Eurpean license costing double that of the US one

As I move away from fixed employment and develop myself as a freelancer, I have decided to go purchase the latest version of the CS package. Here-in lies the problem, in France a CS 4 Design Premium license costs $3530 compared to $1800 in the US, is this normal?
Why exactly are Adobe making us pay such a premium, especially for something which is digitally distributed? Does this not drive us to piracy? The cross Atlantic price delta on RRP for other products is nowhere near this high (IT hardware, video games (physical and direct download), iTunes store etc.. )
Finally, were I to buy a license in the US, would I be able to use it if I mark France as being my country when I activate the software?
I genuinely want to buy your software, but it's out of the question that I do-so when I am so grotesquely over-charged, I'm sure you can understand.

I am in the same position and frankly pissed off!!! Everyone around me uses pirated software. I want to upgrade and pay Adobe the $$$$ but I ain't paying European rip off prices!

I want to know as well. Has anyone upgraded to US CS4 recently using European English package? According to http://toolfarm.stores.yahoo.net/adobeproducts.html there should be no problem but I want confirmation from a third party.
I just want to activate my software register it and get on with my work without getting shafted for not being in USA!!!!

Yes. You need 2011 or later in order to mirror as it requires the newer processor. The alternative is airparrot, which does it via software.

Licensing Costs for SAP and SAP Business One

Hi,
I have to make an analysis for my boss.
Does anyone know in general how the licensing works for SAP ERP and Netweaver solutions and for Business One ?
I am not getting the information I need from SAP's website.
I have been told the outline price on the ERP side is 4500U$D per seat/user per year. Is that a flat rate and then you can install as many sandbox, dev, test, prod systems and you like ? Or do you also have to pay a license fee for all of the installed systems in your landscape ?
And how much does the licensing for SAP One cost and how does it work ?

SAP softwares are not like any other buy n use softwares like winamp.
SAP delivers its solutions only through authorized partners.
First thing is you need to contact the Implementation partners for the respective softwares.They will give you a quote after studying your business scenario.

$4500/user? Yes it is around that range for SAP Business One. But definetly it will be much higher for SAP ERP.

Moving multiple projects that reference the same one event...

After a help and advice from several of you here, and watching and rewatching some tutorials, I finally figured out how to properly move/archive projects to an external drive. But I do have at least one question:
Say I copy a project to an external drive along with its referenced event(s). All is well as far as that project concerned, and I want to delete both the project and the event it references from my secondary internal drive. But I have some other versions of that same project I also want to move from the same secondary internal drive to the same external drive. Of course, I don't want to duplicate the referenced event again. So how do I do this?
From the tutorials, I'm guessing the best way to do this would be to duplicate the projects to the external drive. Then, if I find I want to use them, I can open them and link them to the same event on the external drive.
Is that the best way to do this? I don't guess there's any way to move several projects that all reference one event to an external drive in a way that automatically links them to that event on the new drive?

Thanks for the link to the tutorial. I'll definitely watch it. It's actually by the same people that did the tutorials I'm using, but it might have some new information or help reinforce things.
My particular problem was moving over the other project files to go with the event that I already moved. I didn't know how to link them to that newly-created event on the new drive, but, it turns out it's pretty automatic as long as the event has the same name.

Just i received iphone 4S, earpod can't insert with the iphone. Becuase of the hole was slope. Can i claim that with the new one.

The cover with the keyboard at the Apple store would not work with this iPad. the Air is thinner and wouldn't click in and activate the keyboard. Do you know of a cover--or when one will come out that does work?

I reinstalled my mac os x, and anytime i try to update my software its asking me for an administrators name and password, i enter it and it comes back wrong, and that is the only one i have, i have been to keychain but it does not make any sense to me,

Stick the 10.6 disk into the computer and reboot holding the c or option key down, select the disk to boot from.
In the installer menu is a Utiltiies menu and a password reset.
If you don't remmember the name, reboot the computer holding the command and s keys down
a black screen with white type appears, when it's finished, dbackspace any extra ssss you have made and then type
ls /Users
(that's Larry, Sam, space, slash, Users)
and press return, a list of user names on the machine appears
type exit and reboot and use the 10.6 disk to reset your password

Upgraded to 8.0.2 on 5. Lost all photos in camera roll and photo stream. I used a recovery tool that shows the photos are still in there 'somewhere' but they want $70 to recover them. Any free methods? I shouldn't have to pay for Apple's screw up!

Also, I did a backup on iTunes before the upgrade but after the upgrade completed, it performed a backup that overwrote the last one I did. At least I think it did, there is only one backup showing up in the MobileSync-Backup folder on my computer. Also, in iTunes on the bottom of the screen, the bar that shows how much storage space is being used by what, its number of pics is several hundred more than the number of pics on my phone. The ones it didn't erase were in a different album that I had uploaded from my computer (ironic that the pics that I didn't lose in the upgrade, I already have copies of on my computer). Anyhow, I used a trial version of recovery program called Wondershare Dr.Fone for ios, and while I'm definately not here to promote them, after it did the scan on my iphone, it showed thumbnails of all the missing photos, along with everything else I'd ever done on my phone lol. So I do know they are in there, I just can't afford to pay $70 to retrieve them, nor do I think I should have to as the upgrade caused them to be missing! Does anyone know of a free recovery tool? I never used iCloud, so that is not an option either.

The Mt Lion installer deletes itself from your Apps folder when it has finished the installation. It is available to download again should you ever need it, such as to install on one of your other qualifying Macs. You don't have to continue to download it and install, it's installed.
Is there something else going on?

Allan was somewhat incomplete in his statement. While technically it would be possible, from a licensing standpoint you need one license for each iPad unless those iPads were all going to be used by the same person (which I think unlikely given your described use). Here are the relevant terms of the iTunes Store agreement (emphasis mine):
"(ii) If you are a commercial enterprise or educational institution, you may download and sync an App Store Product for use by either (a) a single individual on one or more iOS Devices used by that individual that you own or control or (b) multiple individuals, on a single shared iOS Device you own or control. For example, a single employee may use an App Store Product on both the employee's iPhone and iPad, or multiple students may serially use an App Store Product on a single iPad located at a resource center or library. For the sake of clarity, each iOS Device used serially by multiple users requires a separate license."
So you would legally need to purchase one copy of the app for each iPad, something which would require an iTunes Store account for each iPad. For normal purchases, each iTunes Store account would need an associated credit card or prepaid iTunes card.
The Volume Purchase Plan works similarly - you still need one license and one iTunes Store account for each iPad - but the purchasing is centralized so you don't get billed multiple times. You get one recemption code for each license you purchase. See:

How much will it cost me to replace the whole top screen of my macbook, including the part that pivots to open and close it?

I'm not sure of what it's exactly called, but my whole screen (including the black part that attaches the screen to the keyboard) is in bad condition. My screen is cracked, and when I open my macbook, the hinge is loose and flops and does not stay in place. Does anybody know how much it would cost for a replacement? Would I be better off buying a new laptop?

You should call the repair shop of your choice and ask for an estimate. Make sure the estimate includes taxes, labor costs, etc.
Remember, no one can give you an exact figure until the repair techs physically examine & run diagnostics on your computer to confirm what is wrong w/it.
