Evaluation copy message on 3d graph

Hi,
I am using a 3d graph in one of my programs. It works fine on one computer. When I transferred the entire code to another computer and opened it up, the 3d graph displays the message "Evaluation Copy" on it. What should I do now?

Bingo. A few more questions to narrow down the answer.
Did you have the beta version of Measurement Studio 6.0 or LabView 6.1 installed on your computer in the past?
Do you know if your version of LabView is the base edition, the full development, or the professional edition?
The base version only installs an evaluation version of 3D graphs, so this is the expected behavior. If you have installed a full or professional version of LabVIEW, then you should have a fully registered license for the 3D graph and should not be encountering this behavior. Once I have your answer for the first question, we can go through a step to make sure that this behavior is fixed.

I have written an application and made an installer for it which also installs the LV 8.5 runtime engine. When the app is run on other computers after the install, the 3d plot displays the message "Evaluation Copy". Is there any way to remove this? Why does it appear? I am using the 2008 NI Developer Suite.

I used the 3d surface plot. I have added controls which allow dynamic switching between color, shaded, and grayscale. I also have enabled the 3d cursor and set its color, line and point style. I have also added controls which allow dynamic switching of projections and show projections only, and controls for dynamically displaying the plot grids selectively. I am dumping data from a ccd into the plot at rates up to 40 Hz. The plot resides on a tabbed structure (third page). The data only dumps to the tabbed page (3d plot)when it is visible (ie., third page tab is selected). The other two pages contain 2d plots which receive the data when those tabbed pages are selected. Everything runs fine on all plots in both the uncompiled on dev computer; compiled on dev computer; and installed on 2nd computer. However, for the later, the "Evaluation Copy" message is displayed. I have run the installer on the dev computer. Could that have corrupted the registration/licensing of the cw3dgrph.ocx?

3d Graph shows "Evaluation copy" in distributed executables

After I built a LabVIEW 7.1.1 application using 3D Graph (including 3D Graph support), it worked fine on my machine. On another machine without LabVIEW 7.1.1 installed, there is a popup saying:
Error loading control. A newer version needed. The default settings for the control will be used.
The control itself displays a large Evaluation Copy but it works.
There are other posts reporting similar behavior but nothing that applies to that situation.
My guess is that the ocx installed by the Installer is not the same as the one installed on my machine which may have been updated with recent versions of VISA.
I tried to reinstall the LabVIEW 7.1.1 update but it says that there is a problem with the installed Run-Time Engine.
On development machine: cw3dgrph.ocx is version 8.0.0.212
On the installed machine: cw3dgrph.ocx is version 7.0.0.344
How do I fix thiat?

I hope you're doing well. Just to clarify, this issue only happens when you distribute your application in an installer and run it as an executable on a PC without the LabVIEW development environment? If so, NahoY's comment is very pertinent. This KnowledgeBase discusses some advanced techniques for using Application Builder, which includes building an application with an .ocx file and running a batch file to register it. Windows Server 2008 R2 Std Evaluation Copy showing 'License Expiry' message in just 2 weeks after installation

I have downloaded an 'Evaluation' version of Win Server 2008 R2 Std.
just 2 weeks back. This is a 180
days evaluation copy. This has been installed on the Virtual box.
Now after just 2 weeks, it is showing the message - 'Windows License is expired'. It is getting automatically
shutting down (that
too an abrupt shutdown) after every hour or so without asking to save any work that is already in progress. As this is an 180 days' copy it should run at least for 180 days. Can anyone help me out to get this fixed? Thanks in advance.

Html preview in evaluation copy

I'm evaluating flash cs3 and am having a problem when I view
preview the html generation for a simple button that opens a url
(using actionscript 2 mode). When I go preview flash, the button
works. When I preview html, the button doesn't work. Is this
happening because it's an evaluation copy? or something else. I
also tried to add the flash content with dreamweaver, with the same
result as the flash cs3 html preview.
Any thoughts?

