Euphonix MC Control - doesn't seem to work for me..

Okay, I've been working with an "Euphonix MC Control" for the day.
The jog wheel doesn't seem to want to work in FCP - or it's full on.
The faders don't seem to want to respond to anything at all.
Nothing seems to be customisable, except for the 'softkeys' - which isn't very interesting to me, as I mainly wanted it for the transport, jogwheel, faders, and knobs.
Am I missing something?

It speaks Eucon - which is one of the many competing new control languages there are around. Eucon is a nice idea - uses UDP/TCP packets over ethernet - so it can deal with multiple workstations and so on.
The server software is called "EuControl' - and is licensed with the hardware only, as far as I can see.
Yes - I understand what you are saying about volume knobs - but I think that you may be missing my point, which is that I want to be able to assign these faders to arbitrary controls across Mac OS Apps. I can do it with other midi devices - eg with Automap Pro (though Novation hardware doesn't come with mechanized faders - which is annoying).
Having paid a LOT of money for mechanized faders packeged with supposedly fully customisable server system, it's pretty annoying not to be able to use them outside of FCP and Logic.

Using a jQuery list box placed onto a tab control doesn't seem to work for posting?

I developed a U.I. in Dreamweaver for a product and have several list boxes that use the onChange modifier to collect what the user selects from the list. I use the onChange=this.form.submit() function to grab the user's selection from the list box..
When this dropdown list box code is placed onto a form, it posts properly and I can retrieve the user's list selection. If however I place the list box code onto a Tab page from a jQuery Tab Control, developed in Dreamweaver, the posting doesn't seem to work.
I must be missing something because identical code is working fine when the list box code is placed on a form yet when the code is repeated from within a Tab, it isn't working.
The code is simple, and shown below). The list values are coming from a MySQL table.

I made a call to Verizon and they can't seem to stop this number from Tuson either. I got the third round of calls in the last few days to three different Family Lines a few minutes ago. Twenty cents doesn't seem like much, but an extra one or two dollars a month mounts up. The message says that they are responding to a request from me, but I don't have a mortgage to re-do!

Did you add this number under Spam Control or Call and Message Block? If you add the Call and Message Block, you will be able to add up to five 10-digit numbers to the block. This will prevent a number from being able to call or text your phone. Below I have provided you with the steps to add this block, as well as unwanted numbers.
Sign in to "My Verizon" using your [Account Owner] number and do the following:
Select [Safe Guards] tab
Select [Call & Message Blocking] tab
Add/ remove numbers
[Save Changes]

My iPhone 5 randomly shutdown and rebooting doesn't seem to work for me, what should I do?

It also happens when I'm charging my phone, and also the battery percentage doesn't show that correct battery level not unless I turn off and on.. I tried rebooting the phone but it doesn't seem to work for me, random shutdown still happens..

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.

Forum search doesn't seem to work for Date Range 'ALL'

Forum search doesn't seem to work for Date Range option: 'ALL' .
For a given search criteria, I get few search results when the date range is chosen as 'last year', but for the same search criteria, when the date range is chosen as ALL, no search results are shown (not even the ones shown earlier for last year selection).

Parental Controls doesn't seem to work as desired

I've read many threads on this topic, but no solutions that work for me yet. I've setup time limits for both kid's accounts. Initially, I thought they were working. However, after each account "timed out", and I allowed additional time using my admin ID (even 15 minutes extra), the time limits no longer seem to work, at least the bedtime login limits. At first, using exact same settings on each account, and AFTER bedtime, the first account that I had allowed extra time for (2 days ago!) allowed login after bedtime.
Next, I tried this on the second account, allowing only 15 minutes extra time. Now my son can login to that account after bedtime. Looks like I can't trust the bedtime controls.
I've disabled parental controls shut down, used command option PR to clear memory, still same problem
Has anyone been successful using parental controls, or do I just stop trusting it?!?

My daughter's time limits were restricted to 30 min per day only, however she found out that rebooting the Mac, 2 or 3 minutes before her time expired, allowed her to start again with a new 30 min session again... over and over.
Time limits file gets corrupted more often than expected, so I solved my issue with the time limits by recreating the file, as follows:
a) Login with your credentials, assuming your accounts has Full Admin rights.
b) Launch a 'Terminal' session. Mine was located at Finder -> Applications ->Utilities -> Terminal
c) Login as root using your credentials with the following command:

Locked screen music controls doesn't want to work for 'remote', Why?

