Evaluation path - ECM - Org. unit - Compensation review

Hi guys,
We are implementing the new Entreprise Compensation Management with the new SAP HR portal release.
When a manager performs a compensation review, he should be abble to do it for the direct employees from his organizational unit. He should also be abble to perform the compensation review for the manager belonging to the org. unit one level below. In the standard settings, the manager has also access to the employees from the org. unit just below his, which is incorrect.
I thank you in advance if you have some solution or suggestion to solve this matter.

Querry regarding Evaluation path in org management

Hi Experts,
I need to configure an evaluation path as follows.
1. A manager M1 belongs to org unit O1. He manages Org unit O2.
2. Org unit O2 reports to O1. similarly O3 also reports to O1.
3. Now I need to develop a evaluation path in which, M1 should have visibility to all employees from both O2 and O3 in his MSS..
I have tried out many combinations with A002 and B002 relationships. but it not working.
So could you help me to build this evaluation path.

Hi Sameer,
As per your existing relationships, 02 and 03 both reports to 01 org. unit..
M1 belongs to 01, and 02 Reports to 01.
So I think you should create a relationship like the following.
1) Either M1 has to manage 03 (A012)
or
2) 02 has to Reports to 01 (A002 b/w the org.units)
I think any one of the above relationships must exist..
Otherwise, M1 cannot view all the employees from 03 in MSS, Since He is no more related with Org. unit 03.

Evaluation path to get personnel number all the org unit and subordinates

Dear all,
I have OM issue to ask.This is the scenario:
Staff A belong to org 1. Under Org 1, I have org unit 1-A, 1-B and org unit 1-C.
Issue 1 :
I want to run report(RHSTRU00) to to generate all the staff number in org 1 (Include 1-A, 1-B, and 1-C).
Issue 2 :
I want to run report for 1-A, only staff belongs in org 1-A appear.The others not appear.
I was understanding I have to play around with evaluation path. Until now I can't find the suitable evaluation_path. I need your help.tq

Hi,
Not sure why you want to reinvent the wheel. The standard report RHXSTRU02 will give you people by Org Unit. Just enter the Org Unit ID number and you will get the employees as output.
If you still want to use RHSTRU00, you can use O-P or O-S-P to get the employees and the positions.

ECM spent budget was clean up when approval manager reject an org unit?

Hi HR Experts,
When an approval manager rejects an org unit, the spent budget of this org unit is clean up but the budget still distributed to each employee in that org in the infotype 0759 therefore leads to inconsistency of budget in ECM.
Is there any body experience this issue?

i lived through this painful process very much, we made a quick SM30 tcode transaction to be able to do data maintenace on HRPADPM - this is where the budget spent amount is actually saved.
the key for this table is stored on the budget unit to org unit relationship in HRP1001.
if anyone has a better process to fix out sync spent budgets please let us know...

ECM EHP4 - prepare org units

Hi Experts,
We have just upgraded our SAP to EHP4 and I'm now testing the new functionality.
I get an error message when running the report 'The spec. org. unit does not have a mgr. with a user during the review'
I don't understand this message because UserID is valid for the entire review period.
Hope that someone can clarify this for me

You need to check that the org unit has a manager with a user.
Set a breakpoint in method CL_HRECM00_PLANNING_SERVICES->GET_PLANNINGMGRS_OF_ORGUNIT:
   CALL METHOD cl_hrecm00_planning_services=>get_user_of_pernr
      EXPORTING
        key_date = keydate
        pernr    = planning_manager-manager_pernr
      IMPORTING
        user     = planning_manager-manager_user.
    " Managers that do not have a user assigned are not

Personnel Cost Planning: creating cost item for Org unit

Hi experts,
I am trying to attach a cost item to an org unit by maintaing feature hcp02 but the somehow the cost item applies itself to both org unit and position. Could anyone please let me know the how this can be done?