Unable to Activate Windows 2012 Data Center Evaluation Copy

I installed a Windows Server 2012 Data Center Preview Evaluation Copy. I am trying to Activate it now so that it stops rebooting every hour. I obtained the Activation Key for a Full Version and tried all of the following to activate it:
1. Ran the following from other posts using the 2012 Data Center Full Licence Product Key.
DISM /online /Set-Edition:ServerDatacenter /ProductKey: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX /AcceptEula
I get a "Windows cannot upgrade to the edition that was specified". When I run the Get TargetEditions it says current edition cannot be upgraded to
any target editions.
I also tried with the Product key for my Eval Version, as well as the DataCenter Standard. None seem to work.
2. Called Microsoft and they tried to give me a CID. This also did not work.
How can I activate this copy of Windows. Is it possible?
if it is not possible, can you please advise on how to easily Reinstall and restore all my apps, registry settings, programs, firewall settings, network, etc. I
have a lot running on this server and reinstalling everything is not an option. Is there some easy way to reinstall Windows 2012 Data Center FULL and just import all my settings?

As per Johan's earlier suggestion, it's unsupported to "convert" or "upgrade" from Preview -> RTM. I have not tried it personally, but I would expect the convert/upgrade to be blocked (but the messaging for that is likely to be vague/obscure,
since it is unsupported i.e. untested by MS)
The guidance from MS on this topic (as per the cited TechNet library links), is to perform a clean install.
Upgrades from pre-release versions of Windows Server 2012 (such as the Release Candidate) are not supported. Perform a clean installation to Windows Server 2012.
Your desire to backup the existing Preview installation may be able to be done in an offline scenario, e.g. boot the server from a Windows installation media, or a WinPE boot media of some kind.
With this backup saved to another disk, you could then try a clean install, and then import the VMs into the rebuilt server. I would not expect you to be able to preserve much else (installed applications etc).

Cannot download the evaluation copy of Server 2012 R2

I am trying to download an evaluation copy of Server 2012 R2 from the TechNet Evaluation Center. I have tried both ISO and VHD forms but am getting the error below (that shown is for VHD) and so have not been able to access the software.

There's no way I know to convert from an eval license to a ROK license. The HP ROK media needs to be installed on the server in order to use the ROK license. In fact, if the operating system is installed using the ROK media, the installation
should be pre-activated and no post-installation activation should be required. I'm afraid a reinstall using the ROK media may be your only option.

Server 2012 r2 Evaluation copy asking for license key?

So, I'm an old dog trying to learn new tricks - the newest trick being to install Server 2012 R2 Standard with Hyper-V role. After a bit of fumbling around (good story for another time) I have managed to make it to the point of installing the OS onto the
virtual machine I created. Sweet. My understanding from extensive internet research is that I should now use an ISO image of Server 2010 R2 (an ISO of the Evaluation Copy it seems being universally suggested), for installing the OS to the virtual
machine and then subsequently change the license key to my OEM license key using the
slmgr -rearm command. OK, if that is correct I can deal with it. But I have top get it installed first. I have downloaded the following ISO from Technet:

The setup installation starts up fine, but immediately presents a prompt screen for entering the product key. Huh? I thought evaluation copies did not require a product key to perform the installation. It will not accept my OEM product key, so I am
stumped. Do I have the wrong ISO? I did try a couple of other copies/versions, but they conk out because Windows generates errors saying something to the effect that they are not the right version for the SCSI Synthetic Adapter. So is there
maybe some other ISO's I should be trying? Or, is there some place I am supposed to request a key for the ISO eval copy I have? And, if at some point I am able to get the evaluation copy installed, is my thinking correct about using my OEM key used
to activate the physical host to change the evaluation installation into a regular installation? Or, should be burning an ISO of my OEM installation disk to install from and use my OEM key directly to activate that when doing setup to the
VM?

The eval iso will not accept a oem key, this is by design, oem versions are designed for original hardware only, the eval can be activated with a volume key or I believe a retail key, the licensing agreement is different between the OEM and other
versions.
Appreciate your response. After a lot of late night mucking around was able to get a different evaluation copy to load: This one worked (but not without a bit of a struggle):

