Evaluation message keeps coming up
I had Meas. Studio 6 installed already fine. Recently I installed Meas. Studio.NET and decided to uninstall it. Now whenever I try to use my version 6 stuff I get this message:
"You have 30 days to evaluate the Meas. Studio ActiveX controls. After this period..."

I tried both of these solutions and still the evaluation version of the control pops up in my application.
I am not totally sure I am doing everything correctly when uninstalling/unregistering components (.ocx, .dll)
A few questions:
Do I have to unregister and delete ALL of the .ocx files associated with NI? or just the cwui.ocx? and if I need to unregister/delete all of them, are they all found in the system32 folder with cw at the beginning of the filename?
Also, do I need to unregister/delete ALL the .dll's in the system32 folder that are from NI? I noticed that even after using the msiblast application there were still alot of NI .dll files in there.
I also tried looking in the registry as you mentioned Jeff, but the registry key you mentioned is not even present on my development machine (the CWUI folder is there but the keys are not the same). The same registry entry ( the CWUI folder) is not even present on a separate machine that has a licensed version of Meas. Studio installed.
The second machine I mentioned is my clean machine for deployment testing and never even had the evaluation version of Meas. Studio installed.....But I did install the licensed version on the clean machine and then tried taking the control out of the main form and reinstalling it, but it still puts the evaluation version back into the program.
Am I not installing the correct drivers when I do the install of the licensed version of Meas. Studio? I was only prompted to put in the two device driver disks when installing, is the graphing component found elsewhere in the barrage of CD's that come with the Labview program?
I sincerely appreciate the help you gentlemen have provided to this point and only hope that we have not explored all of our options.....Please let me know.

I have tried to just install the new version of itunes from the apple website, it looks like it downloads but after 5 minutes at the end of the install it says 'old version of itunes cannot be uninstalled, please contact support.'?
Is there anyway I can remove the version of itunes from my computer? i dont mind if i lose the music/content I already have on my itunes. I need to do this as i have just received the iphone 4 and need to install the newest version of itunes.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.) -
I am having serious issues trying to alter my old iCloud account with an old non-functioning email to my new apple id with a new email address. The message keeps coming up on all my apple products with my old email (which is not available anymore).
I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -

Hello.
My iPad2 shows a message of iCloud"Ignore or Settings". When I press on either "Ignore or Settings" it does not do anything. The screen is totally frozen. I haved turned it OFF and ON , but message keeps coming back.
Any ideas?

Whenever i try to sync my ipod a message keeps coming up saying "1 or more items could not be synced", apparently its error -69. Please help, i've tried rebooting my laptop, installing the latest itunes and turning off the wifi but nothing seems to work.

I am trying to install final cut pro 6 onto my mac but a message keeps coming up saying its doesnt support a powerpc, anyone have any tips please?
If you have an Intel Mac and have recently upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion; here is a post I made in another similar thread:
I do not have any experience with Final Cut, but if you have existing projects that you MUST access; then you are in need of a solution on your new iMac in Mountain Lion!
Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion). While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Workarounds:
1. If your Mac will support it, restore OS X Snow Leopard;
2. If your Mac will support it, partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it and use the "dual-boot" method to choose between Final Cut Pro or Lion/Mt. Lion;
3. Purchase a used Mac that will run Snow Leopard (with the optional Rosetta installed) and continue to run FCE on that Mac (you can actually use Screen Sharing with a "headless" used Snow Leopard Mac Mini and use the screen from your other Mac to view and work FCP in the Mac Mini environment);
2. Upgrade to an Intel compatible version of FCP (such as FCP X) and hope it converts your existing projects to its newer format correctly. There is much debate that the newer version of Final Cut are eliminating many needed features; for example Final Cut Pro X vs. Final Cut Pro 6 -- many users are staying with version 6;
3. Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels and then install FCE in the Snow Leopard environment:

This means that you did not enter a valid user ID and/or password for the Outgoing (SMTP) mail server when setting up the account. You must enter information for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers; they are separate settings.

My IPhoto would no longer open, I uninstalled it, and tried to reinstall it with my software reinstall drive. A message keeps coming up, installation failed. What do I now?
If you have a copy of it backed up, restore that. If not, back up your computer, upgrade it to Mavericks, and then get the current iPhoto version. If you don't have it backed up and don't want to upgrade, go to the Mac App Store main page, click on Support under Quick Links, contact Apple, and see what they say.