When the screen is locked and you double tap on the home button, basic music options display, it's the top dar of the music app. This function works perfectly with the music app but the remote app by apple to control iTunes doesn't seem to be compatible, it seems stupid but possible. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything, and that its not just me and my iPad.

I know how the remote app works and how the locked screen works .But that's exactly what I said, the remote app will not control anything on the iPad. It only controls the iTunes library on your computer.
it wouldn't matter if you could get to the remote app with screen locked - even though you cant because it will not control the Music app on the iPad.

ENET-232/4 doesn't seem to work for some instruments

I have an ENET-232/4 and it works for some analog-digital interfaces I'm using but doesn't work for other instruments. I tried using a Shimadzu LC2010 with it, it configured OK, but the instrument wouldn't start a run. I tried a Thermo TraceGC and it wouldn't even configure through it. But simple A/D interfaces (PE Nelson boxes, SS420X, etc.) are working fine.
Are there limitations on the type of instrument that can be run through a ENET-232/4?

Possibly - if the software is written with hard timings (like it writes a command, waits 10 ms for the reply, then writes a seconds command, etc.) then its going to run into problems communicating over a high latency communication link.
Sometimes these timings are adjustable - are there any options in the program for adjusting communication timeouts?

Sun's demo using enum doesn't seem to work for me

I'm using NeBeans 5.0 on Java 1.5.0_06.I can't say for sure about that; it seems very odd. However, I do know that my IDE will warn me about those sorts of things if I configure my project for pre-1.5 operation. It allows me to say a project is for Java 1.4 even if I'm using a 1.5 JVM and will mention things like that so that forward compatibility can be considered. I don't suppose this could be the case with your situation?
You might want to search for all instances of "enum" in your code, though, because it's hard to imagine the one instance which appears in the snippet you posted causing problems.

Well, in this case you can just do

In general, however, you can put pretty much anything into an enum:

Feed doesn't seem to work for iTunes submission (gives me error message)

So I've typed up the code for my podcast and literally copy and pasted the example rss feed from the specs page and just replaced it with all the info for my podcast. I tested out the feed through the Podcast Subscription through the iTunes "Advanced" menu and it worked fine, but for some reason when I submit to the iTunes directory, it gives me the following error:
Error parsing feed: Invalid XML:Error on the line 12: The element type "META" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</META>".
I checked the feed on the Feed Validator page and it seems like everything is in order but iTunes keeps giving me this error.

which is a downloading page. The feed must be a plain text file in the format described, strictly with the extension .xml; and you must post a direct link to it in iTunes.

Adjust Clip Speed Doesn't seem to work for me

In iMovie 09 I double click on a clip in my project. The inspector opens. It says an entire clip must be converted to adjust speed. I click to convert clip. When finished I never see any speed adjust slider as indicated in the help file. What am I missing?

I reopened the file today in iMovie and first time I DBL Clicked on the clip the speed control showed up without the conversion step! Alas problem not solved but went away!

[Solved] IgnorePkg doesn't seem to work for me, what am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to prevent "pacman -Syu" from installing the package "xf86-video-ati-6.12.192-1" onto my system and no matter what I try in "IgnorePkg" in pacman.conf it always installs this pkg. I've tried both "xf86-video-ati" and "xf86-video-ati-6.12.192-1" in the "IgnorePkg" but pacman always wants to install this package. If I delete it from /var/cache/pacman/pkg it will still download this pkg and install it.
What is it that I'm doing wrong?

Sound Check doesn't seem to work for ipods?

I'm having trouble with the volume of songs on my various ipods (ipod version 2, newest touch, and my iphone 5c). While the sound check works in itunes, I have to constantly adjust the volume for the songs on my ipods. Is there a way to get around this or to fix it without having to spend a ton of money? I would just like it so that I don't have to keep adjusting for every song.

I have a MacBook Air which has a camera installed in it but it doesn't seem to work for some things like iMovie and my security camera for emergencies. It does however seem to work for Photobooth and facetime. Please write back and help my mac's problems.