It is extremely difficult to answer your question without knowing all the details of your scenario.
I can briefly explain the scenario I used:
1. I have maintained IT1005 on job level to further distribute this information along the organization structure.
2. First of all i had to run data collection on job level using method "Infotype planned compensation: 1005" and cost item that was a base for other items, e.g. basic salary. System creates records in infotype 5010 "Planning of Pers. Costs" for evaluated jobs.
3. Then I collected cost items for positions using method "Data from related cost planning objects", calculation type A, basis that I previously set up, evaluation path O_O_S_C (I started from head org.unit) and object type source C. I did it for positions to have possibility to adjust cost items on position level using transaction PHCPDCUI - Edit Data, e.g. you can ask managers to review your defaults on position level before staring consolidation on org.unit level.
4. Then you start data collection on org.unit level using cost items on position level. Process similar to step 3 but with different evaluation path and source object.
5. When it's done you run cost planning (PHCPADMN - Manage) using special plan for planning based on OM data.
There are plenty of other scenarios, so can't really give you exact answer on your question, as I don't which scenario you use.

Replication from HR not updating SRM Org Unit adddress's

Can anyone help here , I am working on EC SRM 4.0. We have our SRM Org structure replicated from HR, but for some of the org units in SRM the address has not been replicated, Yet when I check org unit HR PPOSE, the address in the org unit is present and nothing seems out of the ordinary for these org units in HR
This is causing a problem as the users attached to these nodes without address's are becoming defective and require repair

Information i have found for you on this is as follows. I hope it might help you a bit.
This issue occurs because the intial distribution has not been done
correctly. Please review the way to distribute HR datas :
1- Using transaction PFAL, sending the objects C, O, S successively in
   Update mode with the infotypes 1000, 1002 and 1028 only, without
   using evaluation paths (all existing objects).
   => The objects will then be created without relationship, and no
   error must be reported.
2- Using transaction PFAL, sending the object P in Update mode.
   => As the structure objects are already present, no error message
   must be generated. If some are, please analyse them, and correct them
   before the next step.
3- Using transaction PFAL, sending the objects C, O, S successively in
   Update mode (without restrictions, or only the infotype 1001).
   => The relationships which were not sent in step 1 are then
   distributed.
4- The changes pointers can now be activated and processed, as the
   initialization has been done (steps 1 to 3).

HCM-ORG MANAGMENT Config error, in creation of Org Units.

I am trying to configure the HCM-Organization Management in ECC 6.0, When I try to maintain an Org Unit, the system prompts with an Information Message as stated below, since it was an information message, i continued creating the Org Unit, but when I am trying to save the entry, Now system shows me the same message and doesnt allow me save the entry and prompts me with same message...

Diagnosis
You want to start structural reporting, but you have not specified an evaluation path according to table T778A.
Can any of you help me in this regard.

Org Unit reporting under OM

Hello All,
I always get this request from most of my end users about running a report/creating an ad hoc query that will list the Employee details of the parent Org and subsequent child Orgs (O) untill the last one available. Everytime I put the Parent Org Unit no. in my input values and then select the (Reporting to or Incorporates) relationship, it returns with the PERNR details of the direct reports only. Where as I want the PERNRs and other details of these PERNRS for all employees who are in the child Orgs reporting to the Parent Org. (all IT0001 details) . I end up manually keying in the Org no. for all the child orgs in the report to get these details. This is cumbersome since few of our Org unit has at least 6 levels of reporting.Is there a easier way or standard report available to run these kind of queries ?

2. Object ID = your parent Org Unit
3. in structure parameters tab for EVALUATION PATH give O_S_P or O_S_P_O
4. In PA reporting use RPLICO10

I have a very common requirement in SAP HCM ABAP development.
For an Org Unit, how do we get all Reporting Org units(Also employees reporting to the sub org unit) & Employees ?
I have tried using RH_STRUC_GET_MULTIPLE_ROOTS and RHPH_STRUCTURE_READ, but the evaluation path is insufficient to get all objects under it. I tried with both O-S-P and O-O-S-P evaluation paths and as per some constraints, I can’t create a customized evaluation path for a reason.
I am using PNPCE database for user selection screen and user would be advising the Org unit. I even referred the standard transaction ‘S_AHR_61016495’ which is using PCH logical database.
I would really appreciate if anyone could provide a solution for this. (Rewards guranteed )

Although I could not respond in time, thank you so much for your prompt reply.
I had used the same RHPH_STRUCTURE_READ and passed the appropriate values to it, but it did not populate the required results. I cross checked the results manually, may be some relations issue. But later I tried using RH_STRUC_GET_MULTIPLE_ROOTS and it worked fine.
Meanwhile I had done a workaround with PCH and RH_STRUC_GET and it served the purpose of getting all the Org units, it’s reporting sub-org-units, positions and persons (The deepest structure from the root org unit advised on selection screen).
The solution I used is, I captured the org-units advised on selection screen by user using PCH logical database and then by looping on sub-org units reporting to the main org-unit I populated related positions and persons holding them and assigned it to the PNPCE logical database.

How to find the all the org units of chief org unit

i have one cheif org unit which belongs to IT. i Just need to take all the org units into one internal table upto last org unit.
ex: 500000 is the chief org unit then we check that belongs to taht
550000 and 560000
and agian 550000 is having or units
556000 and 557000 ....
now requirement is now i input on 500000 on selection--screen and i need to get
550000
556000
557000
560000
I used evaluation path as o-o and used call function 'HRCM_ORGSTRUC_INFO_TABLE_GET'.
but able to get only the just next level org units.ie. 550000 and 560000 Not others ..So is there any way where we can find all the org units that comes under the MAIN ORG UNIT 5000000.

Use the FM: RH_STRUC_GET with the evaluation path : ORGEH.
If you are still not able to get the required results,then go to Tcode: OOAW and find the suitable evalution path for your requirement.

Critical abap hr req - How to find the previous org unit of the employee?

I need small inputs from your end...
I need to find the employee org unit based on the latest one.....
i just want to know if an employe is Transfered from the org unit .....we can check it from the ORG unit.
My requirement is to now capture only the org unit of IT folks not for the employees who are transfered to NON-IT department.....
sop if an empployee 5000 org unit belongs to IT of employee 1000 and NOW he transfered out of IT with current 6000 org unit then how can we read that 5000 ?
now i am using PCH logical data base...
Based on evaluation path(Pers-0) i will pick up the pernr 1000.
now when i check the org unit it is 6000 with end da 12/31/9999.
then i loop
select * from pa0001 into itab where pernr = objec--objid and otype = 'P'.
enselect.
loop at itab where pernr = objec-objid.
Here in the loop what is the logic we need to write to pick up the previous org unit please suggest
endloop.

HR Report to display headcount up to 10 levels of Org Units

Hi Experts,
Can you please give steps for the following requirement.Is there any standards available.Please explain the procedure to create report.
Points will be awarded fot the suitable solutions.
The report shouldl query SAP for the number of employees based on the personnel area and sub area. The main reporting is based on the sub area. If the employee is in the India Pers Area the total number of employees from each sub area will have to be deducted from the headcount for that sub area and added to the India area for headcount totaling.   For each of the areas/subareas we need to gather the total number of Active Employees, Temp Employees and Contractors. This information can be gathered from the employee group.

If you want to read the org unit hierarchy from the org structure, tables HRP1001 and HRP1000 should
have all the information you need. HRP1001 hold the relationships between the org structure objects
and HRP1000 holds information about each object.
If you don't want to do the selects yourself, there is a very useful function module called
RH_STRUC_GET which does the same sort of thing ie reads the relationships between org structure objects
using whatever evaluation path you pass in in parameter ACT_WEGID..

Org Units without reporting relationship

Hello Everyone,
Can anybody suggest if we can report all the org units which do not have any reporting relationship via adhoc queries ?
I am trying the same but not able to do so. The way I am trying: Evaluation path - A002 and restricting the output with program selection - relationship not equal to A-002.
Please help on this to proceed if we can do this in adhoc query.
