EURO sign not displayed correctly after unicode migration

All,
Don't know where exactly to post this, in BI forum or Netweaver Platform.
But here is my question:
We have migrated our SAP BW 3.5 (NW04, SP20) system from codepage 1100 (using general fallback codepage 1160) to unicode UTF-8. After the conversion graphic reports (using internet explorer) do not show the euro sign correctly in the unicode system. In stead of the euro sign a # is shown in the internet explorer window. When looking at the source of the same web page however the euro sign is showed correctly.
When looking at the encoding of the web page it is mentioned that utf-8 is used...
Any ideas...?
Thanks,
Regards, Bart

Hi Manoj,
It is with displaying of graphical data that the error occurs. Text data (tables) on the same web page are shown normally, with the correct euro sign.
When I look at the source of the web page it looks that for the graphic a java script is being called:
/sap/bw/Mime/BEx/JavaScript/JSBW_C_Std.js
Withing the coding I see the euro sign normally, however in the graphical display this is converted to #.
I have run the suggested query. The database nls_characterset is set to UTF8.
Thanks,
Regards,
Bart

  • ICloud status not displayed correctly after changing tags

    Hi everybody,
I have just below 25 000 songs in the iTunes library that I use for iTunes Match (my complete library is actually much larger but I created a separate library to stay below the 25 000 songs limit).
After changing some tags in iTunes (I had some artists listed twice, once in the format "<last name>, <first name>" and once "<first name> <last name>" and wanted to harmonize this) the iCloud status of most of my songs is no longer displayed correctly. If I create a smart playlist containing all "matched" songs it finds only about 1000 songs, a playlist for "uploaded" songs contains only about 250 songs, the vast majority of my songs simply have NO iCloud status whatsoever (not even "waiting").
Trying to fix this, I selected all of my songs, option clicked and chose "Add it iCloud". After waiting some time, nothing changed. The funny thing is: iTunes match reports that 24 669 songs (the correct number) are available in iCloud.
So basically everything works and I am also able to download all of my songs on my iPhone. Still, it's a little bit annoying that the iCloud status is not displayed correctly and smart playlists filtering for iCloud status don't work. Does anybody know a way to fix this?
    Thanks for any help,
    Andreas

The reason why the C3850 switch stack is showing as standalone in LMS CiscoView is because
    it's returning sysObjectID as standalone.
It should return as 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1745 --cat38xxstack
While, if you poll it for sysObjectID, the Catalyst 3850 stack switches will be returning OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1641.
This is an IOS bug "CSCul00003 - Incorrect Sys OID for Cat3850 Stack device".
Unless this bug is fixed, LMS will not be able to show it as stack device.
You can try to check if you can manually change the device identity to cat38xxstack from Inventory > add/edit device > edit identity.
Else we need to wait for the fix of this bug.
    -Thanks

  • Gradient fill not displayed correctly after applying a rotation angle

    Hello,
I've created a rectangleframe and applied a gradient fill, and afterwards I have applied a rotation of -90 to the gradient fill. After the rotation the gradient does not display correctly anymore (after saving the document to .idml I've noticed that the property GradientFillLength was not recalculated after rotation). Is there a command to force the update or am I missing something? This problem occurs in InDesign CS3/CS4.
    Thank you

Thanks. I saw those threads but this is not that issue. I really think that this is a bug in the latest update for illustrator.

  • Embeded Google map (iframe) not displaying correctly after jquery .fadeIn?

    Hi,
I have created a popup window that displays a Google Map after a button is clicked. The map works fine if the popup window =display:block. But as soon as you give the popup window display:none and use jquery to display the window them map doesn't load correctly.
    Any help would be great.
    See jsfiddle for code.
This is what the map should look like after the "Venue" button is clicked using jquery fadeIn.
    Thanks

  • Last text block not displaying correctly after XML import.

    Hi,
I have an .indd template (CS6) and script which imports XML and flows it into as many pages as it requires.
Occassionaly on the last page, the text doesn't display although it is all there and formatted correctly. Going in and out of preview mode doesn't change it.
If I click on the out port or resize the text box slightly, it displays and is fine from then on.
Any suggestions as to fixing it?
As always, many thanks in advance for any assistance.
    Cheers,
    Simon.

Thanks for that. I get 'story is undefined' - how do I defined the story (autoflowed text)?
Sorry for the newbie question - vascilating between various projects at the moment.

  • 1080i video from a Canon HF200 not displaying correctly after iMovie/iDVD

I'm not a technical person, so pardon my lack of technical terms.
I recorded video with a Canon HF200 HD video recorder in 1080i. When I plug the camera into my TV via HDMI and watch the video, it's gorgeous.
When I export the video to iMovie it still looks fine ON THE SCREEN. Same in iDVD. When I burn the DVD and play it, it looks like CACA!!!! The video stops filling up the screen and creates a black band on the top and bottom of the video.
What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it? Would Final Cut Express 4 fix the problem and minimize the workarounds that I need to get HD video to display properly in iMovie?

in iDVD, instead of "Share to iDVD", Share to Media Browser, at the highest resolution, i think they call it "HD". That will import it into a .mov file (that now resides within the iMovie project file). Open up iDVD and open up Media browser then iMovie and you should fine that version there. Drag it into iDVD and make the DVD. The "share to iDVD" option looks like "caca". This version, while hardly HD, looks a LOT better and may be tolerable. DVD by definition, is a compression, I would not dummy down your camera, that could only make it worse. I'm not sure about the black lines. You exported it (from camera to iMovie) at the 16:9 ratio I assume?

Try this without the border images and it will work in all browsers with increased text size. That's assuming eBay supports embedded CSS styles (which I'm not convinced they do).  Inline styles are safer IMHO.

  • Umlauts not displayed correctly

    Hi,
We have developed a screen in 12.1 and the umlauts (German & Spanish) are not display correctly. Is there a language pack / custom actions we need deploy for this to work properly?
    Regards,
    Chanti.

Its those special characters with a pair of dots on their head, like ä etc. These are not being displayed properly in the Web UI screens after upgrading to 12.1.
These special characters are coded in the alert/warning/error messages in a .js file. Two things here -
    i) When we did the migration from 11.5 to 12.1, those got transformed to a [] (read squarebox) sorts. Are these something that the migration tool can't handle as desired?
ii) We fixed these characters manually in the code in 12.1. But when we run the script they are still not displayed correctly in the Web UI, for instance ä is being displayed as A~, something like that. Wondering if we need to deploy some custom actions or add a line at the top of .js or .html code?
    Regards,
    Chanti.

  • Some character display incorrect after unicode conversion

    Dear Experts,
Currently we upgrade our SAP system from 4.6B NU to ECC6.0 UN.
in 4.6B system we had implemented Simple Chinese and French language package to the system. after upgrade to ECC6.0 no-unicode system. we perform a MDMP unicode conversion.currently system running with ECC6.0 unicode interface with language 1EFD. SUMG releated tasks had been finished. Chinese and French language checked OK in ECC6 UN system.
Our issue is. in the past time. some Spanish local end user typing some spanish character in some master date field when they login in 4.6B GUI choice english as login language.these kind of spanish characters could not display correct in current unicode environment.
could you please given us some suggestion for how to fix this issue.
I also sent this message in the Netweaver administrator forums with below links.
Spanish display incorrect after unicode conversion

    Hello,
I doubt that the data shown by you in the link was caused by Spanish users logged on in EN.
I think this was rather caused by utf-8 data uploaded into the Non-Unicode system.
In this case, you need to repair the according texts manually, I do not know any automatic repair.
