, welcome to the forum,
a link would be a nice idea.
I'm in germany and haven't heard anything about such an offer, unofficially or otherwise. I would be interested in more details.
    THX in advance

    Hi:
If you're planning to use the HDD as boot drive - it'll not work & is a violation of Microsoft EULA agreement for Windows operating system.
About RAM, it depends on whether the configuration of RAM required for the other laptop is exactly the same as  DV6-3019WM.

  • SP1 and sysprep.exe

    Hello to all,
My question is this. I am using unattend.xlm file to prep my computers before i deploy them. I was able to do the following.
Suppress EULA for when the computer starts, activate Windows with a script that is inside my xml file, and keep my drivers.
As of right now when computer starts all i get is prompt for a computer name (which is fine with me), SP1 EULA agreement (which i want to supress somehow, i want it to be excepted by default just like i am doing with Windows EULA), time zone comes up(even
though i set the time zone in my xml file), and Network location (even though i set this in the xml file as well)
My goal is to have just one thing to show up when computer starts and that is how i want to name the computer.
    Thank you for your help.

  • Changing the email tone (not the sms tone) IPhone 3G

Is there any way to change the boring low sound of the (new Email) tone to be something else? switched from my Black Berry to the new 3G (love it) but hate that I cant change the tone to be something I can actually hear.

No, currently there is no way to change anything besides the ringtone of phone calls. The only way is if you "jailbreak" the iPhone, but it is against the EULA agreement and will void the warranty on the device. Apple may or may not add this as a feature in the future, you can send them a email with the hyperlink below and hopefully they will actually listen to the user's feature requests.

  • [SOLVED]VMware-Workstation install error

Anyone else getting this error while trying to install VMware-Workstation-Full-10.0.3-1895310.x86_64.bundle? Just started happening after latest kernel update, installed just fine before.

Please post the output of the following:
    pacman -Qs libcanberra
    pacman -Qi linux
    uname -a
if the version numbers from the second and third command don't match, reboot.
Thanks for the info, I already had libcanberra installed. I manually do that after a fresh install so I don't know why the errors show. Anyway I found out I can do this:
    ./VMware-Workstation-Full-10.0.3-1895310.x86_64.bundle --console --eulas-agreed
    pacman -S linux-headers then reboot
    uname -r
    find / -name headers
    Worked after that.