Initially I could not get this evaluation to load as the virtual SCSI adapter kept generating a system error to the effect: "Synthetic SCSI controller [...] Failed to Power on with Error: 'The version does not support this version of the file
format'". Only after moving the ISO file onto the physical drive holding the VHXD containing the VM and messing with security settings on the file did it finally load. This version (vs the other ISO) begins loading by first presenting a list of OS versions
(standard and datacenter variants) to load. From there on the installation pretty much proceeded as would a normal installation would. This version did not ask for an activation key and when finally installed shows a message on the desktop that it is good
for 180 days usage (as Microsoft has stated should be the case). I did encounter two additional problems though that had to be dealt with before success was attained.
1) the install crashed with an error "Windows cannot find the Microsoft Software License Terms. Make sure the installation sources are valid and restart the installation" . That was a head scratcher. After another an hour
of research I came a cross a mention in another forum post about memory issues being the culprit in a similar situation of someone trying to install Windows 8 into a VM. My VM was set to a use dynamic memory with a minimum of 512 MB, which is pretty typically
recommended in the install guides I have been consulting. Wrong. So, I bumped the minimum up to 1024 MB and the problem disappeared.
2) The installation halted when asking for the drive where I wanted the installation to be placed. Problem? No available drives were shown to pick from, i.e. the virtual drive defined in the hyper-V setup simply did not appear. Another
hour of digging online produced a suggestion that the VM install could not recognize the drivers for the raid controller in the physical server. Perplexing. But anyway I loaded a copy of the raid controller drivers onto a USB thumb drive and
manage to mount the thumb drive as a hard drive in the VM settings after which the virtual drive appeared in the list and the installation managed to successfully complete.
So, at this point I have a functional VM operating - albeit with much hair pulling an teeth gnashing along the way. Will spend a bit of time pounding on the system to what else I can break, or breaks on its own. Hopefully nothing because I don't have
much hair left or many teeth left to lose. fingers crossed because I haven't tried to activate the VM OS yet.

told me that no such thing (trial/evaluation) will be relased on SDN
the only way to get it is by service.sap.com
but as far as I remember there was a post that in the UK someone got a trial 30 day version...

Why do I get "Evaluation Expired" message in MAX with Switch Executive

Why do I get �Evaluation Expired� message in MAX with Switch Executive on a PXI rack, which has a �Ghosted� image from and identical PXI rack(no problem with this PXI rack), when logged in as USER in Windows2000, but not when logged in as a Local Administrator. When logged in as Administrator in Windows2000 running a TestStand sequence, using a �C� code action step calling the nise.dll is ok, but not when logged in as local user. The alias switch name is unknown.

1.0.4.109 is a dll version number where as 1.0.2 is a NISE version number. The dll version number does not always line up with the product version number.
NISE 1.0 has a dll version of 1.0.1.109
NISE 1.0.1 has a dll version of 1.1.4.1
NISE 1.0.2 has a dll version of 1.2.4.7
NISE 2.0 has a dll version of 2.0.0.45154
The best way to find the product number is to launch the application and click on Help and About. You NISE version is probably 1.0 and NISE 1.0.2 will fix your licensing problem.

Is there any way to fix long (45-90 seconds) delay in copying messages to sent mail folder?

Thunderbird is synched with IMAP to a GMail account. The only time long delays occur is copying messages to the sent mail folder. Is memory or storage within Thunderbird an issue?

Update from windows 8.1 pro evaluation copy to windows 8.1

Greetings.
Today i suddenly got BSOD when i play some games. It was too fast i cant see what the error is. And after my pc restart thers an error messege it says my windows evaluation copy has expired and will restart every 2 hour and it told me to download the newer
version and it give me option to go to windows strore or closed the messege. So i ofcourse click the windows store and download it. And after download progress reach 30% , again BSOD appears so fast i cant read what the error code is after restart the same
messega about my windows expired appear so i click windows store again [Im sure that it will resume my download progres at 30%] . But IT NOT. Im force to download again from 0%.
Now i try to search google for help :
-How to stop this damn restarting [BSOD in my case] every 2 hour because I CANT RESUME my last download how can i solve this problem?

You have screwed up your system and you're blaming the crashes on someone else. You need to stop thinking it's someone else's problem. Keeping your system healthy is your responsibility.
There is NO upgrade path from preview/evaluation copies to the released versions, anyway, so it really doesn't matter. You have to reinstall
something.
You could reinstall 8.0 and upgrade, or you could get an 8.1 disc and put that in as a fresh install (more expensive, but my recommendation), or you could see if maybe this can help you:
